I initially voted Whispy for his tense reaction to Axel's (and to a lesser extent tom's) joke and to his wagon. He was a lot more easygoing last game so I figured he may be the kind of player who can't completely relax as scum. Furthermore his wagon was made of good, veteran analysts, which did not influence my vote but made me feel good about it.
I am now reversing my read on him because:
— Of Umami's possible TMI. It may not be obvious at a glance but look harder because I assure you it's there;
— Axelrod is being extremely unimpressive and doing very little visible scumhunting (I want to see where he is going with Grape because aside from that his posts are all fluff);
— Killjoy is being extremely unimpressive as well and far too careful and calculating.
So my eyes are on UmAxeljoy now.
Speaking of Umami, it irritates me how his tone has changed since his previous grape of posts. Now he's all sweet and friendly, it looks like a disgustingly blatant attempt to pocket.
Dude, how I get confused of TMI is something I will never understand. The magic of mafia is that if you look hard enough you can make anything make sense
ZeDork are you saying you don't want to be buddies this game?
As far as Umani goes, I can see maybe one post that ZDS is referring to as TMI, apart from his comment towards Tom/Vaimes, and I don't get how that isn't just an observation. Tone change also seems slight, and he just isn't take the game serious. Don't really think it's AI as of this stage.
Well, my vote is still on Whispy, and I’m coming around to ZDS maybe just being a hardass villager.
No comment on your silly question.
Interesting double standard. I would have swapped the two in my mind if I was going to have one of my own. LW seems to be a more serious town. ZDS I don't actually play with enough to know. He just seems as both alignments to be in his own world, ignoring the grain of the game.
I said last game I was taking a new way of playing mafia that doesn't require so much effort from me. That might be what you're seeing here.
I missed this, in the last game. What are you doing that's different?
My usual forte is toask a bunch of questions and be really active in general to find scum.
I'm trying to be less generally active, while looking for town instead. It was around the time of my lynch last game. KCC was surprised about it.
Especially D1 where there's nothing really to go off of.
KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.

You're doing it wrong.
@Vaimes: How about we switch it up this game, and start yelling things about Sloth?

ZDS wasn't really a hardass until later days last game. Or maybe it was because I wasn't really paying too much attention to him.
The Invitational I played with him (where he was town) also wasn't much of a hard ass moment for him. I...might have also hammered him, but eh. It feels strangely out of place. But since I know what the default question about this is: I don't know if it is wolfy or not.
Well, my vote is still on Whispy, and I’m coming around to ZDS maybe just being a hardass villager.
No comment on your silly question.
Historically that's just how ZDS is. I don't remember any other specifics about his play, except that he's... pretty much just like this.
Like his town play or it's NAI? Cause I was leaning towards a town read because of that town confidence thing everyone keeps telling me about
All of his play. I actually misread him last game because before I was brutally murdered by tom, ZDS hadn't posted much. He's more active this game so maybe I can get a more comprehensive view of his alignment on D1.

I don’t know that I like that, considering tom is some sort of clicking creature this time around.
Does that mean you’re townreading tom?
It means... I kinda think you're the same alignment.
Nothing tom's done so far has me thinking he's scum, but that usually takes a while anyway. It's more him+you that I'm looking at here.

Considering how good of a player tom is, surprised how many early town reads he is getting for doing little at this point.
Vaimes, I can dig it.
ZDS, not a huge fan of so far.
Umani is just weird to me.
Probably should read the first two pages.
Well, you're not living up to your name
The name is merely a nickname of a historical figure, and seemed more mature than my monkier on some other sites.
I am too much of an ******** in real life, and don't have the patience to be a gentleman on this forum.

I briefly considered trying to roleplay games regardless of alignment as a British General. Too many people annoy me to keep that facade for no more than maybe one gameday XD./

I actually totally support this, but you have to get the spelling right.

I am going to stick to what I am doing
ive been bored lately, so I am trying to play differently every game
@Vaimes
Fluffy was the wrong word
to me, it feels like his discrediting both wagons
or maybe he knows I am town, can't say much about ZDS though
I do see ounces of, "ZDS probably believes his thoughts"
Umami is pretty care-free right now

Ambush Krotiq makes me laugh so much. I keep rereading the card and it keeps not having Flash. In what sense is this an ambush again? I just have visions of this huge Krotiq poorly concealed in some bushes, feeling slightly sad that his carefully planned ambushes never seem to work.
Vaimes can be there posed seductively on top of tom.
town core feels like a stretch
I think you can think I look good without putting me all the way at the top
Umami is at like, "I probably wouldn't lynch today"
this is the problem I have with you right now
hints of TMI
Umami, please stop trying to be cute. I'm a friendly person and I don't have any animosity towards you, I just happen to be scumreading you right now and you are not helping by acting like you want me to stop for reasons unrelated to your role (ie, friendliness).
Moreover, I would like you to help me read you correctly by taking more stances and acting more serious (you can still have fun while acting serious, I swear). You were doing that before I voted you, it's strange that you stopped. I'm not going to jump on you over the slightest disagreement, I promise.

Ok I can kinda see how he went from carefree to a little nervous
I still like my vote on Killjoy
convince me later maybe

It's page 3 dude. Jesus. I am sure I am also unimpressive and doing very little visible scumhunting
It's the fluff/content ratio that's the problem. Compare your own posts with his.
Whispy, see literally all of Umami's posts after I voted him.
Re: Reading me: 155 and 161 are both correct in general, and 157 is correct right now.
Def picking up on that friendly person vibe. Anyway, I thought back on my games and, while I'm pretty lighthearted/don't ever want to put people down personally and don't take things personally when I play, I feel like my tone could be read as pretty abrasive (in multiple games) so I thought I'd attempt to lighten it up a bit. But I can stop--maybe, we'll see.
ZDS, you're just so confident and so wrong, I can't help but feel that you're town. That said, I don't know you and it sounds like you can imitate that as scum. In isolation, you're a prob town, with Meta according to others it's probably a null. But I hate meta and I hate day 1 and I hate making super early, weak reads with confidence, so meh on my town!lean read.
@Vaimes, I'm town...I'm literally always town. Please don't mislynch me day 1. I'll get better once we get past the meta opening analysis.
The Vaimes/Tom thing is weird, I mean it's not like they're trying to hide it, one of them will get lynched eventually, so if they're w/w it's a poor strategy. I feel like they wouldn't necessarily want to just jump into each others pocket as v/w or w/v, but what do I know. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I wouldn't want to lynch Tom yet. I reserve the right to change my mind almost immediately
No Tom, you were right before, keep this going. Vote Last
Fun story time. As it is Easter, and I needed to get out of bed, I turned my music on and hit play, and the song “Everybody dance now” started. And my wife turns to me and says “Yeah, I could definitely see Jesus coming out of the tomb to this song.
What does this even mean? This confidence feels more false. Because it feels less emotional, but that isn't necessarily a 1:1. I just sort of think any source of confidence this early would be emotional if you were town and could be either as scum. Again, BS/tinfoil early read is shadow scum!lean
@GJ
probably town again
I think I can go for 4 with being correct based on how you entered the game
What does my tone honestly sound like? Because I feel like when I play with my masks, I will force my tone to change, depending on the mask that is on. As long as the masks rotate, I don't really try to roleplay at all.
I mean you can say that
Everyone wants to believe they are "unreadable"
the first line of your post kinda softens the read, feels fluffy
while the second line is something I expect from how town!GJ would enter the game

Wut...
Ok two things: One serious what not:
What do you make of ZDS/LW both apparently wolf reading people seemingly not hunting on page 3?
What's with you yelling KJ's name, since last game?
