Maybe I'm just misremembering, but it seems as though the Tokyo Ghoul Route A anime is heavily diverging from the manga for reasons that I can't quite figure out short of just ending it at some point. But Tokyo Ghoul already had a definite ending, so color me very confused. I'm aware that the first season had a few divergences, but no where near the magnitude that this season has in a mere four episodes.
Yes the second season changes a lot, it seems to be an alternative story route where instead of returning to the coffee shop he follows Aogiri Tree, its interesting to see how the paths converge or diverge.

Does any one knows of any good cosplay pattern shops or websites? I want to do a xellos cosplay this summer.
Not really. Since I do all of my costumes myself (sometimes with some help from friends), all that I order online are wigs and nothing more. However, if you need some suggestions for wig-shops, let me know.

Then, any good one? I'm shopping my materials next week to make my Xellos costume. I was thinking of going with cotton for the pants, something a little bit more fancy for the shirt and something more durable for the cape. You can give me as much advice as you want too since it would be my forst time making my own costume from almost A to Z (wig is to be ordered and the staff, well I'm thinking if I should special rder it at a shop in montreal).

Casual crazy magic player, otaku maniac, unrully cosplayer, what did you expect me to be?
If Tatsumi at least dies a warrior's death vs a hero's death, I'll be a bit happier. Everyone else has at least died in some form of battle opposed to getting crushed by a Gundam to save people. Even though Chelsea and Luba died a dog's death while escaping, it was still somewhat on a battlefield. I also lol'd pretty hard when Esdeath was like, "I was going to miss his vitals during the execution, so I could make it look like I killed him and then keep him for myself."
If Mein is going to stay comatose forever, then the death she got in the anime would have been better where she actually got to say her goodbye to Tatsumi before dying. But yeah, everyone else who died on Night Raid was killed by more or less the same person in the anime.
Sheele's death was the same.
Bulat's death was the same.
Chelsea's death was the same.
Susano still died fighting Esdeath.
Luba killed Shura adn then died right after being killed by someone who wasn't in the anime, but he died in the same time frame being right after he killed Shura.
Mein basically still died fighting Budo.
Leone hasn't died yet, but that's likely happening in the foreseeable future.
I was really surprised Najenda didn't die considering. I'm sure her lifespan was greatly reduced tho, so she probably won't last.
I'm really hoping Tatsumi won't die to falling gundam death or something similar if they do kill him off.
Akame likely won't die since it's her name on the title.
Kantai Collection (The franchise meta has been around for so long, so might as well watch it, it's faring quite well since I pretty much expected mostly Slice-of-Life with some action and the action has been better than what I expected in terms of both quantity and quality.) Otherwise, just continuing Log Horizon S2.
I was already cringing when the Ultimate Teigu was a giant mecha - I mean nothing's really wrong with it, but it feels too cliche that the Ultimate Teigu had to be largest one, I sorta hope that the Manga version is something more unexpected, although looking at Budou, I'm not particularly hopeful in that department.
As for Tatsumi... I don't think he would have survived even if he didn't stop the Ultimate Teigu from crushing people though, he was already worn out to oblivion by the time he did the last charge. Yes, it's a sour feeling, but... actually I'm just annoyed the Ultimate Teigu is a huge mecha - it falling over would be the natural result of its defeat anyway.
I actually expected Esdeath to do what she did, she's too obsessed with Tatsumi to just let him go.
I don't think Mine will be comatose forever... the point of her going comatose instead of just dying is simple... is for her to wake up... after Tatsumi has perished... to achieve maximum "feels" from the audience... which is what the series wants. The series is not simply about killing people, it's about inducing agony and the best formula for that in a relationship is to only remove one side... which is incidentally why I think Najenda is alive - Lubo is gone and so is Suu.
Leone has always has had the Death Flag on her since it was revealed this was the Death Flag series - "Big Sister Mentor" types always get that (Well, look at "Big Bro Mentor" Bulat). If anything, Leone's death in the anime annoyed me more than Tatsumi's - at least Tatsumi died a hero's death after a warrior's battle... the same can't be said for Leone. The minister's Teigu was even worse than the Ultimate Teigu as well, how did a one-use Teigu like that survive for generations in the first place?
Akame is the only character immune to all Death Flags - her "relationship" is with Kurome, and we knew Kurome's never going to survive the series (even before we had the anime to spell it out for us). That said, I liked Kurome's Teigu the best though. Oh, and Akame pays the price by having very little focus for a title character to the point they needed a spin-off for her
@Soriel: I've used wig-supplier and various sellers from eBay. Though I don't know where you live, you could always try checking if any local shops do sell wigs and fix it to look like you need it to look.
Also, I'm back. I met Gen Urobutchi (writer of Madoka Magica, Saya no Uta, Psycho-Pass etc.) last weekend and got a signature. Also went and listened a lecture about physics in anime and it was worth it (it handled stuff like how much energy a Magcargo outputs)!

Analyzing physics in anime is likely to kill many a kitten or cat girl since physics doesn't apply to anime. Like the magic skirt that will never show you underneath. Or the absolute cleavage (like Merlin in Nanatsu no Taizai or Avril from Franken Fran or Kureha in Tokko) that never has wardrobe malfunctions.

I saw anime physics in action. The cleavage at the mall was moving the exact same way some anime cleavages move. I was like WTF, anime physics can be real?
As for the cleavage that never has wardrobe malfunction, ever heard of double sided tape? Stick it to your cloths, then stick your clothes to your skin! There's even the kneesocks glue that prevents neesocks for ending down the girls anckles!

That would be real physics for real life boobs being mimicked by anime boobs then. Art mimics life or whatever. And I doubt anime characters use double sided tape... And even using tape, I'm sure there'd be wardrobe malfunctions...
EDIT: So we're half way through winter and I am super excited for some of the spring shows announced...
Triage X
Nisekoi S2
Nagato Yuki-chan no Shou*****su
Nanoha Vivid
High School DxD S3
Ghost in the Shell: Arise
Fate/Stay Night: UBW S2
My spring watch list: Arland Senki, Denpa Kyoushi, Dungeon, Etotama, Kyoukai no Rinne, (will get it but might not watch it) Nisekoi 2 (still needs to finish s1), Owari no Seraph, Plastic Memories, Punchline (don't know why, just saw the title, the image and the desc on anichart, might be good after a few episodes), Vampire Holmes, Yamada-kun. There's also the Angel Beats special and suisei no Gargantia OVA.
Edit: Started reading the Akatsuki no Yona manga and the Isuca manga.
Anything that's good. Some exclusions: Yaoi, BL and other non-sense a part of the general fan population find interesting. I'm waiting for my last 2 Spice and Wolf mangas that I'm ordering on Indigo (I also order the novels the same way, got 8 volumes of the manga in 4 weeks with only a week of waiting between the order and the reception). I don't mind if you suggest me some shojo titles (surprisingly, some are really good and us guys are missing on the fun, like when I started reading Akatsuki no Yona, which is a Shojo manga).

Also, watched Tokyo Ghoul S1 and S2. S2 seems to super deviate from the manga and leaves bounteous plot holes by the end. Perhaps they're planning to gerry rig an S3 out of that trainwreck? I only started reading the manga because I remember someone saying that S2 was ***** (and they were right for the most part) compared to what happened in the manga. I'm at chapter 100/143 currently... And they've definitely filled some plot holes that the anime left... Makes me sad that there isn't as much Touka action currently...
EDIT: So the ending was pretty open-ended for the Tokyo Ghoul manga too... It still gave a bit more closure than the anime tho... Cuz for the anime, you don't know if Amon actually died or not, but they didn't find his body at the end of the manga either, but it's implied that Aogiri Tree may have taken him. Similar to how Eto took her father at the end. In both the anime and manga, it wasn't really explained what happened to the twins (NAshiro and Kurona). In the manga it sounded like Kanou fixed them back up, but I'm not sure. It's also not really explained whether Kaneki was revived by Aogiri Tree at the end or not either. I assume that Kaneki ate Hide in the sewer. Kinda like I assumed that Arima killed Koma and Kaya. At least in the anime, they leave you to think what you want happened to them. It was kind of aggravating that they didn't explain why Yomo took Rize and then what happened to Rize as well. It's never really explained why Eto is covered in bandages either...
(Once again posting to remember the other members of the clan that we need to stay alive).
I'm watching Re-Kan, Kyokai no Rinne, Arslan Senki, World Trigger and grabbing a few older animes at the same time. Re-Kan is fairly decent and is incredible if you compare it to the less tastefull animes of the season, like Punch Line.

My biggest problem with watching an anime that has an ongoing manga is that i always feel like a) they will catch up to the manga too quickly or b) that they will not have enough seasons to get to the parts i want, its partly the reason why Bakuman is a great anime but vastly inferior to the manga (and the manga itself feels a bit rushed also which is sad).
That said, when in doubt? Watch Oppai

Sepiriel, I know what you are watching right now: Triage X. True, it's an original and entertaining anime. Only problem with me, the girls in the anime have too much oppai.
I started reading the official traduction of No Game No Life from Yen Press, I also have the 14 volumes of Spice and Wolf from Yen Press (as well as all the mangas that actually got out) and I also have volume 1 of Log Horizon, still in light novel. Might grab the Dungeon light novel and some SAO volumes next. I love ordering my books online on Indigo! Saves me a trip to Montreal!
Now, did anyone notice the next seasons anime are already starting to be listed? There's going to be Cyborg 009 edition 2015.

What wouldn't we do to get our hands on some animes BD. We go to cons, stand up in humongous lines for events and even order online, spending huge amount of time just to increase our collections. Drugs would be cheaper, but less enjoyable.

You wouldnt buy 20,000 AKB48 CD's... yeah i know it sounds completely irrelevant but the fact is that the level of obsession that japanese show is in another level, and when an industry like the anime/manga industry requires THAT level of obsession to make a profit it shows why they do no more than a token effort (by their standards) on western markets.
Also you are right, i AM watching Triage X, but i am also watching Highschool DxD ReborN, Assassination Classroom and bunch of other ones.
