Have we decided how the Magic Wars will work with relation to Pro Tour invites?
If the Magic Wars has significance to the Pro Tour, thenit totally fixes the intended release date of June-July, as this would work well as an opener to the Winter Pro Tour season.
It's going to be a two-month competition, with a no-elimination point-based system that will lead to one winner. If the competition were to start at June, then the sign-ups would begin a week or two before that time to allow people to start (if we do do it June, then it's some nice down-time for people who didn't make Pro Tour to recollect themselves and throw themselves at it with renewed vigor for the Winter season). Thinking about it, I would prefer it to be June/July regardless of its involvement in the Pro Tour.
What more, specifically, is required to make the call? I'll discuss it with Lynx and Diefi.

I like the reasoning for the timing there.
I guess I'm just interested in making sure the structure for the game is somewhat complete before we go ahead.
How will it be scored? How will the winner(s) be chosen?

Just be careful!
Also, I've had a look at the Magic Wars discussion and I have to say I really like what they have going on there. Very good stuff.

Also, I'm going to institute a formal process for proposing and implementing CF games.
This will be the process we follow from now on:
1. Have a good idea.
2. Create a post in the thread that follows the following template:
Quote from Your Post »
Club Flamingo Game Proposal: [Your Game's Title]
Overview: This should be a general overview of the game. Think elevator pitch. Get people excited.
Duration: This should almost always be 1 month. If not, clearly explain why.
Game Structure: Is the contest single elimination? Can people stay in to the end? This is where you should address the various logistical issues of the game.
Challenge Structure: Please include some concrete examples of round-by-round challenges. It's ok if you're not totally sure yet! Put your ideas out there so we have something to work with.
Judging Structure: Similarly, how do you propose the game be judged? Public vote? Panel of judges? This is less crucial info, but try to cover all of your bases. This should also include how to select the ultimate winner of the game.
3. Discuss the proposal! This can be here in the thread or via chat. We'll hash out the merits of the game and expand on it.
4. If your game has support from people, it may be selected and added the the queue. At this point, the onus is on you to find at least one other backup organizer and flesh out the game completely by the time it is to be run. This means having everything ready: Challenges, banners if you want them, etc. You may of course seek assistance from anybody in the clan for this.
5. When the time comes, make the game thread and have it go live! If all goes well we'll have a big hit that people will want us to run again in the future.
General guidelines:
1. CFGs are supposed to be Monthly Qualifiers; that is, they produce one winner who is then qualified for the CCC&G Pro Tour. Your game should do this.
2. Likewise, the game should be able to start and and within 1 month.
3. Any clan member can propose a game. Anybody can discuss it. Anybody can participate once a game goes live.
4. You propose it, you run it! Everybody should have a turn. You won't be alone, though, as I'll make sure that you have at least one backup organizer (it might be me!).
5. Bottom line: Games should be fun. Before you propose a game, take a second and think "would I have fun playing this game?" If so, you're probably on the right track.
EDIT: I reposted this below so that I could have a clean post to link to in the OP.
So, here's the (initial) banner I've designed for the Magic Wars, which I feel okay with posting because it doesn't spoil anything and I like the way it turned out.
Yes they are all cards with the war "War" in the name. I'm uncreative; sue me.
I've always liked Lanxal's banners, he does well with Magic art. For the clan contest, are we going to try to do any original art, use Magic art, or use some other images? My main thematic idea is for it to be presented as a really grandiose sort of thing with shiny gold lettering or what not, maybe with the title on a stage with a bunch of people watching, or in some kind of theateresque setting. I think the Roman Senate is the main image I have here, sort of columns in the background and finely dressed guys presenting the letters as though they are the emperor. I could probably make a terrible rendition of this in paint if you guys want to see more, but better ideas are good too.
Maybe it should blend Magic and non-Magic stuff, since only about half of the clans really seem to be about the game.

I'm amazed by your skill, really. I like how there are four cards shown, but I feel like that the cards should be more closely related to the teams. In the initial Magic Wars, I tried to have the teams go: Good - Bad - Lawful - Chaos. I know that the teams of this Magic Wars will change but I think the cards should follow this pattern. In addition, I'd prefer them all to be creatures or at least depict some characters. The reason being is I feel that Contested War Zone looks sorta out of place. I also like how each card follows the same color to give it a nice blending effect.

Club Flamingo Game Proposal: The Battle Factory Overview: The Battle Factory is an attempt to translate the mini-game of the same name from Pokemon into CCC+G. In Pokemon, the challenger receives 6 pokemon randomly at the start, chooses 3, and then battles 7 opponents in a row who themselves have randomly generated Pokemon. After each round, the player swaps one of his or her 3 Pokemon for one of his or her defeated opponent's Pokemon. Duration: 5 rounds (can be done in one month) Game Structure: The Battle Factory will be single elimination, ideally starting at 32 players and cutting in half every round. Challenge Structure: We will create a master list of restrictions. At the beginning of the game, each player will receive 6 randomly selected challenges, choose 3 of them, and make three cards that fit the restrictions. If a player wins a round, he or she must take one of his or her opponent's restrictions, dropping one of their own. Judging Structure: Players will be randomly paired. A public poll will determine who advances in each pair.
Club Flamingo Game Proposal: Mini GDS2 (placeholder)
Overview: In Round 1, players will be asked to design the storyline and flavor from the set, as well as design some splashy cards.
Duration: One month
Game Structure: The bottom X are eliminated.
Challenge Structure: For example, now that everybody has developed and laid the groundwork of the set, I would ask them to expand on a mechanic from that set, or define a color's role in that set, or expand upon a tribe that set has, or ask them to design some commons.
Judging Structure: This is public voting, lowest X are eliminated.

My initial idea was that there would be fighters on either side of the banner, and then more emptier pieces in the middle. Looking at it again, I realize that that is unnecessary.
void hasn't responded to me on FB yet. Was anybody else privy to the rounds and things he had planned?

Suspended again!?
I both feel really sad and extremely angry at this.
Three months?! I mean, seriously. That is June.
In any case, I'm probably not going to be of much use. I rarely have the time nowadays, what with numerous things (both MTGS and RL) on my plate.
