Hey, everyone. Haven't been here all day, because I've been sick ever since last night. Around four in the morning, I had a fever and just couldn't stop shivering. I had on two blankets and turned the heat up, but nothing seemed to help. Then, after a few hours of hazily tossing and turning, I started getting extremely hot, and ended up lying on top of my covers with the fan on, feeling like I was burning up. I hate getting sick like that, when you can barely move, even so much as sit up without having to fight the urge to vomit. I kept having to get up for water, and was sure each time I'd fall over and pass out or something.
I did finally get to sleep around 8 o'clock, and slept until five in the afternoon almost without interruption. That made a big difference, though I was still very weak and sore after waking up. I hope I'm okay to work tomorrow; at least now I can keep some food down. I seriously thought it just wouldn't end, but I'm finally starting to feel better. It feels like some 24-hour virus to me. I remember getting this about a year ago, and being just miserable for most of the day, and then being fine the day after. Hopefully I'll be better after sleeping tonight.
I'll try to do some catching up in a minute; just wanted to say hi and check in.
Hope you and the rest of ya get well soon. Alot of you are hurt, depressed, or sick. Not a good week I see.
Just little question for ya's no need for answers but just something to think about. Ever get to a point in life where no matter what happens you honestly just can't care anymore cause of how much crap you have taken in a long period of time. I think I finally reach that point in which I careless what happens to me or my life... Meh. Tired of working hard for no just cause or reason. Meh.
Anyway I have to get to sleep or I'll be screawed over when I try to go to bed tomorrow for work.
Talk to ya all later. Feel free to drop a line on my AIM but I won't see it till morning....
oh by the way I have a different type of set-up for BoTU that I want to talk to some of yous about first before anything happens....

Alacar, I would like two Time Spiral packs, and a Dissension.
Thanks for the well wishes, and I reciprocate with enthusiasm. I'll probably be posting some more once I start getting more energy back. I've pretty much done nothing all day except sleep and lie around watching tv.

All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the light that you see. All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the peace that you feel. All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to fill your heart on my own.
But the rainbow is an image of hope for many reasons, as it is a brilliant sight coming out of oftimes dismal weather.
ECecilia? That's so late 90's. Don't you know everything has an "i" in front now? iCecilia's are the latest trend. I'm using mine to surf the web right now.
Hope you get better Omna, Mams, Evan, and everybody else who is feeling down and out right now - including Mike and 'Fox. We need a few bowls of chicken soup and some extra blankets in the house, or something.
I'm going to get the title of my new car signed over into my name tomorrow, which means I need to get up earlyish on my day off. Bleh. Oh well - I can just sleep once it's over. Then I can go get some cool seat covers for it or something.
Anyway - once again, hope everyone feels better. I'm headin' off to bed. Oyasumi.
As if the coffeehouse didn't have enough bad mojo floating around, I've got more to add. My step-mother is going to the hospital. She has trouble breathing and is oxygen dependent, but from the sounds of it, she couldn't breathe very well. Apparently, this happens every year, so my dad is used to it, but me and my brother aren't. He's supposed to start some kind of work tomorrow, he was worrying about that, and this isn't making it any easier for him.
So, I ask that you keep all of us in your thoughts, prayers, etc.
I had something special for whomever got the next cookie post, but it'll have to wait because of this mess.
*Alacar gives a to Mr. Stuff for post #3800, and then gives one to Mamelon, Buzz, 'Fox, Crimson, and Cecilia
Hey guys. Just wanted to let you know that Kevin(Cecilia) is feeling a little depressed right now. He's uneasy about his skill in Magic (I guarantee you he's a good player), and he's feeling a little unwelcome in the Coffeehouse these days. That just should not be. So please try to cheer the guy up, hm? Thanks.
Things are pretty messed up around here as well, so I'll spare the extra burden. It'll all be fine for me.
I wish those of you who are ill, in pain, just plain down, etc well wishes and better feelings. Seems this week isn't doing to well.
*Serves pink grapefruit tea to Umgenni Kemo* I'm not sure if anyone caught this or not yet.
Many heartfelt thanks to the RotW comments. It means a lot to be thought of and share a little more of myself with each of you. Bonus as well for sharing it with Crimmy.
(I can't believe he confessed that I can call him that on here too!)
I'm off to sleep, have a good morning/evening/night everyone.
Aww, I'm sorry that you have been feeling left out, Cecilia. You don't need to fret a bit, I know for a fact that tons of people in the 'House really like your presence here and hate to see when you are unhappy. Don't worry, I'm pretty sure people ignore me just as much as you, and probably a lot of the other people in the House also. You have absolutely no reason to be depressed. I really hope you get over it.
If I may, I do have advice that might get people to respond to you more. It seems like you do not put that much actual content into your posts. Most of them are just wishing everyone a good night or day or weekend and hugging people, which is by no means bad, but I think if you put more about either your life or responding to other people, you would get more responses. And I also recommend that you space out your posts more also. It is difficult to read when you stick 5 different topics into one paragraph.
Don't take the advice very hard, though, Cecilia. I'm just trying to hep you out and get people to respond to you more. I really respect you a lot, and I definitely love your presence here. Feel better Cecilia!! *hugs Cecilia*
Mom I have something important I need to tell you about. It is something which I have been dealing with for most of my life, and in the last few years has made my life hell. From you I have learned most of what has made me a good person. You have always showed me an open minded and accepting outlook on which to build myself on. For that I thank you. I really need that side of you for this however.
For my whole life I have been dealing with a condition called Gender Dysphoria. It wasn't until around the age of 24 that I actually started to piece together and understand it. This is a condition where all of the physical clues and external input (the way people treat me...because of those physical clues) contradict what I feel of myself inside. Gender Dysphoric people often express some very feminine (if born male) personality traits growing up but mostly build a male image of themselves to try and fit in...and as a result wind up very confused and emotionally broken. This last few years has been hell for me, where I have gone down a very destructive path trying to avoid the truth.
I am at a point now where I am starting to live my life as a woman. While scary it has ultimately given me a piece of mind I have never known before. Having someone accept me as a woman for one brief moment gives me a sense of self worth and value that far outstrips every moment of horrifying confusion and self loathing I have felt for the rest of my life.
For the positive impact you have had on my life I thank you greatly, and need you in my life with more of the same love and support I grew up with. I have avoided you (and the rest of my family) out of shame and fear. I have come to terms that family is not blood, but support. Those who stand behind you are your family, that said I have some very good family here. I still want you in my life and part of that support network. I love you so much and miss you dearly.

I don't know, I think it might just help if you respond to the things that the other regulars bring up. I think that when you make those posts that are mostly just wishing everyone a good night and whatnot, try to respond to someone else's recent posts. That will help you get involved more in the House and become less ignored. You'll be okay, Cecilia. Just hang in there and don't worry about it :).
EDIT: @Sakura: That letter is beautiful. I really hope that your mom accepts you, because you seem like a great person, and it shouldn't matter what your gender is. Congratulations on finding the courage to write that.
@Alacar: I'm not having too bad of a month, actually. It has been better than most months.
I just finished writing 6 papers in 4 hours. Yes, I'm aware that they all must suck, but I only wrote them because they're required to pass the class. I really wish I did those earlier though :gonk:. They were assigned at the beginning of the quarter. (And, Oh yeah, did I mention I found topics for all of them and "researched" in those four hours too?)
Cecelia: Thanks for the compliment you posted on here about half an hour after I got off. I'm sure only you and mamelon understood it though ;).
Kevin/Cecilia: I know exactly what you're going through. It's happened to me pretty much all of my time in the coffeehouse. It feels like you are being ignored or overlooked a lot of the time. Heck, recently I've kept thinking I've been somehow making my posts in invisible font or something. Don't let it get you down.
I tend not to let the small stuff like that bug me. Besides, even if we don't show it often, we're always here for you.
@buzz: yeah im pretty glad im not the only one that feels this way. I really thank your constructive input about my situation though and I just wanted to say thanks to you.
@alacar: thanks alacar you have also provided constructive input and im always happy when people do so.
@koolkoal: hehe your welcome! Anytime I enjoy providing constructive critism and i strongly suggest it for anyone that wants any kind of advice.
@sakura: i hope everything goes well for you and as always i wish you the best.
@strongbad: Thank you for providing constructive input about my situation in the coffeehouse as well. *hugs*
Have a goodnight everyone! *hugs and blows kisses*
Sorry I haven't been commenting much today, but I'll probably have more time tomorrow.

@shadowfox:I am very sorry about your hamster as well. Remind me when i took care of a catepillar when i was around 8 or 9 years old i cried when it died trying to morph into a butterfly..
I remember you telling me this story and my feeling like it was strangely significant and terrifying. It was at the very same moment when Lilly was talking about how she was worred about me because I'm already a young adult and haven't started any kind of physical or social transition process (younger is generally better). Then you said you had a caterpillar who died when you were little before it had a chance to become a butterfly. Maybe I'm being too sentimental, but I recall going to bed that night feeling very sad. Poor little caterpillar. It felt much too close to my own fears.
@Crimson and Dreia: It's about time to see you two as Regulars of the Week. Very nice presentation, Alacar. You two are adorable. By the way, I really liked those ceramic works.
@Sakura: As always, I wish you the best of luck in all that you do.

Aww! That's a terribly sad story, Kevin.. *huggles* Well I am sure that for every caterpillar that doesn't make it, there are two that become beautiful butterflies.
Thanks for the support for Kevin here. I know sometimes it's like the 'bigwigs' around the House seem to overshadow other posts, but remember--we all have the same space to post. No one is more important than anyone else in the House. Sure, I'm the Assistant, but that gives me no special privelege. Except the 'of the week' stuff and post #2--but that's because I volunteered. Omna and Arguas started the clan, and are our 'hosts', but they claim no extra rights.
For all those sick, please get better soon and return to us. For all those that are having issues in their life right now, I sincerely hope you feel better soon. For all those needing a laugh, know now that KCW tried to troll me early this morning. That's where the new addition in my sig comes from.
Hah! I get the feeling that some people might take that seriously, though, if they aren't in on the joke. I mis-parsed that at first, and read your sig and was like "huh, really?". Regardless, let me join you in offering a laugh to those who need it:

Sucks that everyone is having a bad time of things just as spring starts to roll around. Still, perhaps it's better for all the bad karma to get out of the way at once. Spring is a time for new beginnings - maybe all of the bad events that are occurring are in order to give everyone a clean karmic slate to work from.
Actually, that is what I like to think.

I'm making a kitty stew with chicken hearts and gizzards and bits of carrots and celerytops that so far they are okay with.

@sick or dying pets:  My munchkins turn 9 years old this coming Monday, and my boy kitty is dealing with a kidney problem...on top of that there has been a major recall of pet foods because they were also causing kidney problems and deaths...I wonder if that might have been the cause but for now it's a struggle to keep him fed properly as he must not have any dry cat food. I'm making a kitty stew with chicken hearts and gizzards and bits of carrots and celerytops that so far they are okay with.
