I actually have a magic weapon in my campaigns, called the Displacer Lash, which is a whip in the shape of a displacer beast's tentacle and gives the user a displacement effect to the tune of a couple of feet.
New topic: Your favorite level-0 spells (cantrips). Post your own from your campaigns!
Shine - summons a small, illusionary, but very shiny object that exists for 30 seconds.
Honey - makes anything taste sweet.
Brine - makes anything taste salty.
Lemon - makes anything taste sour.
Wormwood - makes anything taste bitter.
Scream - summons a scream out of nowhere. It's tradition in my campaigns that someone play the Wilhelm scream whenever someone casts this spell. I carry a tape recorder and a tape with that sound effect on it whenever we RP for that purpose.
I seriously wouldn't wanna run into the Red Death in a dark alley. Or a well-lit alley, for that matter >_<;;
Hehe, well I haven't made up my own cantrips, but I do have to say that Prestidigitation is probably the most versatile and awesome cantrip ever. Photon's Favored Soul/Sorcerer used it to turn locks into mercury and get the part out of a pretty harrowing situation early in the game.
Hello this is probably off topic but I just finished dragon quest 7 like last night. It's interesting that they always use demonic lords for main villians. I beat the game on level 54 and it was a fun game overall. The ending was corny though.
In the campaign I run, I don't have to provide any moral problems for the paladin. Our rogue does a fine enough job on his own.
As for cantrips, I don't really use them but we did have a sorcerer once who would blow off all his on prestidigitation just to keep his clothes clean.

I recently started a project that will eventually turn Dominaria into a custom-made campaign world for D&D.
I've decided to add a 'color system'. Each character will adapt a specific color that is in tune with their home region. I will also adapt a region system that offers various unique feats. Each class has limits on what colors they can adapt.
I have removed the monk for my purposes. The monk class does not really fit within Dominarian logic.
The shaman is a new class I have replaced the Monk with (The name is tenative). It serves primarily as a druidic paladin. It is a warrior class with d10 hit die and a small number of divine spells that are taken from the druid list. Shamans must, like their paladin brothers, follow strict guidelines that threaten their Shaman status if gone against.
A Shaman has the following code;
They're given a specific list of simple and/or martial weapons to access. (this list is larger than the druid's, but still somewhat narrow.)
They must not wear metal armor. (I am already creating/adapting naturally made armors for them that keep them balanced).
They must always treat nature with respect. Eat what you must, burn only as much wood as you need, and always be grateful to those gifts.

DAMNIT: I should never have to shred my own character sheet in frustration.
I was thinking about getting into D&D again but usually dont have enough time mostly because of college. The last time i was really into D&D was way back when i was in junior high school/high school and i used to play alot probably every other weekend at one of my friend's houses he used to live in a huge house and it was pretty fun having alot of people over at his house playing D&D, video games, and playing magic all weekend long. However that did not last forever but its fine though it was awesome while it lasted.
Wow well my thoughts on the snake is that its very vicious and aggressive and also poisonness... very poisonness. I was thinking about getting further in enchanted arms later today after i study for a couple of hours considering i havent been playing it lately. Oh well ill finish the game at some point when i have the time to do so.
I'm not sure, but I think I already talked about my Paladin experience, considering I made cards for her.

No sorry can't say i have. Just wanted to say hello and holy crap its almost 3am here ive been studying for awhile. I get to go to the hospital tommorrow to do clinicals again. I will be in the ER shooting a bunch of x-rays on patients. Not like thats a good thing though... I was going to play enchanted arms this weekend but probably next weekend i will start playing it again trying to see if i can get farther. Other then that I haven't really been up to anything.
On the snake: Is it a magical beast? The idea of a seemingly ordinary creature that can create a variety of different venoms is very neat, I think, and would make a great hazard for an area.
Kill Patricia Pulling, anyone? How about Jack Chick? Fred Phelps?
Can you possibly get Ann Coulter, or is she immune to negative energy attacks like the rumors say?
@Psychoburner: Like I told you earlier, I think it's a good idea, if not somewhat ambitious.
Well, it looks like I may be finally pulling myself out of the financial crap I've been in for the past few months, so I think that my first frivolous purchase will be Valkyrie Profile Silmeria.

On the snake: Is it a magical beast? The idea of a seemingly ordinary creature that can create a variety of different venoms is very neat, I think, and would make a great hazard for an area.
Well, it's technically natural. The fallen druid behind thier existance basiclly used magic to graft different parts of venomous creatures together, cloned them, and then let them breed and created a new species that way. But ultimatly they are still natural beasts. I guess it could be argued that they are magical beasts since magic had a hand in thier creation, but that's a philosophical question.
I'm glad everyone likes them. I wanted to make a snake that players would freak out when seeing it. Like, in the real world, if you see a rattlesnake coming at you, you generally run the crap away, gather yourself and then either deal with it or let it be. But in rpgs, i've noticed that with high hit points, saving throws and all that, that snakes are generally shrugged off.
I wanted to make a cool, dangerous snake, while keeping it out of the realm of instant kill.
I'm going to make it's attack very accurate, and give negatives to it's saves. The particularly nasty venom, that is delevered by the burrowing "stinger" fangs, is going to be difficult to nutralize as well.
P.S. I'm using that fallen druid to create an entire island of such beasts, from a hyper inteligent Elephant, to some cleverly modified pirranah and a particularly nasty form of kimodo dragon

Fun fun fun
Well, I meant the magical beast creature type- many natural creatures are classified as magical beasts- magical beasts being any type of naturally occuring creature that exhibits some sort of supernatural nature- i.e. unicorns, owlbears, familiars, etc. Sounds like it would be categorized as a magical beast, to me, or even possibly an aberration, because of the circumstances of it's creation. That's a very Dr. Moreau thing you've got going on there.

I really want to tell you about this cool spell I created.
It's a fifth-level conjuration spell called Hammerspace Rift (the name is tentative). Casting this spell replaces the target's weapon with a random weapon from the Bag of Holding dimension for 3 rounds. Anyone here play Castlevania: Curse of Darkness? You know how when you fight Saint Germain in the Eneomaos Machine Tower and he pulls his saber out of thin air? It's kind of like that. The cool part is it can be useful cast on an ally or enemy, to give you or your friend a better weapon or to screw over whomever you're fighting with a sucky weapon... hopefully. It's random, so you never know what you're going to get!
Oo I like that Void. I have a marvel npc for my game called Hammerspace. He's this Japanese superhero who has that power. Very cool that you made it a spell.
And thanks for the feedback Photon. Yes, it's very Dr. Moreau ^^
I think abberation is the clasification which makes most sense to me.

I would say Magical Beast. It's a normal animal (animals, as it were), which has been magically altered by Moreau the druid there.
Topic: Does your DM allow breaking the 4th wall with Wish and Miracle spells in DnD? A mage in my party once Wished that the DM would give him 10 bucks one time. The DM (my friend Corey) responded in character: "The veil of reality parts and a collossal illusionary hand places a small slip of green paper marked 'Ten' into your hand." Corey pwns like that.
Prestidigitation kind of covers a multitude of sins, so to speak, as far as cantrips are concerned. If it has little to no mechanical effect on the game, prestidigitation can do it. I really like the DnD setting but the game is so focused on a traditional hacknslash type of play. To get any kind of story-elements out of it that aren't fantasy chiches, you kind of have to bend over backwards.
I do like many things about it though. It's a relly well-thought out system, but at the same time you really have to work within it.

I wouldn't mind a perfect cup of coffee before i take off for clinicals since its usually long days for clinicals. Considering I never really have enough sleep before i go in the early mornings but i still manage. So how is everyone?
OMG I totally missed this new thread. Sorry for the not posting and all.. here's an update on the 2 active campaigns my playgroup is on.
My campaign is nearing its final adventure for this stage of the huge 1-20 level, 4 part campaign plot. We skipped part 1 and started on 2. The party was joined by 2 NPCs, a level 12 Bard named Arianna and her husband a Level 2/4/6 Fighter/Wizard/Spellsword named (oddly enough) Alacar. The party has grown to 6 PCs and 2 NPCs, and they recently defeated the Dracolich I threw at them and the maddened red wizard that wanted to enslave them. They found a Red Dragon egg in the wizard's tower, and now they're raising it. One of the sorcerers is focused on polymorph spells, so he can become a Red Dragon for 2 hours. It's been fun so far, but after this next big adventure, the campaign may or may not continue. If it does, the Wyrmling will not go with them.
The other campaign is one where I'm not DMing. Nor is the other guy that usually DMs. It's one of the PCs giving it a shot. He is running nothing but prewritten modules from Eberron. I'm playing Randall Avenal, a level 2 Duskblade (from the Player's Handbook II). The duskblade combines swordplay and spellcraft, but has a very limited selection of spells (but a high # per day). So far we've done the adventure in the back of the Eberron book, and started a new one. The party consists of:
1) Randall, my level 2 human Duskblade
2) Noc, a level 2 human Paladin (planning on being a Bone Knight)
3) Albee, a level 2 halfling Druid with a Badger animal companion (Gooj)
4) Gemmy, a level 2 dwarven fighter. She's female too! With a beard!
5) The recently acquired Devin, a level 1 human Bard.

I do like many things about it though. It's a relly well-thought out system, but at the same time you really have to work within it.
Hmm never specifically like this, but we have wished for 'the perfect cup of coffee' before.
I wouldn't mind a perfect cup of coffee before i take off for clinicals since its usually long days for clinicals. Considering I never really have enough sleep before i go in the early mornings but i still manage. So how is everyone?
Again, apologies for missing this thread.
