That was one messed up movie. If Macully Culkin didn't creep you out already, that film will do it for sure.
As a child, I used to get mistaken for Macaulay Culkin all the time. At first, it irritated the hell out of me, but then I sort of got into it, particularly after Good Son came out.
But then, puberty hit, and the resemblance ended. Luckily, by that time, no one gave a damn about him anymore, so it was cool.

It's funny. I just saw a movie last night called Party Monster with him and Seth Green. Interesting movie and Culkin's almost kinda hot now. Still a bit creepy, though.

I do disagree Nai,I feel Elijah Wood is an Amazing actor.Hes one of the best young stars Holleywood has to offer. He always has the ability to display the widest range of emotion at the drop of a hat.

He's not a bad actor, really. I liked him in Saved. Actually, there isn't much about that movie that I don't like.
Also, on the comment on Forsythe: I agree. In the past, I might have been interested in meeting him, but he's been on my **** list ever since the GDS. I mean, I know we have had our differences (haha, remember Christmas and that big to-do?), but I seriously wanted to kick his ass over some of those comments towards you in the GDS. I mean, I realize he knows his stuff more than some hack amateur like myself, but did he need to be so nasty about it?

Rodimus, we have a very diverse group of people, including more than a handful of homosexuals. And the comment about 'whatever floats your boat' almost comes across as scathing.
Funny, I took more like "most people don't think of Sean Astin as someone who is hot".
Also, on the comment on Forsythe: [...] I mean, I realize he knows his stuff more than some hack amateur like myself, but did he need to be so nasty about it?
I kinda wonder if they started with the mindset of "let's talk to them like we talk to each other and see how they respond" without realizing how different the dynamic is. I don't exactly have hard feelings, but he just seemed to focus on the negative so much more than Mark or Devon.
You're new to the 'house and (I think?) to MTGS, Rodimus, so I'll let you in on something. Photon and myself are a couple. People who don't already know that tend to react weird to the way we relate to each other, so I figured I'd spare you the headache =)
You didn't offend Photon, don't worry. He just makes it a habit to be grumpy on a daily basis. It's cute, but it can catch people off-guard.
That said...I have liked Elijah Wood in some of his movies. He did make a good Frodo, and he was really good in The Ice Storm. But the younger actor I always find myself gravitating to is Jake Gyllenhaal. He's such a talented actor and adorable to boot - Josh and I have officially, unbeknownst to him, adopted him as our son.
Im not worried about it Kraj, thanks though, many people get offended differently.I do apologise once more to all involved.I respect gays and their veiws very much.

Eh. I saw Wood in Lord of the Rings, and I thought he, quite frankly, was one of the worst actors in the movie. He only had one expression the entire time, to me. That whole "whacked by a hammer give the ring to them" expression. I don't think he actually shows much emotion. The guy that plays Samwise, though...

Well to be fair he was playing Frodo Baggins, whose only role in the trilogy was to freak out over everything that ever happened. In that respect I think Elijah Wood did the role justice
Sean Astin did a very good Samwise, I think. And I was really scrutinous of his ability to do so, because Sam is my favorite Tolkein universe character. I think he should've gotten an award for his role (provided he didn't because I don't watch awards shows and would never know).

Keep calm, my friend. Like I said, Photon is grumpy. Generally, though, if he's on your back it means he likes you, so try not to take it personally. He's like that grumpy old man in every children's movie who yells for the hooligans to get off his lawn, but secretly donates the money they need to save their school or some junk.

That's actually a good question. And considering this is a MTG forum, you'd think there would be more muscle-flexing jackasses hanging around (or maybe they're just in a hidden forum), but everyone in the 'house is pretty nice.
FL brings up a good point. I think the people in the 'house feel like we can be more authentic and honest and not put on an intarweb face for everyone. This place is really laid back and it shows =)
1. Those are fighting words, BETCH.
2. That's spam, BETCH.
Anyway, guys- remember how we were all sharing poems? Here is one I wrote recently for my dearest friend, Faerie Lord.
She was working in a bridal shop in Flushing, Queens,
'til her boyfriend kicked her out in one of those crushing scenes.
What was she to do?
where was she to go?
she was out on her fanny...
so over the bridge from Flushing to the Sheffield's door.
She was there to sell make-up, but father saw more.
she had style!
she had flair!
she was there!
that's how she became the nanny!
Who would have guessed that the girl we've described, was just exactly what the doctor prescribed?
Now the father finds her beguiling (watch out C.C.!)
and the kids are actually smiling (such joie de vivre!)
she is the lady in red when everybody else is wearing tan...
The flashy girl from Flushing,
the nanny named Fran!
This poem is really about the virtuous soul that is Faerie Lord. Notice how the clever use of words accentuates his vital sense of humor and his casual wit! I really feel that this poem is a real tour de force!

[16:23] Alacar Leoricar: maybe if you do it'll make the porn more meaningful
So my week of work is done. Tomorrow I got my 20th birthday party! My real birthday is Tuesday, but we're having it tomorrow for convenience on everyone. It's sure to be a blast.
As for the Precon League.. I'll have a new draft for the rules up later today.
Editing after I've caught up:
Mackulay Culkin: I also used to be mistaken for him when I was younger, but at the first sign of facial hair, it vanished.
Elijah Wood: He's a good actor, but Lord of the Rings, while his most recognized work, is not his best. Frodo Baggins is not a role to launch your career on. Legolas, however...
Rules concerning Photon Eater: I find it best to just let him go and say what he wants. Don't ignore him, but don't respond too extremely. Then he'll just taper off. He won't peter down, he'll just stay at the same level of jack***. It's something you gotta get used to.
Heh,I actually tried watching the nanny once.It would be okay if Fran stopped laughing.
I think Mr.Wood did an excellent job as Frodo, and disagree with you Nai,he had to display many emotions in that role.Joy many times, anger, frustration and pain. The finest actors would sometimes have trouble doing what he did in that movie.
HAPPY early B-Day Alacar!!!
