So I was obviously being sarcastic earlier, but looking at this list, I'm not so sure now.
1. silvercrys3467 - Bad Guy (obv)
3. Rodemy r. Ampharos - ??
4. Prophylaxis - ??
5. Jackrito r. Cayvie - ??
6. Vaimes - Clearly has a role
8. Grapefruit21 - ??
9. Axelrod - Has something to do with JT
10. TheRealStinkyJoeTerry - Has something to do with Ax
11. Highroller - Something about a bird
12. CropCircles42 - Pure AF Town
With the level of info that's already been exposed, are we sure a mass claim atm wouldn't just break the game?
Like if I look at things from the mafia's perspective, it's pretty clear that the cop and doc are probably in the ??s, so Ampharos, Proph, Cayvie or Grape. A couple of those are probably scum so they can probably PoE who the PRs are. Do we actually gain anything from holding back info from the mafia at this point?
There would be notification of a block per the mods. There are still a few far fetched scenario's I can come up with that make CC town, but none I believe.
Just out of curiosity, what would those far-fetched scenarios be?
------
My objection to ending day was predicated on the idea that people would actually post. We've had 18 posts in the last 24 hours, and 5 of those posts were from CC.
Hopefully the weekend will get things to pick up, but if they don't, I'm comfortable ending day.
@HR The biggest two were a forced commuter (sometimes called an alien) but Rhand confirmed that it would still tell CC. As would an ascetic (as if someone had made Silver untargetable).
So now I basically have no reasonable ideas where this isn't one of the two lying.
I'm not advocating for a mass claim today. That said I am going to claim before the end of the day. You can agree or disagree with my reasons when I do it. Before that, I will finish looking at the ZDS Wagon, and then I'll be done.

Ambush Krotiq makes me laugh so much. I keep rereading the card and it keeps not having Flash. In what sense is this an ambush again? I just have visions of this huge Krotiq poorly concealed in some bushes, feeling slightly sad that his carefully planned ambushes never seem to work.

Will this info affect the lynch today? Your claim will be a bit more telling than you think (due to my role), so if you are bent on claiming today that's your call, but there might be a bit more discussion based on it depending on your claim.

Not advocating for a mass-claim but still complying with it seems counter-intuitive, so I'm gonna count this as a pro mass-claim stance. Thanks for playing.
Why do you care about getting a claim more than lynching mafia, or even saving yourself?
Because there isn't anything that's going to save me. Because even though everyone wants to act like we can't accomplish anything today beyond the inevitable conclusion, we actually can. Because this presented dichotomy just doesn't make sense and getting some more info out in the open could make it make sense and help us to avoid whatever trap has been laid.
I'd note your desperation to end the day in my notes, but I deleted my notes in a dramatic symbolic gesture of giving up on putting any more effort into this game.
You think there's a cop and a doc in this game and you want to out them on d2 right before we, presumably, misexecute you (from your PoV)
Also wolves have fake claims lol
I must say, you did your best, but I think you just... have to be a wolf here
I like how you pretend that you're just coming to this conclusion. As has been discussed at length, there's pretty much no chance that we're both town. The idea that you're just now realizing that I'm mafia is insane. If you were town, it wouldn't have taken this long to come to that conclusion.
I mean, I've been doing stuff besides playing Mafia, which means I'm still working through mechanics
At first, no, I didn't really believe it. I still don't really want to believe it because it means I picked the wrong execution yesterDay.
But having had a chance now to confirm with the mods that anyone with a targeted ability would have been told if blocked, redirected, or their ability failed in some other way, the only remaining possibility is that you're a wolf (and also you're desperately trying to get some kind of advantage out of this like pushing a mass claim, etc.)
Also you should probably decide if you're trying to make it look like we're partners or if you want to pretend you're a villager and I'm a wolf; I'm sensing the tiniest bit of dissonance in the way you're treating me lmao

You need to just say whatever it is or not talk about it, seriously. I have no idea what you mean when you say my claim will be "a bit more telling," nor do I really care.

Actually I can address it without going back.
I have a bad habit of tunneling and I was worried that I was falling into the same trap with JT. And I thought you might be scum egging me on, with your posts about JT at EoD.
That, plus WMU scumreading you put the idea of you being scum into my head.
I mean, I still think JT might be scum, but I'm going to wait until flips happen to really start processing a new gamestate
WRT that EoD I just haaaaaaated the fact that I was never going to be able to get scum!JT lynched because too many people were on ZDS
Quote from Silvercrys »
@Proph I uh, don't really know what to tell you about my Amy/Rodemy read, I gut read Rodemy as a villager and Amy's posts just seemed okay/vaguely villagery and I was fine with my then-PoE
At EoD I flipped my read on ZDS and CropCircles seemed self resolving so I started re-evaluating, after ZDS flipped town I just kind of had a pile of town reads and fairly short list of names left
I don't have a real solid wolf read on Amy or anything just, positioning me as a follow up execution to cropcircles right now and in the PoE
Kk, I can understand this
You were scumreading Amy at SoD when you assumed CropCircles was town and self-resolving; now that CC appears to be outed where do you stand on things? Is your PoE still (Cayvie/Proph/Grape/Amy)?
---
This is somewhat of a weird mindset read of sorts, but I kind of like Highroller for re-asking for more details on CC's claim? I've never played with Highroller before this game, but it just feels like he's the type of player who would be very interested in claims and mechanics. If he's scum with CC then it would take a weird thought process to see your scumbuddy claim Friendly Neighbor then re-ask what it is at SoD2.
Kind of a ptap. Mostly just waiting on Axel, otherwise seems like we’re done here.
Sorry, sorry, sorry. Will do today.

Fourth vote: Ampharos at #568. Doesn't think ZDS is scum, but voting to secure a lynch.
On it's face that's a big "ehh." But, depending on the circumstances, it can be acceptable. And here it looks better than some other times. Amph was actually anti-CC before this. She had ZDS in her Town pile, and was voting for CC. But then CC claimed and this changed it all. She didn't actually say anything about it initially. She just unvoted CC and voted ZDS with the above vote. Then she remarks that CC's claim should self-resolve so, no need to go fishing there.
And this is just plausible enough to still be Town. It's not a slam dunk or anything, her alignment is still up in the air, but the ZDS vote isn't too much of a flag. She was on the right track, and she also wasn't around a whole lot at the deadline, so, not participating more is kind of neutral. I'd look closer here were CC to actually flip Town.
Fifth Vote: Silvercrys at #628. Silver is more interesting. He was an early voter of ZDS and maintained suspicions for moat of the day, not unlike Highroller, though his vote moved a tad more. He did an "Order of Suspicion" list at #256 with Proph, Terry and ZDS as the bottom three. CC was right in the middle. Says he feels like CC might be a "designated mis-yeet" and that the wagon on him seemed "too easy."
He had an earlier vote for ZDS at #280, which looks like a counter-wagon vote as it tied ZDS with CC at that point. It is pointed out to Silver that all the people he listed as his top scum (Proph, Terry, ZDS) are voting for CC and he's asked if that shouldn't make him Town-read CC (as opposed to putting him in the middle), but this doesn't really mean much to me, given Silver was voting ZDS and arguing against a CC lynch. I don't agree that he ought to have town-read CC more just because of that.
After the claim, Silver becomes a much more vocal CC supporter, basically expressing no doubts. Somewhat interestingly he says in #535 that he doesn't think it's ZDS anymore (on a "gut" check) and supports a Joe Terry counterwagon. And it's unclear to me what prompted this change in opinion on ZDS. The positive in that is, it's somewhat less likely a scum who's solidly on a Town wagon without suspicion would just off it at the last minute to try and lynch a different player (scum or Town). Maybe it could be the fact that ZDS claimed vanilla? He then expresses he would vote any of his suspects to save CC, but would vote CC to avoid the No lynch, which is okay. The final vote is more to secure the lynch than because he strongly thinks ZDS is scum at that point.
I'd say the most suspicious thing about Silver was how he seemed to cruise through most of the day. Not really engaged. Which is fairly easy to do as scum. His support of CC could be a partner support. Or it could be someone not really engaged....
The thing with CC today is more interesting, and I'll reiterate that his not supporting CC's claim today does not "clear" him at all should CC flip scum. Even though I might agree that the more likely/technically correct play for scum-buddies would seem to have been for Silver to have confirmed CC's ability, I can't say what scum might be thinking, as there would obviously be some risk in tying himself to scum-CC in that way. It's somewhat strange to me that Silver wasn't more anti-CC today, instead seemingly willing to explore other reasons why CC's ability might have failed. Maybe if it had been me on the other end of that kind of gambit I'd have been more questioning of why scum would be doing it also? Don't know. But Silver was kind of late to the "CC's pretty much got to be scum here" party.
So, basically, Silver's not proved himself yet. He's still in the range even with a scum CC flip (and obviously slam dunk if CC were Town).
Two more (plus if I want to look at the non-voters also)

Ambush Krotiq makes me laugh so much. I keep rereading the card and it keeps not having Flash. In what sense is this an ambush again? I just have visions of this huge Krotiq poorly concealed in some bushes, feeling slightly sad that his carefully planned ambushes never seem to work.
This is why people say things like, “player X is more valuable down the line so let’s not lynch them.”
Axel I’m not saying anything more about my role until you decide if you are going to come forth with your claim info or not. If you decide not to, that’s fine I trust your decision making.
Sixth Vote: JoeTerry at #682. Pretty much just to secure the lynch, I think. Was saying earlier that he thought CC was scummier. And Joe was probably the most skeptical of CC's claim of anyone, even moreso than me. He was ready/willing to lynch CC regardless.
So, assuming CC = scum, this is a rather large bump in favor of Joe. It would have been so, so easy to back off CC under these circumstances, as most did. No real reason to bus harder there. Plus, Joe then became a counterwagon which was pushed by CC himself. So, this would be some very, very high level of bussing for them to be teammates. Never saying it's not possible, but it's just way less likely at this point. I don't know what else he's doing with the claim thing, but whatever it is, as scum, it would seem to be some kind of (unnecessary?) gambit. Again, probably less likely.
Seventh Vote: Proph at #697. Hammer close to deadline. Not his top choice and not thinking it's a hit. I don't especially have an issue with that. I would have hammered myself if I had to. He appeared suspicious of CC before the claim, and had voted him to push him, but once CC claimed, felt there wasn't much downside to giving him a chance to prove the ability. Which I think was a fairly standard position, which does mean it's one a scum would likely take. His actual first choice would have been JoeTerry. I don't have too many issues with all this, but it's also all very safe positions.
If he's scum, he's been very clean. I guess this is why he's on a few people's lists. Mostly reasonable, safe positions. He's asking questions, which appears active. I have this vague memory that scum-Proph has trouble maintaining his energy as scum. Maybe that was someone else. Today hasn't done much, but then again there hasn't been much to talk about. He's again taking what I think is the technically correct position. Seems like he's spent a lot of time arguing with JoeTerry, but I'm not getting into the winner/loser of that argument at this time. There are no read red flags here.
That's the wagon. I think Highroller, JoeTerry's votes look "Towniest." After them, probably Proph. Then Amph and Silver falling into the, "more plausible to be scum" category.
Of the non-voters - Cavie, Vaimes, Grapefruit, I'm not really looking into their positions right now, except I will say Grapefruit is Town. For reasons I'l explain in a second.

My claim is: 1-shot Cop. Which I used on Grapefruit last night.
Grapefruit is Town.
I am claiming this because I didn't really crumb it at the beginning of the day, and I don't want this info. to die with me if I die tonight. And I have just enough ego to think that's a real possibility. I didn't crumb because I didn't think the CC thing was going to go down the way it did, and I thought that GF might have been a target today, and I wanted to sit back a little and see who/if anyone went after him and how they did it. A few people had him on their "lists" but I can't say that means much. He was on my "list" also, which is why I targeted him in the first place.
That's it. Tell me I'm dumb if you want. If you have something to say, Joe, then say it now.

Anyway I for sure want to blitz Cayvie but I'm unsure if this is "everyone wants to kill them because they're town in a bad spot" or "everyone wants to kill them because bus bus bus."
Didn't reread over the weekend so I'll do that...tomorrow.
So, that means scum targeted me and Joe took the hit, or they just went straight for Joe, I guess?
