Maybe i shouldve played a mono green deck with creatures that had trample i bet i would kick so much narco butt because they will just be blocking with their stinkweed imps. Creatures without trample will be hard to get through a dredging imp though. I also definetly think mono green aggro definetly needs draw considering you can draw more threats to win games that you shouldn't have.
By the way i have great news to share with all of you i have a pretty good chance to get promoted to being a checker at the grocery store i work at. The senior supervisor wants me to keep talking to her about it and im so happy to hear that from her before i left work today.

With pump, my build was almost the best aggro deck in the format when I played yesterday for FNM. Its that annoying Solar Flare that my friend uses that only defeated me.

Gack, I've been busy lately. I just got three banners completed for my banner shop. My Gimp skills steadily keep improving, though.
A small update (mainly to help myself organize) on what I've been watching lately:

On the job front, I need to get more applications out tomorrow... I've been slacking lately. At this rate I'll never get out of this job. Bleh. Go go unmotivation...full...ness. Yeah.
All you others out there (espescially Sakura) who are going through hard times, I feel for ya. Hang in there, and you'll get through it.

Well whew Ive been exhausted playing Naruto Shippuden: Narutimate Accel and finishing the game just to unlock the 6 hidden characters. Geez I dont know a thing about japanese and I played the game with strategy guide by my side cuz I dont know the hell of japanese writings and language. Anyway I managed to do it, and now I have Itachi, Kisame, Deidara, sasori, chiyo and Yondaime.

By the way hunter alacar suggested gaea's anthem in mga since it makes your elves and birds more immune to darkblast and if it takes them to get two darkblasts to kill a birds then anthem has done its job or if they naturalize or krosan grip it instead of a tormod's crypt. I was thinking of replacing the moldervine cloaks for gaea's anthems. what do you think hunter?

Honestly, I had no problem with Dragon's words, as I felt, even if they were a bit blunt, they were right.
Now, what I did have a problem with, was some of the reactions to his words. We've always been accepting of new members, and the actions of some of the regulars out-right disappointed me. Now I now that's pretty much water under the bridge, but I feel like Dragon's a great new member of the 'house, and he deserves the same respect that the originals get.
Also, I don't think I ever did this, so here it goes:
I am getting excited to play in my next round in the standard tournament hopefully i win so i can be about half way to the top which won't be too bad in this stage of the tournament since there will be 3 more rounds afterwards.
I am having fun in the tournament though and its a challenge for me since im usually not really an aggro player im way more of a control player By the way i have almost 90 hours on dq7 lol. Ill see you all soon and have a great weekend everyone! *hugs and blows kisses*

Wasteland: Destroy non-basic lands which help alot versus decks like multicolor goblins, threshold, landstill and even against hulk flash since they play with duals.

Wretched anurid: Brings a heavy duty clock and can be ritual out pretty quick as well.
Nantuko Shade: The decks primary beat stick and can be used as a decent chump blocker as well when needed.
Hymn to tourach: The best discard spell when using with dark ritual.
Hypnotic Specter: Provides a quick clock when ritual out early and can be good against control and combo decks because of its discarding ability.
Phyrexian Negator: A very quick and big beater when you cast this with dark ritual. Great creature against combo and control less so against aggro or creature based decks.
Cabal therapy: Great card against control and combo might be too slow against hulk flash especially if they get a turn 0.5 win but we can all hope to cast this and name protean hulk or flash.
Diabolic Edict: Great spot creature removal card and great against decks that pack in untargetable creatures like nimble mongoose and more.
Dark ritual: usually a must in this deck and one of the only reason why it makes this deck alot more consistent then without it.
Infest: Great at clearing the board against goblins, elves, and even great against angel stompy and other aggro strategy decks.
Duress: The best discard spell in legacy in tense of combating control and combo decks.
Dystopia: Good card for the board against enchantress and decks that packs in worship which sometimes i see them used in threshold. Also great at removing creatures as well i mainly sideboard this against threshold, angel stompy, and enchantress.
Leyline of the void: prevents hulk flash's turn 0.5 win. Also great against threshold, reanaimator and other decks that uses their graveyard to gain card advantage on you.
Extirpate: A great synergetic card with discard against combo and control especially.
Vendeta: Some extra removal won't hurt against aggro decks especially.

Yeah i love dark confidant as well im recently playing this one deck called blue eon apocolaypse its a pretty cool deck it plays like fish except somewhat less aggressive but its a pretty original deck. There is dark confidants in there at least. It also has a good game against hulk flash if you add stifles in the blue eon list.
Thanks for the compliment shah i just wanted people to see that black suicide has a chance against hulk flash as well and i did my best to make it so it could deal with hulk flash as well as still have a decent game versus alot of other decks.
Well vendetta is good against a first turn lackey and also can remove piledrivers as well as meddling mages and werebears although ive been thinking of some other creature removal in that slot instead. Oh i see what you mean lol thats pretty interesting that mtgs did that with the black card vendeta.
Well, I basically came on here to say that I can't be on the computer until the end of the year. Basically, my parents were alarmed that I was getting two C's on my report card and blamed how much time I spend on the computer. (I'm going to fix the real problem while I can't be online ;).) We have playtested anthem before and since the earliest it can drop is turn two, the first Bird/elf can be killed easily by the opponent, then turn two you cant drop the anthem and turns will be slow and messed up after that. MGA lists today as you can see depends on TS block and seldom relies to rav parts nowadays such is the ledgewalkers, dryad sophies and skarrgan pitskulks. I rather think that the anthem slows MGA down IMHO. If it works for you then try it. But Id rather have an elephant to drop on turn 2 rather than a static pump that makes my mana critt still susceptible to shock.
In standard, The anthem's use is for swarm and ghazi and token decks. In MGA every turn is a must, if its a pump then its gotta do some big damage. Drop a haste critt or a biggie, pump it, then win the game. In my lists there are always a minimum of 30 creatures so I wont run out of gas and even if it was dealt with removal Im sure im gonna draw a creature 50% of the time. Im having Gaeas anthem in my Monogreen Elves deck(a fun deck) because all of them are weenies. in MGA im not using the anthem just to save my creatures. Its bang bang bang!!^_^
This deck plays alot like any other fish deck and it has alot of the same disruption in form of stps, duress, daze, and force of will. It beats down with a bunch of small critters as well and if needed it has jitte to seal the deal against mirrors and other aggro or aggro-control decks.
Ive done some testing with this list so far against hulk flash and ive won all but one game and i played about 4 games with it it may or may not mean something.

Looks good ceci, just one thing: what happened to hymn to Tourach? I mean, one of the strongest first turns in the game was always rit, duress, Hymn? I'm a little rusty but that I recall with much pleasure, hitting lands and decent counterspells with my hymn.
also, this looks very much like mono black aggro from Ody-Onslaught standard, which was the last time mono black was really a tier 1 deck, but it was more a controlish deck. As oposed to the clearly aggro hatred deck that some people still play. Which is better?

@snoop: i probably would go with the aggro-control type of mono black deck(which is the one that i just listed well i think it plays aggro and control simultaneously anyway) since it has more versatility then straight up aggro and it makes it more consistent when it can play two routes at the sametime.
Ah, yes, the good old days of ritual/hymn. I started playing right after Fallen Empires had come out. The first expansion I saw come out was - get ready - Homelands. And I was excited about it too. Baron Sengir, Autumn Willow, Eron the Relentless... Ahh, nostalgia.

I've seen a few good movies in the last few days. Today I went and saw Shrek III. It surprised me - it wasn't actually all that bad, and I liked it rather more than the second film. The story was suprisingly decent.
The other two were rentals. Arthur and the Invisibles had an animation style that I liked. Well, I do have to admit, I'm a sucker for animation in general (gee, I bet you're surprised to learn that, huh?), so I probably liked it more than it was generally due. The other rental was Pan's Labyrinth. It was dark and had muppet-like creatures, both pluses in my book. What I liked most about it was that it was dark and pensive, and felt like one of the "real" Grimm fairy tales.

Hey folks, sorry I've been missing. Had some things I had to take care of and plum forgot to post. As is my (unfortunate) custom, I have to skip what I missed, because I can't really read 400+ posts without going insane. Sorry.
Me, I finished all my classes with decent grades. I know I'm getting a high B in Psychology (would have been an A, but I missed one or two assignments), and I think I'm getting at least that in Math. Not an A, no, but I can deal. I'll have to try to get a better time for Education, and have to retake Biology because I missed too many classes due to the stupid time it was set.

By the way hunter alacar suggested gaea's anthem in mga since it makes your elves and birds more immune to darkblast and if it takes them to get two darkblasts to kill a birds then anthem has done its job or if they naturalize or krosan grip it instead of a tormod's crypt. I was thinking of replacing the moldervine cloaks for gaea's anthems. what do you think hunter?

Now, what I did have a problem with, was some of the reactions to his words. We've always been accepting of new members, and the actions of some of the regulars out-right disappointed me. Now I now that's pretty much water under the bridge, but I feel like Dragon's a great new member of the 'house, and he deserves the same respect that the originals get.

This list is meant to deal with hulk flash variants as well as still have a good game against the rest of the field.

Card Choices:
Wasteland: Destroy non-basic lands which help alot versus decks like multicolor goblins, threshold, landstill and even against hulk flash since they play with duals.
card]:
Ghost Quarter: Same as wasteland.
Wretched anurid: Brings a heavy duty clock and can be ritual out pretty quick as well.
Nantuko Shade: The decks primary beat stick and can be used as a decent chump blocker as well when needed.
Hymn to tourach: The best discard spell when using with dark ritual.
Hypnotic Specter: Provides a quick clock when ritual out early and can be good against control and combo decks because of its discarding ability.
Phyrexian Negator: A very quick and big beater when you cast this with dark ritual. Great creature against combo and control less so against aggro or creature based decks.
Cabal therapy: Great card against control and combo might be too slow against hulk flash especially if they get a turn 0.5 win but we can all hope to cast this and name protean hulk or flash.
Diabolic Edict: Great spot creature removal card and great against decks that pack in untargetable creatures like nimble mongoose and more.
Dark ritual: usually a must in this deck and one of the only reason why it makes this deck alot more consistent then without it.
Infest: Great at clearing the board against goblins, elves, and even great against angel stompy and other aggro strategy decks.
Duress: The best discard spell in legacy in tense of combating control and combo decks.
Dystopia: Good card for the board against enchantress and decks that packs in worship which sometimes i see them used in threshold. Also great at removing creatures as well i mainly sideboard this against threshold, angel stompy, and enchantress.
Leyline of the void: prevents hulk flash's turn 0.5 win.
Extirpate: A great synergetic card with discard against combo and control especially.
Vendeta: Some extra removal won't hurt against aggro decks especially.
Well this is all i have for this weeks legacy of the week and hopefully ill be able to find sometime to type another legacy deck review next week.

I'm sorry I haven't been very active recently. I've been busy lately, and I won't be on much today either. I just wanted to make time to stop by and say hello to everyone.
@Hunter - I respect mono green aggro, but I'm not planing on putting any forests into play anytime soon. Remember, I like to storm for my wins.
@Kevin - Nice Sui black there. Just why oh why isn't my favorite little black wizard in there?! Heh. I always play Dark Confidant when given the option. But then again, he loves me. I'm so very lucky with that card. I could put it in freaking draco explosion and still never take damage from it.
One little thing of note. I don't think you want to include Vendetta in your mono black deck. Or has Yoda gone colorblind?

Yeah i love dark confidant as well im recently playing this one deck called blue eon apocolaypse its a pretty cool deck it plays like fish except somewhat less aggressive but its a pretty original deck. There is dark confidants in there at least.
Thanks for the compliment shah i just wanted people to see that black suicide has a chance against hulk flash as well and i did my best to make it so it could deal with hulk flash as well as still have a decent game versus alot of other decks.
Well vendetta is good against a first turn lackey and also can remove piledrivers as well as meddling mages and werebears although ive been thinking of some other creature removal in that slot instead. Oh i see what you mean lol thats pretty interesting that mtgs did that with the black card vendeta.

Well, I basically came on here to say that I can't be on the computer until the end of the year. Basically, my parents were alarmed that I was getting two C's on my report card and blamed how much time I spend on the computer. (I'm going to fix the real problem while I can't be online ;).) We have playtested anthem before and since the earliest it can drop is turn two, the first Bird/elf can be killed easily by the opponent, then turn two you cant drop the anthem and turns will be slow and messed up after that. MGA lists today as you can see depends on TS block and seldom relies to rav parts nowadays such is the ledgewalkers, dryad sophies and skarrgan pitskulks. I rather think that the anthem slows MGA down IMHO. If it works for you then try it. But Id rather have an elephant to drop on turn 2 rather than a static pump that makes my mana critt still susceptible to shock.
In standard, The anthem's use is for swarm and ghazi and token decks. In MGA every turn is a must, if its a pump then its gotta do some big damage. Drop a haste critt or a biggie, pump it, then win the game. In my lists there are always a minimum of 30 creatures so I wont run out of gas and even if it was dealt with removal Im sure im gonna draw a creature 50% of the time. Im having Gaeas anthem in my Monogreen Elves deck(a fun deck) because all of them are weenies. in MGA im not using the anthem just to save my creatures. Its bang bang bang!!^_^

This deck plays alot like any other fish deck and it has alot of the same disruption in form of stps, duress, daze, and force of will. It beats down with a bunch of small critters as well and if needed it has jitte to seal the deal against mirrors and other aggro or aggro-control decks.
Ive done some testing with this list so far against hulk flash and ive won all but one game and i played about 4 games with it it may or may not mean something.

Looks good ceci, just one thing: what happened to hymn to Tourach? I mean, one of the strongest first turns in the game was always rit, duress, Hymn? I'm a little rusty but that I recall with much pleasure, hitting lands and decent counterspells with my hymn.
also, this looks very much like mono black aggro from Ody-Onslaught standard, which was the last time mono black was really a tier 1 deck, but it was more a controlish deck. As oposed to the clearly aggro hatred deck that some people still play. Which is better?
Yeah i forgot to add hymn when i was typing up the list thanks snoop. Sorry about that. Its all fixed now though.

@snoop: i probably would go with the aggro-control type of mono black deck(which is the one that i just listed well i think it plays aggro and control simultaneously anyway) since it has more versatility then straight up aggro and it makes it more consistent when it can play two routes at the sametime.

All you Naruto fans...
I've seen a few good movies in the last few days. Today I went and saw Shrek III. It surprised me - it wasn't actually all that bad, and I liked it rather more than the second film. The story was suprisingly decent.
The other two were rentals. Arthur and the Invisibles had an animation style that I liked. Well, I do have to admit, I'm a sucker for animation in general (gee, I bet you're surprised to learn that, huh?), so I probably liked it more than it was generally due. The other rental was Pan's Labyrinth. It was dark and had muppet-like creatures, both pluses in my book. What I liked most about it was that it was dark and pensive, and felt like one of the "real" Grimm fairy tales.

Me, I finished all my classes with decent grades. I know I'm getting a high B in Psychology (would have been an A, but I missed one or two assignments), and I think I'm getting at least that in Math. Not an A, no, but I can deal. I'll have to try to get a better time for Education, and have to retake Biology because I missed too many classes due to the stupid time it was set.
Here's another question. You know dreams where you're about to die, yet you wake up before you do? Is it a bad thing that I actually DO die in my dreams? I'm told that you're supposed to die if that happens, but...
