From the look of things we haven't seen a lot of our fellow Crafters lately. But PG's absence has been a long one, at least since last fall. Hopefully this is just a sign of him having a very successful business and being too busy to post here.
Lamont: "Right on that, Genevieve.
"In case you haven't met her yet, she's our General Manager / Administrator of Occasional Pain. Seeing as this whole 'RP' thing is leading nowhere you probably won't have the pleasure. Which is a good thing considering how convoluted this whole alternate Multiverse is. The camera will simply pan out as we presumably toil away for all eternity, then fade to black.
"Done. Finito. Love does not conquer all. No happily ever after.
*Retrieves his flask and takes a few swigs*
"Letting something like 'love' enter my cold magically preserved heart? That certainly didn't jive with the Old Man's plans. What the hell was I thinking?"
I have gotten the occasional request from PG in the smashing sweets world though...
And... the RP is just hitting the fade to black here? I almost thought there was going to be a revolt of some sort... although of course I'd be very doubtful on the success of an uprising in this situation.
A. Fade to black, thus ending GreyCorps Interplanar Adventures and any further allusions to its characters, locale, or other things. Except a potential final wrap up scene.
B. Continue the interplanar adventures: find a way to better your situation and perhaps find out what the hell Lamont's talking about. Frequent participation a MUST, lest this whole thing drag on for ANOTHER year. Only choose Option B if you're willing to commit.
So changed password due to Cloudbleed bug, thought I would stop by.
I have been ok, just started Node JS studying before next semester in the Fall.
Also studying to become a MTG Level 1 judge eventually. I do apologize to the Clan for not being super active.

Let's talk about games.
Video Game Discussion! What are y'all currently playing? What's your favourite games? Would you recommend either?
Tabletop Discussion! What's the last tabletop you guys played? What's the best tabletop story you have?
I've been playing a lot of Warframe lately. It's been quite a blast but I wouldn't really recommend it unless y'all dont mind grinding for a bit to get to the point of being able to do endgame content (Which is primarily grinding more things to get more stuff to unlock cosmetic items :V).
As far as tabletop goes? I've been playing (besides magic) Pathfinder. Currently running a Gnome Cleric who found an android (Another PC) and is claiming it as his property. It's been fun but I really need to refine my character, he's been a bit insane so I'm a bit worried I'll lose sight of how my character should be playing from his standpoint.
Kudos to pet snake for offering up great discussion points!
The last new video game I played was...uh...Fallout 4, I think? I've been replaying a lot of old X360 games with my daughter and our budget's a little too tight and my free time a little too short for risky expenditures. At some point, I plan on getting Witcher 3. Horizon Zero Dawn looks pretty awesome and I hear buzz about a new Mass Effect game coming soon. Lot of talk about the Nintendo Switch too. I do a lot of voice-over work for Commonwealth Realm on YouTube and they are all about the new Zelda game for the Switch.
As to tabletop games, I can't even remember the last one I played. This year marks the 20th anniversary of my groundbreaking tabletop game called Mydriarch. I know PG's played it before.
Though not all decks of these color compositions revolve their respective shard or wedge's mechanics, it's common to use those names as a way to easily grok said color combinations (ex: Bant Company, Saheeli Jeskai, Mardu Vehicles). Not really a fan of this naming convention, but at least it's more descriptive than naming the deck after a breakfast cereal.
Video games: Playing a lot of Final Fantasy Brave Exvius on my phone. I know it suffers immensely from power creep and is essentially a "pay to win" game (either pony up some $$$ for those sweet 6🌟 units or expect to grind for months), but it serves up the member berriers. I leveled Shadow up all the way before realizing he is literally the worst unit in the game (every other ninja in the game can Throw shuriken right off the bat, but Shadow can't do it until he earns his Loyalty reward...which is an agonizingly slow process!) Not doing too much console gaming, but I'm looking forward to Mass Effect Andromeda.
Tabletop Games: Closest thing to a tabletop game I've played was Mage Knight (the original "Clix" game) and that was about a decade ago. Tried to get into Warmachine around the same time, but it never came to fruition (collected a small Protectorate squad and that was it). I enjoyed Dreamblade during its very short lifetime; it had potential, but suffered from complexity creep and being a collectable miniatures game with random minis.
Magic, because this is a Magic site: Modern Masters 2017 looks to have the goods. Glad I preordered my box before the inevitable price spike.
Video Games: Still playing Super Mario Maker here (I like seeing live streams because I can get my levels played there). Another one I have fun with is the Jackbos Party Pack (games you play using your phone, also fun with streams, also the source of my Fibbage games on Sporcle).
Been working on my job, my video game company (don't get too excited, it's in it's infancy. We're just working on our first game. Don't even have a name for the company yet) and I'm writing a tabletop role-playing game!
Damn you guys! Making me want to be creative! *shakes fist*
If you want a playtester make a forum game and I could help out.
For me just got Torment: Tides of Numenera which looks a little small at the moment but hopefully the company that created it gets enough support to add in some DLC as it has a nice feel to it. Its also fairly true to the original Planescape: Torment game in that you wake up not knowing who or what you are or where you are.
The only thing that is missing is a levitating skull.

I'll definitely keep that in mind. I have a bunch more to do before playtesting can happen. Full disclosure, it's a d30 system and a trying to be as simple as possible. It uses an initiative system I like to call dynamic initiative. The basic rules fit in roughly two pages, it's the fiddly bits that I need to hammer out.
Well... I haven't been paying too much attention to the current decks, but I gather that the deck is WBR-based as those colors have other creatures that have better synergy with these Vehicles. All actual Vehicles so far are colorless artifacts though.
@Grey, I dunno man. It looks pretty solid but the cost is just outside my budget to warrant even splitting a box. I'm hoping it'll just drop single prices so I might be able to pick up 1-2 cards that were otherwise out of reach.
As far as crafting goes, does anyone have any ideas of a good finishing coat to help imitate a wood varnish. I have my color pattern designed (Kinda, I'll post more pictures once I'm off of my test strips and moved onto the actual finished piece), but so far I'm unsure what to do. I was gonna coat it in Krylon Matte Finish but I'm worried it wont have the right look. I've used a Clear Gloss coat made by Krylon, but I think it might look too glossy. Could use some advice since my searches have come up blank and my roommates aren't too craft-y.
The Modern Masters sets will cause some price drops, but they'll be temporary. Once the set goes out of print and the dust settles, the prices on those staples will go ⬆⬆⬆.

Also... should we be crafting some Vehicle cards as the thread title says (since that's what we've been doing the past two months)?
