Hey guys! Sorry I've been gone for the past few days. Fist my cousin had college work to do, so he took my computer for the entirety of the weekend plus Monday. Then all of yesterday I had a lot of work to do with my school's radio station. (I'm second-in command, so it's pretty cool. :D) So I'm finally back, just in time for more random, pleasent discussion.
@ Angry rants: Just sacrifice all of your Ron Spencer cards to I, the Great Destroyer, and I can take your anger away, leaving you all happy and peppy.
But seriously, anger is a part of ourselves. Everybody has it, it's just how you co-op with your anger that matters. Dang, I used to be one messed up little kid, I can tell you that for certain.
This issue is more what I'm getting angry at. It's the little things that are setting me off at this point, and that's where the control needs to be factored in, especially if she's doing the work that she is to not get needlessly angry herself when a discussion needs to happen.
I understand that anger is natural, but things that I feel are justifiable lately are not actually justifiable at times, at least that's what I'm guessing. I guess I just want to see if I am truly the cause here.

@Arguas: Regarding the penance thing (and partially your lenten sacrifice), from the way you wrote your posts it sounds to me that you tend to beat yourself up over your failures/atrocities. I just want to say that you shouldn't do that really... I've always been of the mind that those are the sorta things you should really reflect on and remember - not dwell on. And if I read the post wrong, I apologize ahead of time.
Anyway, and I don't really know how to say this since it's been quite a few years since I've even participated in lent, but good luck with your lenten season.
As always, you know your situation better than I possibly can, but I wonder if you're focusing on the right issue. To me, it sounds less like you're having trouble controlling your anger and more like there's an underlying problem that is raising your stress levels in general. If there's something bothering you that you haven't dealt with, it's very likely that's the reason why little things set you off.
That's just my observation. I may of course be wrong, but it may be worth thinking about.
Also, CA has a point. Your use of the word "atrocities" is quite telling. It's an extremely strong word and I can't imagine you doing anything I would describe as an atrocity. If you're unahppy with your behavior, it's good to indentify that and work on it. But you also need to accept that you'll make mistakes and you can't expect yourself to change overnight. Cut yourself some slack, buddy.
Even though I don't observe lent, I'm basically participating in it this year. I've been dieting lately (with some success already, from what Josh tells me) and a BIG part of that diet is cutting down on - almost cutting OUT - processed sugars. I'll have some in a cup of tea or something during the course of the day, but not half as much as I used to.
Funny thing is that this diet is so much easier than I thought it'd be. I'm relegated to 1600 calories a day, and I barely even make that most says.
While we are on the topic....I am on something of a reverse diet. My metabolism is too fast so I have to take in 3700 calories a day. At least I get to eat junk food and not worry.
You guys are right that it may be underlying issues, and that's kind of why I'm doing this. Maybe I'm beating myself up about these things, but in general it seems to me that if I can knock out the anger, I may be able to deal with the issues a bit more up front, and actually get things resolved instead of making it worse. I also see it as something that is making me a darker person, and is something I need to put aside to be myself again, and strengthen my connection with the world and what I believe is the higher power. As crazy as that sounds
BTW, I consider physically lashing out to be an atrocity on my part, regardless of the reason I do it. Which I did. And feel awful for. (sorry Omna)

Among the things I've denied myself for this diet are my absolute favorite, most revered and glorious, pillar of the nine heavens, most splendid food in all creation...DORITOS.
If I could go on an all Doritos diet I'd probably explode from happiness, yo.
Like I said, Ryan, you're on the right track for trying to take a step back and analyze the situation. Just remember to be patient with yourself, y'know? It'll all work out in the end.
I dont eat Doritios. When I was 9 they made me throw up, and someone in my mental-ness I won't let myself eat a food that has made me throw up. So no more Doritos for me.
I know how that is, Evan. A year or so ago I caught a flu bug and was eating vienna sausages just as the symptoms went full swing, so now whenever I see a vienna sausage or even a hot dog I gag >_<;;

Thats awful! I love hot dogs! I also do that with foods I choke on. I don't eat clams casino now for that very reason.
Lol, dieting. I seem to be in the camp of Pirate actually, as I seem to be able to eat what I want and never really worry. Of course, when I hate chocolate and love salads, I suppose that kind of helps :-p
Although I admit that I am a huge meat fan. I definitely eat like one source of meat per meal, which may actually be a little bit above the recommended dosage. I also haven't had a chance recently to exercise it off. How I miss running and DDR sometimes... Oh well, that's college life.
With that, college life is calling. I need to take care of some assignments and stuff. It was awesome to be able to drop by here again guys. Thanks.

My family has always had slow metabolisms, so I was always at risk for the fatness myself. I was kind of chunky in high school, but not to the point that I am now. What happened there was that shortly before meeting Josh I caught...well, something. We still don't know what it was because it was similar to mononucleosis but not similar enough. Regardless, it dropped thirty-five pounds off of me in a month. I was, needless to say, ecstatic, even though my friends and family were worried I might break in half at some point - I was just under 130 pounds, which is SERIOUSLY not healthy for someone my size and build.
Just about that point, a friend of mine won some lawsuit over an injury she sustained, and she would come bearing gifts of fast food every. single. day. So even though I was exercising every day and such, I was still gaining weight.
So yeah. Friends suck sometimes =P
EDIT: On another note, anyone up for precon league fun on MWS? If so, lemme know.

Im kind of a small lanky build. 5'9 116 lbs. I'm tiny!
Actually I decided to stay considering I have finally able to find a job at a Casino which im going to apply for this coming friday. I think this nightmare is finally going to be over for me. I was also thinking of becoming a nurse instead of an x-ray tech even its probably alot more of a stressful job but I am sure i will be able to succeed in the field. I don't really care what people think that I can't work in a healthcare facility I am sure I can since ive been with a year of clinicals already of x-ray and passed(well actually 2 semester i passed in clincals but still that still says alot).
@arguas: thanks arguas! Thats very kind of you to say I have always enjoyed speaking to you on aol messenger as well your a pretty cool person to talk to.
@mamelon: yes i do feel ignored sometimes but thats because Ive been stressed out finding a job and I get to be really weird sometimes when i am stressed out or deppressed. At least i don't get hostile when im stressed out though and I wish you the best too mamelon and see you soon! *hugs*
@ethersphere: sure ill play against you sometime soon. Yeah my family has a past history of cornary heart disease so I like to watch what i eat alot and also drink alot of water in the process. wow that sounds serious... well im glad your doing well now ethersphere though.
@tanthalus: I am probably not going to be leaving for a month but ill be sure to drop by at least once a day though just to check up on people and possibly post more too when time permits like i said earlier. Thanks for your concern and take care tanthalus!
@banhammer: Well its good to see you again! Have a good one!
@sephiroth: Still though I was still on my toes when I was playing against you in the precon league sephiroth don't kid yourself your just as much of a threat as everybody else I played against so far in the precon league. See you around seph and take care!
@precon league players so far: We have alot of really good players in the coffeehouse and I'd have to say that this precon league is much more challenging while alot more fun then any big Legacy tournament event ive been too despite of me playing an 87 player tournament a couple of months ago and placing 10th in it. I even thought playing against mamelon in standard when she used her Soggy pickles deck is much harder then taking goblins, threshold, and solidarity to school on a regular basis in legacy.
Well I am going to get going now I Have some stuff I want to do. See you all soon and ill be on aol if anyone wants to chat. See you all later! *hugs and blows kisses*
Morning everyone! I tried setting up my own personal blog on the site last night (Hey, that rhymed), and I somehow managed to delete it.
I believe I contacted an admin to get me a new one. So, until I do get it back, I have to think of a name. I've got a few idea bouncing around in the ol' noggin o' mine.
@Metabolism: Ugh. My friend and I are like complete opposites when it comes to this. He has the metabolism of a mouse and is thin as a twig (exaggeration, but you get my point), while mine is like a hippo's or something. But hey, I live large and in charge, and that's the way I like it.
EDIT: My blog was just undeleted, so I'll probably have it set-up sometime today
And once again I miss a wonderful conversation with Arguas. I'm ALWAYS missing the fun stuff..
Lent: I had considered giving up paper Magic, but decided not to. I shall now give up Playstation 2 for 40 days. Just as a nod to lent. I hardly play it anyways. Though I STILL haven't played FFXII.
Food: I am borderline high cholesterol, or I was when I last got checked on. My dad is high cholesterol so all of our diets are getting cut down. Cheerios FTW. As for metabolism, mine is decent, but I still have a bit of a gut I'd like to lose/sculpt.
Scored a 19 on my FCC.. I dunno if it's gonna win--Belgareth doesn't like elves bigger than 2/2..
While we are on the topic....I am on something of a reverse diet. My metabolism is too fast so I have to take in 3700 calories a day. At least I get to eat junk food and not worry.
I don't think junk food tastes good at all (no, not saying this because of the name :p), so even though I'm pretty confident I won't become of overweight in 10-15 years, I don't eat it... Except when I'm really in need of fast food.
Body weight/height eh? I need something to convert meters into feet and kilograms into pounds... Found it.
Height: 181 centimeters, or 5'94''
Weight: 70 kilograms, or 154 pounds

I lost in the FCC second round... Which I had expected. My card was made in a hurry, 10-15 minutes perhaps, because I had completely forgotten about the FCC, and it was just a few minutes until I was going to leave for my winter holiday.
And it looks like I might win my round of the FCC anyways--hatch (my opponent) made a split card, whose CMC is not 10, but "5 and 5". It's really up to Moss_Elemental at this point :hopeful:
My metabolism is screwy. I generally weigh 175ish, 5'10".
While I can lose weight (down to 165lbs once), I cannot break 175lbs no matter what I do. While I can comfortably survive on little food and maintain 170lbs, I actually have a massive appetite and no matter what I eat cannot break 175lbs.
Diets: LOL! Sorry I'm the oddity in my family as I totally laugh at them. I'm 6' 4" about 150 lbs. Not that healthy for my size but then again I have a REALLY hard time gaining weight. I ate fast food for a couple days straight once and gained maybe a pound, two tops. I kinda hate that but thats the way I am and always have been - REALLY fast metabolism.

Sorry AL. It's gonna be a close one... As for Bel, that's just the way he is (which isn't totally bad).
I just got back from physical therapy and apparently I need a lot more work =/ I hate it when baseball season comes around. Every season its the same thing.
It's alright. I didn't know about it either. I can see why they came up with it. I'm sure they were tired of people whoring themselves out to everyone for a vote.
In other news, my blog was undeleted and I updated and put and entry in it. So, check it out if you want and post the link to yours if you want to me subscribe to it.
