I am well rested today, surprisingly. I'm pretty relaxed now. I think it's due to the fact that I wasn't woke up today for once :D. I'm not sure what I'm doing today, but I'll be well rested enough to enjoy it.

Good evening, Psych! Glad that someone's online. Meh... I watched Spidey today! The ending was Blake had a good performance in American Idol. Anyway, I cried so much because Melinda was that good in singing rock songs in her own way. Too bad Harry POTTER is coming out this July... I really want to see it.
@alacar: thats fine alacar you have been busy studying for finals and etc and goodluck with those by the way.
Well just wanted to stop by and im going to get ready for work in like 10 minutes so ill talk to you all when i get back from work im glad i dont have work tommorrow though so i can sleep in until whenever i want. Sorry folks, have to skip a few posts. I apologize, but I can't remember what I wanted to say, and I don't have much time.
I just wrote a 6 page paper on philosophy. It's actually decent, and I'll be putting it in my blog. It's one of the strangest topics I've ever seen. Original, yes, but weird.
In other news, I"m finally heading towards the Elite 4 in pokemon.
Oh yeah, and I'm actually plotzing a little bit. The Diamond version super-legendary, Dialga... I caught it with a timer ball. I caught one of the mini-legendaries with a timer ball as well, after a VERY strung out battle. I feel really, really... Really... Nerdy.
Drinking, huh... I know that Tanthalas is somewhat of a fan when it comes to certain Brazilian drinks. Myself, I don't especially like the taste of beer, and I think everything tastes better without alcohol (wine vs. grape juice, for example). However, who said drinking is about good taste?
I rarely get really wasted, but going out for a drink or two is always good times.
@Seph - Man, I must say I love your banner. I was so bummed by Hanna's death - I really liked her as a character. Gerrard was a pain in the ass, but I was still rooting for them to be together all along.
@Nai: Being nerdy is not bad. It's sexy, to be honest.
Well, it depends... there's cute, smart nerdy; and then there's potato couch, anti-social nerdy. Obviously, I like cute nerdy, like my praise for Hanna shows.
It's less the common sense in that I remembered them all from Red and blue, learned the new ones as I went. I mean, it's not all that easy to remember that Ghost doesn't effect Normal, but is super effective against Ghost and Psychic...
I'm also on my third to last week of school. I already know when my final is for Math. Have to check on Biology. I should have an A in almost every class.
@nai: good to see you posting again all of us missed you.
@myta: Have a great weekend and a great night!
Well i am going to get going off to work in a couple of minutes. Ill see you all when i get back though i work from 10am to 6pm today its a long shift but im sure it will go by relatively fast and im glad i have tommorrow off so i can relax and catch on some things i might also do legacy of the week tommorrow as well or tonight depending on how everything goes. See you all soon! *hugs and blows kisses* *waves to everyone*

Blarg... I'm STILL working on this freaking Anime of the Week. This is far and away (by a mile) the biggest, most labor-intensive AotW I've ever done. Curse me and my perfectionism. It's still got a good couple of hours left to put into it too. Well, at least it should be also by far the best AotW to date, and the most informative/entertaining.
@Pokemon:
Meh, I don't have a DS. If it was on the GC or Wii, I'd get it in a heartbeat.
I am, however, going to be playing Cooking Mama for the Wii later tonight, which promises to be fun. I am excited to see how the game plays with the Wii controller.
I love the Wii. My friend has it and I love playing it over at his house. I was awesome at the boxing on Wii sports. My dad says he'll buy me one, but I've yet to find one...

DAMNIT: I should never have to shred my own character sheet in frustration.
Im having one of those days where I am sure my brain is buried under my pillow...and will be there all day. Typing without hitting three keys at once is taking some serious effort. Think I slept with my face buried for way to long. I have to be careful...it is easy for me to cut off my oxygen when I sleep and deprive my brain. The result is I wake up very disorientated, spinny, headaches, hard to think straight and perform simple tasks.
So I'm sure at least some of you were wonder where I've been the past 8 days. Well my computer broke. The heat sink burnt off so if I even tried to run my compture the motherboard would melt. That was bad news. The good news is that I am working from a brand new computer, thats right Brand New G5 for Evan.
How has everyone here been the past few days.
Oh and tomorrow is my birthday. I'm very exicted for that.
I caught one of the two non-runners. I'm waiting until I'm over level 50 to catch the other. I think catching pokemon has something to do with 'intimidation'; that is, if you have a pokemon that's higher in level than the one you are trying to catch, you have an easier time of it. I think there's also a hidden 'tiredness' stat, because the more you use pokeballs on a pokemon, the better they work. Mind, it can get very expensive. I used around $45,000 worth of pokeballs just to catch one mini-legendary.
I wonder if there's an ultra-legendary you're supposed to use the master ball on?
I'm uploading all the images for this Aotw to Photobucket right now. Now I just have to write up all the reports, find a bajillion different Youtube links, etc, etc... *cry*
to Sephiroth Owa for the 1300th post! Was the 1200th post ever awarded??
As for me, I like alcohol every so often, but not so much to get drunk... I enjoy a nice beer or glass of wine here and there.
Well I've been increeeeedibly busy with my Senior Thesis.. its kicking my butt... Just finished most of the lit review.. there's still some to be found, and I need now to modify the sources for my social/historical context, and begin my analysis of the two films...
Plus I've been a participant in the institute wide public speaking contest... I need to give the same speech I used in the contest, for my public speaking class on Thursday so I need to fiddle with and modify that one as well.. Tonight after class, Ryan and I are going to grab dinner and then go to the library and do our respective work.. him, research, physics and an essay... Me, work on my Senior Thesis, modify my speech, write an essay, and look for jobs... (sigh)
Afternoon everyone... it's already been a completely ****ty day. Good: Migraine's gone. Bad: I find out I have an unexpected 40 dollar bill to pay and my laryngitis decided to play the role of Rocky. Good: I can thankfully pay that bill. Bad: I have to go without two Sacred Foundries and three Damnations for now (AKA it cut into my Magic budget for the month). Last Good: I DID end up getting a pretty good deal on 4 Graven Cairns, 4 Bogarden Hellkite, 4 Sudden Death, 4 TS Disintegrate, and 4 Terramorphic Expanse - total cost including shipping: 60.00 USD.
Now with my two T2 decks almost finished I'm looking to build a third one. The problem is I have no clue what. I wanna build something in green either for extended (assuming I won't have to change much after rotation this fall) or for T2 but exactly what boggles my mind... I'm kinda bored with the typical control and aggro archetypes so it's gonna take some thinking on my part for that. Suggestions are welcome of course.
I'm amazed here right now because I find myself with nothing really to comment on from other people... that might be a plus tho the way I feel.
I was really worried when I caught Palkia with 1 Pokeball
I used Thunder on him once which took him down to roughlly 10HP (Seriously low in the red) and Paralyzed him... Threw 1 Dusk Ball at him and he was caught... I had a HELL of time catching the 2 non-running psychic legendaries though :/
They were evil.
I suppose I'll have to wait until I get my Gameshark to get Dialga now because I have nothing anyone wants
@ RickCorgan: Thanks man
I am getting AR/gameshark this friday so you and anyone else that wants certain pokemon LMK. I will try to catch them at LVL 1 cause I want you to be forced to raise them from babys.
Well you had to know it was coming. If you're around tonight, I'd like to catch you on IM and chat about it.
I'll be home after 4pm CST. As for what's happened, I've already admitted to a terrible judging this round. I blame stress, and having to do so many cards.
Have a good day at work, Cecilia! And thanks.
I'll just be glad when Friday comes. My stress will lessen dramatically. Even more so when I get a job.
I'm sorry I didn't get to post a lot today like I said I would; after finals, people were playing Magic and I had to get in on it with my Enchantress, Astral Slide, and Blue Storm decks.
I'm off to work now, my second to last day. $12.85, here I come.
All right all you happy people out there - this is the big one. An AotW so large, it took me hours and hours to complete. What is it, you ask? Well, since I wanted to do something different this week, and we're right in the middle of the new spring anime season, I thought I'd do something like:
ANIME OF THE WEEK
*fanfare*
MR. STUFF PRESENTS THE NEW SPRING ANIME GUIDE 2007
These are all shows just coming out for the new spring season in Japan. Most have only a few episodes out so far. For anyone looking for something new to watch this season, this guide is for you! You are welcome to look up further information about each series here - http://www.anidb.net . I've also included a Youtube link to the opening of each anime. If you're intersted in one, go ahead and click on that link to watch its opening!
Two words describe this anime: Genshiken Daioh. The girl with the blue hair? A bigger otaku than yours truly. Addicted to WOW, video games, anime, and the whole nine yards. The comedy in this series is great because of the other big name series it makes fun of. By the third episode, they've dropped parodies of Street Fighter, Dead or Alive, various RPGs, Cromartie High, Pani Poni Dash, and FMP: Fumoffu. Brilliant work, and one of the absolute best new series to come out this season. You WILL laugh - and hard.
Tenge Toppa Gurren-Lagann
Opening: Here
Genre: General Awesomeness - Mecha - Fantasy
To quote someone on the KAA forums - "This series is made of Epic and Win". It's got a little bit of everything, from robots, to giant guns, to swords, to, oddly enough, drills. Throw in elements from the best parts of FLCL (the whacked-out robo fights, of course), and a story just as insane-yet-oddly-entertaining, and we have probably the most exciting new action anime to come out this season. Watch out for this one - it's got the potential to be BIG. By Gainax, the same people who brought you FLCL, NGE, and other wonderous shows.
Claymore is a little like Berserk - very gritty, lots of blood, and lots of very big swords. Claymores are half-human, half-demon mercenaries, who have the ability to seek out other demons and slay them. This show follows the Claymore Claire as she journeys from town to town, taking bounties in exchange for ridding the town of demons.
Listen to the opening once, and you'll be addicted. This series has a very unique concept, and plays out with a hint of Battle Royale to it. 14 children happen upon a man who challenges them to play a game, one where you control a giant robot and defend the world from monsters. Seems innocent enough, right? When they wake up later on a beach, they discover that this "game" is for real - and if you die, there's no coming back. In between bouts of fighting the game's summoned monsters, they try to figure out how to stay alive, and how they can escape this deadly contrivance.
They say a picture can be worth a thousand words, and for this series, that middle screenshot says it all. Yes folks - that's a chainsaw. The series focuses on a boy who dies and is subsequently brought back to become the princess's servant, along with his (still living) sister, and it contains a fairly good comedy element. Oh, did I mention she has a chainsaw? Chainsaw = good.
Darker Than Black
Opening: Here
Genre: Supernatural - Mystery - Superpower
Darker than black contains supernatural mystery elements, and a dark, brooding motif, much like Witch Hunter Robin. Some years ago, something known as Hell's Gate appeared in the city, and a GIANT wall was constructed to seal it away. What really lies beyond the wall? Who are these "contractors" who make bargains to gain inhuman powers? The main character (pictured above) appears to be one of them, and he's on a mission to stop those who would do evil.
Two chicks? Check. Guns? Check. Produced by Bee Train? Check. Yep, it's the third installment in Bee Train's trilogy of chicks with guns. You might recognize the first two in the series - Madlax and Noir. This has the same haunting music as Noir, the same great gun-fighting action as its predecessors, and a nifty western theme. Also, there is a cat with a sniper rifle in the ending montage, just for kicks.
Like Basilisk before it, this series looks to be THE fantasy series to watch this season. The main character wields a spear, and wields it well in defense of others. After accidentally saving the life of the emperess's son, she finds herself sworn to a life of protecting him. That turns into a problem when it's revealed that his father keeps sending assassins to kill the boy. What's a girl to do?
I'm hedging a little bit on this one - it actually came out a while before the others. It's still a fairly recent release, though, and had to be included on this list simply because of its quality. Watch this one - you won't regret it. It's a romantic comedy that sets itself in a college for musicians. Chiaki is a musical genious, aristocratic, and rather full of himself. Nodame is rather humbler, always looking forward to her next meal, and playing most pieces by ear rather than reading the sheet music. They end up living next door in the same apartment complex, and being assigned to the same remedial class - much to Chiaki's chagrin.
Fans of Naruto may enjoy this one. Set in the modern day, it centers around two ancient ninja families, one dedicated to fire-techniques, and one dedicated to wind-techniques. When the first son of the fire clan can't pass muster as a jutsu-user, he is disgraced and flees. Now, years later, he has returned as a wind-user, and someone is trying to frame him in order to re-ignite the ancient feud between the two clans.
This is the third-tier fantasy anime this season, in my opinion, right behind Claymore and Seirei no Moribito. The story revolves around the princess of Wellber needing to escape after having killed the prince of a neighboring kingdom, who she was to marry. She meets up with a gun-wielding bandit woman, a faerie, and a sentient tank, and together they flee from the king's minions.
Lovely Complex
Genre: Romance - Comedy
Anidb Link: Here
A really tall girl falls in love with a really short boy. Is it really true that opposites attract?
Romeo X Juliet
Opening: Here
Genre: Fantasy - Romance - Drama
Anidb Link: Here
Remeber how Gankutusuo was Gonzo's reimagining of the Count of Monte Cristo? Well, this is their take on Romeo and Juliet. Contains the same fantastic elements as Gankutsuou (ie. , set in space, etc), and animated in much the same style.
Hayate the Combat Butler
Opening: Here
Genre: Action - Comedy
Anidb Link: Here
A young man named Hayate accidentally saves a wealthy young girl. In exchange, she makes him a butler at her mansion. Supposedly contains references to many other anime, much like Lucky Star.
Seto no Hanayome
Opening: Here
Genre: Romance - Comedy - Drama
Anidb Link: Here
I'll have this series and add a set of pictures in a couple of days. The story is that of a man whose life is saved by a mermaid, and who is subsequently forced to become her husband.
Nagasarete Airantou
Opening: Here
Genre: Comedy
Anidb Link: Here
A young man becomes lost in a storm at sea, and finds himself stranded on an island with a decided lack of the amenities, like electricity, but with an abundance of pretty girls.
*Note:
The anime at the bottoom of the list are finished! They don't have pictures, however, because I have yet to pick up those series, so I don't have an episode from which to work with. I hope you enjoyed my guide so far! For Alacar, you can just call this one "Spring Anime Guide 2007" in the AotW links.
I am well rested today, surprisingly. I'm pretty relaxed now. I think it's due to the fact that I wasn't woke up today for once :D. I'm not sure what I'm doing today, but I'll be well rested enough to enjoy it.

Sisters of Wellber
Opening: Here
This is the third-tier fantasy anime this season, in my opinion, right behind Claymore and Seirei no Moribito. The story revolves around the princess of Wellber needing to escape after having killed the prince of a neighboring kingdom, who she was to marry. She meets up with a gun-wielding bandit woman, a faerie, and a sentient tank, and together they flee from the king's minions.

Remeber how Gankutusuo was Gonzo's reimagining of the Count of Monte Cristo? Well, this is their take on Romeo and Juliet. Contains the same fantastic elements as Gankutsuou (ie. , set in space, etc), and animated in much the same style.
