Mamelon: I'm not sure what I should think of looking unassuming, but endearing is nice :D.
So, today I found out the girl I wanted to ask out does have a boyfriend, before I asked her out myself. I'm not sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing, but now I think I'm going to just show interest in hanging out with her instead.
Well, at least you have the anxiety off of your plate now. Are you feeling ok about this? Relieved? Disappointed? Your post didn't reveal much.
Spot the update in my sig? Yep - my graphics shop is back in business after two months. I noticed myself making sigs regardless of whether or not I needed them, so I figure why not make them for other people. If you need an anime avatar or sig, just post it there.
Mushishi is taking forever to download. Meh. I have the day off tomorrow, so I wanted to get it and take it home to watch, but it looks like I'll have to settle for something else instead. I'm thinking probably Mai-Hime.
Edit: If somebody got me a copy of Galaxy Angel X for V-day, I'd be on them like bread on butter.
Yeah i know where you are coming from ether. For vday I bought Jenn some DVD's and she was more than happy. I could have bought he a video game as well and she would be happy. We also went to dinner togather though. To us it is mainly just a day.
Shin: I used to have two mice, now I have one. One died from... Something. Not sure what. Lost a patch of hair, eyes were stuck shut with grit of some sort, hunched back... I'm not sure what it was, but the little guy didn't die happily. Weird, though, that the mouse in the same thing (post cleaning) is absolutely fine. Weird. My other one doesn't really allow me to touch him much. He's cute, though. Black as midnight with a soft touch of white.
Mr. Stuff: I literally have so many conflicting emotions nothings dominately coming to the surface. On one side I'm disappointed that she's taken, and on the other I'm relieved I didn't ask her out when she was. But then another part of me would rather I asked her out anyways. And still another just wants what seems smartest to me, to become good friends with her. Then a timid part of myself I'm trying to utterly destroy wants to just forget it all

I'll bet you wish you had a non-unglued/unhinged card that shared your first name.
Koal : My recommendations are to talk to her and become friends. This way you can get to know each other without any pressure, and if she breaks up with her bf she already knows and trusts you.
Aww.. sorry, KK.. but it's okay. I think friendship is definitely a good start. Also, you might just be bored. I recommend getting a hobby besides Magic. Like jogging daily or another form of exercise.
Working on my precon deck.. so many choices with these packs..
Coolest thing, guys. I am drinking purple tea. How cool is that?
Does anyone here like sandwiches with peanut butter, jam, and honey?

@mamelon: its a two piece controller that you can hook up to the nintendo wii system. One piece is like this small joy stick type of controller thats like almost the size of a computer mouse while the other one looks like a television remote and its hooked together through a cord. Its pretty interesting to say the least. Oh sorry I just didn't think you guys cared but im glad you guys do sometimes i just feel that way sorry if i offended anyone. Well im glad you got through the day and best wishes to you always mamelon! *hugs mamelon tightly and blows kisses to mamelon*
That's interesting. I don't have a Wii, so it makes sense that I've never heard of it. What are some good games for the Wii so far?

Valentine's Day: Regardless of my current romantic situation, I always enjoy Valentine's Day, if only because my mom gives us all chocolate. I can't accept chocolate from anyone else, really, because of nut allergies. Blegh. And today, I have to console friends about the upcoming holiday. Fun, no?
I guess that is a good way to look at it. Chocolate is generally welcome.
Soreyuke!: I'm going to have to watch that. It looks like my kind of show. Of course, the Anthro has a lot to do with it.
As in anthropomorphs?
Edit: Robotic Flirt, eh? I'm not sure how well that fits me... Hmm...
Robots can be devilish flirts, lemme tell ya.

All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the light that you see. All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the peace that you feel. All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to fill your heart on my own.
But the rainbow is an image of hope for many reasons, as it is a brilliant sight coming out of oftimes dismal weather.
@mamelon: i wouldn't mind massaging your feet even if you don't want to massage mine. Well i heard truama center was pretty cool for nintendo wii. There is also a bunch of interactive sports games that are like really fun. Also i heard monkey ball is a really fun game since all of the nintendo wii games are much more interactive system then any other system. Like for example for me to swing a sword in zelda i have to make a side motion with the nunchuk controller. *hugs mamelon back*
See you all soon! *hugs and blows kisses to everyone*
Monkey Ball: I actually didn't like the game. Very boring, and the controls were sluggish to me.
The value of Monkey Ball on the Wii is not the game itself, but rather the 50 (!!) minigames that come with it. Everything from miniature golf to darts to whack-a-mole to ring toss is there for your enjoyment. You have to be a fan of Monkey Ball to really enjoy the main game.

If you are looking for an actual clan, there are numerous ones here that are recruiting. Most clans ask that you have been on MTGSalvations long enough to have 50 or so posts, just to make sure you are actually staying.

Hey, Suki. I saw your introduction over in the Photoshoppers thread. Nice to meet you.
I've been downloading AMVs lately, since I'm on broadband. Good times. I also have two requests in my graphics shop already. Wow. I'll be busy tonight/tomorrow for sure.
I enjoyed playing the Wii sooo much when I played it at my friends house. All we played was Wii Sports and I still loved it. I want a Wii really bad, but I can't afford one plus my parents don't want me to buy anything until I get a job. (although I did convince them to let me buy Order of the Stick, Volume 0: Origins of PC's :D)
Welcome Suki and also a belated welcome to kungfu. I think I'm horrible at responding to other people ^_^;.

Well that's rather selfish. In fact, that kinda ticks me off.
Yeah, he was one of those people who was my friend for a long, long time, but was a Bad Friend. He used to covet attention I paid to other friends, cause fights, hog video games, and make plans of his own without caring about inconvenience to me or others.
Believe it or not, it took me years to see how selfish he was. At one point, I had dropped everything going on in my life, translocated myself a state away to help him with his personal problems, worked for two months and gave him all my money (thinking it was being spent on "our plans"), was ignored while he hang out with other friends, and finally went home on a bus (that he didn't even pay for), penniless and with much of my stuff gone (he kept it). We reestablished contact eventually, but I really didn't want to be friends again. He was the kind of person who would call me on the phone at any hour and expect me to be able to talk (about him, usually), but whenever I wanted to talk to him, he couldn't be reached.
I think I'm kind of a pushover, in retrospect.

Wii: Good games include, currently, Rayman, Trauma Center, and (if you like it) Red Steel.
I've heard really good things about Trauma Center.
Mr. Stuff: By the way, I really like your new avatar. That FLCL picture you used was my desktop wallpaper for a long time.
Anyway, when everyone was trading recipes, I felt bad because I didn't contribute. Since I just made dinner and what I used is fresh in my mind, I shall share:
Sweet and Spicy Creamy Rice
I started with my basic recipe for caramelized rice, which is as follows:
1-2 tbsp butter
1-2 tbsp sugar
1 pinch salt
1 cup rice
1-2 cups water
I add the butter to a large metal cooking pot. Then (very important) you let the butter cook until it turns brown. Add the sugar and salt, then add the rice and coat with butter. Then add enough water to cover the rice.
To this, I added:
1 tsp dill seeds
1 tsp sweet paprika
1 tsp cinammon powder
1 tsp dried oregano
several grinds of fresh black pepper
Add these together with the butter. When the rice and water is combined and comes to a boil, add:
1/4 cup good red wine
Bring to a boil, then simmer on low flame/low heat for 10-12 minutes. When the water is absorbed properly, add:
1/2 cup milk
1 tbsp horseradish sauce or 1 tsp ground horseradish
1/4 cup frozen or fresh peas
Let the milk simmer and condense, then add:
1/4 cup your choice of rice vinegar, balsamic vinegar, red wine or sherry vinegar, italian dressing, dijon dressing, or other acid-based dressing
Additional vegetables, like onions, would also be welcome, as would ground ginger and curry powder.
Honey and Nut Glazed Chicken
I started with
4 small chicken tenderloins
But one or two chicken breasts, or other type of chicken meat, would also be fine. Some other type of meat would probably also be good with this dish.
I made a brine out of 1 part salt, 1 part vinegar, and 2 parts water, and let the chicken soak in it for a half hour (or more). Afterwards, dice or chop chicken and add to a hot pan with butter or your choice of oil. After the chicken has some color on the outer side, add:
2-3 tbsps of your choice of good wine or vinegar
1-2 pinches of salt
several grinds black pepper
2-3 tbsps honey
1/3 cup shelled peanuts (or other similar nut/legume of your choice)
Bring the liquid to a boil, then reduce heat and let the chicken cook. Before it's done, you may add, at your option, any combination of:
1 tbsp barbecue sauce
several dashes of worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp mustard
1 tbsp peanut butter
You want the liquid to reduce quite a bit, but it's best to allow some of it to remain to form a sauce.
Breadcrumb Stuffed Mushrooms
I started with seven smallish, toad-stool lookin' mushrooms, but other kinds of mushrooms would be very good choices. Remove the mushrooms stems.
Then I prepared breadcrumbs by toasting wheat bread and curmbling it (should make about a cup) but any other type of bread, premade breadcrumbs, or panko would work, too.
I combined breadcrumbs with 2 tbsps melted butter, 1/2 tsp rosemary, a dash of salt, and a few grinds of black pepper. Combine with hands until flavors permeate.
Fill the cavity in each mushroom with breadcrumb mixture until they are overfull. Sprinkle remaining crumbs over the mushrooms.
Mine only took about 10 minutes on 350 to roast and make the crumbs golden, but you may need to adjust cooking time for larger mushrooms and if you make more at a time.
Keep in mind, I kind of guessed at some of the measurements.
All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the light that you see. All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the peace that you feel. All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to fill your heart on my own.
