Wow... Now I feel like an idiot. Umgenni's right; I have my blog set on 'moderate comments', and I haven't paid any attention. Heh heh... *sweatdrop*
In other news, I just took almost three hours to catch up on my Philosophy reading. It's interesting to have a text be so personal... Then again, Philosophy is intensely personal.
And before that I played about two or three hours of Devil May Cry. WOW was that spider/scorpion boss annoying... It took me three game overs (with three revive stones per) to finally figure out his true weakness. Now I'm on the next chapter, dealing with that end boss. I hate it when the chapters are VERY long and, if you die, you start over. Waaaaah!
* Umgenni Kemo serves blue a cup of hot cocoa and a pack of milano cookies.
Enjoy!
Thanks! Dericious.
And that game is adorable! Thank you very much for the link. Also, it's got some music which actually isn't repulsive from the beginning! Quite an achievemnt for such a game. (Though I wonder how long does it actually take to make somebody sick of it.)
Your score is really impressive... How long have you played it?
Zirilan sent me the link a few weeks ago and I played it only to compete with him (shhh cuz he thinks I just did it for fun.)
Had to beat his score of 2 million. It takes some patience and getting used to so about 10 minutes (after the inital warmup of 10 minutes then another 10 to get that score)
TRANSFORMERS OMG! indeed. I'm a huge fan of them too; I own all the comic books that came out in Poland (alas many didn't... so huge parts of the story are lost to me), together with quite a few toys.
Um, Kate Bush is as British as they come.
@ Japanese music: Apart from a few pieces from anime soundtracks, I only listened to X-Japan. I think them to be quite an awesome band, but somehow I don't listen much to them anymore.
I forgot Kate Bush on my list somehow...a classic fav for me.
If you like X-Japan, look for hide and/or Spread Beaver.
ZOMG!!! I totally forgot Ayumi Hamasaki as one of my all time favs on my list....I hope she forgives me, I'd be lost if she never returned to my dreams Ayu-chan!
I also finally found out what Mamelon means...freaky.
Please, do tell. I hadn't realized it meant anything at all... and I'm not even sure if Mams did. Knowing her, though, it probably does mean something.
"From French 'nipple'". Sorry mams, but It did make me chuckle.
Anyway, good morning, everyone. Ohayo gozaimasu! I'm feeling like working some more on my Guide to AMVs today, so I'll probably spend some time doing that.
Ohayo Gozaimasu roughly translates to "Good morning very much" (which of course doesn't make too much sense), but all that's going on is that the 'gozaimasu' just adds a polite emphasis to 'ohayo', which means "good morning". Pron: "Ohio go-za-ee-mas".
I believe God keeps all of us in check. God works in mysterious ways its pretty impossible to predict on what your future holds even if the outcome of the future seems like its going to happen. I may not be a great debater like mamelon but i like to be optimistic about everything I do as much as possible. That being said I still believe that I can go back to the x-ray program at another time and finish.
Its also very true that god in fact did create all of us in his image. I heard from somewhere that all of us use about 5 percent of our mind to do the things that we do on a daily basis. Its just unimaginable what we could do if we had control of our entire mind. I believe Albert Einstein used about 7-8 percent of his total mind or else he wouldnt come up with the theory of relatively which was basically created by god.
Interesting... We believe in a lot of the same things.
I too believe that we, as humans, are (or should be) capable of a lot more than what we are normally aware of, do or think. I believe that, if we put our minds to it, we can indeed make miracles happen, to paraphrase the quote in your signature.
The only difference between us in this, is that I don't 'believe' in any God
No it doesnt really make sense I shouldnt of type of what i did about brain power anyway so nevermind of what i said... I feel dumb talking about it in the first place..
Nonsense. I agree with Alacar, it's a widespread misconception. Not mentioning it would only create further misunderstandings
So. I haven't posted here in a while... I don't have an overwhelming desire to post, but I'm going to, because I need to in other words, if I don't, the conversation will get waaay away from me without my having contributed.
First; Brain stuff... I'm left handed and it was my impression that left handed people were actually better at communicating and creative talents? In any case, that's true for me and Arguas Arguas is definitely a lot more logically minded than I am, but almost all the lefties I know have some kind of artistic/creative bent. This includes my mom who is an artist by the way:) ( http://www.paulaspaintings.com )
This is kind of my dead week before everything starts crashing down on top of me... I think i kind of deserve a little bit of a break. Tonight a journal entry for Organizational Behavior is due, and Monday, a short paper (1-2 pages) is due for Human Resources Management, and at some point soon I need to revise/update my Literature Review and Justification for Artifact/Study, all for my Senior Thesis proposal... Also, a test is coming up soon (next week I think) for my Human Resources Management class, as is a term paper for that class, and a huge ass group project for Organizational Behavior. Then I think Monday, my final Journal entry for Organizational Behavior is due, which means, since its the final one we need to add some bull**** about our group dynamic (which is crap btw, the people in the group are enormously idiotic...and the one guy who knows what he's doing is kind of an ass sometimes...) and add a "executive summary" to it... bleh.
I'm going to write my journal entry tonight after class, and do a good job this time (hopefully).. and then tonight is No Voice Zone...
So essentially here's what my day is going to be like:
Working for the next half hour
1-2pm, go to Art History class
2-3pm, appointment with my advisor, where I will be discussing with her the fact that I haven't done any revising of my senior thesis proposal yet, and also which class I should take next quarter.
3-4pm, relax, maybe read the article I need to write the journal on, for Organizational Behavior, to get a good start...
4-6pm, Organizational Behavior class
6-6:30pm, go back to my room, check my mail, relax briefly
6:30-7:30, 8ishpm, Dinner and playing Magic with my friend Kevin, cuz he needs to give me back the decks he borrowed, so he said we can play a bit before he gives 'em back.
8-10pm, working on my journal entry
10-11pm, No Voice Zone
11-? - Reading and sleep, maybe talkin' to Ryan
SO yea... and so, I'm working right now, on a big project in the Research Library... I just emailed the Librarian at the main library on campus, to see if they may be interested in taking some of our older journals off our hands... then tomorrow, class was cancelled, so I'm just gonna work all day here... I should get a lot done in that case.. Maybe I can ask for the day off on Friday if I do that.. Cuz if I work straight through, starting at 10, going all the way until 4:30, that would give me 2 more hours than I usually have... then again, that'd just mean I'd make the same amount of money cuz I work for 2 hours on Fridays... Hmm...
anyway, life is good... I don't feel too enormously stressed right now... I can handle the work I have, I think.. Lets just hope it stays that way
I look forward to working tomorrow.. I really love my job, because it allows me to put that librarian skill to good use.. I love it I know I've mentioned this before, but its funny how I love being so organized in my job, but at the same time, in my room, or my schoolwork, it is an absolute mess
Anyway, I should get going, class is at 1, and its 12:45 now Take care, all
Sorry if I didn't comment more on what I planned to.. kind of got to rambling about my own escapades.. Nai, PM me your address, dammit.. how am I supposed to reward you with the 3000th post prize??
Also, how desperate are you people for a new thread?
AWWW. It gives me the impression of a miniature Omna. So cute.
I finally found my AMV guide (~page 60 on 40per, I think), but my computer ate the first new entry I put into it, so I got mad and left it again. Now I'm back, ready to try again. *goes off to work on it*
Also.. 'nipple'? LOL. Sorreh. That's rather humorous.
Gah I hate school. Always keeping me from the Coffeehouse
Strongbad: You're welcome I'll try to make a cool banner sometime for ya.
BuzzDX: That avvy is cute...just remember who made it
I've been out of the Coffeehouse discussion too much..
Grenadier: I need to catch that.. but first I plan on getting the Zelda cartoon, making an avatar/banner of it (;) ), and watching them all with my friends sometime this weekend if possible.
I'm out of classes.. finally.
Also, Yukora: I AM LOVING YOUR CAMPAIGN Playing Versel is fuuuun.
Yeah, this place can go by really fast if you stay away for a while. It's a blessing and a curse...but mostly a curse.
Well, Rogue Galaxy shall be mine tomorrow! I'm really excited. Not to mention I spied something at the game store that made me as giddy as a school girl...a used copy of Revelations: The Demon Slayer for GBC. This is a little-known spinoff of the MegaTen series that features more Dragon Quest-style gameplay and a plot set on primordial Earth during the reign of Archangels over man. I AM GOING TO OWN THAT CARTRIDGE.
Other than that...bleh. We got some bad news today. For further info, please to be checking the blog.
Yes it has been really active in here. I was actually debating last night. lol I can surprise myself sometimes but not always though.
@ninja pirate: hello I am doing pretty good today how about you?
I find the painting so adorable and yes it does remind me of miniature omna how cute!
@omna: i am actually left handed too omna. I can almost write with my right hand almost as good though.
@Ungenni: its great to see you again bro! how is your pharmacy schooling coming along? Been "schooling" any big exams lately?
@mamelon: goodluck with your job mamelon! I am also very sorry about what happened earlier about the mind/brain convo. Can you forgive me? *hugs*
I have decided to major in chemistry to get my bachelor's degree in chemistry then ill be working at a government. Also I am planning on getting a PHD in nuclear chemistry so i can become a proffessor.
Well I am going to go i have some chores i need to do around the house. See you all soon and take care everyone! Best wishes to everyone as well! *hugs and blows kisses to everyone*

Sounds fantastic, Cecilia! I'm sure you'll have no problem with it, what with the A- you got in that one college chem class.
Whee, posting in my blog's fun. How many of you actually read the ones you subscribe to regularly? I try to keep up with everyone's at least once at day.
Also, if you have a blog, and it's not in my network listed on my blog, let me know. I'll add you right away

You, debating? Not possible. Youre too sweet for that!
Call me Evan, Cecilia! Anywayyyy, I'm doing well, I had a good day. Just one of those days where nothing goes wrong.
Thats really cool that you're going for a PHD in nuclear chemistry so you can be a professor. I actually just appiled to GW, BU, BC, USC, SUNY Geneseo and Binghamton today. I want to major in Creative Writing and Secondary Education, I want to teach high school English. I just love books and stories and writing and it just seems to feel right.
I hope those chores go quickly. *hugs Cecilia back*
Revelations: Y'know, I have that game... And I really had trouble with it. You can never seem to tell where to go to advance the story, as far as I can remember. Cool monster-catching mechanic, though. I enjoyed combining summons into those super-summons that you could make. I should go back to it soon... I think I was getting to the super-hard bits.
But yes, I knew that. Somewhere in my brain.
EDIT: I am now playing the game.
I may seem nice, but that's only true about half the time. The other half I'm sarcastic and *****y.
I just don't post as often when I'm in those moods.
Umgenni, did you just change your avatar/sig/banner today? I didn't notice them before, so my apologies if you've had them a while.
Love it! That's one of my favorite Tori songs.

Still, if you want any feedback on your ideas and writings I will be glad to help.

Welcome to the 'House
I have to ask: Are you aware that you can work the links in your signature like this?
@ Nai:
Hmmm... Experimental percussion?
Hmmm... Perhaps 'harsh' was a bad choice of word, perhaps 'hard' would have been better.
I agree that it is a very rich language, I'm just not too sure about the creamy part
I wonder... Do you happen to know the German band Rammstein?
Also, good luck at your new job!

Are you known as 'Starr' these days? I think I may have missed something...
