I've recently become obsessed with Les Misérables, to the point where after seeing the film (first experience with the full story in any form) two Saturdays ago, I've watched/listened to the 25th anniversary concert online multiple times and watched the film again last night. And now I've downloaded the soundtrack on iTunes so I can listen to it to and from work as well.
I had been planning on running Dimir at the PR since we saw the guild pack rares, but I get the feeling that it's better to be on the all-in aggro plan, so I will probably go with Gruul instead. Boros is too all-or-nothing for my taste, and with Gruul I will still get to run efficient Evolve dudes without being forced into a (Simic) deck full of terrible topdecks.
I'll be going to three for sure. Maybe four, but that depends on the wife. I have registered Dimir for two, and have not registed for the other, yet. We shall see. I just want as many dimir stickers as possible.
Fix it yourself. I'm borrowing the goblins to make sure that tunnel to the leyline in sector 23 is clear of hazards.
Boo! I'll just work on a replication device to make more goblins... I suppose I could use that old essence extractor to get the power for it. But I'll need goblin, er, volunteers. A conundrum, indeed...

If the music is that good, I may have to check it out. I do enjoy good music. And the sound of metal utensils in a blender (or was it garbage disposal?).

That's one thing that sucks about my hometown. There's only one shop in town running PR's, so I'm limited to 2 realistically. Will probably end up Gruul one day and Boros the next. Add some variety to my Mountains.
Hey! I'm here to serve the Izzet Guild, if you'll have me.
If it's OK, just reply or shoot me a PM.
Definitely! I'll add you to the list of test subjects. Just stick around, jump in the conversation (looks like you have already) and you'll be a full member in no time!
In Magic related news, I scrubbed out of the modern PTQ today. I did not get nearly enough sleep Friday night and paid for it, sigh.
Lately, I've been thinking about playing Legacy. Dies anyone have some ideas for Johnnyish combo decks that can still win fairly consistently?
Four Horsemen is about as deep as you can possibly go while still almost being within the realms of not stalling.
If you actually want realistic, Show and Tell decks are basically the best combo decks in the format. Storm is a thing too. Some of them splash green off a bayou for Aburpt Decay in the sideboard for Counterbalance.
Oh, now that Imperial Recruiters is a Judge Promo, you could try and go for Aluren.

Four Horseman looks awesome! I know I'll be trying that out.
In Stanfard, post GTC, I'll be playing the Vizkopa Guildmage/Exquisite Blood combo.
I'm gonna be going to an EDH tourney in a few hours. Last time, I whipped out Our Great Parun to take 2nd, and I was thinking I'd like to play one of my other decks (since I have 4 and 2 in the works! XD). As much as I'd like to have a sure-win, the tourney isn't that big (as in, the prize payout isn't really worth a cut-throat combo deck). But, TheDirt gets played, and I'm not sure my other decks can handle that as easily as Nivvy can.
It doesn't help that my two control decks have been giving me problems... :/
Well, I'll try out The Judge, and see how that goes.
In other news!
I've been 'walking around, right? And I found a great way to replicate our goblins here. Only problem is that it takes a lot of mana and the goblins produced by it aren't as smart as the originals... I guess they'd make good testing fodder, but they'd be pretty useless for other tasks

I play EDH as well, but with the scummiest deck of the scummy: Scion/Hermit Druid. When playing casual, though, I run Zedruu the Greathearted. Group Hug FTW!
EDIT: What would I have to do to work in the field of Mizzium Manipulation?

I'd recommend being incredibly familiar with everything about the deck before taking it to an event. And get really good at shuffling fast. Since it's not a loop you can repeat with a fixed outcome, you can get slow play warnings which add up to game losses at higher level events.

I'm no expert on tournament level EDH, but Grand Arbiter Augustin can't be a bad choice. Let us know how you end up doing!
EDIT: What would I have to do to work in the field of Mizzium Manipulation?
You get to choose a field once you get promoted to High Mage level. You'll get there by hanging around and contributing to discussions, helping in Clan Contests, etc. It goes Test Subject>Apprentice>Acolyte>High Mage.
Hey everyone its been a while!! How is everyone doing? Hair singed yet?
Well, remember that egg I stole all those months back and have been taking care of? Well, it hatched she's soooo cuttteeeee!!!! And she has the same red and blue hue as our Great Parun!! What should we name her? I'll post images soon, but she's just too cute she burps little puffs of fire every now and then. She can't fly yet, but she crawls around here and there. Anyway, let's have some name ideas. Remember, its a she!!
Also, loving the new Gatecrash spoilers!!!! Woohooooo!!!! What are you gnna run for the prerelease? I'm gonna go Boros myself. Next to the Izzet, they're my favorite guild, and I'm gonna splash in blue, just for kicks cheers!
We're absolutely nuts, as seen by our constant discussion of Commander strategies and decks, we like weirds, the Firemind and sending goblins to do dangerous, potentially lethal jobs in a similar way to the Orzhov treat their thrulls. We're also in a three-way relationship with Clan Mono-Black and House Dimir.
Does that answer your questions? Because I really do need to get back to the construction site.
Wait...what? Aw crap.. I think the time-fluxor is broken...again.. Whoever's in charge of the goblins, make them fix it! XP

Wow, that's one of the biggest GPTs I've heard of period.
Sorry to hear the breakers didn't break favourably.

I find combos like that fun because people never see it coming. Niv-Mizzet forbid it ever becoming a competitive deck, though. Too mainstream

Yeah, whenever I play the Arbiter, it's always pillowfort for me.
Propaganda, Ghostly Prison, Sphere of Safety, and friends all make it nigh-impossible to get through. What they do hit me with, Wall of Denial et al. can handle.
Blind Obedience is gonna be the nuts for that deck.
