...What? That was a question?
That was literally just a gif of drinking tea because I was drinking tea while reading the game and observing interactions.
Please inform me if there are any errors in votecounts.
I don't see how it's "shirking". I mean, after all, I was fulfilling my duties by posting a votecount. I just happened to throw something in there that I found amusing. And then I added a footnote to hopefully ensure that no one thought an actual game event was occurring. So, I'd accept "overstepping my bounds" or "thinks he's funny" or "being a distraction from the Serious Business of Mafia", but "shirking"? Nah.

I've been playing since April/May last year!
I'm like almost every other woof when I'm wolfing in the sense that I tend to spread my teammates among the three tiers - town, null, and woof, based on how the thread talks to/about them
As town, I go through spew from flipped woofs and base my reads off of the spew (I will warn you in advance I'm most likely not going to read anything aside from the spew and I will be very stubborn about it)
Axel read is very stupid but I actually believe it a little. It does have to do with the gifs. First thing to note is giffing and wanting to hang out and fluff is NAI, but this is a character break for Axel.
I'm wounded. I like hanging out. I will grant that I don't "fluff" as much as some, but this game seemed appropriate to try and cut loose a little. I mean, it's Feel Good 80's Mafia man.

First thing to note is giffing and wanting to hang out and fluff is NAI, but this is a character break for Axel. Could it be that he wants to take things more lightly but there is always the chance that it's because he's scum and is trying to "hey fellow kids" it up. In situations like these I always want to keep suspicion in mind but not go crazy with it.
Sir, I'm the only one that "hello fellow kids" it up in here. This game was an exception.
Which assumptions did ignoramus make?
I had assumed Axel was experienced, based off of the post numbers under their profile, and using that assumption I woof-read Axel because of reasons I had also said before.
Also a self-proclaimed hedgelord trying to tout a strong read like that on page four is a tough pill for me to swallow.
I think this is reasonable paranoia, but I'm not sure mafia-Grapefruit goes all in on a weird and weak reaction town read.
I am, unrelatedly, a fan of KJ's thought process in #195. Mafia-voting-a-daykiller is something I've seen before, so for KJ to pick it up and vote on it, and also to retract rather than double down looks like genuine hunting.

Ambush Krotiq makes me laugh so much. I keep rereading the card and it keeps not having Flash. In what sense is this an ambush again? I just have visions of this huge Krotiq poorly concealed in some bushes, feeling slightly sad that his carefully planned ambushes never seem to work.

How what's your ratio of scum:town games? Have you played as 3rder (3rd party)?

Define LAMIST. (I know what it stands for, I'm asking you to put more words to the statement)
Like you, I rather doubted a town dayvig, an SK, or an scum would out themselves so blatantly so I never took it seriously.
Surprised you thought I had at all, honestly. J'accuse
(No not seriously.)
Well I can't read YOUR mind. Only Grape's apparently.
I would like Eco to walk me through how #106 and #108 were meant to help him figure out Ignoramus, and if he has gotten any closer to figuring him out thanks to them.
His question about Igno's reads lead nowhere and I don't see how it could have lead anywhere, and his question about whether Axel was acting newbie-like on purpose is written like it's meant to influence Igno's read.
Other players feel free to give your two cents, while I'm not yet at the only-scum-could-have-written-these stage.
Actually I'm really interested in knowing what Axel has to say about #108 and Eco pushing Igno away from him.
Another thing re: Eco+Igno, Igno not actually being new makes this less likely to be a woof-woof interaction (or Eco would have known Igno wasn't new).
I think the TerVSEco discussion makes them both look bad, through them both making decent points against the other. Which I guess means they aren't woof-woof either, or they are great at distancing.
Speaking of Ter, she seems to have completely forgotten about asking Lagoon if he saw "anything curious within the fluff", and to be completely fine with Laggy ignoring her.
Rhand reminds me of his Shoushiling (scum-)self so far, asking questions and making statements that lead nowhere. Caveat: it's early, maybe he'll wow us later.
Temporary +town for Sloth on the assumption he is voting Rhand for similar reasons (maybe minus the meta part).
I also thought KJ was "going along with the joke" but... apparently not? I don't know if I should make anything out of this . I kinda agree with Eco Grape's take is +town, I'm not sure it means anything about KJ himself (who I'm still townreading from before).

I disagree. #167 clearly brings up his thoughtS based on early interactions during the fluff stage. The whole indy gif "uuuh is this a day vig lol?" issue cam Eacross as fluff to me. Fluff that resulted in discussion and interaction that goo got something out of.
I got my answer regardless of if Goo said @Terraine to do so why would I pester him over that?
@ZDS There’s just nothing that jumps out to me so far to talk about. I’m not the meme type player and I have no idea how to read into all of that. The few serious lines of conversation all seem completely NAI to me. It’s why I called for you to break RVS. Which I guess you did but it still leads me nowhere.
I’ll find my grip sooner or later.
[font=georgia]I would like Eco to walk me through how #106 and #108 were meant to help him figure out Ignoramus, and if he has gotten any closer to figuring him out thanks to them.
I did already in #141, but to reiterate: My first thought was "wow that's a bad reason for a vote, but it's not necessarily scummy especially from a newb". So I wanted to try and understand why he thought Axel was experienced because without a reason his read would be scummier. I guessed it was either post count or Rhand gave him a pre-game rundown, but it doesn't really matter. I also asked him about other reads specifically using the Grapefruit example as bait because I thought newb mafia would either 1) have no other reads because because new mafia hate committment or 2) town read GF and maybe KJ to hard align their whole worldview with Axelrod is mafia, therefore people who agree with ignoramus are town. That he did neither (and that he voted in the first place) suggested to me that his reads were real and not generated for convenience or conformity. Now that I find out he's not as much of a newb as I thought, the read is weaker (especially casting the vote doesn't count in his favour), but it's not totally removed it (which might really be ego on my part).
Post #108 was really just an attempt to get ignoramus to think out loud to see if he could work out that his reason for scum-reading Axel was bad.
Is this why you voted me Sloth? You love someone else?

He's diesel-based. He's useless early on but after a while (mid to late Day 1) he should start posting good quality analyses, if town.
So him being LAMIST/defensive is NAI?
Because if yes, I'll turn a blind eye to his LAMIST-ness
If no, then he feels like a woof who has been caught for the wrong reasons.

KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.

No more gifs for me because I managed to get blocked by cloudfare for using them incorrectly. Confirmed gremlin over here.
Instead KJ can be town. I don't want to believe this because I have a hard time imaging town really thinking I day vigged them here, but his reaction was so genuine. If he was scum and decided to pretend like he believed he was dead then whatever. We can figure that out later for now I will bust out my bull whip for anyone who comes after KJ. Also I wasn't trying to fake a day vig and I'm mildly confused as to how anyone thought I was?

I approve of Eco's posts towards Ignoramus and he has used the second best gif in the thread. Sorry sloth and terraine. Your volume is excellent but the stonehenge moment is untouchable.
I'd like everyone to think about what conclusions they'd draw from Ignoramus's assumptions being justified or not. Right now it feels like we have a lot of analysis for the sake of analysis when there isn't much meat on that bone.
Called it. Now I gotta find a nice stinky latrine.

Depends on how much I recognize the players (how much Meta I got on them), mainly.
If I don't recognize anyone my reads are as shallow as a baby's pool.
Also, when I'm a woof, TMI would also influence a lot - I try to hide my TMI in lists like

So many reasonable, NAI posts with reasonable, NAI thought processes...
Reasonable & NAI posts are frustrating. They don't show intent (by definition) and they are terrible for short-term analysis. This is why nothing major is happening .
Post #108 was really just an attempt to get ignoramus to think out loud to see if he could work out that his reason for scum-reading Axel was bad.
Why did you want to do that?
Are you townreading Axel?
Are you arguing on principle against a bad argument? (If so, what's the point? Can't scum-Axel be "caught for the wrong reasons"?)
ZDS: it would be an instrumental part of the roleplay that is scum pretending to be town though. If eco had never met ignoramus before then it would be weird if suddenly he knew stuff about him. Eco would know that. It doesn't matter if it has an obvious benefit, it costs him nothing.

On a serious note, gimme a minute, I’ll gather the “wagons” and tell you why they’re not giving me reads.
Meh never mind that. There really isn’t anything to talk about.
@ZDS: what makes you think I should have opinions on anything? Can you give me an example of something I should have an opinion on?
Why did you want to do that?
Are you townreading Axel?
Are you arguing on principle against a bad argument? (If so, what's the point? Can't scum-Axel be "caught for the wrong reasons"?)
I thought he was both new and town, so getting him to understand why his read was bad might help him look at something else and make a better read. Plus if he was interested in discussing it that would have been towner. I suppose it was a little on principle as well because I'd rather execute people for good reasons because that has a better hit rate.
I am not town reading Axel. He hasn't done anything so far that I'd consider particularly alignment indicative.
@Rhand You know if you can't see anything to have opinions on you need to do something like ask questions or vote. Why are you pretending that you don't know how to generate Day 1 reads?

Ter's responses to that line of questions were ultimately reasonable and NAI. Yes, you can.
Do you find all current "wagons" (I'm using the term very loosely) unconvincing? Which one is the least unconvincing?

Townread on KJ hardening, that inquisitiveness is his town groove and he's trying to make things happen.
Who would like to be cleared?
No godfathers, please.
Unvote, vote Rhand
I guess I got what I asked lol.
A bunch of naked votes aren’t going to help.
@ZDS: are there actual wagons? What did I miss?
Meh never mind that. There really isn’t anything to talk about.
@ZDS: what makes you think I should have opinions on anything? Can you give me an example of something I should have an opinion on?
I thought he was both new and town, so getting him to understand why his read was bad might help him look at something else and make a better read. Plus if he was interested in discussing it that would have been towner. I suppose it was a little on principle as well because I'd rather execute people for good reasons because that has a better hit rate.
I am not town reading Axel. He hasn't done anything so far that I'd consider particularly alignment indicative.
I try to read them but it takes awhile longer to understand if what they're doing is NAI for them or not.
I also heavily rely on flipped woof spew.
Well
I compare a specific person's actions to a finished town and woof game of theirs.
If I see more town than woof, then light town for them, and vice versa.
