I'm doing some research for a new d20 game we are going to start soon. That and downloading a bit of this and that. How are you doing miss nightshift?
I fell asleep. No one was talking to me... Psychoburner, who is my new chatmate went to sleep... and then I got bored and went offline and fell asleep in front of the monitor. I woke up to do my banner for the weekly contest.

Hello, everyone. Sorry I've been away for a while. I was just taking a break from MTGS, what with all of the stuff that's beeen going on. I realized that I was spending several hours a day simply on replying to posts and messages, just keeping up, and I got to feeling like I was just worn out, like I was writing stuff out of obligation instead of because of my own desire.
Anyway, I've been playing Pokémon Pearl lately. I am remembering how much fun I used to have with Pokémon. This game seems to have less Pokémon to catch, but oh, well. I really wanted a Ralts, even though you can't normally catch one in Diamond or Pearl.
That, and I've been working on material for my upcoming campaign. Yes, good fellows, I am also planning a role playing campaign presently. However, mine is not an online affair of great majesty, just a simple at-home event. I've been doing a lot of converting, but the stories ideas seem fairly intuitive. I'm doing something a bit new, I think, so hopefully it will go over well.

Well when I woke up this morning (and all of last night for that matter) my arm was hurting like crazy, and it wouldn't stop until I took a shower. I'm really hoping that the doctor can do something about it, because all the pain and stiffness is really starting to wear me down.
Anyway, on that happy note, I wish everyone a great day at school or work or video games or whatever. I'll talk to y'all later :).

Sorry to hear about your shoulder/arm. My guess is a torn ligament but I can't know for sure because I'm not there to see it. Hope you hear some good news from the doctor soon, and can get it stabilized and go run your track.

Wow, I was suddenly so swamped on IMVU last night...like every 10 minutes a new chat request popped up. All I did was edit my intrests...makes a big difference it seems. Met some really awesome people.

@Tanthalas: Lord, a sorceress? She'd fit right in. I want to give you guys another level after this upcoming combat, but the thread's going pretty slowly and it's making me antsy. Boo.
I just had a really nice older lady on the phone. We swapped recipes and I laughed as she complained about how narrow minded her church was. One of those customers you would be fine talking to all day. She made me jealous though, in Florida they have salsa with peaches in it. Not I have to go find a recipe.
My D&D adventures are over for a while. We generally game at our friend Elliot's place. Him and his girlfriend both play and are the only smokers in our group. They generally smoke outside though, so it is no biggy. His GF invited a friend of hers to join, and she is kind of an ignorant witch. I'd go into details but Id just get mad. When the two of them get together they disrupt the game badly. Worse, she smokes like a chimney, and now both her and Elliot's gf sit and smoke while playing, it gets nasty in there.
I told everyone I couldn't play there anymore. No attempt to find a solution. Nobody talks to them about smoking outside. No attempt to find a new place to play. They just don't come get me anymore, in fact...aside from Doug and Ronnie, nobody talks to me anymore.
Sakura, yeah, sometimes you meet someone that's particularly nice and friendly. It's always a pleasant experience to find out that the world isn't completely populated with the ignorant and idiotic.

Wow, my 5-hour workday just exploded into a 11 hour monstrosity and tomorrow I'm gonna catch the only train in Baltimore to go to washington for a weeklong conference. Whee!
Well LittleDragon, if you're new to D&D I highly suggest taking part in the next tutorial that'll be run. I'm not sure when it will be, but it's a great way to get into the game. Also, I must say that Alacar and myself are good teachers =)
Unfortunately, Broken Mandala is all but full. I'm sorry =(
I actually am looking forward to Seiken Densetsu 4 even though I've read a lot of negative things about it. Even if it were the worst game ever made I'd want to play it because I adore the Seiken Densetsu series. I'm still holding out for SOME kind of US release for Seiken Densetsu 3, actually.

I can relate Saph. I had a large group of friends and I watched as they slowly turned into bar-flies. I do occasionally drink, but my limit is a glass of wine with a good dinner, or a shot of balies irish creme in my coffee.

I agree with you whole-heartedly. A girl who smokes is like automatically unattractive to me. Whatever good look or qualities they had just went out the window. I personally don't smoke either. Plenty of people in my family do it already. Heck, my dad smoked for god knows how many years and he recently quit. It should be able 4 years in September.
I don't drink either. Most forms of alcohol taste really bad to me.
I like a beer or a shot of whiskey here and there, but it's more because I enjoy the way they taste than from a desire to be drunk. I personally HATE the feeling of being inebriated or high, and having grown up in a family where such practices were really commonplace, I know what we look like when we're smashed. It ain't pretty, no matter how good you think you feel.
A lot of people I was friends with in high school and beyond were drug heads and such. It's the only recreational thing to do in this town, really, so I don't blame them. It's just that I was always the one looked down on for being "straight-laced." Ha. I'm hardly such. It's just that my eccentricities don't manifest themselves in a public forum ^__~;;
Well, Broken Mandala seems to be shaping up very well! I have an awesome group this time, most of whom have never played in the Inn before, so that's really exciting. Also, an unorthodox party makeup is going to force me to stay creative, and I really like that.

I dont mind sitting with friends who drink when I am not drinking. thats no big deal. I generally do not date smokers as a rule, but make exceptions in certain situations. A) they are absolutely amazing B) they are clean and conciderate about it. Elisha smokes, but only smokes around me if we have spent a lot of the day together, and then never near me.
I dont' care if people drink around me. I just don't like it when people make a habit of trying to get me to drink when I don't want to.
Generally I avoid it when people get drunk in large numbers. Situations like that lead to people getting into fights, arguments, etc, and I don't feel like being puled into a situation like that.

@Saph: I would hate to be in your situation, but you have to hold on to the thought that you can get through to them. I've found that it can happen.
If it's worth the effort, then keep at it. If not, move on. But either way, it really sucks, and you have my sympathies, for all it's worth!

Anyway I got a sudden rush of pain in my skull from the after effects of the surgery and was forced to take the percocets but.... They feel like they aren't even effecting me anymore*like as if I was taking advil* THAT scares me...lol
I decided I wanna start to plan out a few vacations in the year and thus I have 3 times in the year I can take a vacation. One has been decided to see my long lost friend from high school Jenn but need ideas for 2 others. I not looking for something grand. Just fun. Hell I enjoy just going somewhere to hang out. Anyone have ideas?

Smoking/drinking is one of the main reasons my mother split with my father when I was very young, so I sort of have a personal grudge against them, along with what everyone else said. I had asthma when I was young, and that certainly couldn't have helped me, if you catch my drift. I don't harbor a grudge against people who smoke - but I do try to stay away from the activity if at all possible.

Would recommend somewhere Sapph but not in the US - Barcelona is one of the coolest cities on earth - teeside airport does £20 flight so we go at least once a month

One of my goals in the next 2 years is to go to ireland as I feel connected there as nature looks lovely there. But each year gets farther away due to funds. Thanks for the idea:)
It seams the only alcohol I can drink is the drink Long island Iced tea. Its nice and pleasent to me;)

Evenin' everyone... I just can't seem to get better. My throat started feeling a LOT better today BUT I ended up having a migraine today...
@Smoking and drinking: I don't smoke but I used to. Not for very long and not much when I did. It was a mixed peer pressure and stress thing tho more of the former than the latter I think cause if the people I knew then kept a punching bag I would've been just as likely to use that to get rid of the stress.
Drinking I do however. Not very often but I'm up for a good beer or a shot or two. This is supposing they aren't mix drinks - ESPECIALLY if they involve non-alcoholic products. The bars around here have this annoying habit of incrementally increasing the amount of alcohol the more you order to make you drunk quicker - which in turn makes them richer. That's why I tend to stick with beers, Smirnoff Ice and the like, or the occasional shot of Jack Daniels or Jim Beam or something like that. It's not necessary to have fun by any means but - at least beer/malt liquor-wise - its all about relaxing and having something that tastes good that won't get me downright drunk. Hence why I drink like maybe two or three times a month.

One of my goals in the next 2 years is to go to ireland as I feel connected there as nature looks lovely there. But each year gets farther away due to funds. Thanks for the idea:)
It seams the only alcohol I can drink is the drink Long island Iced tea. Its nice and pleasent to me;)
on a side note I am tired of the sport crap on the radio cause one of my fav radio shows keep getting shorted 2 hours of there show due to sports. I careless about bascketball. Not so bad when its HOCKEY!!!!!!...lol

@Smoking and drinking: I don't smoke but I used to. Not for very long and not much when I did. It was a mixed peer pressure and stress thing tho more of the former than the latter I think cause if the people I knew then kept a punching bag I would've been just as likely to use that to get rid of the stress.
Drinking I do however. Not very often but I'm up for a good beer or a shot or two. This is supposing they aren't mix drinks - ESPECIALLY if they involve non-alcoholic products. The bars around here have this annoying habit of incrementally increasing the amount of alcohol the more you order to make you drunk quicker - which in turn makes them richer. That's why I tend to stick with beers, Smirnoff Ice and the like, or the occasional shot of Jack Daniels or Jim Beam or something like that. It's not necessary to have fun by any means but - at least beer/malt liquor-wise - its all about relaxing and having something that tastes good that won't get me downright drunk. Hence why I drink like maybe two or three times a month.
