KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.

GJ be town.
@GJ I be puttin' pressure on Wisp but that sentence didn' come through well. Me issue be that he seems t' be observin' th' KJ situation without wantin' t' be part o' it.
There is a difference between not pushing the game forward, and actively trying to not push the game forward. The parts I bolded from KJ's point felt like the latter.
I was going to say that this doesn't move the needle for me either because it's still page two and etc, but then I went back and reread the posts before you made your original post as well as your original post, and you were just saying it was null. I misread the original when I first read it as though you were trying to scum read him for it, which you weren't, so never mind that thread!
Thar be somethin' amiss here.
Why does GJ hope Wisp be town misreadin' 'im o'er catchin' 'im as mafia?
'n Wisp be natterin' about th' KillJoy cases as if they be part o' somethin' he ain't part o'.
I think something is amiss with you Rhandy boi.
The wisp part is that he apparently brags he can read me correctly in games past when we were both town.
Why aren't you calling him out on him being skeptical of me not metaing in KJ? You both are aware I don't regard meta almost, at all, and you are well aware of that, as is Wisp.
I think Rhand raises a good point about you preferring that he can't read you over you having caught scum.
I also don't see a strong attempt on you to figure out which of the two is it (misread or wolf) in your interactions with Wisp.
I am not a fan of how you deflected that line of questioning from him and switched to "why aren't you questioning him instead", brushing past the alternative of having caught him.
And lastly, the two underlined sections don't seem to match: One says that you believe he can/could read you and has lost that ability, and the second that dismisses this thought at Wisp "apparently bragging" (/being wrong).
Vote: General Johnny
weeeee~
Of the players here, Wisp and Rhand I believe have played with me the most (notice I said, most, not longest. That might be either Cantripmancer or Azrael for the honor). So when wisp is shading me for ignoring meta on KJ, when I am a verbal/constant both in games and outside of them about not using meta, I find it really odd that Rhand doesn't call it out, or that Wisp would use that angle to attack me. I think that point might actually lean more townwisp derping than wolfwisp shading since that's a very easy thing to disprove, but I didn't like it, nor did I find Rhand not calling out weird to me.
As far as trying to solve Wisp. What do I really have? He is basically saying my tone sounds fake. Ok....right then. As far as KJ is concerned, I am trying to solve him, but half the game is saying something about his meta, and some are going "it's too early to read him" and I just don't quite get it. Since the game is seemingly moving forward, I would rather see how KJ progresses and reassess from there, while also watching everyone else.
Your bolded posts are in two different areas. It's hard to tell with what Rhand is saying exactly, but I assumed his comment was shade on that I am sad wisp is wolf reading me. Objectively, he is wrong or a wolf. I like Wisp and solving with him, so I hope it's the former. You might not admit it, but I am sure there are players you like that you hope roll the same alignment as you. The 2nd bolded is calling out Rhand because he should be questioning that Wisp point, unless he doesn't want to interrupt Wisp line on me. The issue he has with Wisp/KJ, I don't full understand either.
Mostly though Sloth, I don't get why I get a vote when I am probably solving more than the rest of the game combined. But you do you.
Talk to me about how you're currently trying to solve me please.
I am poking at you for what appears to be posts that aren't trying to solve. I don't like how you fell back into the excuse of "no one else is solving". You might be right to an extent, but what I was expecting to happen was either you do start attempting to solve (either falsely or genuinely) or you don't, and then I have to play the game of trying to guess if you are a wolf trying to seem confidant in the face of pressure , or if you are just a lazy town person.
My personal flaw is that in the case of the latter, I don't care.
I almost immediately want to retract my read of Bur. Actually with KJ on this one, that it rings slightly fake to me.
There is a difference between not pushing the game forward, and actively trying to not push the game forward. The parts I bolded from KJ's point felt like the latter.

Vote Count 1.1 THE ORIGINAL SOURCE OF the Skill will probably remain forever shrouded in mystery. Certainly a penchant for it runs remarkably strong within the royal family, and yet it is not solely confined to the King’s household. It is interesting to note that the Outislanders seem to have no predilection for the Skill, nor the folk descended solely from the original inhabitants of the Six Duchies.

Lampshade hanging is a writing trick to draw attention to something unwanted (usually something that the writer can't/won't explain to readers) and joke about it and/or pretend it doesn't exist afterwards.
Basically saying "yeah, yeah, I'm mafia" when you actually are mafia.
And assuming 16-man game has 4 mafia, the chance to have one in randomly picked subset of 4 is ~48,4% unless I did my math wrong. (You guys are confusing expected value and actual probability)
If you want a proper explanation on probabilities, I can delve into it with you somewhere else than this game thread.

@GJ I be puttin' pressure on Wisp but that sentence didn' come through well. Me issue be that he seems t' be observin' th' KJ situation without wantin' t' be part o' it.
I don't know actually. In the few games i've played since coming off a break I haven't drawn scum, except earlier this year in a hydra with nacho, but that game was abandoned pretty early. I do absolutely hate drawing scum with the fire of a thousand suns though, and I think it comes across in my posts. Literally not an exaggeration; I've cried upon receiving a scum role pm before because I'd drawn too many and just couldn't do it again. I think I have one of the worst scum games, but other people don't think it's as bad as I do. I've won more scum games than I've lost though because I push on through due to having a team depend on me and that pesky win condition business.
I know that's more how I feel about scum rather than what I'm like as scum, but as for what I'm like as scum, I'm miserable. Any outward factors you'd have to ask someone else. A little self meta though, I'd probably not preemptively gone into why I didn't RVS though because I know people read that kind of stuff as self conscious therefore scummy, and as scum I don't want any unnecessary suspicion on me early because that just makes me deflate whereas as town I don't mind letting my self consciousness show.
I'm town here though so none of that matters and you'll have to wait another time to see what my miserable scum game is like
Tammy is so scummy as scum that even when checked as town by the dead and flipped cop she still almost got yeeted.
ok let me be a little less vague: checked as town as a godfather
3 little pigs, never forget!
@Cuth: Why do you think "don't help Vaimes tunnel" was towny?
i don't think it is specifically out of context, but tonally it fit the town joking around and being very mildly concerned about reads/game direction archetype
and i don't think that's the most natural mindset to slip into as a wolf faking banter
in a town!GJ world, Rhand is probably trying to pocket him, that's my thoughts
I mean, he started by shading me so if that's where you are going at, it feels pretty flawed.

Soon you'll be wearing my sword like a shish kebab!
There being a distinct lack of content in the last sixty-whatever posts is fine but half of the players being like "nah I'm just not gonna RVS" is
There's probably a wolf in the players who followed me onto Iso but I'm gonna town lean them all anyway
I had this thought as well, meaning one in {Silver, Rhand, Bur, Crops} - of these Crops seemed the flimsiest with the 'trend' comment.
Like, it's flimsy tho so
Nice scattershot. You realize that that statement is statistically true for any group of 4 players, right?
Also calling a RVS vote flimsy is funny.
That's not how statistics work - picking any four players totally at random has a 1 in 4 chance of getting scum assuming 25% scum population.
Assessing the conscious moves 4 players made to distance themselves is not random picking.
Ftr, I honestly find this bizarrely strong reaction to me saying that your reasons were flimsy in comparison to the other 3 who also have flimsy reasons more of an eyebrow-raiser than the situation you're reacting to to begin with - which I did label as flimsy in itself, as in 'not worth pursuing on its own'.
Hence my not voting you and simply observing you.
If 25% of the game is scum and you pick players at random, you have a 25% chance with each pick that you'll hit scum. If you have a 25% chance 4 times, you are most likely to hit one scum and three townies. Certainly you are most likely to hit at least one scum, which is what he is saying.
[...]
I realize his grouping is not random. But what he is saying is functionally as effective as picking players at random, and is therefor a useless statement.
...I have no idea what you're trying to prove here.
