Of course i made a good point, its me you are talking about.
And not everyone who is in that hidden subforum is a complete ******* you know....
You're a snark elemental.
I know not everyone in there is an idiot, but yeah. Glad it's a hidden forum because I have a feeling it if were public we'd be violating a lot of litter and refuse disposal laws.
@Orlando Bloom: He's the kind of actor who needs to choose his roles more carefully. But given the right one he can be an amazing actor. Elizabethtown is a wonderful movie and I don't think anyone would've been as good for the role as Orlando. He was great in it.
I like Bloom, personally. His voice and his looks are good for many roles. I prefer Depp for his range of character. Now THAT's a man who can play ANY role. Hell, half the roles you can't even compare to the others, since the others don't look/sound anything like him. Compare Pirates to Finding Neverland to Corpse Bride and you'll see what I mean.
Good afternoon everybody i dont have work today so im just going to relax for most of the day i have to work 8.5 hours tommorrow though. Ill either have legacy of the week either up later today or tonight or tommorrow night when i get back from work. See you all soon! *hugs and blows kisses to everyone* Have a great day everyone!
I actually don't like Depp too much. Sure he's a good actor, but the roles he chooses never connect with me. I didn't feel much from Finding Neverland, and Corpse Bride, while good, was no Nightmare Before Christmas. He's a good Jack Sparrow, but that's really because of the character and the way he fleshes it out. The rest of his characters aren't... noteworthy, to me.
So why is everyone here so...I dont know, friendly I guess is the word?Usually around the net everyone thinks there 10 feet tall and bulletproof ,but you fellas are pretty cool. Why is that?...weird...;)
Rules concerning Photon Eater: I find it best to just let him go and say what he wants. Don't ignore him, but don't respond too extremely. Then he'll just taper off. He won't peter down, he'll just stay at the same level of jack***. It's something you gotta get used to.
Actually, no. That's not really it at all. I am quick to make a remark, and I'm quite biting, but there is a line that can be crossed, and I'm quick to make amends if I actually cross it.
How nice of you to write a poem about me and calling me virtuous and that i have a good sense of humor. It seems that i have some fans here.
Shut up, Fergalicious, no one asked you to have a damn opinion.
I don't like Orlando Bloom in a physical sense. He's too pretty. As an actor, I think, as has been said, he needs to be careful with his roles. He did great in Elizabethtown.

@photon: oh wow i thought you were alot taller then 6 foot just by the way you looked in your picture. I thought you were at least 6'5" or something but thats certainly alot taller then me anyway im only 5'8" ;).
I LOVE JOHNNY DEPP. I don't think he's hawt, either. He and Anthony Hopkins are my two all-time favorite film actors because they're just so damn GOOD at what they do.
I'm not saying he's a bad actor by any means, ether, I'm just saying that his roles don't connect with me. It's the characters, not the actor. Jack Sparrow was the only one that has it for me.
However, I agree that Hopkins is one fine man with good film roles. Same with Harvey Keitel.
Faerie Lord: I like watching movies every once in a while. When it was newer I'd spend a whole weekend watching all the Special Extended LotR movies. The thing is, I'd be on the compy and/or eating while I was. I don't just sit and watch unless it's my first time seeing it. I keep myself busy, but most of my attention's on the screen.
I have to say, I absolutely adored Finding Neverland. I've only seen it once or twice (while I've seen Hitchiker's Guide about ten times, and Meaning of Life even more), but it's one of my favorite movies, simply because of how personal it is.

I loved Finding Neverland too, Nai. It's such an endearing story, and I think it has some emotional importance to me since I watched it right after my mother's passing. I think everyone in that film, even the lesser-exposed actors like Radha Mitchell and Robert DeNiro, gace their all for that movie.
@Kevin: I got your PM but unfortunately I can't play a PCL game right now, I'm sorry =( MWS has been a monster for me since the system recovery last night and we're gonna be leaving soon anyway. I promise, we'll actually get around to playing some time soon!
I watched it soon after my dad's death. A lot of good movies came out soon after my dad died, like Star Wars Episode 1. There's a lot of movies he would have gotten a kick out of. I watch them with a spot in my heart for him.
Speaking of... Am I the only one that cried during "Click"? I mean, honest to god, I watched the movie and then was crying uncontrollably for the next three hours. Not for the movie itself (under other circumstances, I would have cried for about thirty seconds), but for my dad and all that.
hmm...never saw "click".Wanted too though.I enjoyed many of Adam's older movies(Billy Madison,Happy Gilmore,Bulletproof, ect.)but I agree his newer stuff does stink.
Nai: That is one COOL banner...just noticed it.Gladiator was freakin awesome.Russel Crowe is great.

2. Well, Rebecca Guay, for sure, if only to have her draw something just for me. Meeting other artists and storyline writers would be interesting as well... I don't think I'd be interested in meeting any famous players or designers, though,
Oooo... good point! I forgot about artists. I would love to meet my favorite Magic artist, Terese Nielsen. I have a fantasy of saving up a couple thousand dollars that I have nothing better to do with and her commissioning for a painting.
Isn't that the movie where Marilyn Manson's playing a transsexual girl? I always wanted to see it... was it good?
Yeppers. I didn't even notice, though. Normally Manson is a pretty stand-out person, but basically everyone in the movie is constantly clad in outrageous outfits and makeup (part of the whole party scene they ceated), so even if he wasn't dressed as a different character he'd blend right in. The movie was pretty good. The characters were disgustingly shallow, but at the same time charismatic and charming. Their world of "everything is fabulous, nothing is meaningful" is surprisingly magnetic. The film made me think of how Oscar Wilde, Andy Warhol, or Marie Antoinette might live their lives in the early 90s. It wasn't a great movie, but it was fun to watch.
You might be the only one who hates watching films in the country! I wouldn't want to spend all day and all night on the couch either, but I still love movies.

Draft 2 of the new Coffeehouse Preconstructed League Rules.
This is a league. I am not responsible for how often you play or who you play. You may play anyone else in the league as often as you like.
You start with a preconstructed deck. You may choose any preconstructed deck sold by Wizards of the Coast.
Notes on Precon decks:
The Coffeehouse Preconstructed League's Banned/Restricted List is the same as Legacy's. If you ever get a banned card (or a second restricted card), let me know. I'll replace it.
If you choose a Core Set Precon deck that's 40 cards, I'll give you a '20 card pack' to fill it in. Don't expect much.
You have access to unlimited basic lands for use in your maindeck. Basic lands are not allowed in your collection, but they ARE allowed in your sideboard. Snow-Covered Lands can't be used this way. You have to get Ice Age or Coldsnap packs to get them.
Pack Distribution:
When you start, you get 1 pack from each set in the block from the Precon deck's set, plus 1 Ninth Edition pack. If you crack a banned card (or a second restricted card), let me know, I'll replace it for you.
Every week, I will give you two packs from a Legacy-legal set of your choice.* I will PM you the contents of your packs, and have my packs PMed to me.
Alpha, Beta, Unlimited, Revised, and Fourth Edition packs cannot be chosen.
Special Packs: Once a month, I will give you 1 Special Pack, which consists of 1 rare, 2 uncommons, and 4 commons of your choice. Time Spiral 'Timeshifted' Purple cards count as the highest rarity of the card it's shifted.
Exchange Rule: You may 'turn in' 22 commons, 6 uncommons, and 2 rares from your collection to get 1 pack from a set of your choice. Do this no more than two times per week. Time Spiral 'Timeshifted' Purple cards count as the highest rarity of the card it's shifted.
Rewards*: If you play in at least one match in a week, you get 1 extra pack of your choice. If you play in at least three matches in a week, you get an additional pack of your choice.
Trading: Trading can be done in private with anyone else. We at the Coffeehouse trust that you're being honorable and not pretending to have a card you don't. Trading is highly encouraged, as is posting your haves and wants.
Starting Anew: You may, at any time, choose to start with a new Precon deck. But keep in mind you will be at a disadvantage in terms of cards.
Gameplay
Games are best 2 out of 3.
You may play anyone else in the league as often as you wish.
If you can't finish a match, it doesn't count.
Report all wins/losses in this thread.*
Sideeboard: Sideboards are 15 cards. The rest is your collection.
Coffee-Mulligan: At any time you could mulligan, if you have 0, 1, 6, or 7 lands in your hand, you may reveal it, and mulligan without losing a card. Do this only once per game.
Mirage (MTGO)
Visions (MTGO)
Tempest---Planar Chaos
Sixth Edition---Ninth Edition
*Needs discussion.
Note: With these rules, you may choose to keep what you have, and you don't have to start over.
And dont worry Alacar....ill just transform then drive you where ya wanna go!;)

This weeks deck would be based on one of ether's favorite decks BG reanimator. This particular build that i am going to show was built and piloted by a San Diego legacy player. He finished 5th place with it at the mana leak open which had more then 100 players in the legacy tournament.
Sundering Titan: This deck absolutely wrecks decks with more then 2 colors so this big critter can do a number on threshold gro and other 3 or more color decks. It also provides as a huge beater and can end the game quickly if its resolved early via reanimation.
Angel of Despair: Angel's vindicate removal ability when it is brought into play can win you games that you shouldn't have. The ability to remove meddling mages and other card stoppers can be a very good thing for this deck. Also provides as a 5/5 flyer so it can add a pretty fast clock and can fly over defenses of an unwary legacy player.
Blazing Archon: Blazing archon's ability of preventing creatures to not attack you is a huge ability in the legacy format. Considering about half of the time or more you will face aggro related decks in the format considering i faced either aggro or aggro-control decks in all six rounds i played at the SCG tournament. None of those aggro decks were goblins or threshold by the way. Blazing archon can also end the game pretty quickly since it can fly through alot of defense and swings for 5 every turn.
Bringer of the blue dawn: Another huge beater that can end games quickly or can provide as a chump blocker. Although the most important part about blue dawn is he can draw cards for you in the early going of any match which can make a big difference. Drawing more answers, threats, or more utility can often win you those tough matches. He also can be really good in the control match where the mid to late game is just as important as the early game against control.
Phanton Nishoba: Another huge clock creature but the ability to have you gain life can often save you against alot of aggro and aggro-control decks in the format. His gaining life ability can also be really useful against tendrils decks as well.
Putrid Imp: Can provide a clock but more important he is used as a discard outlet to get all of those big casting cost creatures in the deck from hand to the graveyard. From there the creatures can get animated into play again from really low casting cost spells.
Simic Skyswallower: Another very good creature in this deck. Not only he can win games for you almost instantly but he can virtually dodge almost any spot creature removal in the format from swords to plowshares to vindicate.
Symbiotic Wurm: Another huge clock beater however whenever he gets put into the graveyard he can make a ton of 1/1 insect chump blockers for you which is often a good plan against goblins, threshold and other aggro related decks in the format. He also has some brutal synergy with recurring nightmare which there are two in this deck.
Thunder dragon: His ability to sweep every goblin on the face of the table into the graveyard is a huge ability in the format. He also can kill threshed nimble mongooses and meddling mages from threshold. Also his ability can be huge against angel stompy and other aggro related decks as well.
Animate dead: A must in this deck of course. The ability to bring back any large creature for 2 mana is huge card advantage right there.
Pernicious Deed: The best mass removal card in legacy in my opinion considering it can come online earlier compared to akroma's vengeance. Also deed can be invincible against instantaneous artifact/enchantment hate spells like disenchant compared to nevin's disk anyhow.
Recurring Nightmare: Probably the best card in this deck. The ability to keep recurring your creatures from the grave is huge in renaimator decks that splash black of course. Recurring nightmare can also dodge enchantment hate spells as well.
Dark ritual: Mostly provides as mana acceration to power out a large creature as soon as possible against a pretty fast paced format.
Akroma, angel of wrath: Probably the most popular creature that people see in any reanimator deck. This creature always comes to mind of many when making a reanimator deck. I mean she has haste and has protection from red and black which makes her invincible against goblins and homebrew BW can be huge. She also has alot of other abilities as well which makes her very consistent and versatile in any reanimator deck.
Braids cabal minion: A great creature against control, threshold, and other decks as well. Often she can be used as a lock down creature mostly because of her universal card removal ability.
Buried Alive: Pretty much the survival of the fittest in a reanimator deck any other questions?
Cabal therapy: Great against combo and control and its flashblack is excellent synergy with the abundance of creatures in this deck combined with recurring nightmare.
Exhume: Pretty much the same as animate deck but probably wouldnt be the best reanimate spell to use when your playing in a mirror match.
Reanimate: Pretty much the same as exhume and animate dead except losing life to a large creature's casting cost can be a big deal when playing against any aggro or aggro-control deck. Although its not overlooked since it only costs 1 black to bring back any creature you desire from the grave which is again brings huge card advantage.
Sickening Dreams: Another great card to get all of your huge creatures in the graveyard then bring them into play with reanimation spells. Although the ability to wipe the board clean against any abundance creature aggro deck can win you games.
Polluted Delta: Thins out your deck to get better draws early. Also the ability to fetch either overgrown tomb or bayou is often a great way to stabalize your manabase just watch out for wastelands.
Windswept heath: pretty much the same as delta.
Sideboard Card Choices:
Defense Grid: great against any deck that plays countermagic. Also can slow down solidarity about 40-50 percent considering they have to cast reset on your turn. Which gives you the opportunity to swing with your biggest creatures to end the match quickly.
Choke: Also another great card against solidarity and any blue based deck like threshold, landstill, and uw control.
Naturalize: Destroys aether vial from goblins to prevent them from getting massive clock speed and card advantage against you from their goblins. Also destroys pithing needle naming recurring nightmare or pernicious deed. Also a useful card against enchantress.(this deck top 8 on both days of the mana leak open 2.)
Well i hope everyone enjoyed reading my primer on BG reanimator stay tuned until next week for another exciting legacy deck.
Psst...i can get even grumpier than photon when someone dare says that ron spencer, john avon, donato giancola, Justin Sweet, Jeff Miracola, RK POST, Zoltan Boros and Gabor Skizskai or someone similar is better than shisizaru, aleksi bricolot, terese neilsen, richard kane ferguson or rebecca guay. Face it, these are the top 5 artists
1. Rebecca Guay 2. Terese Neilsen 3. Richard Kane Ferguson 4. Aleksi Briclot 5. Shisizaru
Yeah...thats the list...ron spears following close at 6th place
@Alacar. You like Serra Angel just because she has boobs you pervert
I never heard of ron spears actually the person that placed 6th was Dave Feinstein with RG aggro in the same tournament that I am speaking of.
@Kevin: LOL! No offense at the laugh but you're confusing topics. Faerie Lord is discussing artists and you seem to be discussing GP/PT players...
@Faerie Lord: There's no t5 for me (rk post used to be my absolute favorite along with Brom but now they're all pretty much equals to me) - I do have to say tho that Parante is STILL my least favorite artist out the bunch. His work is too uniform and not very pleasing to my eyes. The newest artists I'm seeing don't really have bad stuff, however. It just seems that Parante just seems to displease me everytime.
Now I'm off to read Future Sight. Just got the novel in the mail today - a full TWO weeks before it's supposed to be released to the public... don't ask me how that happened - it just did.
