Good luck, Omna! We know you've had a busy busy last few days and all. Looks like all this work is catching up to all the fun you had at the prerelease!
And...I GOT A JOB INTERVIEW! It's a job on campus with reasonable hours (10 hour work week). It's minimum wage but I am not complaining one itty bitty bit! It's in monographs.. so, I'm not 100% of what I'll be doing exactly but it seems right up my alley and fits my schedule fine and dandy
I am happy!!
And oh yeah.. a big shout out to my good friend Cecilia. *huggles*
Yeah.. I was CLOSE to printing Arc-Slogger, but I think I made a good balance. Red Sligh in Core Set is very good, but the main reason blue doesn't seem that way is because Academy's got good solid blue cards and I don't want them to overlap, but to compliment each other.
The deck to watch out for in Core Set Constructed? WBG Rock. It's awesome. And I suspect Captain Sisay will be leading Arguas and Omna to victory when we start playing Custom Standard tournaments around here.
MW, about my card: Sometimes simplicity can be more efficient, I think. We'll see come friday.
Well, sorry for my absense, but a bunch of problems with legal stuff as well as everything involving the bus incident and finals (which I just finished :D) sort of took up almost all of my time.Yukora: My Ex had mono about a little more then a year ago, and just from what she said I know that it sucks to have it, and I am also very lucky I didn't get it as well.
Mr. Stuff: Im not sure what really to say about the AMV guide, it is nice to know however, and the last videos really are amazingly well done.
Also...I am speechless (again) about this site having Blogs now, and debating whether or not I am to touch one...
I daresay, getting a blog here would be like finding a leak in your boat, and making an even larger one on the other side to match...soooo many ways to kill time it's not even funny.
I was quite shocked to see the title for the MTGcast today. What? People complaining about getting too many Damnations and Akromas? HOW CAN YOU HAVE TOO MANY OF A BROKEN, $20 CARD? Okay, rant aside, I understand the problem with running a limited tournament with too many broken rares of one type or color. But stilll........
Busy, busy winter. My body says "HIbernate" but my schedule says "GOGOGOGOGOGO". Not good. I would think that after so many years of dealing with this, I'd pick a profession that would let me sit on my laurels over the winter at least. Neeeed....sleeep.....
I can understand the objection: some rares are rare because if they show up too often in limited they skew the playing field. So pumping extra rares into the playing field messes with the balance of the format.
Personally, I'm thrilled. Though I enjoy limited very much I suck royally at it, so I really don't care if it gets out of whack. As a person who likes to collect the cards and not spend a lot of money doing it (I rarely spend more than 1-2 boxes worth of $ on a set and I've been absolutely mind-boggled by the amount of cards some people buy), I'm absolutely delighted at the prospect of 50% more rares and uncommons per box.

@mamelon: are you saying im not cheerful around people? I just love being in the hospital environment and dealing with patients even the really bad patients but I like to make other patients feel welcomed when they are around me. Ill talk to you later today though on aol messenger and have a good one. *hugs*
@nemcon: Well I will wish for the best between you and your girlfriend nemcon! Thats fine that you don't post here that much we understand but just remember your welcome here anytime! *hugs*
@snoop: well if you really want to get where you want to you have to make sacrifices in life. Like disrupting your comfort zones so to speak. I am sure you will do fine snoop just keep at it and I mean i dont really like getting up at 5:20am in the morning to go to clinicals or volunteer work but I do enjoy working in the hospital environment. Of course I usually run around all day at the hospital almost nonstop I get really tired but I just ignore it. Your situations will get better for you snoop! *hugs*
@alacar: huggles alacar back! aww thanks alacar! Your a really good friend as well. Well goodluck in the interview i am sure you will do really well just like mamelon!
@omna: I wish you the best omna and have a great day omna. Also remember you have a choice to be happy or not but I would always choose to be happy every morning when you get up from bed! See you later and goodluck in your academic education!
Well I am going to go for awhile. I will be on aol messenger and msn messenger if you guys want to talk to me. See you all soon. Take care everyone! *hugs and blows kisses to everyone*
I just finished taking my English Regent, what a tedious ***** that was. For those of you who dont know all high school students in NY are required to take these Regent Exams to make sure that we are capable to go to college, they are really easy and not meant for AP students but I have to take them anyway.
Hey folks... I finally finished getting distracted by FL... Now I'm going to really strive to work and finish as much as I can in the next couple hours......That means no more of me until much later tonight.. Cuz I still have an appt at 5, and I want to work until then, and then after the appointment I'm gonna get something to eat then I have a meeting at 7... that should last until around 8 i think... then doin' more work on this......
I recently ordered 3 boxes from eBay, but those were not Planar Chaos. They were Invasion, Torment, and Champions of Kamigawa. I guess I can't afford a couple of boxes of PC at the moment, but the time will come soon... In a month's time or so.
I liked Planar Chaos a lot more than I first thought I was going to. I didn't really like the layout of the Planeshifted cards, but I thought most of the set was cool enough.

Heh, I haven't got much in it yet. Just a report from my Planar Chaos prerelease.
Well, went to my math class today. It's to teach us how to teach kids how to do math. I decided to stick with my elementary teaching, which is, hey, fine with me, y'know? It looks like it'll be an interesting class. Seems like I'm the only boy in there, which is... Eh. It'll take getting used to, though I'm already used to being the only male in these teaching classes.
Oh, and free parking for students in the middle of downtown. AWESOME.
Mamelon: Good luck with your job. I'll get one now, too, now that I know when I'm going to class. I don't like the food service industry, though... People tend to be snotty to you.
Game of the Week: I'll have two this week (making up for lost time while I was gone, this should be make up week 2), and I'll get them done soon. One will be today or tomorrow, the other, the weekend.
Alacar's Job: Sounds awesome. I'd love to know what that job entails.
Magic: Unfortunately, every semester I have a job/class that happens precisely when FNM is scheduled at my local stores, so I never can get involved. Which really sucks, since my local store is about three blocks away now. *cry*
Heh, not a horrible presentation...very big changes to make, but overall it wasn't IMMEDIATELY apparent that I didn't prepare for it until last night.
And I am officially over the hill today. I got a birthday email with a kiss in it. He recorded a smooching sound and it opened while I was reading the email.

Agreed, my friend. He enjoys the clan's atmosphere, the wonderful camaraderie between us best.
He also confesses that the Tiramisu is his favorite House delicacy
When asked who he liked especially in the House, he singled out the following, whom I will quote verbatim:
"I admire Alacar for his ability to create and execute such a successful custom block project. He managed to create a project that people other than himself can enjoy and get excited about, which is not easy to do.

Happy birthday m'boy and congratulations on the rating. Im hopeful to get the Limited to above 1800 in a few months. It's camped in the 1750's right now and I have no time for FNM anymore :(.
Philsophical question of the week: Why do we believe in an "Out There" but not an "In There"?
@snoop: Yeah i could see doing that as well. However i didnt mean to be offensive or anything so sorry if i was. However I might just work at a truama level 2 hospital or something. I also don't know why you put all of those numbers by my name did i make you upset or something? Sorry if i did. Heh i just didn't think that was that pilote but i probably deserved it anyway since I am a loser.
Well, I think there's two reasons for that. One, I think Man is inherantly scared of his own lack of power, and that fear makes him think there's always something out there stronger than him. On the flipside, Man always wants to be the strongest, and if he's the biggest, he's already the strongest, and that doesn't sit well. We always want to be better than we are, and if we're big in a small universe, there's less room to grow.
@Alacar: OMG OMG OMG I've been looking for a Spam sketch MP3 for AGES!!!!! My longtime project was to make a flash animation using a bunch of sprites from Earthbound re-enacting the sketch (I planned on having the Runaway Five jumping in during the Spam chorus)... but I've since lost interest in flash making. Oh, and congratulations on Kraj's RotW. Heh heh.
@Shadowfox: It's all right to get a little obsessed over Zelda: TP. Good avvy and banner.
I need to do some work soon, so I'll be out for an hour or so.
Hey, everybody. My day was pretty alright, today. I submitted my notice at work (was kinda nervous about it), but it all went smoothly. I talked to the human resources manager, she was very understanding. I now have one week left of this job. o_O
I also finally got my package! It wasn't a big deal, but man, I hate waaaaiting all I do is waaait all day . . . *cries*
So, it's like weird, but I feel all lightheaded . . . maybe I'm sleep deprived . . .

All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the light that you see. All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the peace that you feel. All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to fill your heart on my own.

My helpdesk should you need me.
@kraj: congrats on the rotw!

As for me, back to work!! Gotta do stuff b4 10! B-day party for a friend today... also happy b-day to Alpha!!

Hey, everybody. My day was pretty alright, today. I submitted my notice at work (was kinda nervous about it), but it all went smoothly. I talked to the human resources manager, she was very understanding. I now have one week left of this job. o_O
I also finally got my package! It wasn't a big deal, but man, I hate waaaaiting all I do is waaait all day . . . *cries*
So, it's like weird, but I feel all lightheaded . . . maybe I'm sleep deprived . . .
Of course you are cheerful, you little nugget! I'm glad you enjoy working at the hospital, that means you are suited for the job.
That's quite deep, Cecilia. I, too, wish you well in your hectic times, Danica!
I sense some coreography . . .
@Alacar and Nai: Wow, everyone's getting all up an' employed! I pray you have good fortune.
Awww. I hope things get better for you soon.
@Kraj: Congratulations on being regular of the week!
I've noticed this. Not the beating the pants off part (it'd be close :p), but that you frequently offer insight into situations.
*flush* Me? Eloquent? P'shaw!
Heh, I'd say.
All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the peace that you feel.
All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to fill your heart on my own.
