@*** Hater: Yeah, Photon and I love Riviera! Yet another game square didn't want to make, so their employees jumped ship to make it themselves XD. How do you like the weapon/item system? It can be frustrating at times, but it's a good one. And the music...*love*
Ah yes, The battlemaster. I'm guessing the Vulshok were supposed to be a prety Amazonian society? And see, if it weren't for the frontal bulginess, I would never have known. I always forget the sorcerer, too.
@Priest: Hehe, I meant that I've been in a dressing room full of drag queens during their "transformation." =)
I meant that I've been in a dressing room full of drag queens during their "transformation." =)
Haha, do you mind if I ask why you ended up there?
Hmmm ... the only game which I really was into was Morrowind: Elder Scrolls. I absolutely loved that game, until I got too good and pawned the faces of everyone in there. Then I was sad ... ... Maybe I should actually do the storyline now
Jeez-- I just had to recruit 3 people in the room to read one inscription... we THINK it says Norcross, but its sooooo faint, written in pencil, its so hard to tell.....
Haha, do you mind if I ask why you ended up there?
Hehe. Some friends and myself used to frequent a club pretty far from where I live. There's a drag show there every Thursday, and I got to know some of the women pretty well. It just happened that one day, five or six of them had to change at the friend's house where i was staying, so yeah. Falsies and mascara everywhere O_o;;

Wow, I admire your courage for staying there
Haha, the closest thing to seeing a drag show is when I watched The Birdcage (hmmm ... or at least I think that was what it was called ... )
Aw shoot. I like drag queens a lot, myself. They tend to have a bad reputation for being catty whores, but the ones I knew (for the most part) were awesome people ^__^;;
But yeah. For someone as clingy with his masculinity as I am, it was a strange encounter with gender-bending, I can say that much.

Haha, well. I have never met someone like that. Really. Hmmm ... and I just kinda thought they were odd, not "catty whores". Hmmm .... what does catty mean ? Anyway, I guess meeting one is not big on my to do list but it would still be interesting to see what they're like.

Oh man, some of these women are priceless. "Catty" basically means...well lemme think. You know the steretypical gay guy? Lispy, always insulting someone's fashion sense, constantly gossiping behind people's backs? Yeah, that's catty in a nutshell. There were a few of that kind of person at the club, but they were ousted pretty quickly, thank the Gods.
Wait...Photon just informed me that I was voted the second sexiest member of the coffeehouse. *Glances around...looks under the rug* Anyone mind explaining that? O_o;;

Thanks I'm a 15 year old and don't exactly know the dictionary yet ^_^;. Haha, ask anyone and they'll tell ya I'm more mature for my age. Haha, at least what the_kist_Lich tell me (:rolleyes: Ahhh ... ponies in the sand ...).
Hmmm ... I can't explain the 2nd part of that. I don't stick around here enough to know the happenings around here. I plan to be here more though.
This happened as there were most people who restrained from voting for the sexiest and that way only a few got there vote in. 1 was just enough for you to get 2nd best sexiest member.
Also, about riviera, abou the music i dont know. I turn the sound off while i play as i like listening to other music instead =) but i liked the fighting mode. It justs makes you think more
You are seriously missing out. For a GBA game, the music is very good- it's got old school flavor, but is excellently done. I have the Riviera Arranged Album, which I might be persuaded to share. Unfortunately, the final battle theme is corrupt- this is one of those OSTs I only own in MP3 format, since the Riviera Arranged Album is rare and expensive. Otherwise, though, it's intact and definitely worth a listen. I'm probably the world's biggest VGM fans, and it's one of my all-time favorite albums.
Speaking of my favorite VGM albums, here are the ones I recommend: Star Ocean OST, Final Fantasy VI OST, Seiken Densetsu III OST (these three make up my Core 3 OSTs, and I consider them to be among the paragon of gaming music), Seiken Densetsu IV OST, Valkyrie Profile OST, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne OST, and Persona 2: Eternal Punishment OST.
P.S. My favorite character is probably Fia, but then I am always a sucker for a girl with holy magic and a rapier. Although, truth be told, I ended up using Cierra a lot more. There is just something about her ability to deal thousands of damage each attack that excites me.
Hmm...might i persuade you then? Coz i really dont feel like playing the game all over just to hear the music
Then you won't really appreciate the music. So consider me unpersuaded at the moment. (Plus, I can't really do it until I can be home and upload it. Right now, it's all stuck on my MP3 player).

Lol. So youre going to make me play the game with lots of cheats so that i can finish it quickly hearing lots of the music again. Ok =). Plus id love to get a screenshot of Serene coz i lost it when i formatted the PC
Hi jack and Yukora
Well, it's like a 10 hour game, it's hardly a huge investment of time. Seriously, it's worth playing again, as you can at the very least try to get the Serene ending. Actually, you can get an ending with each one of the girls, an ending with Rose, and then there is the secret ending.

Hello, ***. And good morning everyone else. I neeeed my coffee for this morning.
Before coffee =
After coffee =
Alacar, it might be late, but...woah. I'm lovin' the vanguard cards.
While we're on the subject of gba games, I have a screenshot for all to have a nice chuckle at. If anyone has ever played FE6(the one with Roy), then you will realize just how funny this really is.

And exactly five conversations later...
Makes ya wish they had hoses back then. ;)....>.>
Ah, Fire Emblem. I love any game in which you can manipulate the cast into trying to get into each other's pants. I really liked Sera in FE7, I'm told she's reminiscent of me. I really like Joshua in FE8, because he's a critical hit expert, which is sort of my bag. I also liked Ross, because he's a cutie, and he reminds me of a certain boy I know. *pinches ethersphere*
As for games, the best RPG ever? Dungeons & Dragons. You can have whatever ending you can muster AND whatever OST you want.
While that may be true, I'd hardly say it is the best ever. There are plenty of great tabletop systems capable of doing the same thing. Plus, some people like a more cohesive story. D&D is pretty awesome, though. I wish I could play it this weekend, except I don't have the time. I'm going to have to wait until the end of this schedule to play, but then I will have time.
I sort of want to start playing my old campaign. It's a year old as of last week, and we haven't touched it in a few months. Right now, we are down to only 3 party members- Mamelon plays a half-elven bard/cleric to the goddess of beauty and justice (heavily inspired by L'Arachel in FE8), I play a human favored soul/sorcerer who was the anointed religious leader of his people, but ran away from home to avoid the responsibility, and currently has machinations to take over the world. Josh is playing a half-giant psychic-warrior/totemist who escaped from slavery where he was forced to live as a gladiator, and now seeks revenge for the enslavement of his people. We had a lot of fun with it, but when another player got all powergamey and whiny, it sort of started to drag and petered out.
Whew. I dunno why, but I just decided to get up early this morning. Weird.
Anyone else have any comments on the Vanguard? I worked REALLLY hard on it..
As for games, the best RPG ever? Dungeons & Dragons. You can have whatever ending you can muster AND whatever OST you want.
*waves to Jack* Morning !
Oh, and alacar, do you have the page # for the Vanguard pics? I love that variant and I can give you comments on them
Dungeons and Dragons was very confusing for me. I played it once and never played again because my mind was so shattered from the headaches I got afterward.
On FE:
Fire Emblem 1-3 were first released on the NES. Fire Emblem 4 and 5 were for the SNES. 6-8 are for the GBA, and 9 is for the GCN.
4 is considered to be the crown jewel of the series by most veteran FE fans, and it is easily the most involved and most difficult.
On D&D:
It's actually not as complicated as it looks, but it can be intimidating to take on. The key is just to reading the book a few times until you have really gotten the rules, and trying not to do anything too complicated in terms of characters, storylines, or sessions until you have gotten used to it and learned the system. It's actually no more complicated than MTG in terms of rules- actually, I would say MTG has a lot more complicated rules, overall.

You have a point, but I guess I can retract my statement and say 'Tabletop RPGs are the best ever.' d20 just happens to be my favorite system, that's all.
As for learning it, just get the core rulebooks and read, read, read. You don't have to remember everything, just get a feel for things. Also, learning from someone who's played before (and is patient) helps a lot.
HERE is Academy Vanguard. It's also on my website. (I updated it last night.) I'll have a release for the Academy Spoiler with images on the .zip. Besides, I need to issue one little errata on Diving Prowler.. grr
What's going on? I've never played D. and D. before. It looked so....strange and too nerdy for me. No offense to any who play it. It's just my oppinion.
As for Fire Emblem, is that like a GBA game? I saw it in my game magazine but i forgot which it was.
OMG! I was at Gamestop yesterday and my dad was goin to buy my sister and I a game. Well, I stumbled acress Resident Evil 4 and was like cool! Then I saw KH2 and just died. I wanted it so bad, but it was $50! So he said no and we left. I was dissappointed.

Hmmm ... I was going to play as a sorcerer, but when my friends got together, they all left me in the dust (having played before) and I was there sitting around not learning anything. A LOT of headaches.
