I'm cutting the chase: If were to hold Clan Contest Mafia this year soon, would you guys be interested in it?
(No problem if you haven't played earlier or aren't expert: As long as you are interested and willing to try, it's enough!)

Any of you played Dragon Ball Xenoverse yet? I've been binging on it pretty hard for the last month or so, such an awesome game. Currently rocking a level 89 male Saiyan with:
Supers:
Perfect Shot
Kamehameha x10
Maximum Charge
Galick Beam Cannon
Evasive Skill:
Super Explosive Wave
Ultimates:
Super Saiyan
Perfect Kamehameha
Equipment is full 4 Star Dragonball outfit, Tagoma's Scouter and "No More Games" for my Z-Soul.
I have been giving my attention to GTA 5 online, monster hunter, and my newly acquired God of War saga. I beat 1 and 2 on ps2 and had been looking for a good reason to pick up 3 to finish the story. Five dollars for the saga seemed like a good reason!
I've been also trying out some board and other card games at a LGS about 45 mins away. I really enjoy Lords of Waterdeep and a kickstarter game called Peasant Buffet. I urge anyone to try either of those if you get a chance.
I have also been focusing on my kids and getting myself out in the world more so I can better my life after having problems for the last 6 months nearly. Mtg has, unfortunately, fallen to the wayside. I still keep up with digital media though and new spoilers.
Just got out from doin' 6 months in the hole... it's a bright & shiny world... w/ really crappy Eldrazi, lol...
You got suspended for 6 months?
Yup, a mod was getting under my skin, so I called him "Slimy." - that got me a slap on the wrist. I then cursed out the same mod in Yiddish - got a 3 week suspension. I then jumped to a profile I had made a few weeks earlier & got a 6 mo. suspension for "evading the suspension."
Well, time for a game of catch up w/ all of you:
1) My game (a living card game) that I have designed w/ Chris & Greg Kluwe is going to be reviewed by a very large game company this month (September). I can't give the details yet of the company, but they are one of the largest game manufacturer's in the world. I'll keep everyone updated as time passes.
2) Hit the jack pot when I bought a collection for $125. 6 cards in the collection I sold for $400. The rest of the cards have either been put into decks, set aside for decks, put into my trade binder, and other good ones in the !7 - $15 range have already been traded on Puca Trade. The end result of all of the PT trading? TWO TARMOGOYF'S!!!! Couldn't be happier (since I had to sell 3 copies of 'Goyf four years to get rent $$$ when two deadbeat roommates wouldn't work - but that's another story).
Not sure if clan is dead or just taking a very long break...
Hey all! I have been taking a long break. My Magic interest dropped below 0 for some time due to lack of players and being unenthused with recent sets with cards that seem only good for limited play. Really uninspiring. I am hoping to change that! I need two things from you before I start:
1) A rundown of your goings-on. Let everyone know how you are getting along. As casual players, the bond we share is as important as the game.
2) An inspiration that really hits the spirit of Magic circa pre KHANS block. I really have disliked most of the cards as they each didn't seem to have any build around potential for kitchen table play. They may have filled roles in Abzan good stuff decks or the eldrazi deck everyone seems to be throwing together, but it takes so much more to really hit me right in the casual feels.
Looks like Stooge got suspended for 6 months then returned for a bit and got suspended for another 6 months. I'm not saying it's right or wrong. Just wow, that's a long time.
I went to my first ever FNM last weekend. The last time I did organized play at an LGS was before FNM existed. We did SOI booster draft. I was pretty rusty but managed to go 1-1-1. I had a blast

Soooooo...
This thread used to be a thing. Maybe it could be again? Let's see if we can make it so again.
My magic interest has been somewhat reignited by Kaladesh. It is hitting all the right spots for me. I love vehicles and would like to build a control deck with Skysovereign. Said deck would have to include creature cards that could stall an opponent while still being tapped or trigger on tapping or untapping. I can't decide on B/U, R/B, or U/R. I think U/R will be the way to go maybe. Said deck would also need a cool name to go with it. Crews Control has a nice ring to it.
Outside of that, life has been pretty good. Just got ahold of an old playstation 1001 model someone threw out (it still works!). Ordered a mod chip for about $9 US and hope to be running that thing in no time. Next step: spend the $20 US for a PS2 chip. The 17 wire solder part has me worried as my soldering skills are very subpar. Man, I love modifying consoles, be it hardware or software related.
Other than all that, I've been working and spending time with kids and turning the big 3-5. I'm getting old
Show me what you got for my deck idea, your own idea, or just what's been happening with you. Let's get this up and running again!

Kaladesh has got me really excited too - lots of awesome cards to tinker with. I'm particularly liking the look of Paradoxical Outcome. If only I could complete my set of P9 for lots of Mox-fueled fun with it! With your Skysovereign, Consul Flagship deck, how about some of the inspired creatures? Aerie Worshippers and Satyr Nyx-Smith in particular look like good fits.
As for what's been happening with me - I've had a bit of a change with my career and hopefully will start training as an accountant soon, which I'm pretty excited for.
I went straight for the inspired creatures first! However, my take on the deck will require Mana to still be available for a counter if need be so that I may protect my vehicles as they do their thing. I'm looking for more mid-range options as opposed to late game.
Good luck with the new job! Accounting is not something I have been excited about at any point that I can remember, but best wishes to you. Especially if it increases your quality of life.
Buenos noches all! Been a loooong minute since I have been around.
UPDATE TIME!
1) I got engaged over the summer - Michelle said yes! No date has been set yet.
2) The card game I have been working on the past 2 years has been picked up by a local game production company called Victory Point Games. We are in production, from the just-passed summer, into mid-winter. We will have a Kickstarter campaign to sell pre-orders in either late December or early January. My biz partner is friends w/ Whil Weaton and Neil Gaiman, who have expressed an interest in helping us spread the word & get the hype going.
Chris & Greg, my biz partners, will be demoing the game, called Twilight of the Gods, for the first time at Google's Boardgamegeek Con in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Nov. 16th - 20th.
Hey Stooge! I'm glad you're back. The clan has been mostly dead while you were gone. Maybe that will change with your return. I'm always up for a clan CDCC or GMAD.
Hey all. Haven't been by in a bit... was hoping there'd be more chatter.
Well, sorry I didn't post earlier, but remember the game I designed? It's now on Kickstarter, called Twilight of the Gods. It's doing great on KS. I want to just share it w/ all of you before the KS campaign is over in a few days. It ends on Thursday, 11am Pacific Time. Below is the link. If it sounds like a game you'd enjoy, I would appreciate it if the word of it can be spread around.
Wow, the cobwebs here are HUUUUGGGEEE... lol. Well, wondering if anyone is going to Gen Con in August? We (Twilight of the Gods) will have a booth there & we are having our official debut there. Would love if any of the Clan KTF can drop by if already attending.
Hey Stooge. It's good to hear from you. I'm on the east coast, so I won't be attending. I think a few of us still lurk on the board if we want to try a clan GMAD or CDCC.

It is kinda already East Coast. It's in Indianapolis, Indiana. I'm down for a clan GMAD (or, CMaD or KTFMaD, if you follow, lol).

I wish I could as I live about three hours south. I've been wanting to go to a Con for years! It would be pretty cool. I'll tell my friends that are going to stop by and check it out though.
I'ma a lurkin'... and a jerkin' and a spurtin' all over the place, j/k. I'm usually found in other parts of the 'Salv, like Rumor mill or Market Street Cafe.
News from Twilight of the Gods land:
If anyone is at BGG Con (Board Game Geek) in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, or happen to live in that area of Texas (or are passing through), come visit me & Chris Kluwe at the Victory Point Games table in the dealer room. We'll be demoing Twilight of the Gods from Nov. 15th [Thurs.] (10am to 5pm) to Nove. 17th [Sat.] (10am to 5pm) and Nov. 18 [Sun.] (10am to 1pm).
Drop by... say "hello" & introduce yourself as I would like to meet another Finker in real life & learn my game & get in some games & enjoy this run-on sentence...
Somehow we keep missing the retired clan thread by mere inches. Here's a post to keep up the tradition.
Been going solely commander playing for the past year and it doesn't seem I'll stop. My 60 card decks rot in my deckbox now...:(
However, I keep it casual at the table and look for any reason to build a deck around an unusual theme rather than a highly efficient build. Arcades, the Strategist is in testing phase right now. I love me some defenders!
Other than that I jumped on the Minecraft bandwagon after swearing it off. My kids love it and I discovered I love resource hunting and applying practical build applications. It sounds boring, but it's a wonderful time for me.
Hope you all are well.
Until a year from now, see you guys and gals around.
Since clans haven't been established @ Nexus, we can still carry the torch here. BTW (please keep this on the DL since I believe I had made a reputation here for me) I have taken a new handle on Nexus: DrFunkenstein. Gunna start afresh...
Check out my casual "Eggs" tribal deck, lol (really, I am serious).
On another note: I will be moving to Georgia next November. I'll be about an hour south of Atlanta. Anyone from the East Coast?

I thought I was bad. I think I accumulated something like 21 or so infractions. Acutally I have 41 things on my http://www.mtgsalvation.com/members/130704-theendisnear/warnings page. Eesh.
Nothing since 2014, you get better.
Glad to hear you had fun at FNM
