@shin: Yeah i totally agree with you. Legacy used to be alot more diverse then what it is now. Actually come to think of it at the 2006 Legacy championships about half of the metagame there had more then 9 archetypes competiting for the full playset of the original dual lands. Your welcome shin if i didnt have the exaled angel out you probably could've won in about 3 or 4 turns or at least have a good shot anyway. You should think about putting anger in your deck you have the survival discard outlet/tutor anyway and you can fetch it with living wish as well.
Also shin you might also want to look into putting genesis in your deck as well. It might not be needed but it could possibly be worth testing since it adds more stability and efficiency to your survival geddon deck. These are just some thoughts though.
@omna: hello how are you omna? Best wishes to you!
@Mamelon: waves to mamelon good to see your doing very well mamelon. *hugs*
Well ill post later tonight sometime. Best wishes to everyone and take care! See you all soon! *hugs and blows kisses to everyone*
Im working on a chapter outline for the aforementioned "mush" class, and to be honest, I dont care about Eisenhower, so Im just trying to BS through it best I can.
Yay! I finally made it home, through all that nasty, nasty weather. We've seriously gotten at least three inches in three hours down here, and it shows no signs of stopping. The roads are in that condition which, well... You find the road by the indentation it makes in the snow, basically. Cripes. I drove 30mph or under the entire 25 mile drive home. But now I'm here, safe and sound, and I just changed out my work clothes for my warm pajamas, so I'm ready to relax.
I brought Dokuro-chan home with me - the whole reason I stayed in town was so that it could finish downloading - and I have to say, L-M-A-O. I'd forgotten how hilarious this thing is. If you're over 16 or so you should see this thing, seriously. Club-to-death Angel Dokuro-chan. Pi-piru-piru-pi-piru-pi!
Dokuro-chan is an angel who came from the future. She began to live in Sakura-kun’s house. She looks quite young and has a glamorous body, but she is innocent and cute. However, every time something happens, she beats Sakura to death with “Excaliborg”, a special bat with thorns. But don’t worry. When she casts the spell, “Pipiru Piru Piru Pipiru Pi”, he comes back to life. This is how, a bloody heart-warming story of Dokuro-chan and Sakura-kun starts.
I obviously can't do that one as the AotW (or I so would) because of it's adult-ish content, so I'll have to come up with something else... Look for it in a few.
Mr Stuff: I need to add that to my ever-growing list of animes I need to watch...sounds hilarious. I would definitely enjoy all of that, even thought it seems short (from my understanding of that site you linked its only 4 eps?)
*takes hot cocoa from Evan* Thank you... I'm trying to focus on the article review thingie I need to do in the next hour before my meeting at 7pm... And then sometime today I need to, like I said before, flesh out my Lit Review thing... Ughhhh..... I was hoping to be able to clean my room a bit tonight.... not sure if that's going to be happening now....
EDIT: Read or Die! And check out the Anime of the Week archive on the second post.. that's a great place to start
EDIT 2: Congratulations, Evan on the 300th Post!!! for you!!
@Nemcon: Yeah, it's only 4 episodes - I think any more and your head would explode. Seriously, this is not for the faint-hearted. Most of the time you just sit there with you mouth hanging open going "W-T-F?". Well, actually, a cross between that and dying laughing.
I've actually really been trying to get into anime lately. Any suggestions guys?
Oh my. Here we go... again. Not that that's a bad thing - It's just happened so many times, it's funny.
Take a look at the past Anime of the Week, for starters. They're all indexed in the second post of this clan thread. Give me a genre that you like (do you like everything to be serious? Do you like a little comedy? Fantasy? Giant Robots? etc.) and I'll give you something to start with.
For just a beginner anime, I'd maybe start off with Cowboy Bebop, if you haven't seen it, Ghost in the Shell, or Ergo Proxy. Those are all pretty serious and action-packed.
Edit: Sarnathed by Omna, and with a good suggestion, too. R.O.D is another good one to start on.
Buzz: Not sure if you noticed, but we were talking about Twilight Princess, not Ocarina of Time. The TP Water Temple was annoyingly easy, once you figured out where to go.
Terrorist Story: I have to say, that's awesome. That's all I can say.
Class Work: I have some things I need to do for Philosophy, including my third reflection paper (easy) and some response to a chapter (not sure about this one) plus some reading. Boring. Some stuff to get started on for Intro to Education... Meh. And I have to go to Biology, too. Meh twice.
Dokuro-Chan: One I need to get, too. I'm TRYING to download FLCL, but for some reason, even though I have 30+ gigs free on my external, it won't download the 7gig anime.
Edit: Has anyone heard of this band, Coven 13? If so, any thoughts?
For those looking to experience anime, the question of the first one to get into is often something you yourself can answer. Many times the first anime you watch gives you an impression of "what anime is like," and sometimes people see an anime episode or movie on TV or at a friend's house, dislike it, and assume "I wouldn't like anime."
Ask yourself: what kinds of characters, stories, and styles do like in other mediums? What kinds of books, movies, comics, or games do you like? Do you prefer comedy? Romance or drama? Action? Fantasy and magic? Do you like lighthearted, relax-for-an-afternoon stuff, or something intense and sweeping?
The Read or Die movie is a great place to start for people who are fans of action-oriented shows with a lot of interesting dynamic, as well as a fun and interesting but easy to swallow cast.
Cowboy Bebop is probably a very good choice for beginners because it doesn't feel like a "typical" anime. It has a palatable artistics style, engaging characters, and a story that doesn't necssarily sweep the viewer off his or her feet with overpowering emotions.
The first anime I truly got into was Sailor Moon. Still a great show - campy, silly, but fun as all get out.
A decent idea is to look at anime others have reported as being fun or having been a favorite first anime. But don't get too wrapped up in hype - what is the most amazing show ever to one person might not be your cup of tea. Pick something that sounds like it'd be to your taste, but don't pick something simply for its apparent popularity.
Edit: FLCL is neat because it's very nutty, amusing, stylistic, and multidimensional. It's a bit crazy, so you'll have to watch it through a few times. However, despite this, it's surprisingly accessible and likable.

Heyyyy everybody! 9 people on, sure 'nuff, 6'ish is the Magic Hour for the Magic CoffeeHouse! I'm drooping off in sleep, but I just finished reading the article i need to review and write up stuff about...
After my meeting at 7, I'm gonna grab some food, a strawberry smoothie with an energy booster and head back over to my room and get crankin' on writing that journal entry... then again I could start it now.... Eh.... I dunno... gotta write up this stuff, THEN....
When I'm DONE with the journal writeup and the Executive Summary, I then need to look through and flesh out my Lit Review, reading the example I have, and try my damned hardest to do a good job.... Gotta find better souces, cite them, and such.... blahhhh ... I don't know why I have such a hard time focusing on this kind of thing....
Oolong has a very complex and delectable flavor that I don't taste often. It's really hard for me to pick a tea that is my favorite, though, since they all have so many good things going for them.
I can't find it anywhere in Belleville, and keep forgetting to look for it when I am out of town. :-(
Mam loves me right...send me Oolong maybe? :-P

I'm soooo tired...... I don't know why.... I shouldn't be... ahh.. I'm gonna go to my meeting.. hopefully I'll be more awake afterwards so that I can focus fully on my work.....
Here's to hopin'..

But seriously. Danica, FLCL stands for Fooly Cooly, a brief but explosive and vibrant anime with a very strange and amusing story. One of my favorites.

Omna: FLCL is short for Fooly Cooly, or Furi Kuri in Japanese. It is a 6 episode anime that involves a boy named Naota dealing with life...and an alien girl on a yellow motorbike that enjoys hitting him with guitars to pull robots out of his head. Very Hilarious.
As for animes, heres a brief list off the top of my head that i enjoy:
FLCL
Cowboy Bebop
Ghost in the Shell:Stand Alone Complex
Full Metal Panic
Azumanga Daioh
EDIT: No problem, Evan! and what precisely is FLCL???
*Mr. Stuff dies of shock*
Wow, I thought everyone knew that one. FLCL, also know as Fooly Cooly. It ran on Cartoon Network for like, ever, and is probably THE best 6-episode anime out there. It's right up there with Bebop and Trigun in terms of classicness.
I wish I could join in this anime discussion, but the only animes I have any knowledge of are Pokemon and DBZ. :/
Anyways, for those that are interested, I talked to my girlfriend today, and we discussed the issues we've been having. She was willing to compromise a lot of our problems. She said she's doesn't mind me spending time with my friends, and she'll try to be more lenient.
First of all you guys all suck for making me read 7 pages when I got home from school.
I have to fix the play I'm writing. I got home around 6:30, and had Taco Bell. So you guys should read my blog and comment. Its cold as balls outside btw. Today marks two weeks until planar chaos is legal. I wish my thing on torrent would finish already because its slowing down my computer like crazy.
I need to put up all of my planar chaos on my trade thread because I want a lot of cards for my t2 deck which I need badly.
@Mr.Stuff Congratulations on RoTW
@Person who didn't know about "love"- It came out before december. It's songs remixed by George Martin, pretty sick especially if you're a beatles fan.
Series: Karin
Genre: Comedy - Romance
Episodes: 24
Trailer: Here
Manga: Chibi Vampire
Karin Maaka (Marker) would be just your average, everyday highschool student... if she weren't a vampire. But Karin's not just any vampire - She's a bit of a mix-up. Whereas her brother, sister, and both her parents suck blood like normal vampires, Karin produces blood. She bites people not to drink, but to get rid of her excess blood. When she can't, or when her blood increases suddenly, she gets one *humongous* nosebleed. As Karin says, hazukashii (it's embarassing).
Karin is the only one in her family who can go out in the daylight - when she comes home, her mother will thwack her with a shoe for doing things like turning on the lights or using garlic in food. At school, Karin begins to fall in love with a boy named Usuii Kenta. The only problem is, Kenta doesn't know she and the rest of her family are vampires. The next thing you know, a vampire hunter shows up as a transfer student, comedic love triangles start appearing, and Karin ends up working at the same part-time job as Kenta. It's a romantic comedy with a unique twist.
What makes Karin good? The romance is above-par, but the comedy is what makes this series shine. There are so many great characters (especially the clueless American vampire hunter), and the series just has a light-hearted feel in general, despite being about vampires. Definitely worth a watch if you enjoy romantic comedies.
While girls want there "me" time, they also respect a guy who will stand up for himself. It ultimately makes the difference between "casual bf" and "longterm bf" many times. Too many guys just shrug off everything at their gf's wishes and whim. This is a bad idea for you, your friends, and her. While it is true some girls are more narrow minded and greedy, it is better to know this and walk away than to be stuck as a wishy washy floor mat who is eventually tossed aside.
BTW, when I say "girls" here, it is only in reference to Alpha's issues. Men are often the same.
Another way to look at it. You likely have been close to your friends for alot longer than you have been dating this girl. You also have no idea how long this relationship will last. It is a bad idea to put your friends and life on hold completely for someone you barely know and likely wont be in you life that long anyways. Most relationships (especially among teens) are not very long.
New thread...
I'm getting a computer in my room!

I have to read the narrative of Frederick Douglass. It's interesting to see what he went through as a slave, but holy mumba wurm is this book dull.
