Well, things are going to get rolling for the car at about 3pm today, so here's hoping it turns out alright. Josh's mom has said it's very possibly the battery as well; it used to be her car before Josh got it and she had similar problems.
Granted, this seems like such a simple problem, but I've learned from having multiple mechanics in the family that when something goes wrong with a car, there's always a long list of things it could be.
Anyway, I'll be available for PCL games shortly, myself. I'm going to get a shower and some lunch, so I'll be around in about a half hour.
@kraj: welcome back and yes we all missed you including me!
@mamelon: im feeling much better today mamelon and thanks very much for cheering me up last night. *hugs mamelon and gives her a cappincino with a blueberry danish*
@snoop: have a great day at volunteer work and drive carefully.
*waves at photon and ethersphere*
Im going to get ready for work myself in like a half an hour. Have a good morning everyone and see you all later tonight when i get back from work. Take care and have a great day everyone! *hugs and blows kisses*
@ceci: I don't drive :/ I do however bike to work and request that those of you driving today please be extra careful to look out for bikes and pedestrians because it's harder to stop in the rain.
@tanthalas: is your workplace somehow toxic to good people? maybe they're leaving for a reason that may not be clear to you yet. I'm sorry to hear that your mates are flying the coop though, it's hard enough to get up and face the workday even with good company at the job.
@mamelon: a lot of the stuff on the ayurvedic test is geared towards gauging how much stress hormones you have: sweaty/dry skin, hot/cold preference, bowel habits, overweight/normal weight/underweight, appetite, cognitive speed and flexibility are all determined by varying levels of adrenalin and cortisol, unless they are severely skewed then it could be a thyroid problem. I guess it's to judge whether you need to learn to relax or whether you should focus your efforts on doing things which give you energy like exercise and drinking tea.
Well, I really hope we get our boosters soon. I've decided that I need some spot removal - as much as green can have, that is. I'll be shooting for Creeping Molds and maybe Rolling Spoil in the future, to sideboard in against some opponents.
Speaking of cards, I've discovered something. Healing Leaves is good. I mean duh, it's a green Healing Salve, but it really helped me against Faerie Lord yesterday and the damage prevention can be a good thing.
FL, I'm calling you Florida from now on since your name is abbreviated "FL." Deal with it =P
I'm tempted not to hand out packs this week, or at least wait until the end of the week to give people a chance to play at least 2 matches to get more packs.
Yes, Tanthalas. You can respond to Timbermare's CIP ability with any spell or ability you could play (like, in this example, Rathi Trapper). This means that all creatures would be tapped when Timbermare is done coming into play.
I dunno, Tanthalas; if I hadn't played that 'mare, I woulda been dead as a doornail in no time. Zombies ftw, yo!
I'm keeping Healing Leaves for some sideboard action (I'm sure there's some T2 elitist reading this and laughing, but rest assured I get laid every night whereas he does not). It's a versatile card that affords me something rare in my deck archetype; it can save my creatures.
On the car front...it wasn't the battery. I'm pissed. I'm hoping it's a blown fuse or something sime like that, because I'm seriously getting sick of the situation. My brother volunteered to come along tomorrow if we go have a look at it, so maybe he can shed some light on the issue.
Sorry I have been so quiet the last week. This has been a busy week.
I have a movie watched for Sci Fi of the week...and ready to review, I will get that done soon I hope.
Congrats Evan on RoTW, and thank you for mentioning me, it means alot. You are a good friend.
First off, new avatar/banner/custom combo! Went OLD school on this one!
@Tanthalas: OMFG - LOVEEEEE that video! Go Alanis, Go!
Nothing else to really say other than we're expecting snow here tomorrow... For once I can't wait till the stuff leaves. It's wayyyy too late for that stuff.
Also, I have a new banner. Please join me in the drive to save an endangered species. This was the most recent image of the dwindling species of Shyfts. Please do what you can to help a dying creature type.
I'm worried about this vehicle situation. If it doesn't get fixed soon, Photon is going to be in a bad fix. I don't know much about it except that it's not apparent what is wrong with it.

That makes sense, as that characteristic group seems to be a focal point of defining this kind of "constitutional type."
I wonder what it means if you are stretched somehow between two extremes.
As for me: bad day.

Hey, everyone! Just checking in. I hope you have a better day tomorrow, Mamelon. Man, I've been worn out recently. I'm just not really getting enough sleep. I guess that means something must be bugging me... :/

@snoop: oh ok well its better transportation then what i am doing i have to walk to work everyday just about.
Well i just wanted to stop by and say hello. Ill be on aol if anyone wants to talk to me. See you all soon! *hugs and blows kisses to everyone*
Not sure. Not to turn too much attention to myself, but I guess I just feel really fragile right now for some reason. I had something of a panic attack earlier, but it's passing. The vehicle issues is really stressful, but I guess we have some way to get it fixed, eventually, based on what I'm hearing.
Other than that, just internal chaos, I suppose. I'm not sure I want to go into it all, but it's just been a very depressing day.

Hey guys. How is everyone doing today? I'm getting kind of stressed out. School is insane right now, and I am in the middle of the hardest part of track season as well, not to mention that I have piano, church, and most importantly, sleep, that I have to do also. And it doesn't help that things aren't going any better with the girl situation either. Argh, just not a good time in my life right now.
@Mamelon: Awww...I'm sorry. Is there anything we can do to help? I feel bad talking about my problems when I'm sure everyone else's are so much worse. Wow, so is there anyone in the 'House that is doing well?
@Alacar: Good luck on the rest of driving. Don't worry, once you finish, you will be so relieved.
I have days like that, sometimes. I don't know what is stressing you out, I can only offer my condolences and hopes that things get better. I'm just not that good at reaching out to people...

Thank you, and don't worry about not being able to reach out to people. Just showing that you care is comforting enough. And by the way, didn't I way what was stressing me out?
So my brother introduced me to this guy's website, and I found it quite funny. And smart! I highly recommend the Scrabble one. I'm currently looking at others. Oh... naughty language alert.
I had something of a panic attack earlier, but it's passing.
Ugg I hate panic attacks. I used to suffer from severe depersonalization, and it could cause the most shattering panic attacks. I've learned to deal with them. One thing that helps emensely is trying to control your breathing. If you give into the panic, your body will follow, but if you can try to lead it with controlled breathing, it can help it pass easier. This may sound kindof goofy, but if your around someone you know, holding someones hand always helped me get through panic attacks. Gave me an anchor I guess.
Can I ask everyones opinion on something? I'm buiding my first custom guitar and I'm trying to decide the finish for it. It's going to have a tortoise shell pickguard*Not made from real tortoise*. If you don't know, it is this very classic looking material that has rich swirls of reds, blacks, cremes and browns. For the guitar, I'm considering:
A glossy black paint B Crimson stained wood C Honey stained wood
Don't worry about it. I don't like seeing people stressed out, no matter who it is... :D. So, if you are also stressed out, I also hope that you feel better, too.
I don't tend to have panic attacks, but I do get anxious rather easily. I have a hard time not 'knowing' stuff. If, for example, someone's agreed to come over or is supposed to come home, I often get anxious if they are late, at least until I figure out why they are late. Irrational, definitely, but I deal with it the best that I can. I never get so anxious that it reaches 'out of control' proportions unless there's a very good reason I should be that upset.

Yeah, that's good advice. It's a pretty big factor, and I've been working on it for some time. For about . . . oh, a year and a half, I've had some trouble with breathing and breath control. I'm kind of in that state where when I try to consciously control my breath, I get self-conscious about it and I become unable to breathe comfortably. When I am tense, like, at all, I become short of breath, have a hard time breathing into my diaphragm, and have stiffness in my shoulders, neck, and throat. It's hard to breathe deeply when that happens. Usually I need to directly address whatever the source of emotional turmoil is before I start relaxing. Doing some yoga can help, too. It still happens almost every day, though.
It's hard to gauge, but I'd say you're right about holding hands. I often realize that something like a hug or other comfortable physical contact can work wonders for relieving stress.
Also, I'm a fan of honey-stained wood.
@Kevin: Thanks for your support. I hope you have a great day tomorrow. *hugs* This week has been going fast. How's work?
@Psychoburner: Oh, I know how you feel. I hate when something is supposed to happen, and is delayed and I'm left wondering what's going on.
