@Game: Excellent, original Pokemon is full of win. I started a new game of Yellow Version just a couple days ago.
Mood: PISSED OFF. Why? Read the NFL thread. Needless to say I got uber pissed and punched a hole in the wall of my room and broke a chair. I'll pay for it, but I don't give a ****. I'd gladly pay $10,000 and destroy everything within my sight.
I've always liked Pokémon too, Joyd. I have fond memories of playing it, though I've only played up to Pokémon Silver. I got it once for Christmas, I think.
Did you have a favorite type of Pokémon? I always liked psychic-type ones, but after all was said and done I think the Pokémon that struck mas the coolst overall was Evee and all its various forms. I love how it gets to pick its own evolution.

But the rainbow is an image of hope for many reasons, as it is a brilliant sight coming out of oftimes dismal weather.
*hugs MW* Breathe... breathee..... Nothing ventured nothing gained.. I have NO idea what got you so upset and worked up but if its anything NFL related it certainly probably isn't that worth it... calm down.... If it is worth it, i apologize, but relaly, there's no need to punch things and destroy things......
And this is late- sorry I didn't say anything the last couple times i posted... but congratulations, heartily on the RotW, Starr!!! I can't thank you enough for the amount of things you've done for me, for us as a wonderful contributor....
As for me, I have a huge test to study for tomorrow, so i relaly should go do that..... Have a good night everybody!!

Word. That Pats/Bolts game just pissed me off in so many ways. So many ways that I'm willing to go back and say Buzz was probably right about those refs mistakes. Well they aren't really mistakes as much as me forgetting that the refs DO play favorites all the time. And especially in the playoffs.
Between that and the "preview" of Root of Evil I couldn't be more unhappy...
@Pokemon: It's good to see something I'm not pissed off at. Very good choice for a GotW. I like MOST of the Pokemon games out there (Snap I'm lookin at you) but there's always a fond spot for R/B/Y.
On a slightly different piece of information - one that might be better suited in another clan no less - anyone hear anything good about Rogue Galaxy? I know it's not out yet but me wants to get opinions from other people before I go and preorder.
@Yukora: You're dead to me now. Do not come close to me or speak to me.
@Favorite Pokemon: Right now, it's Charizard. It used to be Gyarados, however, since it destroyed stuff and was a Pokemon you didn't want to **** with.
Yeah, I went overboard with that stuff, but I don't care. I'm no stranger to going completely ape**** after sports games that don't go my way. Just ask my friends at my last two schools. I haven't done it in a while, though. I hope my parents don't find out because I know they'll think about pulling me out.
Hmmm, probably Water. After GS hit, I also adopted Steel as a favorite. A few favorites -
Shuppet and Banette (Yay Puppets!)
Skarmory (One of his cards has an ability called 'Key Claw', something I find more impressive-sounding than I ought to.)
Sharpedo
Octillery
Sandslash
Lapras
Eevee (and the guys it turns into)
Kabutops
Mantine
Lanturn
From the DP games, which I haven't played as they haven't been released in the U.S., I am attracted to Enperuto and Rotomu.
The spinoffs are not my favorite games, I have to tell you. Though I did have endless fun playing Pokemon Snap. The Stadium games are fun too, because they're just pokemon in 3d. But, as Joyd said, Pinball and such are just there, and don't really add to the value.
I wouldn't call the games my favorite games, but they definately rank up there with me, as I get the new ones each and every time.
Yellow Version: Loved it. I used to love watching the original Pokemon anime (y'know, the good one), and I liked following the storyline. Unfortunately, the battery supplying the save function was faulty, so I never got to keep my games. But it was fun!
Favorite Pokemon: Eevee was one of my favorite Pokemon, I have to admit. I also like Absol from the Ruby/Sapphire games. But just for plain type... Psychics were fun, but I think either Electric (for Pikachu, yes, I am a fan) or fire (for Charmander) were my favorites. Metal is my recent favorite, because of how it's almost invulnerable.
I also liked Sandslash, that one blue guy that's really popular from the newest game, and most of the ghost types. However, the Legendaries (especially Mewtwo) have to take the cake.
Rogue Galaxy: I've heard that's going to be absolutely awesome. I can't wait to try it. Other than that, I got nothing for you.
That's my friend you're talking to. He's done nothing wrong to you, so don't speak to him like that. If you're upset, it's not his fault. Chill out.
@ MW He is right, it is just a game. The coffeehouse exists for people to talk about their day, rant, rave and just be friendly. Of course you can talk about sports, and you can get angry at a team, but don't get angry at a fan because their a fan. I like you and Yukora so I'm not taking sides but seriously its just a game
Yeah it's a game... but ****ing really, enough is enough with their constant winning and the continual media sucking-up. If he was rooting for them because of his dislike for the other team or some other circumstance, that's fine. If he's one of those bandwagon fans, though, then I don't respect that. He'd still be my friend, though... I don't let something like that get in the way of friendship.
@Pokemon types: My favorite is either Psychic-type or Dark-type. They're just both really cool. If we include the two types made for GSC (Gold-Silver-Crystal) my favorite would be Dark. Too bad there aren't that many of them (Umbreon, Tyranitar, Houndour/Houndoom, and Murkrow are the only ones from GSC, and the ones from Ruby and Sapphire mean nothing to me because I never bought those games).
Due to the circumstances of the day, I feel like drinking to forget, and luckily I have found out about a party tonight.

@Yukora: Don't worry man, you're only half-dead to me.
Pokemon games are awsome!!!!
I played Ruby and I had a lv100 that could just slash anything and it died
Then I lent my gameboy to a friend then got an ipod and forgot about it...
I should realy get it back :/
PS. I just made a new avvy for myself its my first one do you like it?
@SquirrelWraith: Welcome to the coffeehouse and your always welcome to post here. Enjoy your stay here as well. Yes i like your avatar its pretty neat and an excellent job on your avy. *claps* Have a great night squirrelwraith!
@MW: Have fun at the party and remember don't drink too much! See you soon MW and take care also goodluck in college as well!

Heya Coffeehouse. Sorry I wasn't here all day; apparently Sunday is now he no-computer day in my family. Luckily, my dad was nice and let me get on for a bit right now.
@MW: Well you have to admit, it was a good game. And I was not cheering for anyone really, because I don't really care about football. Seriously, though, you probably need to chill out just a little bit. I understand being mad when your team loses, because I'm a hardcore Yankees fan, but yelling at people who did nothing wrong is going a little over the top. Hopefully you can get over it quick, because none of us like seeing you this way.
@Nai: Niiiiice!!!! I love Pokemon! I actually only played Pokemon Blue on the Gameboy, but it was practically the same game. Yeah, I miss those times...
@SquirellWraith: Welcome!!
@Cecilia: Good luck with your studies. I hope you do well at whatever you are studying for.
@Alacar: I don't know if you saw, but they reprinted Prodigal Sorcerer in red. Are you happy or sad about that?
Anyway, I'm going to bed, because I am really tired (stupid church at 9:00AM... And yes that is early for me), so I'll see you guys tomorrow.
Okay, for anyone that hasn't seen it yet... Go look at the new VG Cats. Then tell me: Can you, from memory, name where every single one of those lines comes from? I mean speaker and level. So far, I am only lacking on one of them.
@Alacar: I don't know if you saw, but they reprinted Prodigal Sorcerer in red. Are you happy or sad about that?
I knew it was coming. They've already made Vulshok Sorcerer. Can't surprise me much more than that. Still, it's yet another pinger to add to my collection... and hey! There's like.. 5 pingers in Standard right now. Or at least 5 I can think of.
I'm really excited about PC and hope I can make it to the PR on Sunday. Saturday would be better but i can only get a ride for Sunday. Hot Damn...instant 1cc Lobotomy makes me happy in my pajama pants.
i think I'll focus on black when I'm trading or drafting.
Wow, I'm really pumped for Planar Chaos. I wanna open an extripicate so badly at the pre-release. The card is going to go great in extended, stopping those annoying LFTL engines and such.
Also, I really want to break Chronozoa, but I don't know how...
I have indeed been away for a while. How has everyone been? I see you are all looking as healthy as ever ( at least, I hope because I cant tell much from avatars). Just stopped in to say hello! As for Pokemon ( I love talking Pokemon), I played the video games for a while, but I was great at the card game. I played in 2 World Championships and a Nationals event. My favorite pokemon is Scyther's evolved form, Scizor. That pokemon was a beast.
Right now, I am currently preparing my deck for this Friday's FNM Type 2 tourney. One of my friends in Japan that I met a while back at a big tourney created a deck that gave him the Top 8 in a Champs event. The deck is absolutely insane, using cards like Lightning Serpent and Avalanche Riders alongside Primal Forcemage ( this card is totally underrated with) and other hasted creatures. My team and I modified the deck so it now uses Suq'ata Lancers and 1 lone copy of Eron the Relentless and the amazing Lightning Angel. We metagamed our version due to the presence of Blood Moon and we only use basic lands alongside Search for Tomorrow. In testing, we have seen some absolutely amazing results, and in one game I swung in for 15, and used the lone copy of Stonewood Invocation that we maindeck. It seems to work well, and the mana seems to be fine the way it is. We are still considering going back to using some dual lands, but we also wanted to make it more affordable for the members of our team that dont have duals currently. The deck uses several one of's because we like them, and they are helpful when they need to be. We are considering adding Blinks to the deck since the deck does have blue-white in it, but we think it may take away too much from the deck. It is currently very fast, very very aggressive, and ends games quickly. Another thing that differs from the original list is Greater Gargadon ( which the original list did not include but we felt we could use). I am going to post the results of the FNM on Saturday ( as I will not attend the pre-release because I am already pre-ordering a case of PC and dont want to see anymore of the cards ( besides the ones already spoiled) before I recieve them).
Now, so far, are you all excited or slightly dissapointed in PC? I am torn, and this is because I dont like how much they are trying to push aggro green, and black is just getting some absolutely nuts cards. I cant stand Magus of the Library mostly because of its double G casting cost ( which will hinder its playability even more), and the dragon cycle seems that it is going to be absolutely nuts in draft. Now, on the other hand, this is slated to be one of the best block constructed seasons I have ever played in, and I am quite excited about it. From the way they are making the cards, it seems that this block season will not be defined by one or 2 archetypes ( unlike Kamigawa Block and Mirrodin Block). There will most likely be a variety of archetypes that will shock and awe us, and I think the japanese are going to create 86% of those decks ( because they are amazing, and one of the japanese players I know actually said " I think that we are going to create about 86% of those decks"). Future Sight is where it is going to get interesting.
So this past weekend, I hung out with Micah ( you may know him as Blue here, affluent member of the gaymers) and we went to watch a Dreamblade 1K. Neil Reeves was there so we sat and chatted with him and some of our other friends and watched them backdraft ( Neil really is a limited master). I played in the FNM with "This Girl" ( the angel deck of course), and went 2-2, losing to a hella fast boros player and a cool guy named Tony who shocked the hell out of me when he traumatized and double glimpsed me in not just the first game, but also the second. Cool guy, and even though I was a little down since this was the first FNM in 3 months that I hadnt top 8'ed, I wasnt to unhappy because it was fun playing him ( whats sad is I was at 51 life in one game with Triple Serra Avenger on the board. Geez). I drafted 3 times, and I drafted Draining Whelk in 2 of those drafts ( which is great since I was playing blue in both of those drafts).
On a lighter note.....THE PATS WON!!!! WOOHOOO!.....but the Colts are ultimately better, IMO.
I'm just as pumped for PC as y'all are!! its gonna be SOOO much fun! And this will be the second time Arguas and I get to do a 2HG event together!! We learned a lot last time, so this will be interesting... we were planning to practice some more of this before we went into another one, but hey... it'll still be fun and a good experience regardless!
Anwyay back to studyin'.. i'm gonna finish this article then i'm goin to sleep for a few hours.. then gettin' up early to study more...
Pokemon, eh? Well, I used to play much (6-7 years ago), but it's very long since last time. I have 2 games, Blue and Gold, and my little brother also got Emerald for Christmas '05. I tried it once, but not more. I have no favorite, or favorite type at all.

One of the guys in my area plays that deck as well, with Primeval Forcemage, Avalanche Riders, and other creatures with haste like Lightning Serpent, and Pandemonium. But he hasn't preformed very well with it, it pretty much dies to any form of removal like Condemn, Wrath of God, Lightning Helix. Avalanche Riders and other land destruction spells are painful, but I usually board in Sacred Grounds when facing decks like that. But it might be quite different from what you're playing, could you enlighten us with a decklist?
I was disappointed by Planar Chaos, but I'm a little more happy about the set now. Chronozoa is so amazing that it on its own highens the total coolness factor of PC by a fair bit for me. I love that card. Brilliant! But all-in-all, I'm a little unhappy about the color blending, but I survived Mirrodin block, so I'll survive this as well
@MW: Suspended, eh? How? (Awaiting answer in 2 days)
@Pokémon: I also like Ralts and its various evolutionary forms. Emotion Pokémon? That's just cool and original.

This could be badly misinterpreted.
Thanks, Kevin. *hugs* See you later today.
@PC: I'm excited. Blue is looking cool so far, and some of the other colors are appealing to me more than they usually do.
Well, I'll see you goobers all this afternoon. Have a nice morning, y'all!

All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to fill your heart on my own.
