Ha! Here in New York it's pleasant! So pleasant in fact, that I just returned from Central Park. I couldn't resist seeing as it was such a nice day outside. I read my book that I'm reading for college summer reading (Native Son) while I was there.
On a worse note, sitting next to the computer I'm typing on I FOUND OUT MY SISTER GOT THE JOB THAT I GOT REJECTED FOR!!!!! GOD ****ING DAMMIT, I'M ****ING USELESS!!!!!!!!
If you love Xenosaga then you Must play Xenogears. As much as people say its unrelated It is in a VERY small way. The fact is this The story line is based like so:
The time frame between the 2 is severe. Xenosaga was supose to be Chapter 1 of the Xenogears saga and Xenogears was I think Chapter 6(not sure on this). Xenosaga 2 Is a still in chapter 1 and slowly starts into chapter 2 I think. Xenosaga 3 finishes the xenosaga story up. Ya wonder why there aren't more xenogears references... Will Squareenix has the rights to xenogears and WON'T let monolith have the rights to the game they made(Monolith was part of square during Xenogears) Also Xenosaga 3 is suppose to be the last xeno game they are making(highly doubt that cause if people love it I assume they decide at a later time to go forth to make more...)
WOW I just ran off with this one...*wonder what game I love the most besides for PE*
HOW COULD I FORGET ABOUT XENOSAGA/XENOGEARS?! NO!!!
[/rage*]
Anyways yea I would have to put the Xenosaga/Xenogears close behind what i listed...i think i read that Xenogears was part 5 of the Xenosaga story line...but im not sure, it may be 6...but id like really like to see how everything gets hopefully wrapped up in the final part...if it is to be the final part...

If there is a Final part even if 10 years later...I'll be there...Getting nagged by my wife*If I have one by that time*:p
*Twitch* Some parts of Dragon Quest 8 are lame? Yeah, no. The whole game is a pleasure to play, a feast for the eyes and ears, and I don't think even a miniscule part of it is off-kilter in even the slightest degree.
Yeah, don't get me started on the Xeno series, either. I adore each and every incarnation, but the original Xenogears always takes the cake for me. Tetsuya Takahashi is a certified genius, and I'm really sad to know that he's not writing anything for Shion or Fei anymore ~_~;;
Xenogears and Xenosaga are very much related, although due to copyrighting issued Takahashi had with Sakaguchi (read: Satan), he couldn't use the actual terms, names, etc. from Xenogears. He had to change a lot of things, but the really important stuff was left intact like Abel, the anima relics, things like that.
Xenogears is a perfect example of what Square did to earn my ire. They never, ever had any time or patience for people with vision. It was always "hey guys! Let's make Blizzaga look PURPLE this time!!!!!!eleventy"
1. Valkyrie Profile: It was the most innovative game I've ever played, and so blatantly dark. I love combat in games, personally, so I was always thrilled to be beating the tar out of something or another, and I'm also a huge Motoi Sakuraba fan. Plus Arngrim is sort of hot.
2. Star Ocean Second Story: Even though the plot is weaker than the other 3 SO titles, it had the best system and the most open gameplay.
3. (Shin Megami Tensei) Persona 2: Eternal Punishment- Another dark, gritty game. It has a brutal system, which appeals to the RPG veteran in me, is loaded with great story and is packed full of great occult and mythological references.
4. Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga 2- Atlus' first real attempt to make the SMT franchise more accessible to an American market. The first title in the series was a bit of a letdown for me, but the second one took everything from the first, gave it a tuneup, and combined it with another searingly harsh gameplay and bleak storyline combo.
5. Wild Arms 3: I adore this game simply for it's sheer expansiveness. The world is huge and literally takes days to explore, and the story is pretty neat, too. Plus, it's the only sci fi-fantasy-western fusion RPG franchise I can think of, so there you have it.
Don't mind my boyfriend, we both have a notorious dislike for Square. He tends to be a lot more vocal about it, though.

Welcome to jersey. Want a shoulder to cry on...or a Hanky:p
Or would you rather read weird new jersey all day long like most of my firends:-/
Dude, New Jersey weather is nothing compared to Massachusetts weather (or New England weather in general). Everything sucks in Mass. (no offense to those who live there, like Danica).
KoolKoal, or KK to those of you daunted by the idea of proper typing, came to the site in search of spoilers, like most of us. After becoming curious at the various clan links in the signatures of different members, he made an account and began snooping around the clan forums, where he discovered a baby House Dimir, and joined as their third member. Since then, he (and his other invisible friends) have become active in other parts of the forums as well.
KoolKoal takes his name from a childhood toy of his, a toy koala named Koal. Due to it's overall obscurity, he uses it everywhere online, since he can pretty much guarantee it won't be taken.
KoolKoal has a variety of favorite cards. He says he tends to become very excited about a card, explore it and it's possibilities for a while, and then shelf it to try out whatever new card catches his eye. Of the cards he has favored, however, he names Arcbound Overseer and Niv-Mizzet the Firemind, and has high hopes for Jester's Scepter and Haakon, Stromgald Scourge.
His favorite deck is his first deck, his casual Arcbound deck. He loves it because it does what he likes about the game very well- building giant, indestructible monsters with an element of style, like any true Johnny/Timmy. Recently, he has enjoyed adding newer cards, like Walking Archive to the mix for crazygonuts multiplayer mayhem. (I just want to give him points here, as I think we are the only two people to ever want to play Walking Archive).
When he isn't playing MTG with his large playgroup of 17 (which includes one of his teachers) or cloaked in the occult embrace of secrecy (read: posting in House Dimir), he enjoys playing video games, reading fantasy novels, playing his trombone, and attempting to learn how to play Warhammer.
He hopes to get his driver's license soon (sidenote: It took me until I was 20 to finally get mine. I'm... I'm just not good in anything that could possibly explode), and is working on his own MTG block and novel, Manaessence, the link to which can be found in his signature. I advise you all to check it out.
KoolKoal gives the same reasons for liking the House that many of you have given, and says he enjoys being able to learn more about other people and be able to act goofy and have fun. He also loves the chocolate milk, which he orders on a more than regular basis.
When asked who in the House he likes the most, he says he enjoys most of the company, but really likes many of the core original group.
And that's it for Regular of the Week!

Hey guys, long time no see. I'm terribly sorry for dropping the ball on the whole custom deck tourney, but for the first time in a long time, I've got more on my plate than I can keep up with, especially on salvation (The Trench, New custom set, new colo things, Dimir, making banners for people, working, working out, Etc.). Once again, I'm sorry for not being around, and even though I'm not going to be able to organize it, I'd still love to see the tourney happen.
That said, I'd like to congratulate KoolKoal on getting RotW! It's good to see a fellow Dimir member get it. I remember when he was a struggling newb on Salvation, and I was too when we both joined House Dimir (I was shortly after him). Believe it or not, he actually wasnt very active, and his loyalty to the house was at times disputed. Now, however, he has become a member that we all know and love. Congrats, bud!
Anyways, I hope to stay a little bit more active now.
Ever watch a show and think of somehow to improve it?
We (we meaning Mamelon, Ethersphere, and I) were watching Iron Chef America, and we started talking- and I think the show could be improved upon in two ways.
1. Dungeons. Imagine how awesome the show would be if each chef had to navigate a perilous trap-laden dungeon in order to get the day's secret ingredient?
2. Druids. Instead of submitting their dishes to a panel of C list celebrities, they would instead be forced to take their offerings into a circle of angry druids and face their ancient spells and the power of Stonehenge- and if they managed to survive they win. Yeah, this does make the whole cooking part somewhat irrelevant, but it does provide an extra challenge for when the secret ingredient is something like lamb or vennison, and the druids inevitably become pissed off to see their woodland buddies served up with mango chutney.
Anyone else have any ideas on how to improve some of their favorite shows?

Survivor*I hate the show but this would make me watch it*
1. We no longer vote people off.
2. We vote Animals ONTO the island
3. Start off with small animals and work bigger
-Insects
-snakes
-lizards
-Small animals(dog sized)
-Medium(Panther sized)
-Large(lion, bears and stuff)
-Chimera's Yes I did say Chimera's
-Cannibals
-and lastly Penguins with bombs
4. Turn the game into a survival of the fittest that is on 24/7
Or how about this? You guys know how on Oprah, she randomly has her "gift" shows, where she gives out presents to the entire audience? Well, what if every time she did this, she would randomly select one seat, and right before the presents are given out, the person in that seat is dragged onto the stage and offered up to her as a sacrifice?
I think that would really help her take back daytime from Ellen.

Actually what I said was "dodging attempts of one of my friends to teach me warhammer :teach:.

Don't correct the RotW guy. A simple "thank you" would suffice.
But seriously, yeah, you are right. I misread, he did say dodge. +2 points for not wanting to play Warhammer.
I saw Watza lurking earlier too. hmm.

I think that would really help her take back daytime from Ellen.
