I'm all for voting as well!! Let's get down to brass tacks! I am so happy to see the clan back to the jolly good natured ribbing we are known for!

I gotta a little rant though!!
I am the first one to admit that I haven't had the funds to buy a whole lot of Ravnica, but I gotta say that the ones I have bought have been pure crap!!! I think I have purchased maybe 12 packs (I feel like Charlie in his classroom when the teacher is doing the math assignment) and the best rare I have pulled has been a Hunted Lamasu! I did get 2x Moroii and 2x Putrify but aside from those the rest has been pure bumpkiss! I'm afraid to buy a box because with my luck I'll be the fool that only ends up with one Dual!! THIS MADNESS HAS GOT TO STOP!!

There....I feel better now! For a second there I thought I was going to lose it!

I have some card stores around me that never know the value of cards before the Scrye comes out and they price the rares between $3-$5. I'm hoping that they will pull some good ones and slap a low price on them!:evil:

I noticed recently that the soap thing had to be explained It can be so easy to lose sight of your origins sometimes. . . from the activity of our last few threads, it sort of seems like we Called have some housecleaning to do, get our 'mission statement' in order - our current one is lacking, nor are we accepting friends

In what will undoubtedly shock people, I'm not opposed to Votan occasionally posting on our thread. His posts are always intelligent and insightful, and usually full of good information.

Bummer about the crap rare pulls Jonny. I know how frustrating and disappointing that can be. I went through that same experience back when Homelands was first released. Only difference being that you pulled jank rares and I pulled...Homelands.

I can also sympathize with your card store situation. I have a similar problem at my store. Even though the owner does give me great deals on packs and boxes, his single card prices tend to be greatly inflated. We're talking $7 for a Boutinous Kirin! Thankfully he is now relying on findmagiccards.com for his new single prices, so the prices are becoming more and more reasonable.

Because of the :rolleyes:, Bel. If you know HKKID is going to come back, it's not a "loss." I left the clan, therefore opening a slot. That is, indeed, a loss. The fact that he attached a to it just makes it seem like an attempt to throw a shot at me on a poll. And it pisses me off.

So it was leveled at me? FYI, I never said I wouldn't post here anymore, just that I was quitting the clan. And obviously, I wouldn't post here anyways unless I needed to; in this case, there was a pol option that was derogatory towards me.

Thanks for calling me a chump, too. I left the clan because I can't post in a clan environment that is *supposedly* built around trust. Sound logical? But hey, if you want to be lied to that's fine with me. The whole situation was pretty screwed up if you ask me.

Second of all, I dont' boss people around in my clan. Have you even read my clan's philosophy? Jeez.

Ironically, that hatred is only directed towards each other, and apparently, not towards anyone else whatsoever.

I don't think that Jonny deserved a warning..Saka started the fight with him, and Jonny made alot of valid points...yeah, he called him a chump, but, I don't think that qualifies as flaming, especially when the rest of the contents of his post were very valid.

Sean: Quit overreacting. Do you actually care about that poll option? If you do..get over it, it doesn't even mean anything. When *I* read the poll, I took that smiley face to mean exactly what it was, sarcasm...not sarcasm over the fact that we've suffered a loss, because that's undeniable(even if HKKID will someday randomly return here, he's not here now), it's sarcasm over the idea that we should sit around 'mourning' that loss. Please note, also, that we made some jokes about the word mourning and it ties in with that as well. It's not all that hard to figure out, you're crying foul over nothing.

I don't think that any of us visit the Gutter, for obvious reasons.

Lastly, it's not that big of a deal, IMO, that I don't mind if Votan posts here...for one thing, the way that he presented his request to post here was A)honest and B)heartfelt, and that goes a long way with me. At least he bothered to ask first, and uses whole sentences, instead of the traditional 'I wanna post in ur thread,k? KKthxbye' that we seem to get. Also, it seems like alot of the people who want to be 'friends' with the Called really just want to come hit on our girlies(I think that BOTH of the active females on the whole site are in our Clan). That part is what bugs me. They're ours, and you can't have 'em, suckas...shoulda wooed them to your Clan like we did. That, and, post after post after post of mindless, pointless flirting gets so old...it's one thing when it's Clan members doing it, eventually it (mostly) gets out of their system..but for awhile it seemed like there were new people every single day who would randomly pop in, say 'omfgwtfbbq sterling angel is h0+zors, lemme be a friend of The Called'. Naturally these people don't have any remote clue what she looks like, so their notion that she's hot seems to have been pulled out of their ass(and replaced with their heads). Errr, that's not to say that she's NOT hot, since I've no idea what she looks like, just that it fascinates me that other people who also have no idea what she looks like would randomly drop in proclaiming her ultimate beauty...based, apparently, solely on their imagination. The last reason that I didn't want other people posting here is kind of an innocent bystander situation. I didn't want BB18 posting here, because I don't really like him, and I felt like it would be rude to be like 'yeah y'all can post here. Oh wait, not you, you're a bastard(note, I'm not actually saying he's a bastard, just making an example). But, now he knows how I feel anyway, due to certain happenings, so I can let down my guard a little.

Of course, chances are all of this will just all start happening again, and I'll kick my own ass for ever saying that I don't mind that one person posts here(as undoubtedly, people will view this as a floodgate open for non-called members to post). Maybe Votan could just join the Clan, instead.

I think Votan should follow the clan statement like any other clan chatter - post here, on occasion, if you have something relevant to say. We don't do "friends" and we don't like people posting random jokes or whatnot here... but I don't have a problem with Votan popping in and saying something if something comes up. And of course since he's a mod, he'll post mod business when necessary.

If I was worried that you'd do any of the things that I didn't like, I'd have opposed you posting here like I have everyone else And I wasn't really serious about you joining, I know you're part of Bel's other Clan..er, Project Mayhem. And lastly, I think it's perfect that you let us decide how to run our clan, because we're a fairly odd bunch, with about 2 million different personalities between the 13 of us It's easier for us to handle each other than it is for someone else whom doesn't understand us to.

But yeah, like Daron said, I don't mind you posting, as long as you're posting for a reason, and not just for the sake of posting in The Called.

I'm such a healthy person too except for these dirty tonsils. I get a throat infection every few months. I need them out!!! I haven't had a flu or ANYTHING else in about ten years. And I hate complaining too so I'll just shut up.

Bel, my sisterinlaw and her husband (an army guy) aren't exactly nurturing. I'm still expected to earn my keep by unpacking boxes, cleaning, and so on. Oh well. At least I'm not home alone with two screaming boys like my wife is.
