Below are signups for the second chapter in the Alternate Game of Thrones Mafia series - a Mini game made for 12 people.
In a world set shortly after Lord Eddard Stark's execution, slightly different circumstances have led to a much different environment. In this series, assume that you know no motives, and assume no consistency or inconsistency with character loyalties from the novels. But with each game, the story moves on. When characters die, they're dead. Living characters will shape the future course of events either directly or indirectly, and may or may not appear in future games down the road. With each game, the path alters, a new chapter is written and, at the conclusion of each chapter, you select among options where the setting of the next chapter will take place. You play the game, you write the story.
This game will be set on The Wall during the time almost immediately following Catelyn Stark's appointment of Theon Greyjoy Stark as the new heir to Winterfell, under her rule and in fealty to King's Landing and the Lannisters.
Having spent time and resources in an attempt to locate Jon Snow after his failed attempt to save Winterfell - The Night's Watch has ranged south rather than north, allowing the hordes of Mance Rayder to march uninhibited and undetected on The Wall. Now, leading an army seemingly more organized and coordinated than any other wildling horde in memory, The King Beyond the Wall, a master of disguise, has been rumored to have infiltrated Castle Black. You control what happens from here...
Of Note: As seen with Winterfell - my games are balanced but have the potential to be swingy. If you sign up, you are signing up to participate in the lore, to advance the story, but to also hopefully have a good time playing a game of mafia that may have some powerful and/or odd roles included. I will likely offer this disclaimer for all of my games. Be forewarned.
Game Specific Mechanic - Depending on how the game progresses - there is the potential for an election mechanic in this game whereby players who are alive will elect one among them to have his or her vote count twice - should this happen, players will need to choose carefully who they trust enough to give a more powerful vote.
KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.
