a lesser Rodemy would vote you for this, but I am growing as a player and realize this is NAI.
Growth or no growth, you were already plenty good enough to make this kind of observation before. This is more of a playstyle change than you gradually becoming better. A scummy playstyle change, as if you decided you couldn't afford to go full-speed-ahead-no-brakes anymore.
Lagoon, I agree with fulcrum for disliking Poison's entry post and with Whispy's stance on 488.
Real talk, does anyone actually think tom (or anyone in this game really) gives enough of a ***** about vote pressure to make them do something they don't want to do? Has that ever worked?
Really, why do people care so much? It's just busywork. Stop it.
If we’re going to lynch him, yes.

well you people want me to force stuff, and then you call it *****
when of course its gonna be *****, when this is not how I play mafia
I choose to walk away cause its better for my sanity, and the thread
TBH I should expect this, because wagoning me early on his literally a meme at this point
because my entrances are usually garbage
I am currently happy with my reads and my vote
this is literally the second game I have played with you and I can assure you this is not a meme; I think you are a scum.
Still dissipointed no one else is paying attention to this.

there's a distinction between the two that i'm gonna try to explain but it's all vague tonal feelsy type stuff so bear with me
rod's strikes me as someone who's frustrated that he's not being listened to. a sort of "oh come the **** on" sort of deal. he's trying to communicate and getting wolfread for it and it's making him run hot. his anger is very outward-facing. expansive. i think this specific sort of emotion is villagery, because it's frustration at miscommunication and lack of cohesion.
wisp is like... mostly just upset that he's being wagoned, it feels like. he makes a post he thinks is villagery, people wolfread him for it, and he gets upset in a very "woe is me" sort of way, steps away for a bit to cool off. this sort of emotion i think can come from either alignment, because nobody likes getting wolfread, whether you're a villager that feels attacked for no reason or a wolf who doesn't understand why their posts aren't working out the way they want to
i don't think either response is faked, i just think only one of them points towards alignment
This is how I am reading rod.
I am reading last as frustrated scum tho.

Guess I need to take my own advice and handle pressure better
all the voices so far in this game have their own opinion of what is and isnt a hit, that is why
certain trains might pop off, once the sheeple come in and vote
I am assuming you think that the pushes on Rodemy are kind of a stretch, if so, then I agree also
I think gooLagoon's claim is more town-indicative than LW's. It feels more like the kind of think a Town would spew into the thread early. LW might as well, but he is also very capable of just claiming random stuff to mess with people.
How do you feel about the way he went about claiming it, rather than the content of the claim?
The claim itself is pretty irrelevant to me, tbh.
I have no feeling about the "way" as such. It seems very LW to me for him to throw stuff out into the thread early like that, but he will do it as both alignments. The no alignment reveal thing is more interesting to me.
There's also him saying "I'm Town" as though his saying that should somehow reassure us in the event he dies and we get no reveal. How exactly?
I thought it was pretty clear I was asking about Lagoon here, not about Last, but apparently not, so...I was asking about Lagoon here. Can you answer in regards to him?
(I like this too, though.)
Then I guess I'm not sure what you are asking that wasn't answered in the post you quoted? It's almost entirely the way GL made his claim that feels townish to me, not the claim itself. Someone not wanting to be targeted I can take or leave as a Town/Scum thing, and a Mafia might attempt a gambit in their opening post to try and avoid being targeted forever, but that still draws attention and just generally seems less likely.
Also this specific claim felt more like how a Townie would partial claim something like that early, as opposed to a Mafia, who - if they were going to do it, would probably be a bit more calculated, maybe even more dramatic - and this didn't read that way.
Axelrod: What about Rod's confusion regarding the Dark Mark is AI, and in which direction? I read it as him not reading the OP.
You saw that part where Rod admitted he was lying/gambitting?
While it was maybe plausible that (1) he didn't read the rules and missed the thing about the Dark Mark, and (2) it was/is still possible that some people don't actually get an "Upgrade" when they get it - despite what the rules say - the combination of the two things (the guy who doesn't read the rules also being the guy who actually doesn't want it, and assumes it's bad based on how it sounds) seemed unlikely to me.
Ok so, two things:
How does his admitting to lying/gambitting modify your read on him based on this? And what is scum!Rod trying to achieve with this?
Do you think he did a thing and just... ****ed it up?
If I'm guessing what's going on, and I'm picking between Town Rod. making a very clumsy gambit attempt which depends on his not actually reading the rules and would seem to have had very poor odds of success in any event, vs. Scum Rod. attempting to appear confused about something, which I find is a common scum behavior, I'm thinking the latter is at least a little more likely.
Also, it occurred to me that if he really missed the part in the rules about Dark Marks being an Upgrade for everyone, and he's scum, and he sees from his own role that getting a Dark Mark helps him, he might genuinely think it weird that getting a Dark Mark would also help a member of the Town.
That's about where I am on that. This isn't a slam dunk or anything, but I'm fine with it for now.

How about if I was scum, why would I lie. About it effecting me negatively? If town gives out the dark mark, that would definitely not be the way to get it. If scum give out the dark mark, and I was scum, I wouldn’t have to say anything at all.
It can only come from a town perspective to try and pull the dark mark in the way that I did.

I agree with kpaca. Axles vote is a streeeetch (as I have already explained in my last post, why lie as scum to get the mark?) Amy feels like she has a little more insight to my alignment than I am comfortable with.

So far I don't think she makes up that reasoning as to why Ter might be town, if she is a wolf
Plus I do have a town game from her that I can look at to compare
that's minuscule though, don't think she is malicious in her push of me
I don't really think Kpaca is either

vote amy
Yeah? Does that sway you any?
I am trying to be a GOOD mafia player. I assure you there is a reason I did that gimmick and I will explain when claim time comes. But as someone pointed out, if scum give out dark marks, why not give it to themselves first? So that was poor thinking in the first place.

I'll pile on and say I'm not a big fan of Axel wagonning Rod when he could have been the one to start the wagon.
This does not change my Rodemy read yet, but I need more interactions between, with or about these two so I can figure out how they are (or aren't) related.
Rodemy, I'm the one who pointed the scum giving out dark marks to themselves if they can. You are already a good mafia player, and like I said this feels more like a(n intentional) playstyle change than like natural maturing.
im not going to mod game Osie's game
but like if the roles arent randomized, then if there is only one giver of dark marks, then I want to believe its town
else there is probably two, one on each end, to make the game less swingy for one alignment
@rodemy
I am against all of those right now, except Terry/Sloth
last feels like easy mislynch bait and we should look more at the people who were pushing him. Oh hey, that’s what I’m doing.
I dont really care about the people pushing me, I am against it
if I am mislynch bait as you say, then depending on personality, I'd probably expect more wolves to try to pocket me

I’m less sure about terry and sloth than the first two, but that whole pushing last for slipping fonti’s name thing was something out of the blue and felt way too dumb to be an actual reason a town would come up with this early in the game.

I'll drop the Rodemy-growth thing because it obfuscates my point: Rodemy is uncharacteristically careful.
He is usually obvious town in my eyes for finding scum tells where no one else is looking and pushing them regardless of what other people think, whereas here he barely scumhunts.
Does anyone knows or remembers why he's voting Lagoon? I checked back like four pages and all I got was a reminder of how empty his posts are. We'd be very aware of why he's voting Lagoon if Rodemy were his normal self.
There's no way the Dark Mark mechanic was included in the opening and in every(?) role PM if there is only a single player capable of distributing it. What a damp squib if that's the case.
tom's PR is fake but he gets away with a meh for as long as I'm fine with his votes.
rod i appreciate not having to defend myself over the crime of not attempting to determine my own alignment
re: tom in all seriousness I'm not super concerned about being able to sort him 3? days into a 2 week d1 and don't really give a **** about him not posting yet
1. TerRaine - Posted a quick reads wall before going on a walk which is towny as **** cause she's missing her walking time for this...and that time is precious and holding her sanity in place
2. Ampharos - actively hunting and pushing reads. Good tone and attitude…like that not easily swayed even if she thinks her town leans are wrong in their reads.
3. fulcrum - seem much more jokey and light hearted while she pushes people. Very different tone when I played with her as scum in Tiny.
4. Slothful - C/P from when i first said this The tone and approach just reminds me of his town play....poking and prodding to find weaknesses in people's play but not ripping into it. Playing things close to the chest and not needlessly tunneling away. I will admit a big part of it is a gut read. Town sloth tends to save things for later….ScumSloth tends to go full in. Agree with his 508 a lot.
5. Killjoy - Hit the ground running which I like. Actively pushing at things and individual with specific questions and not asking vague “Can I have reads?” that prove he’s reading the game itself and picking up specifics
6. shadowlancerx - Like his caution with the roles when he enters. Not much to go on yet. Was the first to force Axel to clarify his claim which brought to light an inconsistency
7. Jackrito- enters pretty okay I think. Starts asking questions and hunting. Presses for clarification and points out odd meta hiccups
8. Rodemy - god I ******* hated the gambit. But thus far this feels like hyper reactive OMGUSing Rod from prison.
9. ZeDorkSlipeur - agreed with parts of his 219. Not a lot to go on as of yet but feels like he’s picking up on a few of the same things I am. Like the analysis in 525
10. Zionite - Zionites starting post kinda seemed large and didn’t say much that wasn’t obvious or hedging (I agree with Sloth but I see why you did this goo). It’s the same thing I used to push him for a mislynch in Prison.
11. Fuwa - hasn’t done enough to form and opinion on
12. PoisonChan - hasn’t done enough to form and opinion on
13. xX_WakeMeUp1337_Xx - hasn’t done enough to form and opinion on
14. TubbaFett - hasn’t done enough to form and opinion on
15. tomsloger - The gif thing is….limiting to say the least whether its Tom being Tom or a role he has to play. I’ve been able to pull SOME info I think from it on his thoughts but not a lot. Needs to drop the act if it is or pick up his game and post more if not. Not someone I care to lynch D1 but unless there’s a content influx changes not someone we need to keep around forever
16. Lastwhisper - Early in the game reminded me a lot of his attitude at the start of prison. Kinda flippant and dropping only bits of hunting and info…the defensiveness was new though and I’m not sure how to read it. Could be legit town frustration of being hammered on for being town that started with dumb reason (accused scumslip) and mediocre play….could be scum frustration that someone got lucky calling him out and it snowballed
17. gooLagoon - Wasn’t sure how i felt about coming out and claiming. Very WIFOMy which isn’t a tunnel I like to go down. Like I said I’m not a fan of the claim though when he acknowledges he has an antitownish role….but conflates role with Alignment in other posts. In anytime but especially a bastard one you need to keep these and two sep things in your brain.
18. Axelrod - I did not like the claim….seemed to be forced nonchalance. Toms gif set that I translated to “this was a calculate move” hits it on the head. Also don’t like that he changed the claim from one thing to another by saying no role reveal orig. and then later its no role OR alignment.
19. kpaca - hated 262. Very much taking out of context to push a weak case but not build on it. When I call him on it and he backs off it feels fake. It feels like he’s not reading the game fully and just skimming over it. Doesn’t answer fonti on her questions. 390# is ironically hilarious given I’ve seen him not read carefully in this game AND others. The push on tom when there’s much more scummy things occurring seems a waste of time
20. TheRealStinkyJoeTerry - I’ve covered my thoughts on this enough. Summary - Weak case over an alleged scum slip that would be the equivalent of coming into the game and shooting yourself in the face first thing….then just defensiveness of it and no hunting or case building
There's no way the Dark Mark mechanic was included in the opening and in every(?) role PM if there is only a single player capable of distributing it. What a damp squib if that's the case.
I might join you kp, only to try and get him to stop on principle, except that I have learned you can't get him to stop on principle. I think he would literally go to his lynch doing it, even if he was town, to spite us.

I'm reading this and what I'm seeing is you saying the exact same thing for both rod and wisp, worded differently.
I suppose it's true that their similarities this game are mostly on surface but as far as warranting polar opposite responses...eh.
Then I guess I'm not sure what you are asking that wasn't answered in the post you quoted? It's almost entirely the way GL made his claim that feels townish to me, not the claim itself. But! Flavor gaming is flavor gaming is flavor gaming is...
last feels like easy mislynch bait and we should look more at the people who were pushing him. Oh hey, that’s what I’m doing.
Of two minds here: I do agree that the Last pushers likely has some scum there one way or another, however, I do see some issues with Last's play that I haven't made up my mind about, stay tuned for that.
you are probably a good solid town read for your response to my question. I think if you had tried actually answering that question, i'd have you in the scum pile.
What makes Ter towny for that answer, and not just not-scummy?

Thank you for choosing
Rodemy Pizza
It’s not the best choice, but it’s a choice nonetheless
Hm. Yanno', if the only flipless characters in the game are Axel and Last (no one else is claimed that thus far and it has been asked), we might somehow have the weirdest ******* dichotomy I've ever encountered.
Also, for those that are saying that they want to avoid a flipless lynch D1: Are you under the impression that lynching such players after D1 would be more beneficial? 'Cause a "no info" lynch is bad no matter when it happens, and it only gets worse the higher the stakes are.
No, we lynch scummy if it feels right, flip is irrelevant.
On that note, Last too self-conscious and keeps bemoaning/hiding behind the fact that he's always misread D1 and that's why he likes alts - despite several people correectly pointing out this is their first or second game with him, thus that's irrelevant.
That and other things are making me keep a close eye on Last.
Also, Last has yet to flirt with me. Obviously scum. (This is a halfway serious statement.)
Last, before you bring it up, so far my track record for calling your alignment with 100% accuracy has been 5/5.
Still, one of {Ampharos, fulcrum, kpaca} could be scum, depending on their reasons to vote him, but nothing's really stood out to me from their "cases" at a glance.
Rod is making sense. He's making sensible, smart choices and trying to think before he acts.
Rod is scum.
Sorry, bud - but you play with your heart as town, not your mind. That's always been your charm.
Kpaca's frankly disturbing fixation with tom's gifs is more ~town than scum, imo. A scum would probably have let it go by now.
P.S. guys, I've asked several of you questions that you've yet to answer. Please go through my ISO, find your name, and answer. Don't make me chase you. That won't be fun.
you are probably a good solid town read for your response to my question. I think if you had tried actually answering that question, i'd have you in the scum pile.

or she could pocket you?
@Slothful
when are you going to hard tunnel someone? I am waiting...
Last, before you bring it up, so far my track record for calling your alignment with 100% accuracy has been 5/5.
That means literally nothing to me if you end up locking me as a wolf
it's just as useless as Ter saying that Fulcrum is probably town because the chances of her rolling scum twice in a row are unlikely
that is your ego talking
still think scum!fulcrum just pockets me here, but if she doesn't ever get to town me, then I'll start side-eyeing that slot as a possible wolf
Amph is ok, its less likely she makes up that read on Ter as a wolf, but not impossible
Kpaca is Kpaca, I'd rather other people focus on him because of a certain incident in our previous game
don't see how Kpaca attacking Tom's posting style as somehow more townie, its just NAI here
This is a good example:
Growth or no growth, you were already plenty good enough to make this kind of observation before. This is more of a playstyle change than you gradually becoming better. A scummy playstyle change, as if you decided you couldn't afford to go full-speed-ahead-no-brakes anymore.
Lagoon, I agree with fulcrum for disliking Poison's entry post and with Whispy's stance on 488. It's separate from the gambit thing. Generally speaking, you think before you act a lot more than you did in the previous two games.
Tidbit: in both my wolf games with Rodemy on MC I chose to push town!him because I usually had the best chance of providing a mislynch
I'll keep an eye on his consistency though
If we’re going to lynch him, yes.
this is literally the second game I have played with you and I can assure you this is not a meme; I think you are a scum.
Still dissipointed no one else is paying attention to this.
The Rodemy stuff is pretty over blown.
This is how I am reading rod.
I am reading last as frustrated scum tho.
Guess I need to take my own advice and handle pressure better
all the voices so far in this game have their own opinion of what is and isnt a hit, that is why
certain trains might pop off, once the sheeple come in and vote
I am assuming you think that the pushes on Rodemy are kind of a stretch, if so, then I agree also
Vote: Rodemy
I am monitoring said pushes for contrivedness.
It can only come from a town perspective to try and pull the dark mark in the way that I did.
LastWhisper, Axelrod, TomSloger, probably a lurker or the guy who used math.
Being that spot on is scary.
I thought Ampharos just might be good at mafia?
Plus I do have a town game from her that I can look at to compare
that's minuscule though, don't think she is malicious in her push of me
I don't really think Kpaca is either
now I can’t change as a player without being scumread for it. What would you prefer? AMY HAS TO BE SCUM BECAUSE SHE DIDNT INCLUDE HERSELF IN THE VILLAGER COUNT.
vote amy
Yeah? Does that sway you any?
I am trying to be a GOOD mafia player. I assure you there is a reason I did that gimmick and I will explain when claim time comes. But as someone pointed out, if scum give out dark marks, why not give it to themselves first? So that was poor thinking in the first place.
This does not change my Rodemy read yet, but I need more interactions between, with or about these two so I can figure out how they are (or aren't) related.
I’m okay lynching goo> fonti> terry> sloth.
Terry is absolutely town fam.
last feels like easy mislynch bait and we should look more at the people who were pushing him. Oh hey, that’s what I’m doing.
but like if the roles arent randomized, then if there is only one giver of dark marks, then I want to believe its town
else there is probably two, one on each end, to make the game less swingy for one alignment
@rodemy
I am against all of those right now, except Terry/Sloth
This continue to be incredibly fake.
I don't understand why we are not forcing him to drop this.
if I am mislynch bait as you say, then depending on personality, I'd probably expect more wolves to try to pocket me
Being against your own lynch could be a scum tactic I'm just sayin.
I’m less sure about terry and sloth than the first two, but that whole pushing last for slipping fonti’s name thing was something out of the blue and felt way too dumb to be an actual reason a town would come up with this early in the game.
Z, can I point out your ignorance? You are basing this view of my growth based off games YOU’VE played with me. What’s to say i haven’t played other games on other sites? ( hint: I have)
In the only other game I played with you; that's pretty much all you did iirc.
if its the first, Idk? that game was like 2 years ago, I am less reactive then I used to be "usually"
Push? No, I don't think that's the right word.
You more of just flailed and voted for anyone who was mildly suspicious of you. I guess this is different, you're right.
I apologize, but I'm not doing it on purpose, it's not like a have a large frame of reference for who most of you people are; and I don't recall a previous game with you.
Clearly I just need to start referring to everyone as "they" "the person" etc.
What a damp squib if that's the case.
tom's PR is fake but he gets away with a meh for as long as I'm fine with his votes.
unvote: Vote Tom Sloger
This is enough of this, and I encourage everyone else to do the same.
re: tom in all seriousness I'm not super concerned about being able to sort him 3? days into a 2 week d1 and don't really give a **** about him not posting yet
11. Fuwa - hasn’t done enough to form and opinion on
12. Poison Chan - hasn’t done enough to form and opinion on
13. xX_WakeMeUp1337_Xx - hasn’t done enough to form and opinion on
14. Tubba Fett - hasn’t done enough to form and opinion on
15. tomsloger - The gif thing is….limiting to say the least whether its Tom being Tom or a role he has to play.
Disagree
So I guess I've been trained.
Historically speaking, he usually stops at some point.
If he would let us lynch him to spite us, then we should let him. That says more about him than it does us.
I will say, if he's still doing it D2, I may revisit. Unless he actually wants to claim "posting restriction." Then I guess we'll see.
not interested in trying to evaluate him this early in the game
so basically what Amy said
I suppose it's true that their similarities this game are mostly on surface but as far as warranting polar opposite responses...eh.
...I'm missing some context here, aren't I?
Do you have any game-relevant questions for me, bud?
Hah. Okay. Kay. I was talking about the "let's have a discussion about partial claiming and whether we should do it, anyway here's my partial claim don't read me!" bit, but this is enough of an answer for me.
If we were to go by the opening alone, we can sort of surmise some of the town roles and some of the scum ones - and the dark mark are more likely to negatively affect those town roles.
But! Flavor gaming is flavor gaming is flavor gaming is...
Of two minds here: I do agree that the Last pushers likely has some scum there one way or another, however, I do see some issues with Last's play that I haven't made up my mind about, stay tuned for that.
I already said: She could have started up with a false narrative making up something i was doing, but she didn't. Compared to other people who ARE doing that, that puts her ahead. She could have seized that opportunity to push a scum narrative onto me. She did not.
@Slothful
when are you going to hard tunnel someone? I am waiting...
