Photon & Snoop: That story and snoop's possible joke reminded me of something: Has anyone ever eaten at a buffalo wild wings chain restaurant? And eaten their hottest wings: Blazin'? Those give a feeling they're doing something bad to you... I've eaten them twice, the second time because I wasn't sure they caused it but now I am. I don't eat them anymore because I'm worried about how healthy they are :\.
Oh, and because I've gotten bored with magic lately, and for a while, I may be selling my collection of cards to a guy at my school for $200.

I'll bet you wish you had a non-unglued/unhinged card that shared your first name.
I'm sorry to hear about your medical woes, void. I hope it goes away as soon as possible. I know how random out-of-the-blue medical troubles can really ruin one's outlook, too. Since I was a kid I've had chronic migraines that usually leave me in a fetal position on the floor of some room or another, and I have TMJ that's slowly working away at my teeth. Not pleasant =)
Favorite book? The Last Unicorn. My adopted sister in California bought it for me for Christmas a year or two ago and I adored it. Of course, I'd seen the Rankin-Bass movie a million times, but the novel is so much better in every way.
Hey everyone. Just checking in. It's another cold day here, even worse than yesterday.
@void_nothing: Wow, that sounds horrible. Good luck to you, and I hope it doesn't actually last 7 months.
@Sene: Welcome. I've never seen you and you have probably never seen me, so hi, nice to meet you :D.
@Favorite Book: I don't know, there's so many. I like Lord of the Rings, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Series of Unfortunate Events, Harry Potter, the Redwall Series, the list goes on.
My favorite book is A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin. Amazing Story.
You see? I just can't see what's so great about it, but obviously people do like it.
@Photon: You just have to ignore stuff like that. Speaking of which, the anime I just finished, Mirage of Blaze, has an overtly yaoi character in it. I was surprised, since he didn't really reveal this until episode 7 (of 13). It was kind of an awkward moment, since he basically half tried to force himself on the main character, who was subsequently freaked the hell out. Fun times.
Ugh.. what a day. I hate school days. Always so busy..
Also, I am in a financial bind at the moment, and I need to sell my MTGO cards (discount). So I'm gonna post a big selling thread on the Market soon. I need like $200 to be good for now.
I'm gonna try to get a job starting in January working at H&R Block again. I liked that job. Or a job at Kinko's. I need to call them tomorrow and maybe fill out an application tomorrow. I should go.
I'm sorry I haven't been catching up too much, but as for the big homosexuality discussion, I already posted my opinion on the thread (twice).
*Alacar slinks off to take a break on SapphireTri's old bean bags
I just did my big "Homosexual Marriage Rights" speech. Went off fantastic, for having a Colorado audience. At least people seemed thoughtful and not outright aggressive. Went a little longer than it should have, but it was good all around.
I would go to that homosexuality discussion, but I'm a bit tired of those discussions at this point. They never end, they never go anywhere, and most people act like idiots while posting on them, especially if someone acted like an idiot first. It's especially bad, mostly, because no one knows when to stop throwing out old information that has been debunked 80,000 times.

Cool, congratulations. When do you find out your grade?
Hello guys... I probably will not be able to post until december 8th or 9th i am having pretty tough times at clinicals right now. Considering the clinical coordinator is acusing me of cheating... which is not the case... Anyways ill be back on december 8th or 9th next month see you guys then...
@Nai: Hopefully your professor/teacher thinks the same way you do. Good grade for that if so. Here's hopin you did get one.
@Homosexuality thread: I'd post there if I thought it would do any good. But a little known fact about me: I believe humankind tends to lean toward ignorance whenever possible. Why? If I knew that I wouldn't feel like a lot of people have no idea what the hell they're talkin' about. So to be flat, you can't fix ignorance by yourself so don't expect those sorts of threads to go well at all. People will ALWAYS try to make a case for one group of individuals being more superior to another (even tho that wasn't exactly said it's definitely at the base of the argument subconsciously).
Aside: Did anyone see that Adult Swim bump that's been on the last two nights at around 12:15 PM eastern? Freaking hilarious!
For those that haven't seen it it's this "Gary" writing in talking about the evils of "Magic the Gatherings." It's got horrible spelling all around and basically says we play metal guitar music and watch porns while playing. No matter if that was written in as a joke or not that's funny. Cause indeed, as frustrating as ignorance can be, it can sometimes be funny.

I suspect I can sympathize with you on this front...medical professionals have a very hair-trigger righteous indignation quotient, and it goes off on innocent people.
@The homosexuality thread (the one in the Debate forum): I wasn't intending it to be a gayness debate, but now that it is I steer clear of that topic. At least it didn't degenerate into a topic about whether FDR was good or not like it did when I made an oil-drilling topic in that forum.
I said my piece in the water cooler talk thread, and I'm not going back to check on it. Frankly, I've gotten to be completely uncaring when people voice opinions against homosexuals and/or our rights. If your opinion doesn't match mine, I basically don't want to hear it. That sounds really narrow-minded, but it's just frustration talking.
I'm hoping everything works out for the PnP Inn, right now. I have some great ideas for a d20 Modern campaign, and I want to put them into action.

Hmmm... A few spring to mind, but surely Good Omens (by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett), Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell (by Susanna Clarke (I still have to finish it, but I thought I'd mention it)) and Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy (by the late Douglas Adams) have to be mentioned here. I might have also mentioned The Lord of the Rings (by Tolkien), but I have still yet to read it
my favorite works of fiction are william gibson's neuromancer trilogy - "neuromancer," "count zero," and "mona lisa overdrive." an incredible work, unusually prophetic considering they were written before the explosion of the intarwebs ... honorable mention to the hitchhiker's series of course
no news on my car yet. but had a busy time since that - tons of work sunday and wednesday, celebrating first my girlfriend's brother's birthday, then my girlfriend's birthday, the other two days.
hope all is well with everyone, and i will try and keep caught up better from next week

That's also a very good book. My sister's ex-boyfriend got that for me as a Hanukkah present and it was very good. Despite being 800+ pages, it flows very well.

same here, I didn't notice it...my bad, I like Joyd
Nai, send us some snow. We are still having hazy warm sticky days here in the southeast. It's creepy seeing roses still blooming and honeysuckle popping up all over the place in DECEMBER.
We have an unusually hot November month too. No snow, but much rain. It's too bad... Normally snow shows up in late September, which is again waay too early for my taste. But now, when it's almost December and winter, I think it's time for a feet or so of snow.

yeah...skis don't work very well on wet sod :/
That's what I miss about Minnesota, you actually get 4 seasons, not just "hot and sticky" or "cool and clammy"
Ya'll can have ours. Chicago is expected to get somewhere between 5 and 10 inches of snow tonight through tommorrow. Considering this November has been warmer than last May, we're not exactly thrilled about the icy blast coming our way.

I dunno SDA, it's five degrees out today. It got cold really fast up here. Growing up, we had three seasons - dry, windy, and rainy, and they were all very hot. (Dry was the hottest.)
