I still think the 4x Disciple + 8x 0/0's is simpler and way cooler.
But I don't play legacy, so I'm not sure which version is the optimal one against the metagame.
@Shah - You mean Flash? I don't think they'll ever bring it back... it would just be a pain in the ass, as they would be unable to design good goes-to-the-graveyard creatures just to keep them from interacting with it.
Well in my opinion i think the one with karmic guide, mirror breaker is the more optimal build against the current metagame considering it frees up more slots for anti-hate like playing with chain of vapor against a turn 0 leyline of the void or perhaps some stifles for the mirror or something to that nature. Maybe even some cunning wishes to search for flash or general board control cards to pull off the combo easier.
Yes, the Karmic Guide build is stronger. The Disciple build is technically faster...but less consistant and has less space to answer Leyline and such. I was thinking Disciple would get the axe, but seeing the Guide/Kiki build makes me wonder. Flash does not really deserve a banning though, and as silly as it sounds...its the Hulk thats the issue. Banning either of these cards would screw the casual player though, and on their own they are really not that amazing. I think though that once people catch on it will be hated out pretty fierce. Though the additions from Future Sight do worry me.
In either of the builds...the two cards that make it work ;
Flash : We have needed a new archetype to shake things up in Legacy, badly. This does just that. A powerful card. Its excistance limits future card desgn somewhat.
Protean Hulk : A fun casual card, actually pretty crappy overall. But ultimately it is a powerful tutoring effect. Surprised nobody runs Sneak Attack in this deck as a backup. Tutoring effects are often the first to get the axe mind you.
Flash does not really deserve a banning though, and as silly as it sounds...its the Hulk thats the issue.
I disagree. The Hulk has a very reasonable effect, because it costs seven mana. The problem child is Flash - you simply shouldn't be able to cheat any creature in and out of play for two mana. With Flash, ANY card with a good comes into play / leaves play effect, no matter how expensive, will be abusable.

Would this guy be broken? By no means. But with Flash in the metagame, it's a two-mana Wit's End.
The amount of restraint a card like Flash puts into design is just not worth having the card around.
I personally think flash should be banned as well but i doubt they will ban it but hopefully something will be done. Its actually raised quite a bit in sells and its usualy all about the money and not the format that people adore including myself since ive played legacy for 3 years. Ive never seen quite like a deck like hulk flash that literally changes the existing meta quite a bit instead of the opposite.

For some reason i feel like a different person after i recovered from my food poisoning i think its for the better too because i actually bought my mom a mother's day card which is the first time ive done that which makes me pretty glad.

aww what a story! I've actually worn a dress when i was little too not in public but at home i think it was like age 15 i worn a dress and i did it more then a couple of times as well. I admit im a little transgender as well since i enjoy being cecilia even though shes a fictional character but when i role play her she is quite real to me.

@Faerie Lord - I've actually always wanted to watch Eurovision, but it isn't aired here (at least not in any cable channel I have access to). It sounds like a lot of fun, especially with how broad the style range can be - from Céline Dion to Lordi. It would be nice if we had something like that in Latin America.

Well, I'm pretty sure my father's suffering from an oxygen deprivation these days; he died shortly after my mother did in 2005. Not to worry, though. I hated him more than anything in the world and was actually relieved to find that he'd kicked it.
Also, I don't overcompensate. Enjoying one's masculine qualities and indulging in them out of satisfaction is hardly overcompensating. I don't go out of my way to prove that I'm a guy; I just love being one =)

To change to a name which fits anything but your birth gender requires getting your birth certificate changed first, which requires surgery.
I think I found a loophole though.
My middle birth name is Patrick, my new middle name is Patricia. If I start signing everything by my middle name, by rights I should be able to use Trish legally.

@Ceci, I know I'm biased because I survived Combo Winter when Academy and MOMa and then Jar choked type 2 for months on end. So when you say "as many as half the decks at GP Columbus will be Flash" it brings up bad memories of going to tournaments where 5 people ran Academy.dec and the other three had 4x Duress, 4x Ritual, 4x main Lobotomy. It is such a strong statement that even Clamp Affinity didn't get 50% and it suffered more serial bannings overall than even Academy. I would tend to agree with you.
Given the obvious distortion of the format back then, and compared to Affinity days and now, how much of a distortion or corruption does Flash have on current competitive Legacy? When you say 4x main Chalice or Leyline is the only answer, are you implying that there will be only two types of decks, Flash and anti-Flash, and that even Flash has mutated into a single dominant version with Summoner's Pact leaving all previous versions in the dust?
If it is banned, when would they need to announce it? I can imagine it's nigh too late for many people planning on going. They've already bought the combo pieces, playtested it to exclusion of other decks, etc. On the other hand, what might happen to Legacy's legitimacy as a growing format if its entire debut season is essentially all about the elephant in the room?
edit; I don't want Summoners Pact to get the banhammer. That is akin to banning necro and Yawgmoth's Bargain when the real culprit was rit. (I suffered through that GP as well and lost to two identical Trix decks twice in a row.) Okay, so Necro and Bargain are inherently broken and only less so without ritual. Lol! Well, it just *sounds* fun. I must say I hate American Idol and the like because they always promote bland, been-there-done-that artists and never offer anything new and unusual. (Sanjaya should totally have won! :p) Eurovision, however, sounds different... while there are plenty of bland acts, you gotta respect any pop music show that rewards Lordi with it's #1 prize. Not that I'm even that into Lordi, but they sound so unlike anything my local mainstream would ever embrace that I just can't help but feel the show is a good thing just for the sake of variety.

Well im not sure what is the exact percentage of people playing hulk flash but i think its going to be around 25 percent to about 50 percent and maybe anywhere in between so its just a guess that i threw up there.
Well the thing is decks like fish, ugw threshold, 4 color landstill, and more probably automatically have cards that can deal with hulk flash like stifle, meddling mage, force of will, daze, chalice, and more. Even though hulk flash will make a direct impact itself on legacy it doesnt really change decks like ugw thresh, and fish all of that much since their disruption is pretty general and useful in the metagame before hulk became apparent. Although it probably will change decks alot that arent as versatile as the decks i named above but i guess if they cant adjust then that means they probably won't be played anymore.
They probably will announce it on June 1st of this year. Yeah im pretty sure they are not going to do any banning before the GP columbus.
Like Cecilia said, the stuff that disrupts Hulk Flash also disrupts alot of other decks and are standard in sidebords and sometimes mainboards.

Episode 8: Coffeebreasts
The episode begins with Sakura standing in a dark room, wearing a tattered wedding dress with mascara streaking down her cheeks. A lone spotlight descends on her, and she begans to curse Omna for stealing away her little pet, Arguas. She turns around, and snaps her fingers, causing a mysterious doll, Mr. Stuff, to spring to life. She tells command Mr. Stuff to stalk the two lovers and find out anything he can about them, because she must find a way to destroy Omna and steal Arguas back.
Just then, Tanthalas walks into the room, and the lights come back on. He asks her who she is talking to, and she quickly lies by telling him that she needs her lithium or else she starts hearing voices. He tells her that is a clear and obvious lie, so she just changes the subject to gender and steals his keys when he inevitably drops to the floor in a deep sleep, and escapes.
Meanwhile, Alacar is embroiled in a hard hitting, fast paced battle of boring nerdliness with Shaharazad. Cards are flung back and forth with much flair and gusto, as the two men lock in a gentlemen's game of counterspells as a bored-to-tears Mamelon reads through a stack of Korean manga left behind by the last nerd that died trying to seek Shaharazad's almighty power.
Since we last left, 4 hours have passed, and the second turn has nearly begun. Alacar readies his end of turn step, but is shocked when Shaharazad reveals that he is playing the worst of all decks- Mono-Blue Affinity Hulk Flash Storm!
Back in New York, Ethersphere returns to his apartment and finds Crimson Avatar waiting outside his door. Oddly not bothered by the cancellation of his marriage, he tells Ether he needs him to investigate Photon, because he knows he is hiding something about who his parents really are. Ether questions him, mostly because he was in some way connected to at least 2 of the last 3 attempts on his life, but decides to help him when he waggles a wad of cash and a Erdrick plushie under his nose.
Back at Photon's office, Dreia asks Photon what has become of her son, and he tells him he doesn't know. Just then, Kraj appears and tells her that Photon had him kidnapped and her daughter-in-law killed, much to Dreia's shock. She tells him she will be informing all her socialite friends to boycott all business with his corporation, and says she will be having her husband, Senator Strongbad, to pass a law to make it illegal to be him.
Kraj gleams wickedly, and tells Photon that is for sending Sapphire after him and killing his new assassin, Myta. Photon asks what he means- he claims he never instructed Sapphire to go after him. Kraj explains what happens, and Photon is full of dread. He immediately rushes out of the office and goes to look for her. Kraj takes the opportunity to get into Photon's secret files, and finds the prototypes for a mysterious project called "Project Rumor Mill". As he walks out with the secret plans, Kevinliu and Shinobi watch from the shadows. Kevinliu tells Shinobi that if Kraj finds a way to execute Project Rumor Mill, the entire future is in peril, and only Shinobi can stop him.
Meanwhile, Otaku Pupil treks through the snow and ice to find Mamelon, apparently abandoning his mission to seek her out.
Back at the hospital, Mr. Stuff disguises himself as a gift from the gift shop and roots through Arguas and Omna's medical files, when he uncovers a secret most dire, and pockets it for his treacherous mistress. Then, he gets kidnapped by a group of children who abuse him and put him through all sorts of torture, but he manages to escape in a way yet unexplained because I am lazy.
The last rounds of Alacar's duel is coming around, 12 hours and 62 internal monologues later. Both contestants are at 1 life, and the only card in Alacar's hand is Vision Skeins. It looks grim for him, but at the last moment, he draws a Pact of Negation and a lone Prodigal Sorcerer. Stuff happens, and Shaharazad is taken down! Alacar demands he tell him the secret of how to return Snoop to life. Shaharazad tells him the secret that there is a powerful and skilled surgeon living in Prague named Psychoburner, who has the ability to bring a dead person back to life using only a potent electric storm and his gifted scalpel skills. Alacar is overjoyed, but Shaharazad warns him that those brought back to life in this way are often changed... and rarely for the better!
As they leave, Mamelon is approached by Otaku Pupil. He asks Mamelon if she remembers him, and she says no. He becomes angry, and tells her it is her fault his life was so terrible, and attacks her. A grand battle ensues, as Mamelon and Otaku Pupil unleash their array of martial skills while Alacar sobs like a woman and cowers underneath a sherpa.
Back in New York, Photon searches the streets for Sapphire, while Ether follows behind in secret. Photon goes to the last place Sapphire was seen, and finds nothing but a discarded IPEX bra, a few snuffed out Virginia Slims, and a playset of Brain Freeze. Photon drops to his knees and begins to lament, fearing Kraj has done something to her. Just then, Sapphire appears and asks him what is wrong. Photon is happy to see her, and asks if her memories have returned. She says she doesn't know what he is talking about, and the two of them leave. Meanwhile, Ether watches the event take place with much curiosity- and it is then he realizes how truly handsome and virile Photon is, and begins to wonder if perhaps he can get closer to him under guise of his current investigation...
Meanwhile, back in Omna's apartment, Arguas and Omna spend a romantic evening in front of the fire, sharing fresh strawberries and drinking blush wine. Omna professes her love, and Arguas reciprocates, and they share a tender kiss- the first one they have shared in which a person was not shot immediately afterward.
At that same moment, Sakura lurks in a shadowy motel room. A soft knocking can be heard at the door, and she opens it to see a doll lying at her feet. It is Mr. Stuff. She picks him up, and asks him what he has found, and he tells her something that causes a look of wicked glee to come to her face...

Omna: Get out of here, you overly made-up whore! We're together and there is nothing you can do about it? Sakura: Oh really? Arguas: Yes, I would never choose to be with you, you vindictive witch! Sakura: *evil grin* Not even to be with your child? *caresses her stomach* Omna: Gasp! Arguas: But... I mean... um, wait, I thought you were transgendered? I mean, seriously, how the hell? Sakura: Shhh, don't talk like that, dearest! Now come, I think I felt it kick! Arguas: *****, you DID NOT! You totally did NOT!
Photon: Why are you following me, you worm? Ether: You know something about Crimson's parentage. Photon: Um, duh, but that's none of your damn business. Ether: It's my business to get into your business for my client. Photon: Um, no, it totally isn't. It's an invasion of my privacy, plus I'm like, rich and powerful. I could have you killed, you nosy idiot. Ether: God, that's hot. Photon: Thanks. Now rip my shirt off, you fool.
Mamelon: Look, if I killed someone close to you, I apologize, but an SRS is damned expensive! Girl's gotta get paid somehow! Otaku Pupil: That isn't what I am talking about! You ruined my life in a lot of other ways! Mamelon: Um, how? Was it by winning Nicest Member? I can see how that could have upset you if you were part of the KCW camp, but "ruined your life"? I mean, I know the internet is serious business, but... Otaku Pupil: Shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up! Mamelon: *uppercuts him to the face and knocks him flat* Flame warning, *****. Alacar: You just got Mamelon'd! Mamelon: Alacar, I thought I told you if you talked you would die. Alacar: *hangs head* Yes'm.
Shinobi: But, how can I save the future? I'm only 13, and my postcount is so low! Kevinliu: I believe in your Shinobi! I believe because you are a nice person! Also, I believe because I believe that children are the future! *hugs* Shinobi: So, what am I saving the future from, anyway? Some sort of militant sect of self-esteem gurus? *pulls away from Kevinliu*
Alacar: You have to revive my wife. Psychoburner: Alright... as long as you agree to my conditions. Alacar: Which are? Psychoburner: I only have a few. Under no circumstances should you ever allow her to get wet or let her eat after midnight. Alacar: Okay, I'll do my best. Psychoburner: Also, you can never have sex with her again. Alacar: What, why?! Psychoburner: Because she's been dead for like, a week, you idiot! It's just plain wrong! Alacar: Ohhhh, gotcha ... So why am I reviving her again? Mamelon: *slaps Alacar* If you have time afterwards, I may need you to bring him back to life, too. *glares at Alacar*

And I'd be more than willing to go ahead with it as long as you can provide me with the funding. Strongbad: Absolutely! Episode 8: Coffeebreasts
The episode begins with Sakura standing in a dark room, wearing a tattered wedding dress with mascara streaking down her cheeks. A lone spotlight descends on her, and she begans to curse Omna for stealing away her little pet, Arguas. She turns around, and snaps her fingers, causing a mysterious doll, Mr. Stuff, to spring to life. She tells command Mr. Stuff to stalk the two lovers and find out anything he can about them, because she must find a way to destroy Omna and steal Arguas back.
Just then, Tanthalas walks into the room, and the lights come back on. He asks her who she is talking to, and she quickly lies by telling him that she needs her lithium or else she starts hearing voices. He tells her that is a clear and obvious lie, so she just changes the subject to gender and steals his keys when he inevitably drops to the floor in a deep sleep, and escapes.
Meanwhile, Alacar is embroiled in a hard hitting, fast paced battle of boring nerdliness with Shaharazad. Cards are flung back and forth with much flair and gusto, as the two men lock in a gentlemen's game of counterspells as a bored-to-tears Mamelon reads through a stack of Korean manga left behind by the last nerd that died trying to seek Shaharazad's almighty power.
Since we last left, 4 hours have passed, and the second turn has nearly begun. Alacar readies his end of turn step, but is shocked when Shaharazad reveals that he is playing the worst of all decks- Mono-Blue Affinity Hulk Flash Storm!
Back in New York, Ethersphere returns to his apartment and finds Crimson Avatar waiting outside his door. Oddly not bothered by the cancellation of his marriage, he tells Ether he needs him to investigate Photon, because he knows he is hiding something about who his parents really are. Ether questions him, mostly because he was in some way connected to at least 2 of the last 3 attempts on his life, but decides to help him when he waggles a wad of cash and a Erdrick plushie under his nose.
Back at Photon's office, Dreia asks Photon what has become of her son, and he tells him he doesn't know. Just then, Kraj appears and tells her that Photon had him kidnapped and her daughter-in-law killed, much to Dreia's shock. She tells him she will be informing all her socialite friends to boycott all business with his corporation, and says she will be having her husband, Senator Strongbad, to pass a law to make it illegal to be him.
Kraj gleams wickedly, and tells Photon that is for sending Sapphire after him and killing his new assassin, Myta. Photon asks what he means- he claims he never instructed Sapphire to go after him. Kraj explains what happens, and Photon is full of dread. He immediately rushes out of the office and goes to look for her. Kraj takes the opportunity to get into Photon's secret files, and finds the prototypes for a mysterious project called "Project Rumor Mill". As he walks out with the secret plans, Kevinliu and Shinobi watch from the shadows. Kevinliu tells Shinobi that if Kraj finds a way to execute Project Rumor Mill, the entire future is in peril, and only Shinobi can stop him.
Meanwhile, Otaku Pupil treks through the snow and ice to find Mamelon, apparently abandoning his mission to seek her out.
Back at the hospital, Mr. Stuff disguises himself as a gift from the gift shop and roots through Arguas and Omna's medical files, when he uncovers a secret most dire, and pockets it for his treacherous mistress. Then, he gets kidnapped by a group of children who abuse him and put him through all sorts of torture, but he manages to escape in a way yet unexplained because I am lazy.
The last rounds of Alacar's duel is coming around, 12 hours and 62 internal monologues later. Both contestants are at 1 life, and the only card in Alacar's hand is Vision Skeins. It looks grim for him, but at the last moment, he draws a Pact of Negation and a lone Prodigal Sorcerer. Stuff happens, and Shaharazad is taken down! Alacar demands he tell him the secret of how to return Snoop to life. Shaharazad tells him the secret that there is a powerful and skilled surgeon living in Prague named Psychoburner, who has the ability to bring a dead person back to life using only a potent electric storm and his gifted scalpel skills. Alacar is overjoyed, but Shaharazad warns him that those brought back to life in this way are often changed... and rarely for the better!
As they leave, Mamelon is approached by Otaku Pupil. He asks Mamelon if she remembers him, and she says no. He becomes angry, and tells her it is her fault his life was so terrible, and attacks her. A grand battle ensues, as Mamelon and Otaku Pupil unleash their array of martial skills while Alacar sobs like a woman and cowers underneath a sherpa.
Back in New York, Photon searches the streets for Sapphire, while Ether follows behind in secret. Photon goes to the last place Sapphire was seen, and finds nothing but a discarded IPEX bra, a few snuffed out Virginia Slims, and a playset of Brain Freeze. Photon drops to his knees and begins to lament, fearing Kraj has done something to her. Just then, Sapphire appears and asks him what is wrong. Photon is happy to see her, and asks if her memories have returned. She says she doesn't know what he is talking about, and the two of them leave. Meanwhile, Ether watches the event take place with much curiosity- and it is then he realizes how truly handsome and virile Photon is, and begins to wonder if perhaps he can get closer to him under guise of his current investigation...
Meanwhile, back in Omna's apartment, Arguas and Omna spend a romantic evening in front of the fire, sharing fresh strawberries and drinking blush wine. Omna professes her love, and Arguas reciprocates, and they share a tender kiss- the first one they have shared in which a person was not shot immediately afterward.
At that same moment, Sakura lurks in a shadowy motel room. A soft knocking can be heard at the door, and she opens it to see a doll lying at her feet. It is Mr. Stuff. She picks him up, and asks him what he has found, and he tells her something that causes a look of wicked glee to come to her face...

Omna: Get out of here, you overly made-up whore! We're together and there is nothing you can do about it? Sakura: Oh really? Arguas: Yes, I would never choose to be with you, you vindictive witch! Sakura: *evil grin* Not even to be with your child? *caresses her stomach* Omna: Gasp! Arguas: But... I mean... um, wait, I thought you were transgendered? I mean, seriously, how the hell? Sakura: Shhh, don't talk like that, dearest! Now come, I think I felt it kick! Arguas: *****, you DID NOT! You totally did NOT!
Photon: Why are you following me, you worm? Ether: You know something about Crimson's parentage. Photon: Um, duh, but that's none of your damn business. Ether: It's my business to get into your business for my client. Photon: Um, no, it totally isn't. It's an invasion of my privacy, plus I'm like, rich and powerful. I could have you killed, you nosy idiot. Ether: God, that's hot. Photon: Thanks. Now rip my shirt off, you fool.
Mamelon: Look, if I killed someone close to you, I apologize, but an SRS is damned expensive! Girl's gotta get paid somehow! Otaku Pupil: That isn't what I am talking about! You ruined my life in a lot of other ways! Mamelon: Um, how? Was it by winning Nicest Member? I can see how that could have upset you if you were part of the KCW camp, but "ruined your life"? I mean, I know the internet is serious business, but... Otaku Pupil: Shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up! Mamelon: *uppercuts him to the face and knocks him flat* Flame warning, *****. Alacar: You just got Mamelon'd! Mamelon: Alacar, I thought I told you if you talked you would die. Alacar: *hangs head* Yes'm.
Shinobi: But, how can I save the future? I'm only 13, and my postcount is so low! Kevinliu: I believe in your Shinobi! I believe because you are a nice person! Also, I believe because I believe that children are the future! *hugs* Shinobi: So, what am I saving the future from, anyway? Some sort of militant sect of self-esteem gurus? *pulls away from Kevinliu*
Alacar: You have to revive my wife. Psychoburner: Alright... as long as you agree to my conditions. Alacar: Which are? Psychoburner: I only have a few. Under no circumstances should you ever allow her to get wet or let her eat after midnight. Alacar: Okay, I'll do my best. Psychoburner: Also, you can never have sex with her again. Alacar: What, why?! Psychoburner: Because she's been dead for like, a week, you idiot! It's just plain wrong! Alacar: Ohhhh, gotcha ... So why am I reviving her again? Mamelon: *slaps Alacar* If you have time afterwards, I may need you to bring him back to life, too. *glares at Alacar*

Yay i get to go to work tommorrow i was thinking of buying some booster packs after work though to see what rares i could get. I am planning on making a GW aggro deck mostly using future sight and other modern day sets and maybe some old tech cards as well.
I can't wait until round 2 with playing mga its going to be fun hopefully.

@ Hunter, I advise going with mono green aggro. Sulfur Elemental is being played by many decks now, and it prevents martyr from activating. Sure, you can eventually kill it, but most decks running sulfur elemental dont need long to deal 20 damage or to armageddon all lands. If it wasn't for the elemental, I would go with snow white, but it's presence is just too much I'm afrade.
Yeah, Sulfur Elemental is soo strong. But even if they killed my Martyr, I have my Enduring renewal or Proclamation. But anyway Im skilled at using aggro, and won many times with it.
@hunter: if i ever use any deck for regionals this year ill probably play with mono green aggro again lol with a more thought out sideboard of course. I really believe that mono green can get far in regionals if its piloted by the right player. Also goodluck to you hunter there may the force be with you.

I really like the scenes of these two, they should appear more often.^_^
Well in my opinion i think the one with karmic guide, mirror breaker is the more optimal build against the current metagame considering it frees up more slots for anti-hate like playing with chain of vapor against a turn 0 leyline of the void or perhaps some stifles for the mirror or something to that nature. Maybe even some cunning wishes to search for flash or general board control cards to pull off the combo easier.

Flash : We have needed a new archetype to shake things up in Legacy, badly. This does just that. A powerful card. Its excistance limits future card desgn somewhat.
Protean Hulk : A fun casual card, actually pretty crappy overall. But ultimately it is a powerful tutoring effect. Surprised nobody runs Sneak Attack in this deck as a backup. Tutoring effects are often the first to get the axe mind you.

We got off really well on our first few meetings and wants to get me some half days sitting in on other positions in the company, and wants me to do ass man stuff (assistant manager for those with dirty minds). That in itself is great.
I had lost one battle with my new identity here at work. My name. Apparantly because my name is still legally Scott, they have not been able to change it anywhere for legal reasons. Merv came up to me today and tells me out of the blue he can have it changed in I care...which is our main case logging program. I didn't ask him, he just offered. He is so awesome.
Hulk Flash.. they might ban Flash, they might just ban Summoner's Pact. That card makes Hulk Flash so much easier to go off.

aww what a story! I've actually worn a dress when i was little too not in public but at home i think it was like age 15 i worn a dress and i did it more then a couple of times as well. The info on other provinces is not immediately available on Wikipedia...but I know for a fact Ontario requires a birth certificate change. Thanks to Mike Harris, we has a very conservative government mostly in Ontario. I am happy to see Quebec changed its rule.

Given the obvious distortion of the format back then, and compared to Affinity days and now, how much of a distortion or corruption does Flash have on current competitive Legacy? When you say 4x main Chalice or Leyline is the only answer, are you implying that there will be only two types of decks, Flash and anti-Flash, and that even Flash has mutated into a single dominant version with Summoner's Pact leaving all previous versions in the dust?
If it is banned, when would they need to announce it? I can imagine it's nigh too late for many people planning on going. They've already bought the combo pieces, playtested it to exclusion of other decks, etc. On the other hand, what might happen to Legacy's legitimacy as a growing format if its entire debut season is essentially all about the elephant in the room?
edit; I don't want Summoners Pact to get the banhammer. That is akin to banning necro and Yawgmoth's Bargain when the real culprit was rit. (I suffered through that GP as well and lost to two identical Trix decks twice in a row.) Okay, so Necro and Bargain are inherently broken and only less so without ritual. But the point is, they ban cards that surround the problem but not the problem itself.

Well im not sure what is the exact percentage of people playing hulk flash but i think its going to be around 25 percent to about 50 percent and maybe anywhere in between so its just a guess that i threw up there.
Well the thing is decks like fish, ugw threshold, 4 color landstill, and more probably automatically have cards that can deal with hulk flash like stifle, meddling mage, force of will, daze, chalice, and more. Even though hulk flash will make a direct impact itself on legacy it doesnt really change decks like ugw thresh, and fish all of that much since their disruption is pretty general and useful in the metagame before hulk became apparent. Although it probably will change decks alot that arent as versatile as the decks i named above but i guess if they cant adjust then that means they probably won't be played anymore.
They probably will announce it on June 1st of this year. Yeah im pretty sure they are not going to do any banning before the GP columbus.

A lone spotlight descends on her, and she begans to curse Omna for stealing away her little pet, Arguas. She turns around, and snaps her fingers, causing a mysterious doll, Mr. Stuff, to spring to life. She tells command Mr. Stuff to stalk the two lovers and find out anything he can about them, because she must find a way to destroy Omna and steal Arguas back.
Just then, Tanthalas walks into the room, and the lights come back on. He asks her who she is talking to, and she quickly lies by telling him that she needs her lithium or else she starts hearing voices. He tells her that is a clear and obvious lie, so she just changes the subject to gender and steals his keys when he inevitably drops to the floor in a deep sleep, and escapes.
Meanwhile, Alacar is embroiled in a hard hitting, fast paced battle of boring nerdliness with Shaharazad. Cards are flung back and forth with much flair and gusto, as the two men lock in a gentlemen's game of counterspells as a bored-to-tears Mamelon reads through a stack of Korean manga left behind by the last nerd that died trying to seek Shaharazad's almighty power.
Since we last left, 4 hours have passed, and the second turn has nearly begun. Alacar readies his end of turn step, but is shocked when Shaharazad reveals that he is playing the worst of all decks- Mono-Blue Affinity Hulk Flash Storm!
Back in New York, Ethersphere returns to his apartment and finds Crimson Avatar waiting outside his door. Oddly not bothered by the cancellation of his marriage, he tells Ether he needs him to investigate Photon, because he knows he is hiding something about who his parents really are. Ether questions him, mostly because he was in some way connected to at least 2 of the last 3 attempts on his life, but decides to help him when he waggles a wad of cash and a Erdrick plushie under his nose.
Back at Photon's office, Dreia asks Photon what has become of her son, and he tells him he doesn't know. Just then, Kraj appears and tells her that Photon had him kidnapped and her daughter-in-law killed, much to Dreia's shock. She tells him she will be informing all her socialite friends to boycott all business with his corporation, and says she will be having her husband, Senator Strongbad, to pass a law to make it illegal to be him.
Kraj gleams wickedly, and tells Photon that is for sending Sapphire after him and killing his new assassin, Myta. Photon asks what he means- he claims he never instructed Sapphire to go after him. Kraj explains what happens, and Photon is full of dread. He immediately rushes out of the office and goes to look for her. Kraj takes the opportunity to get into Photon's secret files, and finds the prototypes for a mysterious project called "Project Rumor Mill". As he walks out with the secret plans, Kevinliu and Shinobi watch from the shadows. Kevinliu tells Shinobi that if Kraj finds a way to execute Project Rumor Mill, the entire future is in peril, and only Shinobi can stop him.
Meanwhile, Otaku Pupil treks through the snow and ice to find Mamelon, apparently abandoning his mission to seek her out.
Back at the hospital, Mr. Stuff disguises himself as a gift from the gift shop and roots through Arguas and Omna's medical files, when he uncovers a secret most dire, and pockets it for his treacherous mistress. Then, he gets kidnapped by a group of children who abuse him and put him through all sorts of torture, but he manages to escape in a way yet unexplained because I am lazy.
The last rounds of Alacar's duel is coming around, 12 hours and 62 internal monologues later. Both contestants are at 1 life, and the only card in Alacar's hand is Vision Skeins. It looks grim for him, but at the last moment, he draws a Pact of Negation and a lone Prodigal Sorcerer. Stuff happens, and Shaharazad is taken down! Alacar demands he tell him the secret of how to return Snoop to life. Shaharazad tells him the secret that there is a powerful and skilled surgeon living in Prague named Psychoburner, who has the ability to bring a dead person back to life using only a potent electric storm and his gifted scalpel skills. Alacar is overjoyed, but Shaharazad warns him that those brought back to life in this way are often changed... and rarely for the better!
As they leave, Mamelon is approached by Otaku Pupil. He asks Mamelon if she remembers him, and she says no. He becomes angry, and tells her it is her fault his life was so terrible, and attacks her. A grand battle ensues, as Mamelon and Otaku Pupil unleash their array of martial skills while Alacar sobs like a woman and cowers underneath a sherpa.
Back in New York, Photon searches the streets for Sapphire, while Ether follows behind in secret. Photon goes to the last place Sapphire was seen, and finds nothing but a discarded IPEX bra, a few snuffed out Virginia Slims, and a playset of Brain Freeze. Photon drops to his knees and begins to lament, fearing Kraj has done something to her. Just then, Sapphire appears and asks him what is wrong. Photon is happy to see her, and asks if her memories have returned. She says she doesn't know what he is talking about, and the two of them leave. Meanwhile, Ether watches the event take place with much curiosity- and it is then he realizes how truly handsome and virile Photon is, and begins to wonder if perhaps he can get closer to him under guise of his current investigation...
Meanwhile, back in Omna's apartment, Arguas and Omna spend a romantic evening in front of the fire, sharing fresh strawberries and drinking blush wine. Omna professes her love, and Arguas reciprocates, and they share a tender kiss- the first one they have shared in which a person was not shot immediately afterward.
At that same moment, Sakura lurks in a shadowy motel room. A soft knocking can be heard at the door, and she opens it to see a doll lying at her feet. It is Mr. Stuff. She picks him up, and asks him what he has found, and he tells her something that causes a look of wicked glee to come to her face...

Omna: Get out of here, you overly made-up whore! We're together and there is nothing you can do about it?
Sakura: Oh really?
Arguas: Yes, I would never choose to be with you, you vindictive witch!
Sakura: *evil grin* Not even to be with your child? *caresses her stomach*
Omna: Gasp!
Arguas: But... I mean... um, wait, I thought you were transgendered? I mean, seriously, how the hell?
Sakura: Shhh, don't talk like that, dearest! Now come, I think I felt it kick!
Arguas: *****, you DID NOT! You totally did NOT!
Photon: Why are you following me, you worm?
Ether: You know something about Crimson's parentage.
Photon: Um, duh, but that's none of your damn business.
Ether: It's my business to get into your business for my client.
Photon: Um, no, it totally isn't. It's an invasion of my privacy, plus I'm like, rich and powerful. I could have you killed, you nosy idiot.
Ether: God, that's hot.
Photon: Thanks. Now rip my shirt off, you fool.
Mamelon: Look, if I killed someone close to you, I apologize, but an SRS is damned expensive! Girl's gotta get paid somehow!
Otaku Pupil: That isn't what I am talking about! You ruined my life in a lot of other ways!
Mamelon: Um, how? Was it by winning Nicest Member? I can see how that could have upset you if you were part of the KCW camp, but "ruined your life"? I mean, I know the internet is serious business, but...
Otaku Pupil: Shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up!
Mamelon: *uppercuts him to the face and knocks him flat* Flame warning, *****.
Alacar: You just got Mamelon'd!
Mamelon: Alacar, I thought I told you if you talked you would die.
Alacar: *hangs head* Yes'm.
Shinobi: But, how can I save the future? I'm only 13, and my postcount is so low!
Kevinliu: I believe in your Shinobi! I believe because you are a nice person! Also, I believe because I believe that children are the future! *hugs*
Shinobi: So, what am I saving the future from, anyway? Some sort of militant sect of self-esteem gurus? *pulls away from Kevinliu*
Alacar: You have to revive my wife.
Psychoburner: Alright... as long as you agree to my conditions.
Alacar: Which are?
Psychoburner: I only have a few. Under no circumstances should you ever allow her to get wet or let her eat after midnight.
Alacar: Okay, I'll do my best.
Psychoburner: Also, you can never have sex with her again.
Alacar: What, why?!
Psychoburner: Because she's been dead for like, a week, you idiot! It's just plain wrong!
Alacar: Ohhhh, gotcha ... So why am I reviving her again?
Mamelon: *slaps Alacar* If you have time afterwards, I may need you to bring him back to life, too. *glares at Alacar*
Strongbad: That sounds absolutely fascinating, Mayor Kraj. And you say this "Rumor Mill" will boost tourism by as much as 3000%?
Kraj: Yes, sir. And I'd be more than willing to go ahead with it as long as you can provide me with the funding.
Strongbad: Absolutely! Now, normally, I would need to bring this up to the House and the Senate and we would have to deliberate and vote on it, but as this is a soap opera I don't see why I can't just fling my power around freely without fear of repercussion! We'll get you anything you need...
Kraj: Good... because as it happens, I also need you to sign this bill into law...
Sapphire: *dancing in front of a mirror* I don't think you're ready for this jelly, I don't think you're ready for this jelly, I don't think you're ready for this 'cause my body's too bootylicious for you, babe...

Yay i get to go to work tommorrow i was thinking of buying some booster packs after work though to see what rares i could get. I am planning on making a GW aggro deck mostly using future sight and other modern day sets and maybe some old tech cards as well.
I can't wait until round 2 with playing mga its going to be fun hopefully.
