Curse you Alacar! Now I want to get Twilight Princess right now :argh:!
Thanks for the :D's and 's on my job everyone. I'm hoping I get a raise fairly quickly as my freind who works there got a raise in 2 weeks :). I plan on taking a lot of hours, so I'll be much less active, probably only on at night most days.

Alacar, it's 01:18 in the morning over here and already you've made my day! Thanks!

*Alacar refills his cup Thanks, Janus! My brother-in-law showed me last night and I knew I had to share it. Those 2 videos are part 6 of 6 in a complete retrospective of the Zelda franchise. The first 5 cover the history of the games and how they impacted the gaming world; video 6 just chronicles the Zelda storyline.
I am gonna play me so much Wind Waker now!

And yeah.. back to the Tim avvy at Omna's request. The banner may change.
And yeah.. back to the Tim avvy at Omna's request. The banner may change.
TIMMAAAAY!! Nice avvy, dude.
As for the TP on the GC, it'll more than likely be much better on the Wii. I'd entertain the thought, but I plan to get it for the Wii when I get one anyway, so...yeah.
Pretty good day today. Just got out of handbell practice at my church. Man, those pieces for quintets are HARD as CRAP. Especially when you have six people. Our performance is tomorrow, and I can't wait for it. It's gonna be awesome.
Before I run downstairs for some much needed food, here's another good link my brother in law gave me; it's a bit of a read, but entertaining nonetheless.
Dude, Alacar, you rock. That made me so happy to watch, and so happy I get Twilight Princess in about 3 days.
Let's see... If I can find all the games I own, then the only Zelda games I need are: Majora's Mask, Four Swords, Zelda 1 and 2, Link to the Past, and Phantom Hourglass. Not bad. Save that most of them are going to be impossible to find.
And, in fact, I have an NES Zelda game somewhere. I just don't know which it is. Probably Zelda I, if I'm correct. If not, Zelda II.
I have never been a big fan of the zelda games except link to the past on the super nes. Ive always prefer playing dragon quest and final fantasy games before zelda but thats just me.:) Although I do enjoy the classic secret of mana and also secret of evermore those were pretty cool games in my opinion.
Anyways I may or may not post in here later tonight but ill definetly post tommorrow when i get back from clinicals for the x-ray radiography program I am in. Good thing just 4 more days of clinicals then its a long winter break for me yay! Cya all later!
@Nai: So wait: You even have the Ocarina of Time: Master Quest GC disc that came with a preorder of Wind Waker? If not no bigs but that's a pretty cool thing there (that promotion made me think about getting a GC - till I realized it had ZERO else I wanted to play).
In other news, totally busy with FF12. Posting less because of that. Well that and dealing with some unfinished business. Of the shady kind too... When will people learn?
Hey everybody. I missed a day yesterday due to an overload of homework and other stuff, but I'm back now :). Anyways, to catch up on Coffeehouse stuff:
@KK: Congrats on the job! I want to get one over the summer, because at this point my only way of getting money is not eating lunch.
@Mortal Womat: Wow, it seems like every day you get a new really long paper. Sorry, man, hopefully it gets easier. Luckily, Winter Break is coming soon :D.
@Alacar: Nice avatar/sig/custom, etc. I like it!!
@Omna: Hey, cheer up. Life can only get better if you let it get better. Don't worry, you'll always have people here for you :).
Anyway, there's not too much going on with me. I've got a math report thing, but other than that my homework is pretty light. Track practice is starting, so I get to run every day again!!! Weeeeee!!!!!! Oh, and it's really cold over here, meaning like mid-40's I guess. (shut up, you snow people ;))
@Nai: So wait: You even have the Ocarina of Time: Master Quest GC disc that came with a preorder of Wind Waker? If not no bigs but that's a pretty cool thing there (that promotion made me think about getting a GC - till I realized it had ZERO else I wanted to play).
I have the LoZ: OoT MQ GC disc ( ), but I could never figure out the controls, which is why I've never played it.
I've played and completed the original though What was the difference with the MQ again?
@ Alacar:
Thanks for the refill!
* Janus sips his coffee
And I agree, I'll probably go back to playing LoZ: WW as well
@ KevinLiu:
Secret of Mana and Secret of Evermore still rock hard Have you played Seiken Densetsu 3 (of the Secret of Mana family) as well?
I've played and completed the original though What was the difference with the MQ again?
The main difference is the difficulty was ramped up really. I've never heard of any other differences tho. It's just that the harder version of the game was never released in the states so its only available on the GC disc. And THAT was an EB/Gamestop promo only as far as I know. So that disc STILL fetches 40 bucks US (up to about 80). BTW I found the controls for it on GameFAQs. I'll quote here for ease:
Quote from GameFAQ"s walkthrough by KoritheMan »
A Button: Talk to people, roll, drop down from things, open a door, and to
roll, you will have to press "Up" on the Control Stick and press A
(not simultaneously), when climbing, press A to drop down from the
thing you are climbing, also swim underwater while holding moving
the Control Stick
B Button: Attack with your sword, jump from high places and press "Up" on the
Control Stick when you do, and press B to perform a vertical sword
attack, and also hold B and release it to perform a sword spin
attack (you can rotate the Control Stick while doing this and do it
that way instead). Also press L and A to do a jump attack, and
press L, Up, and B to perform a stab attack, and hold B for a long
time, until your sword glows red. (this will only happen after you
get the power up from the Great Fairy on top of Death Mountain) When
it does so, release B to perform a huge spin attack that does
consume magic
Y Button: Acts as the Left "C" button. If you set an item to the Left "C", you
can instead use Y to use the item, rather than the Left "C"
X Button: Acts as the Right "C" button. If you set an item to the Right "C",
you can instead use Y to use the item, rather than the Right "C"
Z Button: Acts as the Down "C" button. If you set an item to the Down "C", you
can instead use Y to use the item, rather than the Down "C"
Start: Pauses the game; while on the pause menu, press B and A to save your
game
L Button: Does the things listed on the "B Button" part of this section, and
also targets an enemy and it acts as Z-Targeting, whereas in the N64
version, you had to press Z to target enemies, look straight ahead
R Button: Use your shield, hold R to crouch, hold R and move the Control Stick
to aim the Mirror Shield and Deku Shield
C Button: You can use C Left, C Down, and C Right to use your items if you set
them to the specific button, look up if you press "Up" on the C
button
Control Stick: Move your character, helps perform sword techniques, also hold
Up when jumping across things such as stepping stones in Kokiri
@Janus: Yes Kevin has played Seiken Densetsu 3 he has also played legend of mana as well.
Well tonight I would like to fill in for kevin tonight. I also would like to say goodnight to everyone and i will probably post either later this week or next week but soon though.:) I hope everyone has had a good week so far and good luck in final fantasy 12 crimson.;) *hugs everyone in the coffeehouse* Goodnight everyone!

Well, no, I didn't get the master quest as part of a promo. I bought it afterwards for about 20 bucks. It's a lot harder, and a bit more amusing. For instance, in Lord JabuJabu's Belly, you'll find the front halves of Cows sticking out of walls all over the place.
Apart from the difficulty (which IS ramped up, believe you me), almost all of the puzzles in every dungeon has changed. While, yes, they remain essentially the same, things have changed places, and new puzzles have been put in. I got to the Water Temple and then just gave up, since that place is a ***** on normal mode, anyways.
That snow talk reminds me, I was fricken pissed at the weather this morning . It rained buckets all night and well into the morning. If it was cold enough for snow it would have been about 2 feet at 6:30 and school would have been closed . Instead I had to drive to school in evil winter rain :(.
Nai: Sonic for 360 is good? Maybe I'll try the demo after all.

I'll bet you wish you had a non-unglued/unhinged card that shared your first name.
A favorite among many Coffeehouse regulars, he answers to either Dave, or Joyd, which is a shortened version of his older usernamed, Overjoyd. Definitely not a reference to Joy Division!
Like most of us, Joyd came to MTGSalvation for the Rumor Mill. But soon enough he was drawn, like many of us, to the Custom Card Creation threads, posting almost entirely there for a good while. He is a member of [R&D].
Regarding Magic, Joyd has an obsession over powerful and useful lifegain effects. Armadillo Cloak is his favorite card--it's cheap, efficient, and has lifegain. His current favorite deck involves using it, Loxodon Warhammer, Ageless Entity, and Well of Lost Dreams.
When he's not gaining life, Joyd can be seen on his college campus in Minnesota, either running the sound for the praise band or running an AV lab for fellow students.
I'm not the only one working on custom sets; Joyd's block, Apogee, is currently on hiatus. He just finished another project, mentioned below.
Joyd was raised on the Marshall Islands, so he never learned to drive and he had never experienced winter. One interesting tidbit is that he is knowledgable about sharks; one time he had to cut open a dead pregnant shark and push out the babies. Unfortunately, they were dead. Sometimes they're alive!
Of the Coffeehouse, Joyd really likes the people and the atmosphere. "They're what makes the house what it is." Being a vegetarian, he likes anything with mushrooms in it. Of the users, when given a choice, he likes Photon Eater most. "He knows what he's talking about." Damn straight.
And that's it for this week's Regular of the Week!
But not to be outdone, here's the..
Geek Mp3
This week we're providing two songs. The first is a recently completed project done by Joyd himself. Korobeyniki, the Tetris song, has that famous and memorable Tetris tune. This is Joyd's personally made version of the song, and it sounds great.
The next song is brought up from the recent Zelda discussion, and needs no explanation: Zelda Overworld. This time cut so you can put it on repeat and play indefinitely.
We're getting snow tonight, and I hope like heck I have an excuse for not going to school tomorrow. I don't want to deliver this speech, and if I don't have school, I won't have to. The problem, however, is that if there's no school tomorrow, I... Well, I have to hope that I can do my semi-final test in math on Monday, and the final on Wednesday. Oi.
As for Sonic, well... Did you ever play the Dreamcast Sonic? If you liked that, you'll probably like this. The controls are slightly wonky, I think, but it's still neat. I'm enjoying it immensely.
Edit: Congratulations, Joyd, on the Regular of the Week!
And those are two cool songs. I'll try the Tetris one soon.
Second Edit: I'm beginning to be annoyed with this one boss, since he seems a bit impossible. He has a 'grab' move that seems to be executed whenever you're nearby. I think I know how to beat him though. But... it's annoying
Thanks for the :D's and 's on my job everyone. I'm hoping I get a raise fairly quickly as my freind who works there got a raise in 2 weeks :). I plan on taking a lot of hours, so I'll be much less active, probably only on at night most days.
Make sur eit doesnt interfer with skool or your social life. I found out that hard way that money isnt such a big deal if your grades slip and you lose some time with friends. Fortunately for me, I realized this not long after getting a job. Some of my other friends havent learned this yet. Not to mention that i've got my laptop already, so I'm content with purchases for a little while.
@Weather: It's been cold here too. I think it was -40 with wind chill. It was deathly cold. That's one of hos enights where you just make some green tea (or alternately a chai tea) and just watch movies or read. I did both
Seriously, mtgs is almost all my social life.[/somewhat sad statement]
And I doubt it will get in the way of my school work, I never work on that at home anymore.
And congrats Joyd on RotW :D. I thought it would be you soon.

I don't have anything against Joy Division; I'm actually barely familiar with them at all, and I doubt they'd even be on my radar if I wasn't occassionally mistaken for a fan.
Well anyway i just wanted to come on here to say goodnight to you all and i hope you guys will have a good week and a good day tommorrow.
