...I'm getting more than a little fed up with the lack of hot water in this apartment. Our heater seems to be the only one malfunctioning, and the fuses are all new and in working order, so we can't really figure out what the problem is. I'm thinking that (if this is even plausible) the cold water is turned up TOO cold and it's freezing the hot water before it goes to use, but I can't really tell. In any event, washing one's hair in the kitchen sink is neither fun nor practical.
If anyone's up for a PCL game within the next few hours, lemme know. I'm wanting to try out my deck in mono-green and see what the dealio is.
aww i hope you guys will get your heater fixed soon. I am really sorry about you guys don't have hot water. *hugs ethersphere* I might be up for a game later ethersphere but we will definetly play soon though no doubt considering i am going to play dragon quest 7 im at the tower of darkness my 2nd time going through the game hehe.
@shadowfox: congrats on your wins! *hugs*
*Hugs and blows kisses to everyone*
Cecilia teardrop edit: I will probably will do the Legacy of the week either later tonight or tommorrow or in a few.
Sigh, I am missing my Router...I want to be playing precon league.
To answer my own questions:
Sunny Side Up, so I can dip my toast (I actually prefer Soft Boiled when I have the egg cup and time). Hard Boiled, Omellete and Scrambled are also good. By the way, scrambled with sour cream mixed in is really good. I like eggs.
I prefer brown toast. I love multigrain breads, but do not like them as toast as much. I like it dark usually.
Bacon. While I like Sausage, they usually make me sick to the stomach. I do not eat much meat anymore. Most bacon is gross too, but I have better luck with it. Cheese sounds like a good idea. Slab of ham sounds much better.
I don't really like potato dishes with my breakfast...they are bland without ketchup...which is all Sugar. MMMM, Sugar and grease and starch. Getting enough from the rest of the breakfast, no need loading more on me.
Sometimes I get a craving for bacon and eggs, but generally I prefer some fruit or a bagel or yogurt.
Today was one of those bacon and egg cravings so thought Id ask.
1) Scrambled with some pepper.
2) White. Also, it has to be French bread with syrup and powdered sugar.
3) Lightly toasted.
4) Bacon, but I really don't like either too much. Bad for yer health.
5) Both.
If anyone's up for a PCL game within the next few hours, lemme know. I'm wanting to try out my deck in mono-green and see what the dealio is.
I am up for a game!
Today was good.. I built a new deck idea and I'm gonna post on my blog about it after I get the extra cards in and do some prelim testing on MWS. It's based around Didgeridoo and Conspiracy.
2) White. Also, it has to be French bread with syrup and powdered sugar.
Two eggs. About 1 cup of milk. Cinnamon. About two teaspoons of vanilla extract. Whisk gently but thoroughly. Coat each side of a Texas toast slices lightly but fully.
Makes kick-ass french toast!
Drat...I've just revealed my secret ingredient....
They have a contest at the caf here at work. You fill your name and cube number in and put it in a box for a draw (pretty standard so far) for a chance to win a scratch and win lottery ticket (read that a few times if it doesnt't sink in)
So I enter a random draw for a chance to win a possibility of winning a prize. A lottery to win the right to play in a lottery. Sigh......
There must be crack in the cooking grease or something.
I can probably do the legacy of the week right now actually. Here it goes.
Time for Legacy of the week!
People are wondering what is my take on threshold well here it is. Threshold has been a dominating deck in many different legacy metagames for almost 2 years. This archetype has top 8 or better in many big legacy events so far. Without further do this is my list that i use to play with and its pretty similar to any modern day build except without mental notes.
Accumulated Knowledge: Ive always liked this card draw alot especially with other general card draw like brainstorms this card has had excellent synergy with other blue cantrips in my playtesting. This card also makes the mid to long term game better for threshold in my opinion as well. Drawing more answers and threats to anything that opponent plays is often a good thing.
Serum Visions: Since threshold is run on about 17-18 lands per deck its good to have single casting cost utility card draw such as serum visions and brainstorms to increase your chances of drawing lands when needed to cast spells. Plus this card and other blue draw utility card in this deck fills up your threshold in a timely fashion so you can start your majory beatings early in the game before you opponent can do anything.
Brainstorm: The best utility blue card draw in the game and this card has awesome synergy with fetchlands and i often like having both this blue draw and fetchland so i can get better quality of cards much earlier in matches.
Telling Time: Similar to brainstorm just not as good but I like it in the way that it can provide useful utility card draw early in the game.
Nimble Mongoose: This creature threat dodges swords to plowshares to lightning bolts which are two really popular utility cards in the format. Mongoose also can put a brutal clock on your opponent in a hurry and it can block goblin lackey and other most used critters in Legacy.
Werebear: Can also be a huge beater in the early part of the game and also can be a decent chump blocker when needed as well. I also like the fact where it can create card advantage for you early in the game by adding a green to your mana pool to cast more werebears, gooses, and even can get a enforcer out on the 3rd turn.
Meddling Mage: A huge utility card stopper in the format. Gives you a big upperhand on alot of decks in the format if used properly. Also can really stop combo and provides as a 2/2 clock creature as well which is a good deal.
Mystic Enforcer: Another brutal and huge beater in this deck and can put away your opponent in the first couple of turns if not stopped by your opponent.
Daze: This counterspell is definetly a tempo advantage card and I find it sometimes to be even more useful then force of will on a number of occasions in the first couple of turns in any matchup. Probably because you can cast this countermagic for free just like force of will.
Counterspell:A very solid counterspell obviously.
Force of will: Another very good counterspell and its alternate casting cost of it being a free cost counterspell makes it a truely deadly card in the format.
Stifle: One of the best uility blue cards in the format. This tempo and card advantage card can counter wastelands and interrupt your opponent to fetch a land with a fetchland. Also can be a big time card against storm combo decks like solidarity and iggy pop. Plus this card can stop goblin ringleader's evil ability to gain massive goblin card advantage on you from any goblin player.
Swords to plowshares: The best creature removal in the format hands down any questions?
Flooded Strand: Ability to stabilize your manabase in the early part of the game by fetching a tundra, tropical island, plains, or island. Also it adds to threshold. Also strand thins out your deck so you will have a better chance to draw the cards you need to win any match especially combined with all of the blue draw in this deck.
Windswept Heath: Pretty much the same as Flooded Strand except you can stabilize your manabase just as good by fetching tropical islands, tundras, plains, and forest.
Basic Lands: Mainly for to add mana to your manapool of course and also dodges any non-basic land hate in the format like wasteland and back to basics.
Sideboard Card Choices:
Tivadar's Crusade: After seeing 3 goblin decks top 8 at the last mana leak open this card can save you in any goblin matchup you will face while providing a constant clock on the goblin player with threats.
Engineered Explosives: Provides an alternative creature removal besides countering or swords to plowshares just about any creature threat that your opponent plays. I also like this card alot since it destroys jotun grunt which can rule over threshold and has its uses in the thresh mirror. Also can clear alot of aggro strategies as well and can do a number on enchantress too.
Tormod's Crypt: Another very useful card in the mirror and also can be highly useful against any deck that gains huge amount of card advantage from the graveyard.
Naturalize: Provides instant enchantment/artifact removal obviously and becomes highly useful since naturalize takes out pithing needles that aim for either my fetchlands or engineered explosives during games 2 and 3. Also can remove aether vial when playing against goblins which can also be a good play to make.
Disenchant: Same as naturalize pretty much but I like having a different color utlity card that does the exact same thing as naturalize because of all of the non-basic land/general land hate that is out there in the legacy metagame.
Well I hope you all had a great read. Stay tuned until next week for another legacy deck!
See you all soon! *hugs and blows kisses to everyone*
The only word I've ever come up with to describe Dean Martin's voice is "dreamy." It's natural, deep and smooth like honey, warm and inviting to listen to, and every song he sings is made entirely his own. He's the kind of person who sings sifferently when he's smiling - you can just tell. I'm always happy to listen to Dean sing for hours =)
Wow, a lot of Deano fans in the House. That's awesome. My mom is totally nuts over the guy. I think he's one of the great all-time performers. He sang, danced (a little), acted, wrote, and was a great guy (albeit a bit conservative). Not at all the drinker people set him out to be--the rest of the Rat Pack was worse than he when it came to alcohol.
Bad news guys- the pain shifted to BOTH hips and am experiencing a sharp burning pain every so often even after i took the muscle relaxant... So yea, i'm heading to the hospital to get an MRI done and all that crap. Wish me luck, if you believe in prayers/sending good thoughts, I would appreciate them.

Probably next week either next friday or saturday. I just wanted to show my version of threshold first before i do so but for sure next week ill write an article about your fish deck Sakura with your exact build and everything. Im glad you guys like my articles it makes me feel pretty happy.
Well see you all soon! I am going to get off the computer for awhile play some video games and probably get something to eat and get ready for work tommorrow but not yet anyway hehe. Have a great weekend everyone! *hugs and blows kisses to everyone*

Cecilia's Crest Magic Edit: By the way this is your fish deck right Sakura?
Anyway, y'all, I'm off. See you all later, and have fun.
@Mr. Stuff: You sure go through a lot of anime.
You're tellin' me. I'm gone for 2 days, and I come back to only an extra 60 or so posts? What gives?
I'm so tired, I question my mental state right now, so I'll refrain from posting anything long. I'll just say that 1) Yes, I really do go through a lot of anime, although most of what we watched was just the first one or two episodes of things (I listed episode numbers on the end there), and 2) sounds like Omna is having some kind of back problem, which is unfortunate. Best wishes go out to ya. Oh, and lest I forget, 3) Get better soon, Snoop.
I have entirely not enough sleep (got back home at 11:30pm last night, got up at 6:45am for 8 hours of work - and had 3 hours of sleep prior), so I think I'll get something to eat and step out for a while. I will be around and probably a lot more coherent tomorrow, when I go into the parents' work and have access to broadband. Thank goodness tomorrow's a day off.
Yes, that is it. If you dig back a bit there is an old analysis of the previous version I did somewhere in the coffeehouse.
Nah its okay ill just come up with my own for deck analysis and just write an article about it from scratch. I apologize though but It takes some time and I am rather pretty busy nowadays with work to look back and i'd rather come up with my own analysis about the deck.
Well, you have played it more than me...so I am sure you can analyze the heck out of it. I had planned originally of doing an analysis of it until you said you wanted to do something with it.
A dreamlike softness Played against eyelids drawn Fine sculpted shapes And a crips warmth of early dawn To feel these shapes Of which I feel deep within As with my own hands Carressing my gentle skin Reality displays my curse Of this lonely unwanted shape And I run into dreams To make good my desperate escape

No that is ok Kevin. Im swamped lately as is. I can answer questions you might have about it though.
Okay cool, yeah i know you have been rather swamped with your personal life and everything else by the way i am glad everything is becoming brighter for you and just so you know sakura ill be here for you as well. Sure ill be sure to ask you questions about your deck later if i have any which I might.
Hey all. I just posted the first designs for Copper, set 1 of my next block (Copper, Silver, & Gold; a reference to World of Warcraft), in my blog. Comments are welcome.
So apparently M_E likes obscure card ideas for FCC Challenges. This is easier then last round, but it's harder then round one. There is quite a bit of design space for cards with "precombat main phase" in it and I hope I use some of my ideas correctly.
Without further ado, here is my card for this round's challenge.

1) How do you like your eggs?
Scrambled.
2) White or brown toast?
White.
3) Litely toasted or dark?
Lighty toasted and buttered.
4) Bacon or Sausage?
Sauage links, usually. Bacon on occasion.
5) Homefries or Hashbrowns?
I'll take either.
That recipie for homefries sounds super-tasty!
And hash browns are basically shredded potatoes in a heap, fired until they're crispy and golden brown.
Looks like a fun deck, 'Fox. We forgot all about Sunforger and all the nifty new goodies available to it.

I don't typically eat just eggs by themselves, but burnt. Like, fried until they're totally scorched.

Wheat?
3) Litely toasted or dark?
Lighty toasted and buttered.
4) Bacon or Sausage?
Vegetarian. But I like the veggie sausage better than the bacon.
