But yeah, you figure one belt is going one way, and the other one is going the other way. So if your sitting in the middle, it done gonna make you spin around like that.
Actually, the tendency would be for her to spin one way from one belt, and the other from the other belt, probably resulting in her being spun around to fall between the two belts. However, if she put most of her weight on one end imperceptibly, this shouldn't happen. At least not if you had good balance. Which is apparently what happens here.
Ninja Edit: yea, there's plenty of them. That's funny stuff, but it's not anything related to magic.
What on earth is 'magic'?
Like, magic in "The Prestige"; sleight of hand and all that stuff?
just the 2 rails in opposite directions moving the person.
And the fact that the rails are moving at a similar, if not the same, speed; if they moved at different speeds to one another, then she'd be inclined to fall (the forces don't balance, right?), and downwards, due to the incline of the escalator.
Basic Physics i guess would be the closer of the 2 choices.
It is.

So, basically, ... the two belts create a couple?
However, if she put most of her weight on one end imperceptibly, this shouldn't happen.
Or, if her weight-force were large enough to exceed the force provided by (the movement of) the rail thingos, I would imagine...

I'd wager she weighs as much as a duck as well and is certainly made of wood--in other words, she's a witch.
BURN HER!!!! :mad1:
I was unsure if it was magic or physics until I read this post. I wonder who could dispute such facts, when faced with pure science? At least she'll go up fast since she is made of wood!
It's got little to do with speed. One would push her upper torso upwards, the other would pull her low body downwards. The result would her be falling between the two rails. Although most people have a hard time consciously imagining mechanics, most people understand this intuitively, which is why it looks weird. But, yeah, balance.
It isn't that difficult. You'll note that she has her rear in between the two escalator rails, which lets it act as a pivot. (Tight jeans are highly recommended to avoid wardrobe malfunctions)
Do you know how this works?

Still some funny stuff to watch. I'm gona try it this weekend.

One escalator moves one way the other moves the other way causing her to spin. How she maintains balance... thats for her to do.
Sasky for the Sig.
I am in your [PACK]. Watching you... do... something.

banner by god child. he'd make you one too, if you weren't so bad at posting.
And I am leaning towards the Phyics side, with great balance, practice, and musculature.
