OKAAAAAAAAAAAY so I SHOULD explain why I'm feeling so stressed to explain my large typin', but I can't. It would probably take too long. Just a bunch of family issues. Not close family, but family that lives in Florida etc. On top of that, I'm trying to take three AP courses next year(senior year). My mom advises against it, because I'm going from NONE to THREE, which is an astronomical leap. Besides the fact that I'll be gone for six weeks out of the summer and I'll have to have summer reading. It's a pain, and can bring a lot of anxiety with it.
On top of all that, I'm trying to juggle this stress along with going to the prerelease saturday. I'm sure I can do all of it together, and I want to, but it will leave no time outside of that, and the people I'm kinda putting on the backburner are getting fed up with it. I even had to miss an SAT prep course tonight because of schedule conflicts. It just never ends...[/junior year rant]
In short, I'll probably not be posting as much in forums in general as I'd like to. I wish I could keep posting here daily like I used to, but it just can't happen. For whatever it's worth, I can't put up with having to read more and more pages of posts every day along with homework etc. I see some people posting that I haven't seen before, so as is tradition, I say to you all if I haven't already, WELCOME TO DA HOUSE!!! Enjoy your stay, and if possible, try not to be louder than me. What, ya wanna ruin my reputation around here?
Sorry if it seems like I'm being insensitive in that I don't respond to anyone's problems when they post about them, but believe me; if they're life problems, that's the last thing you want ME to give you advice on.
Guys I would like to be on youre side of nightshifts But Im havin a date with my fiance. But dont worry Ill be around for the claniversary!! Anyway, I cant see my sigbanner here in my pc. How bout you guys? can you see my sigbanner?? It kinda vanished here..
Today was kind of rough.
I think I looked pretty mopey at work, because I was back in the kitchen doing some preparations, and this lady I work with came up to me and started asking what was up. I smiled and told her I was fine, to which she responded, "Yeah - it'll pass, right?"
I nodded, but didn't have the heart to tell her that I don't actually think it will pass.

hey everybody...thanks. I don't like talking about stuff like that because of two main reasons, the first is a simple one, talking about how I feel makes me feel vulnerable. The second reason is that I'm usually afraid that what I feel will either get trampled on or ignored. That's from a family that once berated me for telling my teachers I was depressed...
Awww. I understand. You can share as much or as little as you feel okay with. When going into such feelings, it's a good idea, I think, to do so with someone you feel comfortable with and that you trust, like a friend or lover, to help curb that feeling of vulnerability.
Journaling can also circumvent that problemn, since you don't necessarily have a visible, vocal audience.

Apparantly when I asked her for help she decided the most helpful thing she felt she could do is toss as much at me as she could to make me falter and question myself. All of it was planned to throw me off and to make me quit. If I was week or not actually Transgenderred I would likely realize it and give up, or if I was too week to go through with it. She hit me really hard.
Yeesh. From what I've heard of her so far, I don't know if this should seem strange or not. That's very callous, even if she had good intentions. Intent alone does not characterize action. She may have thought this was a good idea, but you'd think she'd realize that during this time having supportive friends is crucial. "Testing" you wasn't bound to be productive anyway - how she interprets the "results" would probably be skewed. If you had backed out of your transition, it could have meant what she thought, that you didn't "have what it takes to be a transsexual." However, it could also have just meant that you slipped back into denial and fear, and she wouldn't have considered that. Considering how much denial and fear infuse a trans person's life, it shouldn't seem like an odd outcome.
And in any case, it's really not her right to subject you to her personal litmus. If the process were not right for you, that would have come out during the change (possibly after, but if you take it slowly enough, that usually shouldn't happen). I don't see how her extraneously stringent standards factor into it.
I'm sure you feel good to find that she hasn't really abandoned you, but I can understand if you have a problem trusting her again. Regardless of why she did it, she still lied in order to manipulate you. That's a hard thing to get over.

I mean Gods. How do you think Mamelon would react if every time she came in the room I started spewing Bible verses at her, or if I took her shopping for men's clothing or something? If I snubbed her and treated her like some kind of looney-bin reject she wouldn't want me around. Rather than do anything I can to hurt her feelings or "toughen her up," I'm going to be there for her in the most positive ways I can possibly think of. Because that's what friends do.
Thanks, Ether. You know that means a lot.
You make a good point. Even if being trans were some delusion or perseveration, support and compasion are still the appropriate responses. Not harsh challenges, condemnations, attacks, or "tests."

She reminds me of a high school teacher who treats her students terribly and unfairly because she thinks it will prepare them for the real world.
Yeah, me too. I don't think that's a good teaching method.
Really? I found it somewhat intriguing but so much seemed silly to me. I mean, for me the biggest mystery of the show is trying to figure out what on Earth possessed a psychiatrist to have an indentitiless, unpredictable mental patient move in with her family the day she met him. When stuff like that nags at me I have a hard time being interested in other mysteries of a show.
I also feel they way Kyle is written is very weird. I've always gotten the impression he is the escaped product of some secret human cloning/enhancement project. That explains why he's fast and strong and can learn incredibly quickly but doesn't understand the basics of social interaction. But the weird thing is he doesn't understand the simple social stuff yet seems to naturally understand to the complex stuff. It feels like the writers don't really understand what an adult with absolutely no social experience would behave like and they try to communicate it through obvious and simple things. I mean, one minute he'll be having a pretyy normal conversation with the son about peer acceptance, and then the next minute the mother is explaning to him that coffee is hot. I dunno, I'm no psychology expert and I've only seen a few episodes, but it just doesn't sit right with me.
I was really interested in this show when I first heard about. And you know, this is just the kind of critique I find helpful. Matters like that are sort of subtle, but really affect the feel of the show. I guess it's hard to get that kind of character portrayal right. Mind sharing some of your usual insightfulness and clarity about other points of the show?

Oh, I didn't mean it to be derrogatory. Of course there's nothing wrong with being affectionate, and even if you were being flirty, I wasn't trying to say that that was necessarily something bad.
All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the light that you see. All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the peace that you feel. All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to fill your heart on my own.
But the rainbow is an image of hope for many reasons, as it is a brilliant sight coming out of oftimes dismal weather.
hey everyone. Thank you again for listening and reaching out. It helps more than you know.
In happier news, my brother is going back to work. He's kinda on the slow side, and he was in a bit of a slump after he lost his job. He was working in a job-placement program, and they ran out of funds.
Now, however, they are taking him back thanks to a new grant. He's happier now than I've seen him in years.

Sure: the leading actor is hot. Dopey looking, but hot.
Honestly I haven't seen much of the show. I watched the first few episodes and lost interest. I can't say I didn't enjoy what I saw, so if you're interested it's at least worth giving a try.
Hey Cecelia, mind if I love you for mind for a sec? In this FCC round I'm working on a card where the only auto-win interaction I can come up with is Doomsday, which is only Legacy & Vintage legal. I'm wondering how fast is reasonable for a combo deck to goldfish in Legacy. If, with an ideal draw, you win on turn 4 and average draw will win it on turns 5 or 6, is that acceptable? I seem to recall Goblins winning on turn 2 or 3 regularly, so it'd seem my combo isn't broken, correct?

ohhh the great kraj has a question for Cecilia. Well Goblins doesnt really win on turn 2 or 3 regularly especially when people pack force of wills and swords to plowshares i'd say its usually from anywhere around turn 4 with goblins. Of course it also depends on the luck of the draw alot of the time and also the goblin player's skill level alot of the time too. Goblins either is brutally savage or it doesnt win at all. Although goblin ringleader, goblin matron, and even goblin siege-gang can make goblins have a much better mid to late game. I would agree however the average turn win for vintage goblins is around turn 2 or 3 though at least i think.
Combo decks like Solidarity can win turn 3 or 4 consistently but sometimes its just hard to go off especially when everybody runs force of wills and meddling mages. The make or break turn is usually turn 4 though and turn 4 in legacy usually determines the rest of the match so I would say your combo is not broken in my opinion.
Thank you again. It's almost overwhelming how many people have offered to talk about it or said something nice to me. I am honestly touched. I've never had this many people express this much concern for me in my life. Wow, I don't know what to say about all of this, I truly don't...
