lol y'all can be ink brothers! Totally not fair though. You guys get to show off your bodily mutilation but I don't get to.
Cameron your tat is pretty cool. Don't go all crazy cuz all that strip DDR is going to wear on you eventually and the tat will get skewed because of massive man muscle mounting in your pant leg.
Kank: haha. Gotta love those buttless chaps. Of course I don't think I'd date a chap if he had no butt. BTW i love that thread.
On the subject of tattoos, I think I'll temporarily drop into my wet-blanket prissy self and make the obligatory 'wait 'till you're 60 and it gets interestingly distorted from the sag'. Or, if you prefer, I could go into the whole 'and what will your child think later on' and 'do you really want that on your skin for the rest of your LIFE' discussion, but seeing as it's already done, I'll leave well enough alone (NOT).
Besides, I have no need of tattoos. You see, the acne makes this interesting pattern if you look closely enough...or don't, if you wish.

Help has come in the form of a bit of basic algebra. I feel that it'll shed some light on your problem here.
Basically:
S + T = W
...S in this case stands for 'spam' and the T stands for 'light trolling'. And the W? That stands for 'Warning'. I love math. -- {mikeyG}
I have short, long, and midterm memory loss. Every moment I have to reconstruct reality so I can experience it. Very tragic =[

So, mikey and I are having a "debate" ["debate" meaning he tries to actually debate, I just state my reason for liking it over and over..we're weird, shush. :p] about this quote, which is in my AIM profile.
"Love is the triumph of imagination over intelligence."
Personally, I like it because I'd rather have an imagination than intelligence.
He thinks it's cynical.
What do you think?
Discuss, debate, ignore, whine, complain, be sarcastic.
Carry on!

@Tattoos: I'd like to get one, but I need to get in shape first so I would want to show it off wherever I got it.
@imagination vs. intelligence: Imagination is fun, but intelligence makes relationships works and guides you through the ups as well as the downs. I always look for intelligence in the people before imagination. I like both, but imagination isn't going to make logical decisions and help us if we're having an argument.
@T2: Thats a very awesome tat., grats for going through the pain. (edit: my brain apparently skipped and forgot what I was writing I meant to say, grats for having the courage to go through the pain :P)

Don't worry. My massive man muscle (alliteration ) is cleverly disguised by blobby man fat.

I was going to get one of Edgar Allan Poe on my back, with the word "Poe" in beautiful cursive, until I realized that when I'm 60, it'll look like Mr. Potato head with "Poo" underneath.

Imagination presupposes intelligence. One must first have an active mind to have an active imagination.
(Love, too, presupposes intelligent thought, by the by.)
I just think being able to recite facts and have debates [and assorted other things, that's just what came to mind first*] is boring most of the time.
* = Yeah, I know intelligence is about more than that. It was just an example, so don't get your undies in a bundle, as my health teacher says.
I dunno. I like learning and everything, but it gets so repetitive. there's no repetition in imagination. [at least not in mine.]
As you mentioned, there is more to intelligence than knowing the exact chemical composition of Viagra, or being able to quote Aristotle.
I will generally concede that textbook-knowledge is more exciting than pure imagination. However, this is entirely subjective. I am personally more attracted to a scientist who can recite the periodic table than a grungy abstract artist who slouches around mumbling vague spiritual nonsense. But that's just me.

Grr. Heath didn't win. Upset. Oh well..
No, but Hoffman deserved the win, I think. He was great in that film. (Also, he was gay in that film.)

My health/gym teacher said the same thing. His name isn't Ken Mattini by any chance?
I think the quote is beyond cynical, it's downright bitter.

What about a tidy abstract artist who articulates inspiring insights?
Brokeback already won just by being a box office hit. Personally I really liked the movie but it didn't blow me away. I don't think any injustice would be done by it not winning anything.

Then it would fall upon other features, I suppose, though I'd still be tempted to lean toward the scientist, just based on this information. I'm the artistic type, I generally don't want two of me.

Wow I like how I totally got credit for that somehow?
lol. Quote the right person beyotch! Go go Brokeback!
I mean...sure, go ahead.
This is the entire tattoo, from a slightly awkward angle.
This is a second one that Shea took, just for ****s and giggles.
Full of snazz.
What else is he doing to it?
Yes, well. I don't shave my legs, but he needed to shave it for the tattoo.
Once this heals over, he's going to touch up the black and soften a few of the lines. After that, he wants to expand it to go around my calf and shin.
Even more snazzy.
Oh my God, I said 'eh'. Noooo!
