I really hope I get a chance to relax and maybe sleep for an hour or two before my chiropractor appointment and so on and suchforth...
Nice, you go to a chiropractor as well. I love mine. My back was so bad, and doctors couldn't help me, but I finally found my chiropractor and she's helped so much.
Uhm..Ive been a member of MTGsalvation since november and its just about now that I decided to join a clan. Am I welcome at yours? Ive seen many clans but I felt I would be comfortable talking and opening up at the magic coffeehouse. Thanks.

Have a good day folks, I've gotta run do some last minute senidng and whatnot before the bus gets here.... Wheee... such fun....
And I didn't get any sleep... Oh joy and goodness...
I still need to do a bit more research on Toy Story and write the Social/Historical Context up over the weekend, and begin cranking out my Lit Review next week... for those of you who were here around 4-5 months ago, you remember me whining about my lit review? Well guess what, I gotta do it again.
Well thank you miss Omna. Wow. People here must be doing alot of things. As for me Im extensively playing so many decks that I create in the MGA thread and playtesting decks people are posting there. Im also interested in the humor games forum.
Right now Im not doing anythin. I would like to greet all members here. Thanks for the warm welcome!;)
Goodluck Miss Omna. After that better get some rest ok?:) I Also saw your profile. Your playin Final Fantasy. My favorite RPG. Im also playin lots of PS2 games..Too bad I dont have enough money to buy PS3. I've played Final Fantasies 7, 8, 9 ,10, x-2 extensively. Almost perfected it, still have my files in my memry card. =D
ff7: approx 347 hrs(red timeclock, it restarted 2 times already) back in 1997 - Perfect file
ff8: approx 289 hrs back in 1998 - The 3 men were immortal - almost perfect file
ff9: approx 293 hrs in 1999 - Only one thing I did not get, w/c is Excalibur II (you cant get it after 293 hours of gameplay dont we)
ff10: approx 256 hrs - perfect file, perfect sphere grid and perfect stats
ffx-2:approx 297 hrs and The new game plus feature I cant remember how many times Ive used it - 100% completion and perfect file.
Oh well, other than that my favorites are Metal gear series, Naruto series, God of War and many more. Im kinda bored in magic right now. Wanna talk about some things different. That's why I joined here. Thanks evryone.
It went years before I got those playtime hours. I still remember making my ff7 file stronger after I played 10.
As for ff12, Im now kinda busy at my college life since im a graduating student. Sigh* my FF files are back when I was a liitle boy all then all throughout my highschool days.. Magic was just a side hobby. When I got to college that's just about the time I made Magic serious, got myself a decent girlfriend and hopefully to graduate soon.;)
@Mr. Stuff: What do you think of that anime? It looks pretty good, in my opinion.
Quote from Mr. Stuff »
I know what you mean about the quality of our artwork production though. Disney was the only real champion of traditional animation in the U.S. (Read - the only one really big enough to put out more than a few traditional animated movies in theatres). So what's Disney doing these days? Making unnescessary sequels to everything in sight, and ditching traditional animation completely in lieu of CGI. Up yours, Disney. Art is not inherently better just because it's computer generated. It's like the difference between oil and watercolor paintings. They can both be awesome, you know? And don't even get me started on American critics, ratings boards, execs, studios, or whoever that won't release serious animation. Things don't have to be either kiddy or consist of inane adult jokes and toilet humor to succeed, people. Ugh.
I agree, and notice that Western communities seem to have a notably different attitude towards animation. Many don't appear to think of it as a viable art form in its own right. If you look at most American animated shows, we have a number of very good shows, and a considerably larger number of shows that don't seem to take themselves seriously at all. The kind of anime that becomes publicized in the States seem to "typecast" anime in general, and many of them aren't that different than American cartoons. I know a lot of people who act simply mystified by the quirks present in Japanese anime, even though they really aren't any more unusual than American animation conventions.

All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the light that you see. All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the peace that you feel. All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to fill your heart on my own.
But the rainbow is an image of hope for many reasons, as it is a brilliant sight coming out of oftimes dismal weather.
Hey hey, Hunter44! If you have that many hours logged into your memory card, then you should seriously consider joining [Natural 20] as well as the Coffeehouse. The best part about the House is that it's an Overclan, so you can join a regular one like [Natural 20]. It's a clan devoted to RPGs, both video game and traditional pen-and-paper.
This is the last post I can afford to post on the Coffeehouse until I get my history paper done. As soon as it's done, my weekend can officially begin.
I ask all of you--if you see me posting or online after this post, PLEASE PM me and tell me to stop. I need to work on this paper.
Welcome Hunter and little dragon i hope you both will enjoy your stay here. Have a good weekend!
@alacar: goodluck on your paper im sure you will do great on it.
@omna: goodluck on your presentation!
Well i just wanted to pop in and say hello to you all. Have a good morning everybody and ill talk to you all soon! I have to work for 7 hours again today but im glad i have saturday and sunday off. Have a great day everyone. *hugs and blows kisses*
I'm officially digging the preview card, and the Grandeur legends in general. Fantastic design.
I love Grandeur, particular Oriss. Is it just me, or is Grandeur akin to a legendary take on Spellshaping? It really feels like that was the idea behind it.
Shut up or ill steal your body so that my hands start working again!
My 13 year old sister is spending the weekend with us. She's obsessed with all things Naruto, and 10 to 1 I am going to be forced to put up with that nonsense for the next few days. It's gonna be awful.

[16:23] Alacar Leoricar: maybe if you do it'll make the porn more meaningful
Morning everyone! I feel so much better after a good night's sleep and the realization that I don't have to work today. That being said, my day is pretty open if someone wants to do something. I plan on play some Tales and perhaps browsing the old card sets for more precon ideas.
Speaking of work, last night wasn't too bad actually. I had to write on a few cakes, which, mind you, I'm not a pro at. But, it wasn't too bad. I had to do some running around, and a few things I didn't even get to like mopping the floors. I could do another night like that, but I'd prefer someone else there to help me out.
Wow I hate my job sometimes. Uninstalled a guys printer and his internet service chose that time to go down for some reason...and he blames me. You would be amazed how often this happens (once every month or so this happens...every time it comes up on its own within an hour)
I'm off on holiday tomorrow, so I doubt I'll be around until next Wednesday or Thursday. Ciao, bambini!
More like "Adiós, muchachos", no? Have a nice trip, man.
Anyone here into Death Note? I started watching it last week, and I must say it's very intriguing! Having seen two episodes so far, I'm still clueless as to how they're going to develop the story. Which is a good thing, of course (unless the creators are as clueless as me).
You know, when I suggested updating the Custom Cards subforum rules to make rudeness and unconstructive criticism an infractable offense, I didn't think I'd be handing out this many infractions. Apparently, combating people's natural tendancies to prove they are better than someone else is quite a battle...
EDIT: Geez... Faerie Lord I dunno what to say. I never thought I would get a score that good. I thought I had some serious problems; I really thought it would be closer than that. I feel bad.

[16:23] Alacar Leoricar: maybe if you do it'll make the porn more meaningful
I'm feeling lazy this week, and this is one of the best summaries I've seen on anidb, so here's a little copy and paste for the description:
Amatsu Tadahiro is a highschool student who inherits the blood of the Saniwa, and because of that he always being targeted by evil spirits. However, he hasn't the slightest clue why his body is attracting those evil spirits. In order to protect Amatsu Tadahiro and the town from evil spirits, the shrine maiden committee is formed. Three Hieda sisters plus a couple more girls from highschool joined the shrine maiden committee. But can they fight against the evil spirits led by Ayatachi Michimune? And what about the growing love between Yuzu and Tadahiro?
Asagiri no Miko's plot, although it sounds simple enough at first, actually grows to be very complex, and carries you right along with it. It's one of the first anime that ever made me cry, come to think of it. It has a great mix of comedy, action, and endearing affection that make it a very fun watch. The girls are not one dimensional - their characters grow and change throughout the series, as does the prowess of their spiritual attacks. Asagiri no Miko seems to have that "just right" mix of characters and personalities that makes Azumanga Daioh so great to watch. Everyone clicks together, and at the same time adds something different to the team.
This is a "sleeper" anime, in my opinion. It's really very good, but not a whole lot of people have heard of it. If you give it a shot, I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Great plot, great action, and a little bit of comedy and romance thrown in there for good measure.
I distinctly remember watching that one a year ago, or so. Good one, of course.
BTW Stuff, I'm VP of the Anime Club at my school.(I know....it's kinda sad) I provide an anime that we watch, and I'm kinda torn between decisions here. What would you go with; first two episodes of Claymore, or Darker Than Black?
Hey hey! Disney isn't the only one doing animation/CGI... I should know, I'm doing my senior thesis on how the Brave Little Toaster and Toy Story are distinctly NON Disney films, and how they are formulaic parables, but with strong messages to children as well as adults nowadays, which are still popular in this day and age.... Also about the hero/quest narrative approach... (ie, Buzz/Woody going on a journey together to try to get 'home' to Andy's room, the Toaster and company trying to find their Master, etc etc so on and so forth) thusly developing a sense of persistence, working together to defeat impossible odds and strength of will!
I LOOOOOOVE Toy Story. Great plot, awesome voices(I mean come one; Tom Hanks AND Tim Allen? Awesome...), and good sequel to follow. I only wish they could've made a third one to go with it.
I know what you mean, Mr. Stuff. Serious animation is like ugh, here in the states. So many people hear anime and instantly either think porn or pokemon, nothing in between. I find it hilarious, though, really. I try to talk to them about good, actual anime and they say 'you like pokemon...ha ha'. I gave up on stuff like that...
Which is EXACTLY why I avoid those conversation topics. I just talk with the people at my school I KNOW like anime, because they're in the club. That's right, we have an anime club at our school. That's right, I AM the VP. There, I SAID IT!!!
That makes me wonder... Is anyone up to the VERY arduous task of going through all of the previous CoffeeHouse threads and marking down who got which cookie? That will take someone a looong time... BUT I think it'd be awesome if we had a thing on the front page marking down how many cookies each person got.. kind of a Hall of Fame kind of thing..... That way, even if you're a regular for a short time and got a cookie you still kind of have a spot... what do you guys think???????? I know it'd be alot of work though.
Shouldn't be too hard. If you just type up [post=post number here] on one page, and get the info that way.

I hate Vista. I hate it with the burning passion of a million exploding supernovae.
In case you hadn't guessed, I've spent most of my day trying to set up a new laptop with Vista on it. The wonderful new security features stop you doing anything. ANYTHING. I can't delete a poxy sub-folder, despite full privileges across the board.

Welcome to the intrawebs, where absolutely NOTHING can be taken seriously. Hope you enjoy your stay, and if you feel like virtually killing someone, get in line.
Another day in the books here... Just going with general stuff right now since not much happened today - again.
Welcome goes to Hunter! I don't mean to be mean but would you say your love of the FF series goes to/beyond fanboy levels? I don't dislike anyone who does - as long as they're realistic with the series...
Vista hate: Don't have it, yet. And at this rate I don't think I'm gonna bother unless I buy a new computer with it pre-installed. If I build one tho I'm probably going to put Linux on it because of this over-security mess. I hate having to deal with that (unless there's one convenient button that turns the whole thing off). That's still months off in the distance at this rate tho.
@Mr. Stuff: What do you think of that anime? It looks pretty good, in my opinion.
It's really pretty good. It's probably my favorite "little known" anime - because almost noone I talk to has heard of it, and it has a really great story, similar to Chrono Crusade in some ways. There is a lot of action, comedy, and general frivolity, but the overarching story makes it all stick together and makes you care about the characters.
Anyone here into Death Note? I started watching it last week, and I must say it's very intriguing! Having seen two episodes so far, I'm still clueless as to how they're going to develop the story. Which is a good thing, of course (unless the creators are as clueless as me).
To quote a friend, it's "awesome awsome. Not quite awesome awesome awesome, but definitely awesome awesome". Myself, I tend to stay away from a lot of the megapopular series, and I just haven't gotten around to looking into it yet, because I'm watching more niche shows like Red Garden and Nodame at the moment.
@Jack:
Awesome! I had so much fun as president during the time I was able to be an officer. Hope you enjoy it. Need any tips or whatever, feel free to ask.
@Al:
Congrats on the license. My DL picture isn't great, but the one for my passport came out awesome, surprisingly enough. I guess AAA takes better pictures than the BMV.
@Omna:
Fire alarms are one of the most unfun parts of living in dorms. Who tries to cook eggs on a George Foreman grill at 4 in the morning? Apparently, someone in our dorm did once. Being woken up in the middle of the night to go stand in the freezing cold for half an hour is one of the least fun things I can think of.
@New people:
Welcome to the coffeehouse, Hunter44. You too Little Dragon - you aren't forgotten.
Unfortunately for me, I've got to head back to work at around 8pm for a couple of hours to make up time from earlier this week. After that, though, I'm scott-free until Sunday. Go go weekend!

It's true. Mine looks like I'm stoned too. So do 3/4 of my friends ID pictures. The other 1/4 look like they're drunk.
@Jack:
Awesome! I had so much fun as president during the time I was able to be an officer. Hope you enjoy it. Need any tips or whatever, feel free to ask.
@Al:
Congrats on the license. My DL picture isn't great, but the one for my passport came out awesome, surprisingly enough. I guess AAA takes better pictures than the BMV.
@Omna:
@New people:
