Last night I went out for a bit, we ate some nice Italian food and went for a beer or two with a friend of a friend from St. Thomas. It's a tropical paradise where a bottle of nice bourbon is about $6-8 and you can go out on a cruise for about $20. Thinking about stuff to do with matt...
Wow, I was just cleaning my room out and weirdly enough, I found an INQUEST Gamer magazine from January of 2000, and I was freaked out to see the ad for Battle Royale, cause I started playing around Mirrodin and I started reading it, and it's weird how much things have changed and how different the philosophy of Mtg is today as opposed to back then. Anyway....
I think the Idea of a Coffeehouse tournament is great, but if it were to be held, would it be on MODO or MWS?

@alacar: its okay don't worry about it. I think it was just mostly bad luck on my part because i couldn't draw a single white mana land to use my 3 vindicates i had in my hand. I am playing a 3 color deck so thats probably why but still i have savannahs and everything else in there. Oh well.
@snoop: I can't remember the exact list but i can try to come up with it to my best knowledge.
I dont know the rest of the sideboard besides the armageddons. I definetly should've playtested against the straight aggro decks some more like against angel stompy and faerie stompy because funkbrew the deck im playing with has a really bad matchup against them.
See you all soon! *hugs and blows kisses to everyone*

Hahaha...geddon brings back such awesome memories, I'm sorry to say. Thanks for posting the list, and hope your luck improves soon. I'm wondering if null rod ever gets used anymore against equipment weenies, it's been a while (2 years) since I played legacy.

heh.. heh i dont think its really that funny at all.Apparently i was have a big deal of badluck but that happens to everyone. i was pretty ticked off last night that i lost. I hate angel stompy to be honest. Eh i probably shouldn't of posted the list.
And don't let it get ya down, man. She was enjoying the sight of the decklist, not that you lost. I know you can build a deck that'll kick Angel Stompy in the face.
So.. my Didgeridoughnuts deck needs a hella ton of work.

awwwwwwwwwwww ceci *hugs* I'm sorry I didn't mean to make a crass comment about it. It is in fact a terrible matchup for you and I'm sure you did the very best you could under the circumstances. If it makes you feel any better I've lost to that sort of deck before during the finals playing MBA and the guy said, "bet you're going to side in 4 dystopias" and I didn't even own any dystopias, so he laghed in my face, collected his money, and walked out. Please don't feel like I'm being hard on you. heck, I can't even get MWS to work on my comp. :/

its okay don't worry about it starr. *hugs* Yeah that wasnt very nice of what he did im sorry too. I dont really mind that if its a terrible matchup for me in fact i was more mad at myself for not making the correct boarding choices and plays when i had the chance. Like i shouldve saced the windswept heath for a savannah but instead i fetched for a bayou and then i drew like a nantuko monastery, bayou, and a river boa. Well it isnt exactly that terrible of a matchup i did have 3 vindicates in my hand just didnt get a white mana to cast them or else i think i wouldve won game 1. Funkbrew also has pernicious deed, swords to plowshares(which i didnt draw any.), discard, extirpate, and i forgot to sideboard in my 2 diabolic edicts but i was really tired last night and should've waited today to play the match then i probably couldve won the match or at least a much better shot at it. I accept your apology though starr.
Hehe. I love the T-Rex driving a spaceship. So nonsensical.
So, I'm off work, and feeling much, much better. I think I'm recovered from my adventures on Wednesday. I spent a lot of time last night finishing my entry for the weekly contest and the requests in my shop. Now it's time to relax.
I'm up for PL games, if anybody wants to play. Otherwise, I'm just gonna chill and watch some Naajica Blitz Tactics. That show definitely needs a "PPM" count on it (pansu per minute).
That's a T-Rex flying an F-14 or something, if I'm not mistaken. Mr. Stuff! Do you not recognize that for the awesomeness of it that is Calvin and Hobbes?
Err... Now that I look again, I guess it is. What do you know.
Our newspapers don't carry Calvin + Hobbes, so I never got much chance to see it, although I have on occasion. Our newspaper's Sunday morning comics usually suck, in fact, and have gotten worse lately. They even took the color out of the middle section. The cheap weasels.
I'm watching more Najica. Why, I don't know - this is absolute drivel. It is keeping me entertained, though, if just with its sheer cheesecake-ness. I mean, heavens, do you really need to wear nothing but a one piece thong-type thing while you go on a secret mission to destroy the enemy base?
Anyway, I'm still up for a game if anybody wants to play.

That's probably because Calvin and Hobbes was finished years ago, although that doesn't necessarily mean that it couldn't be run in syndication. My local paper still carries Peanuts, despite the fact that it stopped running years ago.
Also, in answer to your question- YES. In fact, I haven't gone on a secret mission in more than a piece of floss and a smile in YEARS. (Yeah... let that image sink in nice and slow. PM me your therapy bills.)
But seriously, this episode, they're going to investigate a team of idol girls who may possibly be robots. I got to the part where they said "Our new song coming out next week is called Multi Vibration, go and buy it!", and I just about fell out of my chair laughing. The rest of the episode, it seems the only way to tell if they are robots is by a special mark located on their butt. Which means Najica goes out of her way to spill things on them, so they have to change their clothes and/or take a shower, whereupon she might be able to see their bums. And it's all filmed by a guy who apparently walks around with cameras strapped to his feet. What is wrong with this picture? It's like, so bad, it's good, or something. I can't stop laughing.
Edit: Episode over. Apparently, none of the girls were robots. It was their manager, who was secretly controlling them with her hypnotic voice powers. How many cliches can we fit in one show?
Eh, apparently that's what they're looking for. But I don't think that 47(99+1) should come out to 47 * 99 + 41. That's a 4653 + 47 if I've ever seen one.
Edit: I'm writing up a blog entry as we speak, and I'd like to toss this discussion out to the 'House:
If there was a 'reality button' which would tell you if the thought in your head was true or not, and if you had unlimited presses to find out if your beliefs were true... Would you press the button?

Interesting thought
It wouldn't matter to me, I'd prolly push it though
I'm confident enough in what i believe and would still believe it even if it was established to be false
(also not believing in an objective reality helps with saying yes to this, as I would take what the button said with a grain of salt)
Hi again coffee-folk, sorry i neglected you all, for like 3 days, I am, in fact still living, and quite well at that
I absolutely needed that day yesterday, i did absolutely nothing all day and it was wonderful

Sad part is, I'm gonna try to get Exalted Angels myself.
Good morning, Coffeeposters.
Woke up earlier than usual today to eat a cold breakfast. Figures.
Now I've got to submit some goodies for school. Whee!
Regular of the Week will probably come later today, actually.

Nothing 100% on a Coffeehouse tournament. Just a thought.
I'm up for a PCL game (and more importantly, a casual game to test my new deck) if anyone wants to play.

@snoop: I can't remember the exact list but i can try to come up with it to my best knowledge.
Here goes:
4 Exalted Angel
4 Swords to plowshares
3 Sword of fire and ice
4 Savannah Lions
4 Solitari Priest
2 Parallax Wave
2 Umezawa's jitte
4 Cataclysm
4 Silver knight
4 Mother of runes
4 Ancient Tomb
17 Plains
3 Armageddon

Ugh... Okay, are there any people big on mathematics that can answer this question for me?
"Using the distributive property, factor 47 * 99 + 47." I'm usually at least decent in math, but for the life of me I can't figure this one out.
My helpdesk should you need me.
Just factor out 47:
47(99 + 1) <---- The answer you're looking for.
47(100)
4700
