1) You might see me as being milquetoast (that's the second time someone has called me that this game, lol) but I have 200+ games of mafia played and been playing fairly consistently since 2011. There was a period in my life where I was obsessed with mafia and let it consume most of my waking hours. I remember being in 5/6 games at once in certain points in my life. Thankfully, I've gotten past those days, but I am experienced and been mostly playing/trying to solve this game in my own way, which you may confuse with timidity. I am just polite and don't really like to ruffle feathers with anyone.
And yet you continually play follow-the-leader with others and bandwagon? Doesn't work for me.
Again, you're getting way too much right to be trying to take your cues from other people.
Today is tough. I don't feel good about this but I feel better about it than the better options.
@Silver why Proph over Amy? You were pushing Amy more earlier.
I talked myself into Proph when he tried to overexplain his mindset in response to Highroller's question
His response to that is uh, well, he has to say that now regardless of his alignment; either he actually is a villager and that's what happened or he messed up as a wolf but can't unexplain it now

If you're town I am not looking forward to tomorrow. I'm fairly convinced that the last scum will shoot HR regardless and leave it up to me, which is going to suck if this is wrong. But that's a reasonable point. The overexplanation is weird when it didn't really need to be explained at all (the votes happened without him so no need to vote his town read).

I think it's the exact opposite: they'll shoot you and leave it up to me.
It's amazing that we have very, very different reads on this game. I'm definitely not going to vote without Ampharos posting. I'll definitely try to reread the game once more.

Yup. I mean it's sort of par for the course for us, but it's also destroying my confidence in my own reads here since I trust you.
I probably ought to do a D1 reread in order but I also just really don't think it's Amy and think Silver is more likely that Proph (see you've moved my reads! I was the opposite earlier!).

I don't really understand why you're accusing me of "bandwagonning" when most of the players in this game have been following each other around. ZDS started suspecting CC; I actively did my own work to try and figure out CC's alignment. Even though I was wrong, I outlined the case on JoeTerry near EoD1, and so on and so forth.

I was talking about you.
Yes, you tunneled ZDS, but I felt like you genuinely believed that ZDS was going to flip scum, rather than the shade that CC was posturing.

It really only makes sense if he's a wolf imo
He's getting grilled by a villager and didn't have a real explanation, tried to come up with a plausible one instead of shrugging it off
Highroller asks me why I didn't move my vote on d1
I both remember and legitimately thought an extremely improbable thing (not only that the game is plurality, but that moving my vote would tie the votes *and* a tied vote plurality would end in no execution -- but I wasn't worried enough to check the OP)"
Or, well
"I'm Proph, I'm a wolf
Highroller asks me why I didn't move my vote day 1
I was bussing and wanted the town cred; I obviously can't say that so I don't have an acceptable answer to his question
Hey guys? Could someone unvote Silvercrys? I'd like to be able to scrutinize Ampharos' post when that actually happens, and don't want to risk Ampharos just coming in and hammering.
I think it's the exact opposite: they'll shoot you and leave it up to me.

I mean, I'm pretty positive you've had the better track record these past couple of games. I wouldn't doubt yourself on account of me.
I'll accept a non-Proph lynch today, but if that person (probably silver at this point) flips town, spoiler warning, I'm voting Proph tomorrow.
Ahhh but you haven't met my dear friend, crippling self doubt. And I've been convinced that Amy is townier than Proph at this point. Rod was pretty townie and Ampharos has been as well. I can dump notes if anyone wants them but I'm lazy and don't really want to given the circumstances.
Also I'm very much regretting not targeting Highroller last night so we could leave a legacy to each other if needed rather than using it to try and solve Amy, but c'est la vie.
Unvote
Amy is hoping to post later. I plan to vote again unless her posts change my thinking.

I think if it's not Silver it's Proph and while I'd like you to do your due diligence I don't want to color your read of Amy since you're leaning Proph as well.
I think I said later on "Will vote in :55 assuming votes haven't changed" in 507, and then Axel voted in 512. That's why I didn't change my vote.
But if you were trying to avoid no lynch, why wouldn't you change your vote?
I was a dummy on Day 1 and didn't realize that the game was majority lunch; I thought it was plurality. So I didn't move my vote onto ZDS when Axel voted CC for fear of a tied No Lunch.
So it was a tied no lynch. Even if I bought the explanation that you believed it was plurality lynch in the case of no majority, it still doesn't explain why you failed to change your vote.
i think this is a miss but i'd rather not wind up not eliminating anyone
Vote ZeDorkSlipeur
Why vote ZDS instead of Joe Terry, whom you had previously voted to avoid no lynch, when they had the same amount of votes on them?
I'll reread to see if I can confirm this in either direction, but if I recall correctly (and it was like a month ago, so bear with me) I was townreading both JT and ZDS at the time; I suspect that I felt my reason to townread JT was stronger/less susceptible to being wrong, and thus preferred to vote ZDS isntead.
There's also a chance I didn't realize JT was a viable wagon - I recall having wrist issues around that time and making a conscious effort to spend as little time in thread as I could get away with - but I'm not sure if that's accurate or not. Long phase games, man.
I think a lot of the argument against Proph is rooted in his D1 play being "too clean"/TMI influenced - and while I've seen this pan out before, I don't think I necessarily agree with it here. A lot of the reads Proph's been criticized for were pretty consensus - ZDS town, CropCircles wolf, etc etc - and I think Proph's general tone, while HR described it as "timid", actually comes across so calmly as to appear very assured in his conclusions, which is always gonna set off TMI alarm bells whether or not it's correct.
My read on Silver is essentially that he went from a wolf essentially having given up when he realized he wasn't gonna be able to get me over, to grasping at any straw he could find trying to push Proph over the top. If I'm correct, HR's renewed push towards Proph was basically a lifeline for him - BUT (and I have to give Grape credit for this one) Silver's wolfread on Proph is preeeeetty level one, and it's odd to go from what's essentially a negative space read on me to a level 1 read on Proph. Plus I personally don't think the scenario Proph thought was happening with the votes was all that outlandish, given that I think the setup he described is pretty standard on MC - and yeah, he maybe shoulda checked, but I don't think it's suspicious for him to not have? Villagers are lazy, it happens.
I'm prepared to be wrong, and I'll congratulate Proph and buckle down for F3 if I am, but I think Silver's the more likely hit here (and Grape agrees with me).
Giving HR a couple hours (I think he's in the eurozone and will be up by then but idk) but I'm voting before I fall asleep. Amy accurately summed up our chat and I am even more convinced she is town from it. Just very genuine and trying to solve in real time. I've been pocketed in chats before but I think she's town.
Kip: Cough
Chip: Are you all right?
Kip: Cough cough cough
Chip: Kip! What's wrong?
Kip: I have a cough dry throat.
Chip: Yes, the air is a bit more dry than usual it seems.
Silvercrys3467 is in a coma. They were Sneezy, Town Vanilla
Sniffing the air, Kip and Chip manage to find a clearing in the area with more moist in the air. Sneezy must have passed out recently.
The dwarves come and pick up the body to place it in a casket close to Snow White’s.
Night 4 starts now. Night actions are due by 1 PM EST (7 PM Rhand time) on Sunday, October 18th, and Day 5 will start about 1 hour after that.
DO NOT TALK IN THE THREAD DURING THE NIGHT PHASE UNLESS YOUR ROLE STATES OTHERWISE.
Kip: I'm sad.
Chip: Why?
Kip: The sound. It's different. Something is missing.
Chip: The woodpecker is pecking, the nightingale is singing, the leaves are rustling and the waterfall is clattering. Everything sounds normal.
Kip: And yet something is not there.
Chip: I think I feel it too. But what?
Kip: It's the laughter! The laughter is missing!
Chip: Oh no.. that means...
Grapefruit21 is in a coma. They were Happy, Town Neighborizer
The body of Happy is soon discovered and put in a casket close to Snow White’s.
It is now Day 5. Deadline is Sunday, October 25th, 7pm GMT+1
Will be around more tonight but just wanted to say: GD Amy what a frickin brilliant game you and Rodemy played
Not really sure how you planned to off CC/Jack within hours of you replacing in, but it worked and I find myself in yet another "Rhand in Winterfell" situation
Doubt that HR is going to listen to what I have to say but I have to try regardless. Was just really hoping Silver would flip W and the game would be over from there

ok
i'm gonna refresh my memory on why i was hard clearing highroller but i assume what happens here is proph and i cross and HR is the decider
However this turns out, gg everyone.
BEFORE AMY GETS BACK INTO THE THREAD
If you'd asked me at the start of yesterday who was most likely mafia, I'd have answered you > Amy > Silver, in that order.
Not doubting my instincts a second time.
either Amy is just gonna take this free win or I am living in a very bizarre world where HR is scum
Sorry, everyone. Looks like I won't be able to bring this one home.

Let's see how things go.
Imagine rolling scum on this hellsite for four years straight
Looking forward to reading spec chat
but still, strong wolf performance from a rough situation. fun game
Hopefully I made things somewhat interesting
That's what tilted me the most about this game
