Game began at noon, PST on may 23rd
Deadlines are 7 days from daystart. Nights will be a minimum of 24 hours.
2 witches/5 villagers
Majority lynch Flipless
Randomized roles
Extra lives save you from death by kill or lynch Swingy
At the start of the game the Witches learn the unassigned role. A single Witch may trade their own role with that role, allowing the Witches a limited amount of optimization of their role assignments.
Role Kill: instead of their normal kill, witches may name a player and a role. If that player has this role, they are killed twice. If they are not that role, they will instead survive the kill attempt.
Gravedigger - At the start of each odd numbered night, you learn the flip of anyone who died during that day.
Undertaker - At the start of each even numbered night, you learn the flip of anyone who died during that day.
Judge - At the end of any day the players fail to select a player to hang, you may privately decide yourself, ignoring any extra lives that player may have.
Assassin - Once per game during the day, guess the role of a player other than yourself. If correct, they are killed.
Hunter - The first time a player survives being killed, you may kill a player other than yourself the following night.
Dirty Old Bastard - Once per game when your death is announced, you may kill a player.
Benevolent Old Dame - Once per game when your death is announced, you may give a player an extra life.
Survivalist - You start the game with an extra life.
Dead players remain in the game to help their teams.
All dead players may communicate in a chat.
Dead villagers become angels. They vote who to visit each night. That player is protected from a kill.
Dead witches become demons. They may haunt a player each night. If that player is visited by angels, the protection fizzles and the demon loses this ability.
(If youre familiar with big witchhunt, this is one of the simplifications. Dead players dont learn information, haunting is single target and works more concretely. Etc)
Ah. I see, you're distracting me and trying to get me to change my mind by joking with me. Neat.
Hm. I came into this game planning to leave you be and let others figure you out after the fiasco in prison, but damn, I can feel the conf!bias encroaching.
I need other people around so I can focus on other things. Where is everyone?
With their friends and families? Hah! What is this, 2019?
...actually in 2019 we could get away from our family...
now they're...always here...
...I miss doing things.
I’m a homebody so I miss it a lot less. There are days though. I’d like a nice smoky poker game, or a nice smoky ping pong game. Maybe I just miss secondhand smoke.
Hey Tubba, I see you rolled Town this time. Good for you.
What are your thoughts on the exchanges on #7, #8, #10 and #12? Do the reactions read natural and townie?
When a humble bard
Graced a ride along

Along came this song...
vote Sloth
So are you Ter's partner or what is this about?
Hi, I'm sloth. Who's Geralt of Rivia? Teach me, Az?
P.S. I'm writing a book series with Ter that has a character that goes by your handle. He is not likable.
Who are all the rest of these people and what should I know about their metas so I don't screw up my reads on them? Toss a coin to your witcher?
@Sloth- No, not his partner. I don't swing that way. I was hoping you could teach me. Like, why are you already so scummy and why I should ignore it and mislynch someone else. Kthxbye.

I don’t get where #7 (i.e, the scumtell) comes from, #8 seems a little stilted and miffed sounding. Could be frustration at being caught?Dont really have a barometer for Ter’s normality though. #10 could be you building a box around Ter, honestly not sure I’m a big fan if that. I guess if you’re right you can look back on this and lord it over me. #12 is again weird and maybe that’s just because I don’t get the joke. It seems like a weak attempt to get you to back off so it might just be farts in the wind.
Who are all the rest of these people and what should I know about their metas so I don't screw up my reads on them? Toss a coin to your witcher?
Pretty much everyone other than you, me, and Tubba is from DLP. Sloth at least is a good player. I've played with Umami I think but I don't remember them. I don't think I've seen TerRaine play.
Oh, he's definitely scummy. The mislynch would be going after someone instead of him. But I'm being fair, and giving him a chance to help me make the wrong play. To mislynch, instead of just nailing scum d1.
Also, someone please help me with meta here. Trying to eval people without a baseline for their skill level and tendencies is like flailing with a baseball bat in a darkened room.
He's solidly seeming Town so far yes. If he's not, it'll become clear - the whimsy is very relaxed and Town from him though, compared to the tension before.
Also there's #30.
Osie, you place a lot of weight on exact wording? I think I recall that from DLP. What else do you look for?

Hm. Good.
Throw in the conditional that I saw no "scumtell" and that #7 was me messing with her. What does that make #10 for you?
I like that you're arriving at some of the same conclusions on Ter's posts that I am without me having to spell it out. But more on that later.

I'm sloth and my meta is that if you think I'm scum based on my play, you are wrong.
I think 9 people out of 10 would say that my towngame is largely indistinguishable than my scumgame, with the one being people like tom and fonti who say "something-something" as the differential...to be honest not sure if they're on to something or just think they are, but I'd advise you do do you own thing as well. Me? I think the difference is more in the end result than my overt actions.
Btw, the bolded above takes you squarely out of "RVS" range and makes your vote on me serious, therefore you have a reason - which you are not providing.
This is the second time I'm asking. Explain your surprisingly strong scumread on me, please

Osie, you place a lot of weight on exact wording? I think I recall that from DLP. What else do you look for?
Oh, that's mostly if I think I might be onto something, which this early is most of what I've got. I look for pure tone, mostly. I tend to town sort. Nowadays, I've been trying to scumsort and look at interactions more often. Occasionally (like I did on DLP), I'll try to analyze vote reasoning, particularly towards myself.
Also "her" not "his." Seriously gonna need to find out why everyone assumes Imma guy one of these days
I didn't assume, but I also interacted prior with sloth, so I had an advantage on that front. (And I don't usually assume unless a specific usage widespread enough amongst people who seem to know someone better.)
Also, someone please help me with meta here. Trying to eval people without a baseline for their skill level and tendencies is like flailing with a baseball bat in a darkened room.
Hm.
Gone over me already.
Umami's a novice, but she's capable of great analysis as either alignment. I don't think she's ever had an true-Mafia game as scum yet (she's played IRL and she was scum in a Avalon game here), so I would be looking for differences in that.
For example, the fact she hasn't posted yet whereas she's usually the first off the bad. But that could easily be OOG.
Ter loves playing scum and her earlier tells was that if she was obviously not enjoying herself as much, she was town, but she's gotten better at that, good for her.
For me, it'll come down to further observance for her. Like I said, I noticed something but I don't want to fell into a tunnel just yet.
I feel like I haven't played a game in forever even though the DLP and Animebase games weren't so long ago and I've played in 1-2 games recently on MC as well. Oh well.
Gun to head readlist despite knowing that it annoys people when I do it this early:
Is this a top > bottom = town > scum list?
As you say, it's gun to your head, but can you talk more about the placing for both extremes? (Ter and Fonti)

Wow, holy crap, are you actually scum this game?
Well, that was easy.
Nope. Are you trading trading green space tree children for PS4s?

Hi, I'm sloth. Who's Geralt of Rivia? Teach me, Az?
P.S. I'm writing a book series with Ter that has a character that goes by your handle. He is not likable.
That's a lie. Az is very likable in the books
I am also curious about what I'm guessing is a random Witcher reference.
Who are all the rest of these people and what should I know about their metas so I don't screw up my reads on them? Toss a coin to your witcher?

Do you SEE he rolled Town or do you THINK he rolled town?
Is he scummy or is he a mislynch?

These two things don't mesh. You think he's a good player but you also think that he'd make such a bumbling mess up as scum slipping like this?
I think 9 people out of 10 would say that my towngame is largely indistinguishable than my scumgame, with the one being people like tom and fonti who say "something-something" as the differential...to be honest not sure if they're on to something or just think they are, but I'd advise you do do you own thing as well. I think that everybody makes mistakes, Ter-chan! Azrael's one of the best players I know and that still might be a perspective slip on his part too.
Simple. Math. 9 to 1 odds male versus female on mtg sites.
I'm always certain. Right up until I change my mind completely.
This isn't a real contradiction with Osie. Not even his real point. Why are you pushing it, as if it is?
I didn't assume, but I also interacted prior with sloth, so I had an advantage on that front. (And I don't usually assume unless a specific usage widespread enough amongst people who seem to know someone better.)
