Been a bit busy with a few things recently, but Aurora has a new music quiz here. A medium-difficulty quiz, made by taking songs from previous quizzes.
EDIT after a few days - this quiz seems to be my most "reasonable difficulty" quiz; it's not entirely easy, but it's nowhere near as difficult as my usual quizzes.
Quiz making, a bit of Super Mario Maker level making, practicing on the Bach Prelude and Fugue (A major, book 1, BWV 864). Watching too many live streams (mostly also SMM, and sometimes Jackbox games too). That's what I've been doing.
Also, played some MM3 on the weekend (but with a friend's box so we didn't keep our cards). We didn't have too much time to finish a full three matches, but I did well with a WUB deck that everyone seemed to be scared of (people kept passing some removal spells to me, so I had a few Agony Warp and Grisly Spectacle, and usually I also used Wing Splicer and Momentary Blink to good effect).
Mass Effect: Andromeda. Knitting. Writing. You know, the usual things. That's what I've been up to.
Are you liking ME:A? I've heard mixed reviews so far.
So...writing? Whatcha writing? I have something in the editing stage set for Amazon. My wife offered to edit it for me, but it's been sloooooooow going because she's been busy with other things. (I don't use "well" now nearly as often as I used to! )
I've drafted MM17 a few times with mixed results: won an FNM with Jund aggro and another draft with GW Tokens/Populate (pulled a Tarmogoyf in that pull! ), lost yesterday when I spent my first few draft picks waffling between two completely different archetypes. Ended up with slow Grixis Control w/ a splash so I could use both Niv Mizzet and Simic Skyswallower. So naturally I get paired against someone with a RW Aggro deck that runs like a sewing machine.
I'm waiting on Mass Effect: Andromeda since I'm playing through Zelda: Breath of the Wild ( which is great).
I passed a Cyclonic Rift because I'm not good at Magic (during the draft I mentioned in my previous post... yeah, there were two of them in the draft... but then again, I think it was a Wing Splicer that I took over the second Cyclonic Rift, and the Wing Splicer is a card that contributed significantly to my wins). Somehow I still had enough other good stuff to still do stuff (an Extractor Demon somehow made its way to me from halfway across the table during the second booster, even past another player who was playing black).
You remembered baking cookies in ancient Egypt, but forgot about the whole attorney stint? I suppose gleaning the darkest secrets of bakecraft is a far more significant experience.
By the way, I'm seconds away from firing up Mass Effect Andromeda for the first time. Let's see if it lives up to the hype.
Thread title change - I guess go with Lord Grey's suggestion above.
But... cookies? Should we expect to find cookies in Amonkhet then?
Also, what does everyone here think of the style of the Masterpieces? The main thing for me is the fact that they don't really look like Magic cards as the fonts are totally different everywhere. The all-caps text is also kinda overbearing... I think it looks cool on the one-liner effects, but kinda tacky otherwise.
Only the best kind and not too flammable. You hate going to all the effort of crafting a quality zombie, only to see your hard work go up in flames because they catch fire too easily.
Well, I shouldn't be too surprised. The writing's been on the wall. Or lack thereof.
When I first joined [The Crafters] it was a bustling hub of creativity. We had puzzles, music, illustrations, videos, knitting, voice work, recipes, custom cards, RPing, and the rare sculpture or two. But those times have clearly passed. These days it's rare to see three different people posted here in the same week. Truth be told, not much Crafting going on these days (with the exception of Sharpie who remains prolific in good times and bad. Love those quizzes and always have). And when those precious few of us who produce something share it, there isn't nearly enough recognition or even critique.
I've been coming to MTGS for only three reasons: sharing ideas with my fellow Crafters, the GreyCorps thread, and Spoiler Season. As the first two items on the list aren't happening anytime soon, there's little reason to continue investing in this organization or the "Lord Grey" character and his mythos.
So, with heavy heart I announce my departure from [The Crafters].
As much as I'd like to continue these creative exploits or just simply talk about whatever, most everyone else have moved on to other (in all likelihood more important) things. I did have some good times with my fellow clan mates over the years and I'm grateful for them.
Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors, (craft-related and otherwise).

Writing... I've got a few things in flight, trying to see what interesting stuff I can come up with.

As a side note: I am very angry at Adult Swim last night. I didn't get a new Samurai Jack. :/
