Wow... no posts from me in a while and I read back a bit and I feel like I came back to the middle of a Mensa convention. I'll reply to what I have words for as seen fit.
@Schaudenfruede: I'm really glad this was brought up in at least a very small way. I was gonna make a whole blog post about it until I got invited to a friend's house earlier today and totally forgot about it. Maybe I'll use it as a future post topic.

@ Mamelon: I think "saucy diva" is an excellent way to describe me, and I may need to start using it.
Though, if I'm a diva, I won't be able to break through your windows.
A self-proclaimed diva once told me, "Oh we can break stuff - just not our nails."

@ German: If I recall correctly, Photon talked about his family Americanizing themselves. My family is German as well, and the first generation to come to America instantly changed their name to be more American. I believe it was my great grandfather or his father. (I'm not really sure because my grandfather disowned us before I was even born. But that's a different story!) But anyway, I'm not sure this is the same as Photon's family, but for my family they moved at a very rough time when a Czar was forcing him into war. From what I know, he said it was such a horrible scenario they left, they wanted to forget it and start new as Americans. I think that's incredibly harsh, but I honestly can't say much with not being around back then. I'm sure each family has their own rhyme or reason to what they do and how they go about it. I would love to learn to speak more of the German language. It'd be great to be close to my heritage, but it would also help me decipher when my great uncle and grandpa (on the other side) argue. They argue over things like who the Pastor of their church was in 1964 and get so built up that they switch to German without knowing it. Also, there's a German student in my Microeconomics class and it's thrilling to hear stories from her. I love new people and like things that are much different than my normal.
Now that's an interesting story I've never heard before! Thoroughly enjoyed!
Oh and new sig and banner! I seriously hope one or two pick up on the joke. And it's not just in the custom tag.
Hey everyone. Just stopping in before I go to bed. I hope everyone had a good weekend today. I went to my friends house and we got a lot of flavor work on our set done. Hopefully, we will be done with it within the next few months. That will be a nice accomplishment. Well anyway, I don't really have the desire to respond to anything posted today, so I'm just going to end the post here. Good night everyone!!
I learn German. I have learned it for three years and I have another two ahead of me. It's a wonderful language. I like it more than Japanese.
Speaking of learning, I go back to school tommorrow. We just get our new classes, timetables and so forth. It'll be good. We finish at 2:30 instead of 3:30, too.
I resumed my testing for PTQ Yokohama today. Looks like the stuff I need will cost around $200.
I might get my friend to buy the stuff online and i'll pay him. My parents won't let me buy online.
Good morning everyone! Its currently 5:20am right now and I am going to eat breakfast and get ready to go to volunteer work at the hospital. I will be back later this evening though. See you all then! Take care and I wish everyone to have a great day today! *blows kisses and hugs everyone*
Thank you both Tautha and UK. I do hope I feel better becasue I really am starting to claw at the walls, I hate being sick.
Also I have developed quite a distaste for the impersonal-ness of this, so from now on, call me by my real name, Evan. It's just a lot more, nicer, that way.
Well hey there Tuatha! Nice to see you around the 'house.
Andrew Lloyd Webber? I'm not that big a fan of his, although he's responsible for the only musical theatre I've ever enjoyed - Jesus Christ Superstar. I'm not big on things like that ~_~;;
While we're on the subject of music, has anyone in the 'house heard of a group called Daughter Darling? Mamelon and I became interested in them after hearing a song of theirs in "Bones," and I've come to like them a lot.
Gosh, 5:20 am is such a inhuman hour to be awake at.
It certainly is when you have to go to work or school. It's not that bad when you've just partied all night and know that you can just sleep through the next day.

Welcome to the 'House
@ KevinLiu:
Take care, have a good day!
@ Sephiroth:
You get excited when the Banned & Suspended thread is posted in?
@ Evan (If I may?) & Tanthalas:
I hope you gentlemen will get well again soon.

@ The Mortal Wombat situation:
I'm truly sorry to see that he got himself banned
@ The German language:
I love the German language. If ever you wanted to shout at someone or something, German is certainly the language to do it in
- J.
P.S.: I don't know if this has ever been posted here, but it certainly deserves to be.
I'm sad to see someone banned no matter what (except for a certain ex-celebrity on this site), but Wombat...just didn't know how to cool it. He offended me greatly on many occasions, and because I'm kind of laid back I let it go, but seeing some of the situations he got into in other areas of the site...it's a shame.
heh, sometimes it's the funniest thread alive. But sometimes it's just inevitable tragedy that people get banned from an Internet magic forum.
@cecilia: Here's a question. When you hug and/or blow kisses to everyone in the coffeehouse, how exactly do you manage to do it? My calculations show that:
Given the Coffeehouse has ~20 regular members and 10 weekly posters,
Given that it takes about 40 seconds to blow someone a kiss and 1 minute to give someone a hug,
Assuming that you hug and/or blow kisses to each one of us one by one,
You post 1.7 posts per day in here on average,
It stands to reason that either a)
You spend between 34 mins (hugs only) and close to an hour (hugs + blow kisses) in the Coffeehouse making your farewells every day;
or b) you hug and kiss EVERYONE at once on your departure, saving countless hours a week. But to hug EVERYONE (approx 30 people) at once means you would have to have an armspan of about 14 meters, assuming an average Coffeegoer waist circumference of 72.8 cm and assuming we are tightly packed in a circle, with the center entirely filled.
Remarkable, indeed.
I'll leave the practical physics of blowing kisses to a large group at once, to someone with more calculation skills and imagination.

Snoop that is by far the most interesting use of time-based physics I have ever seen. I tend to think of it as if Cecilia just just blowing one large kiss to the crowd, like an actor on stage. And a large group hug doth not require long arms, just a group.
And I quite like Andrew Lloyd Webber; I enjoyed both Evita and The Phantom of the Opera immensely; I liked Jesus Christ Superstar a little less, maybe just because the story wasn't as interesting.
Is anyone else amused by this? "Sure, the death of Jesus Christ is interesting I guess, but I prefer the one about the 2-bit opera singer and her stalker."
Because I'm obviously a LuPone fanboy. Her and Bernadette Peters.
You don't say?
I'm a fan of Andrew Lloyd Webber in general. Actually, I should say I'm more of a fan of Tim Rice since it's really the story the lyrics of the songs create that is always good. The music itself is generally good, but not amazing. I'll tell ya though, Glen Close signing "With One Look" is one of the most amazing performances I've ever seen and that wasn't even on stage.

Also, I'd like a mint chocolate chunk frappuccino with a slice of angel food cake on the side please
That sounds so good right now. MMMMMMMMM mint coffee and cake.
Personally I don't really care for musicals as much as I do dramas. To me it just seems that the dramas show the emotion and mental aspect of a story much better than a musical because there is no worry about whether the second number of the first act will sound good. Also it just seems like the dramas are better stories in general. Anyyyyyway I hope I'm better in time for Evil Dead, which I am seeing on Thursday. Has anyone here seen it?
I would like to point out that there are dramatic musicals, and am obliged to dredge up Sweeney Todd as my favourite example.
There's comedy, but it's as black as...as black as...something.
And the songs actually highten the dramatic effect nicely.
Though, of course, I enjoy songless drama as well.
I haven't even seen Sweeny Todd. I was just going from my personal experiences where the songless dramas were better than the musicals, generally speaking, Wicked and Spamalot were absolutely amazing. My whole family raved about Hairspray, I didn't really care for it. But yes I did not mean to generalize
Me and my friend KB are performing that song for our talent show at school.
I'm mrs. Lovett, who is Patti LuPone's character, and, formerly, Angela Lansbury's.
Howdy everyone.... man, Snoop you sure know how to make me laugh... That was an incredible comment! I loved it:)
Dreia: I heartily agree with your comment about keeping in touch.. I would encourage those of you who thought kindly of MW to touch base with him through AIM or some other element
I'm so excited! My project is coming along much larger-scale than ever planned!
I need to consider a thesis statement for my Human Resources Management class, which is going to be interesting...
Anyway I need to get going.. art history class, and then I have an appointment to go to, which I need to gather up some papers for...
Also... dammit I forgot what I was going to say.
Oh well, I need to get going... change my shoes and get to class....

I hate being ill. And I am far too often...
In other news, I have a week off school, except about an hour today, because I have no exams this week.

She knows why.
Stephen Sondheim hasn't made a miss as far as I'm concerned, though. The man is brilliant.
And, yes, I did find that comment amusing.
You don't need physics when you have a kisszooka or a smoochgrenade.
