About langauges: we don't speak French because of proximity to Cyprus. Malta is a country who's economy is based on tourism. So from a young age at school we get to learn lots of langauges
I was talking about Greek. Cyprus is close to Hellas, and so Greek is taught to Cypriots, but Malta, on the other hand, is another thing.
I'm sorry, but I must ask...where is this Malta? I really have no precise answer to this. I know that it is geographically close to Greece, Africa, and Italy, and it is an archipelago in the Middle Earth Sea (my Latin way of saying Mediterranean Sea). Other than that, I know that you guys, the whole nation, was rewarded the King George Cross, because you got bombed by the Germans in W.W.2, and it appears on your flag in the top-left-hand-side corner.
Um...that's probably all I know about Malta.
So, please inform me about that country of yours, and your education scheme. What languages are you taught?

You forgot Polish!!! But don't expect anyone speaking it here....
I'm sorry, I forgot to mention it. I did realise the error of my doings - that I forgot to mention your native tongue. I realise that you are an integral part of this clan.
Maybe we should learn to speak Polish? (Wiki-tagged for Wiki reference if needed. I hear it is easy to learn. It's a Slavic language...unfortunately, none of the languages I know can really help out with learning it.)

It is? Wow 10 hour difference... for me it's 2:33 pm now.
Not really. I'm just feeling tired.
While on the other hand, Shino Tenshi, Wuffle II, and other New Zealands, including Brother "Hydrokinesis" James, who reside in N.Z. are experiencing midnight now.
Right now, I just need forty-winks. Nothing much to it.

Oh, and Magic Mage, you are soooooooo cool for the "Hellas" reference Most people don't know the country's official greek name and use the generally adopted "Greece".
If that was sarcastic, why thank you!;) Seriously, who doesn't know the name of Greece in Greek? What's this? I'm Greek now? Um...yeah.:) If you weren't sarcastic, thank you, but I do believe you were rather sardonic in tone. Hellas is what "we", Greeks, call ourselves! What about the Olympics? What does our banner say? It's reads "HELLAS" in big, large-sized characters. Why should the Greeks be known by the name derived from the Latin "Graecia" (or something - I don't like Latin spelling at all, but it is quite essential, as it can change the meaning of words dramatically, e.g. iaceo - I lie (down) - and iacio - I throw).

Hi everyone and sorry to butt in, I was just killing time and saw an inconsistency
That's alright. How about joining the clan as a friend?
Absolutely wrong. Cypriots are Greeks because of their origins and heritage, not because of proximity. And they are taught Greek because it is their native language, it has always been since ancient times. Of course I'm talking about the Greek part of the island, not the east part that was invaded and occupied by Turks in 1970s Before that event Cyprus was considered a part of Greece, and functionally it was (we still speak the same language anyway).
Sorry, my bad. Thanks for the "history lesson", as you have deemed it.
Great Maltese singer. What do you think about her ***?
About our history: personally I'm not proud of the George Cross thing. That's an award generally given to individuals who distinguish themselves and not to countries that were bombed because they were expolited during colony time. On the other hand, we should be better known for Hagar Qim, which is way older than Stonehenge, for defeating the turks and stopping their eventual invasion of Europe, and erm for Ira Losco (see above).
Nyeh, hehe, hehehe, I'm on holiday. For two more weeks. One thing that can be said about university is this:
The Trimesters are six weeks long. And that owns.
I'm a Third-year philosophy and Political Science student at Victoria university Wellington. Anyone else here interested in any particular area of philosophy? I'd love to argue with you about it
Also...I saw SO much spam about how I should add my own spin to the title - now I come back and no one's commented on it...>.>

But, but, but, it's a decoration of the British Empire! You simply cannot decline it...(or they'll send their fearful Royal Navy against you! Aaargh! Or not!:)) I'll do some research about Malta. With regards to the defeating of the Turks, surely the French would have done something? Anyway, I humbly thank you for your nation's stand against the marauding Turks. (But isn't your language essentially Turkish?)
Thanks for the history info about that even-more-renowned-nation-state of yours, G&E.:)

But, I haven't actually had any actual Polish language lessons! Aw. I've taught myself the language, but I'm not at all adept. Thanks for the offer to teach a few more things. Well appreciated.:) And yes, we live to serve.

History is finished, now it's time for some linguistics. Maltese is a combination of Semitic (Arab) and European languages. The writing system for example is western, however the vocalic system and most of the morphology is semitic.
Edit: the French did absolutely nothing in this, just like they do in all wars
Sorry guys, but I have to say - you're all spammers. Some of us actually have other things to do...like sleep, or something
@ Moxman:
This was posted at 12PM yesterday. =/
I deliberately took you off the memberlist as per my post in RJ - you can't be the leader of RJ and still expect to be given the chance to be a member of [499].
Sorry guys if i'm abusing my newfound status as a [499] member, but that post kinda did it for me. (And *** hater as well...he specified the emphasis for lack of ability to use MOD text :p)
Also, members shall be updated soon. As well as some of banana's more...unsavoury parts.
That still doesn't warrant me getting removed from the freinds list.
I don't understand very well what you're trying to say, but I'll try
First of all, no, I wasn't sarcastic. Why would I be? It's nice when somebody uses the name "Hellas", which is the name the residents of the country use and not Greece.
Then, what do you mean by "we"? As far as I can tell you are not Greek Do you mean it metaphorically?
Count me in. You seem nice guys and another friend from the Mediterranean wouldn't hurt I love Malta as a country btw and I've already spotted 2 Maltese members
Added you as a friend. Moxman too.
By the way, herder, in a kiwi accent, that actually sounds kinda weird.
Hell, my standard deck runs 10 counters and until my opponent gets 8 mana i always have 3 counters (unless he is running chord of doom...eh HC? :p)
Oh there's Chords in there now. And they're FRENCH. Bow down in fear of my Corde d'adjuration.
I never dismantled that deck, I just kept adding things, changing things, removing things. Now it has nothing to do with the precon. It's a 150-card green fatty deck. And if I survive to like turn 30 it can go berserk. Fun. Not good, but fun.
By the way, what type of band is Panic! At The Disco?

Derr, my name is the stupidest, yet the coolest, because it is merely too stupid yet cool. Actually, I believe Glam wins coolest. Stupidest? Probably mine, because it is far too simple.
I like to refer to them as "speed crap". Except slightly catchy.
And no one's name is simpler than mine.
I speak French fluently [I'm in Quebec after all], and I learned Spanish in class for 3 years but I still don't understand a word.
Don't worry though, you can still make french jokes. I don't care.
How does this WP stuff work? I've tried to lurk but never understood anything.
The colo is basically text-based role playing. WPs are the subforums at the top, they're different worlds (like different enviorments with stories, details or whatever). Within each of those are quests and things like that. Quests are role playing games. Someone makes a story, and players sign characters up to play in it. There's usually a seperate thread for character creation.
Once you know how to role play text-based, the only thing to the colo is following the rules.

I also make electronic music on the conputer, remixes of other songs mostly. I suck with hooks and lyrics too much to make originals.

Thanks for your comments, but I don't think I'll be naming my gates after Bill Gates. That would just be wrong...
BTW, who do you think I can ask about WPs? With Senori gone and no replcaement so far... what do I do??
Anyway, what's up everyone? Is it just me, or has MTGs been slightly less active?
I've been in 3 different bands and have never found a bass player...
How does this WP stuff work? I've tried to lurk but never understood anything.
