So, I got turned down (again) by the same guy. Not that I wasn't expecting it but it still sucks. We had dinner regardless, which is good. We get along really well and I'm hoping we can be friends... I'm unsure whether that's going to happen and whether it's a good idea.
IDK what to do now; life feels kind of hollow at the moment. Skyrim and terraria aren't even holding my interest, I don't know what's wrong with me.

Eh I got rejected by at least 40 guys this week. I had a good breakthrough and a good cry. I've decided to stop pursuing guys for a while and let them come at me. Maybe you give too much of a ****.
Name 4 songs that you like to listen to and we can add it to the gaymer playlist. (I'll add the playlist to the front post.)
Actually I'm requesting this from everyone give me four different songs from different artists that you listen to just on any random day for no reason in particular. That'll be a playlist I'll update to the first post. Then we can do specific songs. IE Name two songs that you listen to because you're sad and you just want to think. We'll turn that into the Emo playlist. Two songs you listen to because you're sad and you don't want to be so they pick you up and we'll make that into a pick me up playlist. I'll put all the playlists together on the first post
blue, I probably do care too much. IDK. It's just rough because I think we would have been awesome together. We get along really well together, and it's depressing I will never get to see where it might have gone, but I'm sure there will be another guy like him. Which brings me to my playlist contributions:
Random:
Circus: Britney
S&M: Rihanna
Rolling in the Deep: Adele
You and I: Gaga

I have finally gotten past my dog's death, from three years ago. I have now done the same thing I did when I first got Chiquita: Adopted from within my own house a dog that wasn't getting enough attention and making her my own. She's sitting in my lap right now. Another chihuahua. Short haired, but soft. Blue. And faaaaaat. But she's exactly what I want in a dog: A lapdog that's happy to sit with me.
In other news, I also got into League of Legends to play with my best friend. I'm enjoying it more than I expected. So if any other Gaymers play, I'd be glad to join up with you for a few runs. I love me some Wukong (big Journey to the West fan). I might go play with the Golden-Compass-Bear at some point. Tristana looks interesting as well.

The human mind likes to explore what-if situations; that is all my thoughts are.
As for you, I'm also sorry to hear about your current dating issues... however, I'm not too concerned. I think you'll be fine, you're positive, active, and confident (can't really comment on appearance, I don't think I've seen any photos of you). Those are all great qualities. A great guy will be come to you, don't worry.
Also, who's going to do hot guy of the week? That's a tradition that needs to be revived...
Alright I'm literally going to put my iTunes on shuffle and see what I get. Mkay, here we go:
Ms. Jackson - OutKast Precious - Esperanza Spalding
Chapter Four - Avenged Sevenfold Jesus of Suburbia - Green Day
Closer - Corinne Bailey Rae Release Me - Agnes
Prayer - Disturbed Supermassive Black Hole - Muse Pumped Up Kicks (Gigamesh Remix) - Foster the People
Lights (Bassnectar Remix) - Ellie Goulding
That should be enough.
(P.S. MY MUSICAL TASTE IS MORE ECLECTIC THAN YOURS. *rawr*)
EDIT: Micah, you can take the bolded ones, they're the best ones imo

I'll take the first four and add it to the list unless you're partial to something specific.
I take a month off to pursue some personal stuff and get it all settled before I pursue a guy I really like.
Finally have things sorted out, get the nerve to pursue him, and he's taken. In a not so serious thing but in a so serious thing that he doesn't want to compromise it.

Yeah, I didn't know any of yours. Foster the People has been something of a one-hit-wonder lately, but I'm not sure how popular my particular remix is. That Ellie Goulding remix has, in some ways, brought dubstep to a new popularity, mostly because of the vocals IMO. "Release Me" was a song that came out a couple years ago, was fairly popular in Europe when I visited for a couple weeks.
Corinne Bailey Rae and Esperanza Spalding are AMAZING female vocalists. Corinne tugs at my heartstrings but Esperanza is significantly more talented, she's a genius. I should add Jill Scott to these two as well....
Fear the Dark - Aquaria Soundtrack - Alec Holowka
- This one is from the game Aquaria. It's not actually part of the game, from what I saw, but an 'extra' track that was added on for the release of the soundtrack. Alec has an awesome way with instruments, and the girl that sings (and also plays the main character) has a wonderful voice. I'm a big fan of bridges, multiple layers of sound, and shifting music. Not to mention climaxes. This has it all.
Finished Symphony - Wide Angle - Hybrid
- From the final level of SSX Tricky. Untracked I believe is the name. It's just an awesome electronica backbeat to a violin score. I'm a great believer in violins, and love them in most anything. This was just done so well. It also has a great sense of movement.
Ghost Love Score - Once - Nightwish
- Nightwish was brought up to me as a band I would like following my enjoyment of Symphony X and Rhapsody of Fire. I agree. Epic metal is fantastic in a lot of ways. Ghost Love Score, just like Fear the Dark, has a lot of bridges, a lot of changes in the music, and the climax is awesome.
Twilight - Origins - Safri Duo
- I first heard Safri Duo from a group of songs recommended to me for DDR steps. The song Rise was the one that really got my attention, and I started exploring their music. Rise is awesome, violins with some sort of hammer-played string instrument. They later added vocals to it, which are just as good. But Twilight really gets my attention. The actual song is great, and the fact that it alternates between native African lyrics (from what I can tell) to an Opera singer is such a wonderful juxtaposition.
Thunderstruck - 25YEARLEGEND: A Legend of Zelda Indie Game Composer Tribute - Mattias Häggström Gerdt
- Cheating again. This one's from a mix of OCRemix music that does a wonderful remix of the Song of Storms. Once again, my favorite bit is the bridges and the violin.
Gerudo Valley - The Legend Of Zelda 25th Anniversary Soundtrack - Koji Kondo
- From the bonus CD for Skyward Sword. You'd be amazed at what an orchestra can do on a simple theme. They made this sound so epic. So many solos on the same theme, but the different backgrounds simply make it happen.
Everlasting Love + You - Katamari Forever - リア・ディゾン
- More cheating. From the Katamari Forever soundtrack. I loved Everlasting Love, which I believe was in We <3 Katamari to begin with. Apparently people agree with me. It got remixed into You Are Smart (one I don't like at all, honestly). The best part of it for me is the translation of Japanese in Everlasting Love to English in Everlasting Love + You. I usually don't like songs that have a fairly simple background melody, but enjoyable lyrics make this one.
Into The Sky - Beautiful Katamari - Itokubo
- Cheating once more. Beautiful Katamari this time. The duet is fantastic, even if I don't understand the lyrics. There's a serious amount of power behind some of the lines. I'm a sucker for a powerful singer.
So guys, it's over. My boyfriend Olliver's citizenship paperwork finally processed and he moved to Brazil to live there for a year to seal the deal (his father is from there and in fact still lives there so Olliver was entitled to citizenship there by birth though that entitlement ends if he doesn't spend a set amount of time there as a resident before he hits 25). We decided to end things on a high note and part on our own terms now rather than attempt an ill-advised long distance thing spanning whole continents. I haven't told most of my friends yet though before he left, Olliver accompanied me to a big post-exam, pre-holiday dinner so he could finally meet the friends he hadn't already met and it was a big success. But I just can't tell them yet. Between this and my annual tepid Christmas, I just don't want the attention from them.
And I knew when we got together that this was inevitable. Olliver was very upfront with me about this being his plan and I told him I was along for the ride - however long it would last. But truth be told, I wanted so badly for him to stay. I practically had to bite my tongue to keep myself from asking him not to go, but I knew how selfish that would be. Can't ask someone to give up their dreams for you, no matter how much you might want to.
Which is not only mature, I'll bet that meant a lot to him. to know that you're along with him, supporting him the whole way. I'd give a lot for that type of support, yanno?

I'm so, so sorry to hear about having to be separated from your boyfriend. I can relate so much to this because In a different way I believe this is why my ex broke up with me, because he was afraid of being separated after being together... sort of in reverse of what you experienced in this scenario. Long distance is so difficult. You're such an awesome person for letting him go and putting your own desires aside to see him off and doing something he strongly desires to do.
Eh I got rejected by at least 40 guys this week. I had a good breakthrough and a good cry. I've decided to stop pursuing guys for a while and let them come at me. Maybe you give too much of a ****.
This is kinda the point I've gotten to. It's not been near as much this (I'm sure you're exaggerating on the number) as I really don't go out of my way anymore to try to find companionship or whatever, but I'm definitely tired of being let down and disappointed by the ones I thought actually had a good chance of working out. At this point I'm just feeling "whatever" about it.

Nope no exaggeration on the number. Why would you be so sure of that? My mindset is if they don't want me, then they're not right for me. I find the funniest thing is some of the guys I find cute complain that there's no one out there who can carry a good conversation. But then you try to talk to them and they ignore you. I get this mental image of people with boxes on their heads made of soundproof glass. Some have clear boxes all the way around with speakers so you can talk to them and they can talk to you while others have each side of the box blacked out except for the one where their eyes can look through. And their speakers are hidden and locked up with a password activated by a camera. Ya can't get in unless you pass the physical scan. The people with the speakers are great at conversation but won't pass the physical scan. The people with the security devices and blinders will pass the physical scan but have never learned how to have a conversation. So they all keep talking to each other and ***** that no one has a brain.

Well she's an old lady, anything that doesn't kill her is laughable.
Yes yesss the allure of the thread is working CrusCrus. Become enveloped. Share you taste in men/women with the group.
Have you guys ever looked up your zodiac stuff just for fun? I looked mine up and it was pretty accurate (for both the Western zodiac and the chinese zodiac as well).
This could be fun:
I'm a water pig (1983) and I'm most compatible with a sheep/rabbit. I'm also a Scorpio (which is akin to the pig anyway). I'll just believe that makes me the awesomest haha. Dubs water signs. I wanna find a virgo sheep/rabbit and have a go at it.
I'm just stopping by to wish all those who celebrate Christmas, a happy, safe a wonderful next couple days on [House Dimir]s behalf and from the bottom of my heart. Being the season of charity, we promise not to lobotize any of you without a darn good reason until December 26.
LoL. Anywho, Merry Christmas!

I dunno, I guess 40 guys sounded so excessive/bordering on the obsessive that I thought you were just using hyperbole for effect and didn't think you actually meant 40 guys.

Thanks to the [Æther] shop for the sig!

Just gonna go with the shuffle route here, as well

That sucks, man, but at least you did the right thing. I know virtue is cold solace, but I'm sure it means a lot to him to know he has your support.

In other news, I moved interstate twice in one week! Currently shacked up in Melbourne with my temperamental room-mate (women!) and trying my hardest not to get lost. FUN FACT: Today I walked into a revolving glass door. This city business is hard work.
In other, other news, how in the Ninth Sphere do I get my name on the front page? You guys don't actually expect me to frequent this thread, do you? </snark>
*I have an entire playlist dedicated to sad songs. It is called "/wrist" and it is amazing.
What do you mean you walked into a revolving glass door?
Yes...yess you must come to the thread. COME.
Y'all do yours for funnery.
LoL. Anywho, Merry Christmas!

I don't get it. What's that supposed to be? Gymnast?
I dunno, I guess 40 guys sounded so excessive/bordering on the obsessive that I thought you were just using hyperbole for effect and didn't think you actually meant 40 guys.
