KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.
Interesting that Lastwhisper isn't mentioned in regards to "joke" posts, @FlargBlarg. Especially since you did mention a run-away vote train on LW is beneficial to you for reads. Why does LW get a pass?
Doubling down now, I see. Anyone else wanna see where this goes? Vote Lastwhisper
Apperently I quoted the wrong posts before.
So I suppose my question wasn't clear enough. I noted from these two posts that in response to something that could potentially be scummy came immediate and kind of aggressive suspicion. Is this typical for you?
This definitely makes more sense. No it's not typical, but I figured it's as good as any other direction to go in. Shake the tree and see what falls down. But the response I got from other players led me to believe it's not going to be as productive as I'd thought. The mindset playing out from LW I can't get my head around. Not really taking anything seriously felt disingenuous to me.
I have read nothing but Tubba is officially my mason buddy for his avatar.
Vote: KJ
I was seriously going to flip my lid if somebody didn’t mention my avatar at some point.
I can't take anything you say too seriously with that avatar, makes me laugh when I see it. Good pick for sure.

Grapefruit's #101 and #105 doesn't sit well with me. Doesn't go deep enough with scum hunting, elaborates on a town read instead (which is easy as scum obviously). Could even be a distancing vote if my initial read on KJ is wrong.
I also think I have a bad habit of taking too much spotlight. Tends to get me killed early on regardless of alignment just so players can shut me up. I've been vigged for this, NKed, lynched, etc. talking all the time seems bad but I can't help myself. I enjoy playing, to my own detriment. Just tell me to cool it if this is the case.

Zionite: can I see a couple town games and a couple scum games from you to guage your general demeanor? I can't remember how you play.
I used to keep super detailed records when the forum had a blog function. Keeping track of W/L, alignment, linking every game, that sort of thing. Looks like that's way gone now. Would take awhile to put it back together again. Just doing a post check on myself came up with these two most recent games from 2017: Low Fantasy Mafia, Horsemen of the Apocalypse Mafia. Town in both. This post from Horsemen is typical of what I can get up to, although I admittedly don't remember playing these games at all and reading it again seems like someone else wrote it. I was definitely fired up about getting it done. It looks like I was dead wrong and tunneling even with all the analysis (happens sometimes).
Most recent scum game I can find is 2015 (yikes) in Animal Mafia. I died sooo fast haha. Turning point looks like it was here where I tried too hard. Should have kept my head down. KJ you were there too!
If I want to be lazy and reckless I'm happy to lock in town reads on Wisp, Tom, Zionite, KJ, and Vaimes. What ever went wrong being overly trusting during RVS?

at most one of those people has done anything towny
My real stance is I haven't seen much of anything I'm willing to call AI yet. A few town pings here and there but nothing that I really want to hone in on except Tom's zionite read which won't be useful to read tom from for about 3 days. I think I'm inclined to trust the read itself for now though.

It's definitely not you, but my new stance on you is to just write you off until proven otherwise despite that being the exact opposite of how DLP'ers handle you.

The only thing I am thinking is, "does wolf!Tom make that read", probably
"Does he make that on his partner", probably not?
Wouldn't touch him as it stands, I agree with Grape, I handle Tom as a town lean unless I find reason not to
Ohhh he definitely would make that read on a buddy.
Once we have more content that post might say something but right now it's absolutely a read tom would make as either alignment about Zionite as either alignment but slightly more likely if Zionite is town.
OK finally got around to this game, and after reading everything I really don't have as much of a stance on people that I would like. The best I can offer is Killjoy for me is town for now their posts just come off as casual, but this is easy to fake for some people so not much of a town read.
Flarg can also be town for his approach early actually trying to get the game moving forward, and had some conviction, sadly as soon as pushed they backed down ,and went back to Wisp this worries me since it looked like panic so went to a safer vote, maybe just me being overly paranoid though so with that in mind my view may change but town for now.
Apart from that some slight town reads on others namely Vamies, Rhand but more just gut then anything of substance, I sadly have no real scum reads at this point but this is likely still RVS so not that shocking but annoying all the same. Zionite style is perhaps the most triggering to me as scum but not really sure what about it bothers me. KCC and Tubba also post but add nothing really but maybe i'm expecting too much this early though.
Only person I have real exp with is Wisp who is playing weird so not sure how to read it atm since he gave reasons which make sense so null on him for now.
Getting used to longer day phases is going to be weird since I like things done at a faster tempo, getting used to the different culture and peoples existing dyanmics with each other is going to be new as well.

Attempts to game the setup with a cell block analysis seems suspicious to me, but with not much to go on I understand the sentiment. Just the idea of 'let's make this meta thing the topic' distracts from actual evaluation of posts and it's fluff. Within page one however it makes some sense. I would be much more suspicious if there was other evidence to go on.
But yeah, it's random per rules.
Btw, this right here is the most pointless post of the game. It also seems to take care to appear to not be seen as such.
I know, someone else already brought it up, but I noticed too so,
Vote: Zionite
Btw, YWFMLF stands for You Will Fear My Laser Face.
If I want to be lazy and reckless I'm happy to lock in town reads on Wisp, Tom, Zionite, KJ, and Vaimes. What ever went wrong being overly trusting during RVS?
Honestly, I say go for it. Maybe people will make more noise if they think a townblock is forming.

@KJ I think tom's read is solid and I now can't form a read on Zionite separate from it. I think they are >rand to be town. Rand is what 75% so maybe up to 85%.
I agree on that section but Jack's wall and formulations are so natural to me. If Jack isn't generally a similar player to myself I think it's the sort of wall that's over the top and busy worky but can be genuine. The hedges on everything are what made me make the comparison to myself. That sort of hedging is usually scum indicative, but to a player who is a kindred spirit to me it's as natural as breathing. I'm voting because mafia in general tends to beat that personality quirk out of players so we're rare in general, but if Jack's town I'm sure it will be obvious that we're similar in that way.
Does scumgrape's guilty conscience let him double down on jackrito playing like himself being a scumtell?
Does towngrape actually see someone like himself and his immediate reaction is "kill it"?
I read it as town because of the 3-4m delay between the post and the vote. I don't know grape but I feel like Scum either votes there immediately, as its a pretty safe vote with a hedge built in, or votes elsewhere because they have this setup in the future. I think TownGrape probably takes those few minutes to genuinely parse his own question and come to a conclusion.

Also rhand and maybe von. Jack's entry post is okay - Grape, explain your vote?
And that's it!
I may do one or two if the mood strikes, but for the most part I'm more of a read.
Example: I can see a world where Zi is scum and Flarg is their partner.
Maybe.
Not sure.
Certainly won't elaborate now.
How are you doing?
But, Last is playing an unconcerned, chill game (that Zi hilariously called "doubling-down" in a way I don't get?) that strikes me as townish for now.
Tubba's Prison Mike. Just makes me laugh.
Do you have a read on anyone else?
