In the context of EDH, I'd look at him less as a bad Dramatic Entrance and more as a variation on Lead the Stampede. To me, that means something like an elf or sliver deck.
That's a good point. I can see him in swarm decks now. Thinking about it, I'd play it in my Animar deck if it didn't cost 6.
Human tribal for the win!...He missed Innistrad block by a year!
I absolutely love him. Of course that could be said of "card X this card involves zombies or reanimation" I'm pretty easy to please. really sad I didn't play through onslaught
Speaking of which, that guy is actually Rotlung Reanimator. Seems like there's another Aristocrats in the making. I expect it will be very good.
It's a little different from rotlung. It trades the ability to block with tokens for a wider range of creatures which could be turned into zombies (IE, tokens come into play tapped, so they can't block. But triggering off humans instead of clerics is better because humans are a more common creature type).
Actually didn't notice the ETB tapped clause. Does not change my overall opinion of the card, and it is definitely designed after Rotlung Reanimator. Should be some fun with Gather the Townsfolk.

Huh, I didn't catch that it triggers off human tokens as well. Great, even the tokens make tokens
While we're on the subject of previews, might I present: Dark Prophecy
Great name for a one-sided fecundity that requires life payments. Guess I've found my next build around me enchantment!
Serious opinions now, guys, does this belong in my deck (the one that sacrifices all the things)? It would take the place of Graveborn Muse.
I Don't know the rest of the deck. But assuming it's monoblack that takes out the painful triple black verses double. The next question are their sac shenanigans that will allow you to draw more cards off of the enchantment than you would off the muse? Also how often dose muse kill you?

Muse doesn't often kill me. I'm not going to say it never does, but it's rare enough to not be an issue. I sac creatures all the time, but the Muse carries a Jitte. The enchantment is harder for an opponent to get rid of.
I'm really torn here.

"[Screw] you and the green you ramped in on." - My EDH battle cry. If I had one. Which I don't.
While we're on the subject of previews, might I present: Dark Prophecy
I really want to put it in my Karador, Ghost Chieftain so bad. Only problem is for those times I wanttocomboout, I need to eliminate my own enchantment, unless someone else had done so already, which I suspect to be the case in a deck like Karador.
While on the topic, Xathrid Necromancer might be worth a slot in Karador as well.
Been playing Path of Exileheavily. That game is awesome.
Full spoiler for M14 is up. I don't foresee a lot of monetary value but there's a decent number of cards I like.
Someone at my LGS opened this. Haggled a bit and ended up getting it for the cube.
It was costly, but not as costly as this year's fireworks expenditure. Last year's Independence Day was a bit of a disappointment, so I went a little overboard this year. One of my friends had a decent camera for that sort of thing, so there's a few good pictures.
This one was particularly cool. Went back and forth with these shotgun blasts of sparks.

Best I got is finished my playset of flats got a bloodstained mire finished karador and almost finished mayael. I am so far behind you all. i don't even have a normal goyf. Although I must admit, even though mayael dosn't have black in it it is still fun. Tooth and nail entwined getting resto angel and kiki-jiki just hurts.
@feast, Don't worry I don't own a goyf either and I don't really plan to get them in the near future.
@therestless, pretty fireworks you got yourself there and good job boosting the economy by spending big! Regarding Path of Exile, I tried the game for a bit and I must agree with you, it is awesome. My strength-witch is hilarious (I didn't like the lore of the templar so I made a witch) and I also made a claw-shadow, which is almost immortal so far, maybe they need to balance some skills a bit better...

It's cool that they have things like Iron Will to get a strength boost to spell damage.
Their design of claws is interesting. Huge life-on-hit kickbacks, but not the greatest damage and a lot of skils can't be used with them. I imagine it would make for a very stable HC character, though I'd very much want to get Unwavering Stance (can't be stunned keystone) as soon as possible.
I'm currently running the terribly generic Lightning Arrow ranger (64 in Onslaught league) and a Spark witch who is almost at Dual Totem (54, also in Onslaught). I had a 5-link chestpiece drop for my Witch which is incredbily useful.
Nice one on the goyf! Unfortunately, I haven't made any interesting additions to my collection with showing off. Just a lot of little things for EDH recently.
Nice fireworks. I assume those were done by you? Glad to see others spent their fourths as pyromaniacs too. The past two years, my pyromanic friend drunkenly made bonfires. I'll have to show some pics of this year and last year once I am on my regular computer. They are pretty...ridiculous, would be the best way to put it ...
you guys seen the "Elspeth in Theros" threads? i'd be so happy to get a white walker who was actually useful in Standard...
It would make some sense. If she does show up in Theros, I am hoping she is better than Elspeth Tirel. Would it be too much to ask for a reprint of Elspeth, Knight-Errant? Yeah, probably....
I'm currently running ... a Spark witch who is almost at Dual Totem (54, also in Onslaught).
I've nearly got this build completed. Dual Totem is sweet, and has the advantage of being very safe for a caster build. The drawback (inability for your character to deal damage directly) is not as big a deal as it may appear. Bear Traps are a huge single-target damage source, curses are still good, and zombie summons do some damage (but mostly just protect the totems).
As safe as the build is, I can't do any further progression in Merciless Act 2 because the upcoming areas have poisoning mobs, and at this point basically any chaos damage will straight kill me. Just need to get upgrades for a couple more items and then I can get Chaos Inoculation.

I love a good fire as much as the next guy, but they aren't as attention-grabbing as fireworks.
I was definitely the one running our little fireworks show. Conveniently, the bigger reloadables come with multiple tubes so I was able to set them off 3-4 at a time.
So how did everyone do at the M14 prerelease? I...didn't go
Honestly the decision to have predatorzergborgterminators slivers be the set mechanic was the thing that kept me away. I refuse to touch one of those abominations

They shut down my freakin LGS. Lost his DCI setup. he is a legal business and has been running DCI sanctioned tournaments for 5 years. They said they wanted pics of his front of store, merch, playspace, and all that. he sent it. nothing. they said he wasn't a business unless he was in commercial area of town, he sent proof he was, nothing. The town he is in and the state still santion him as a legal business ut wizards refuses him DCI system. That's how my prerelease went. got craped on by the man.

Basically played bant removal with a double-color costs in all three colors and very little fixing. Almost every match was durdle until I find Air Servant, find out they don't have removal for Air Servant, win. Did a cut to top 8 draft, which is odd for a prerelease but whatever. Went P1P1 Corrupt but the deck did not come together. Only two Corrupts were opened at the table, and I did get both of them, but I really wanted 1-2 more. Last time I drafted that deck the coreset had Sign in Blood, which I sorely missed. Ended up with only 20 playables and 20 swamps, barely scraped out round one, and top 4 split for 9 packs each. Opened nothing of relevance.

Fun fact, in round 6 I had to beat Kalonian Hydra AND Vastwood Hydra on a Mull to 5 to make top 16. Was a stressful game to say the least... my opponent was less than polite when he lost :/
Made top 8 and lost in the top 4 battle to a very good player. Good games were had and laughs were shared!
Also picked up a 4th Lili of the Veil and a NM Plateau, so it was a good day all around.
On to my half-wit dreams to ever play standard again... I wanna build B/R Crypt Ghast while we still have Devil's Play and Mutilate. I'll post a list for people to tell me how bad I am at brewing in a couple days I think

Forced top down flavor with witches and newts. And a cauldron!
Edit- Our hoser for the set is Lifebane Zombie. I wish it wasn't restricted to creatures, but overall its solid.
