Rhands self meta realization feels like an odd thing for him to fake as scum.
Why? -I wasn't voting him for tone or how his case was directed, were you?
Rhand is just trying to reframe the case as tonal, when the issue is the content of his posts
That’s not actually an unfair point to make, and you’re right, it wasn’t really about tone. Nevertheless, it’s not impossible for him to have believed that it was a factor. It’s probably something I’ll need to look at on another day, not gonna have enough time prior to deadline.

shadow did push you...
He did shade rhand...
He has his push on cantrip because he townread everyone else but was more open to lynching both of you as you gained suspicion.
I don’t think any of this is particularly fair. You can boil down my posts and be “technically correct”, but not actually correct.
I think shadow positioned himself such that he can vote anyone but me or KJ. Which to be fair, so have i lol.
But hes be mainly pushing one person and got more open to killing others towards middle of the day and focused back on his one towards the end.
Its not (neccesarily) scummy, but the only way that profile doesnt make sense as scum is if cantrip were his partner.
Like, you and rhand both work as partners. Certainly all the people he didnt push at all.

What doesnt make sense to you?
FTR, I don’t want to lynch anyone but Cantrip with a side of Tubba.
As far as the rest of this...I feel like you’re trying to wiggle your world view into scum reading me, rather than asking if my actions really make me scum. This is not me shading you, I think you do this as town plenty, and very specifically think you’re town this game.
@Cantrip: Tubba is not there by default so much as there because he’s done vaguely scummy and vaguely townie things in similar amounts.
WRT LyLo: I’m not downplaying anything, I’m calling out crappy logic for what it is. It does not matter at all whether a player is scarier, or stronger, or more threatening, what matters is lynching scum, so suggesting that other people should join you in voting me because I’m the player you are more worried about is bad logic.
Exasperated sigh was because you made me placing a second vote sound bigger than it was by referring to it as L-2.
~~~~~
I’m not certain there is lynch support for Cantrip, can I get a sound off for that please?
I am celebrating my own birthday, so probably not on for deadline.
I’m starting to think I’m wrong about KCC and Cantrip seems to be in his town meta, so I am wrong about someone else.
Not KJ for sure, and I think my vote on tubba is in the right place.
I hope to see tomorrow to re-evaluate. I have people over for my birthday, so can’t do it now.
Sketchiest to me right now, never really explained your vote on me, and happy birthday and all but it’s a cop out to getting me mislynched to let it go down like this.
@Shadow
Top three scummy things I’ve done this game?
@Cantrip: Tubba is not there by default so much as there because he’s done vaguely scummy and vaguely townie things in similar amounts.
What have you found scummy from him?
Fair.
Ah. As I mentioned, I feel like L-2 is a more significant threshold than just "claim range".
Also, this isn’t me claiming anything, but I can probably prove that I’m town tomorrow
...what? Ok, your early Day watcher water muddying comments were +town, but now it feels like trying to avoid the lunch.
I believe we're at:
Rhand (2): KCC, Tubba
Shadow (2): Cantrip, tom
Tubba (2): Rhand, Shadow
I don't think there's support for Rhand? I'm leaning town on him, KJ and Shadow think Rhand is town, and he's Tom's 3rd pick.
I will definitely switch to Tubba to avoid a no lunch. I think Tom would, too.
Hmm. Tubba would vote Shadow, but KCC and Rhand think Shadow is town, so not enough support there, either?
And Happy Birthday, Rhand!
EWP: Tubba, I think this is the first time you've mentioned the possibility of me being scum. Why am I scum?
Mostly because I dont want to die and better players than me have expressed suspicion of your slot. I’m suspicious of any body willing to vote me to be honest? Like you mentioned, I don’t really think I’ve done anything overtly scummy, but the game is too small to yolo lynch unproductive town.
@Tubba (Cantrip): I don’t think I could name 3 things specifically. You’ve been reactionary, to the point of posting immediately after someone mentions you, despite not having seemed present. Basically lurking. Again, I’d call that vaguely scummy, just because it’s you anyway. I already pointed it out, but you’re also too self aware for your own good.
Interestingly, all this said, the fact that you pivoted onto Rhand, rather than me, is a pretty good look for you.
I’ll admit that I approach the game far too egocentric. I focus on myself but I find my best play comes from interactions with other players. I need to initiate those exchanges more for sure, but here we are. My meta is lurking unfortunately, scumTubba would’ve found something to push by now.
KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.
It was used to describe an old user silversahde? He later became Arianrod or something like that..
Silver Rage is when you're upset you miss out on an oppertunity to appear town, like missing RVS,
In this case, I guess it would be the inverse. "If you'd have waited 30 mins, you wouldn't have had to vote me".
Maybe that's something else, idk. Do you see that in that post?
Yeah KCC for sure is town. Her push on me feels natural. Also consensus lynch.
Rhand is finding scummy reasons for things very easily. Also actually the vote on KCC feels bad. He kind of just goes from no read on her to scum in a split second, then starts seeing everything she's doing as scummy, including snipping out a vote from a quote. Also I can't see good motive for the question he asks in 79 about who the mislynches are. Actually rhand is almost smug in his scumread of KCC.. IDK what that actually means though.Does Rhand actually tunnel THAT hard?
I'm not sure on Shadow. I'm leaning that the early game watcher wifom is probably a good thing but could be fooling me.
I'm also not sure on tom. I kinda mindmelded with him about KCC, but KCC maybe being town makes me wonder if the initial push was in good faith then? Kinda like some of his pushes though? MAy still be scum with Cantip possibly.
Cantrip is... normal Cantrip. Except he's way too confident in my being town. Eurovision ended in my lynch due to Cantrip not being able to easily read me. Also... I don't like that I dislike so many of his posts.
Tubba is doing his tubba thing, but I think that's how he does. I feel like he's more aggressive as scum. He's self aware but... that's normal for him.
I just got my kids to bed. Deadline in 53 minutes, yes?
KJ, talk to me about how the way Shadow approached me toDay comes from town, specifically town!Shadow.
And I had you solidly pegged as town WAY early in Eurovision. If I had stuck with my feelings there, well...maybe we would have lost anyway if you had voted me, but at least I would have had the satisfaction of going the right direction. I'm getting the exact same vibes from you this game.
Shadow, it feels like you're half-claiming, which is exactly what I would expect from scum: the maybe-claim wards off the lunch and/or gets the watcher to claim.
I'll check the thread regularly until deadline/lunch.
Also talk to me about Cantrip being mad at Shadow for not waiting 30 mins that I highlighted earlier.
nope. Its not that far off from mine
Idr what you said about it but at the time i read it as jokey because he got ninjaed?
Maybe cantrip thought the vote wouldnt have happened if hed posted before, which might be scummy but im not totally sure how
Ok, compare his posts here (especially before I pressured him to vote me) with some of his early posts to me in Secret Agent (which I believe was the last game we were both town in):
Random hottake: Cantrip is intentionally trying to play in a feisty manner to mask his alignment from the likes of myself/Tom. Which, scum!cantrip would obviously feel the need to do, but town!cantrip may also attempt it for the sake of it.
@cantrip: because [masking your alignment as town] will work better for your overall gameplay in the long run? Do you not think like that?
That game he's trying to get into my head. Here, he didn't even start off thinking I was scum; I was just his default.
I have a pretty strong town lean on Tom, not as strong as on you, but I think scum!Tom is generally more assertive and wants to command the thread, and here he almost feels lost.
You said you thought Rhand was questionable because of the way he's attacked KCC; what are your thoughts on Rhand's last post where he says KCC and I are feeling more town?
So Tom you don't take issue with Cantrip's opinion of Shadow?
Also talk to me about Cantrip being mad at Shadow for not waiting 30 mins that I highlighted earlier.
nope. Its not that far off from mine
Idr what you said about it but at the time i read it as jokey because he got ninjaed?
Maybe cantrip thought the vote wouldnt have happened if hed posted before, which might be scummy but im not totally sure how
Being mad you got voted isn't a reason you would think that's scummy?
KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.
Ive got a show tonight but ill have a phone and frequent smoke breaks.
Lynch preference is shadow>kcc>rhand>>tubba>>>cantrip>>>>>>>kj
I take it you never saw my post spoiler to you? FTR, I don’t want to lynch anyone but Cantrip with a side of Tubba.
As far as the rest of this...I feel like you’re trying to wiggle your world view into scum reading me, rather than asking if my actions really make me scum. This is not me shading you, I think you do this as town plenty, and very specifically think you’re town this game.
@Cantrip: Tubba is not there by default so much as there because he’s done vaguely scummy and vaguely townie things in similar amounts.
WRT LyLo: I’m not downplaying anything, I’m calling out crappy logic for what it is. It does not matter at all whether a player is scarier, or stronger, or more threatening, what matters is lynching scum, so suggesting that other people should join you in voting me because I’m the player you are more worried about is bad logic.
Exasperated sigh was because you made me placing a second vote sound bigger than it was by referring to it as L-2.
~~~~~
I’m not certain there is lynch support for Cantrip, can I get a sound off for that please?
I’m starting to think I’m wrong about KCC and Cantrip seems to be in his town meta, so I am wrong about someone else.
Not KJ for sure, and I think my vote on tubba is in the right place.
I hope to see tomorrow to re-evaluate. I have people over for my birthday, so can’t do it now.
Cmon
Vote Tubba
Sketchiest to me right now, never really explained your vote on me, and happy birthday and all but it’s a cop out to getting me mislynched to let it go down like this.
@Shadow
Top three scummy things I’ve done this game?
Fair.
Ah. As I mentioned, I feel like L-2 is a more significant threshold than just "claim range".
...what? Ok, your early Day watcher water muddying comments were +town, but now it feels like trying to avoid the lunch.
I believe we're at:
Rhand (2): KCC, Tubba
Shadow (2): Cantrip, tom
Tubba (2): Rhand, Shadow
I don't think there's support for Rhand? I'm leaning town on him, KJ and Shadow think Rhand is town, and he's Tom's 3rd pick.
I will definitely switch to Tubba to avoid a no lunch. I think Tom would, too.
Hmm. Tubba would vote Shadow, but KCC and Rhand think Shadow is town, so not enough support there, either?
And Happy Birthday, Rhand!
EWP: Tubba, I think this is the first time you've mentioned the possibility of me being scum. Why am I scum?
Mostly because I dont want to die and better players than me have expressed suspicion of your slot. I’m suspicious of any body willing to vote me to be honest? Like you mentioned, I don’t really think I’ve done anything overtly scummy, but the game is too small to yolo lynch unproductive town.
Interestingly, all this said, the fact that you pivoted onto Rhand, rather than me, is a pretty good look for you.
Unvote. *pondering*
"I suppose I'd have had to catch the bullet, wouldn't I?"
Rhand (2): KCC, Tubba
Shadow (2): Cantrip, Tom
Tubba (1): Rhand
With 7 alive, it's 4 to lynch!
Deadline is 11:59PM Eastern on Friday, 15 Nov. That's in a bit over FOUR HOURS.
Vote Cantrip
Would vote anywhere (almost) to prevent no lynch. But only to prevent it.
I'm having trouble finding things to attach relevence to in a game this small.
brb
Question: Is this Silver Rage?
I'd vote Shadow or Cantrip to avoid mislynch, but I don't like the odds on either
Is there any chance of more Rhand votes? I'm so so confident here but I don't know what more I can do
Can you answer my question though KCC? I think you know what Silver Rage is (you're an old fart on the site like me) so I'd like to know your opinion.
I do not remember that term, probably the old age
Silver Rage is when you're upset you miss out on an oppertunity to appear town, like missing RVS,
In this case, I guess it would be the inverse. "If you'd have waited 30 mins, you wouldn't have had to vote me".
Maybe that's something else, idk. Do you see that in that post?
Rhand is finding scummy reasons for things very easily. Also actually the vote on KCC feels bad. He kind of just goes from no read on her to scum in a split second, then starts seeing everything she's doing as scummy, including snipping out a vote from a quote. Also I can't see good motive for the question he asks in 79 about who the mislynches are. Actually rhand is almost smug in his scumread of KCC.. IDK what that actually means though.Does Rhand actually tunnel THAT hard?
I'm not sure on Shadow. I'm leaning that the early game watcher wifom is probably a good thing but could be fooling me.
I'm also not sure on tom. I kinda mindmelded with him about KCC, but KCC maybe being town makes me wonder if the initial push was in good faith then? Kinda like some of his pushes though? MAy still be scum with Cantip possibly.
Cantrip is... normal Cantrip. Except he's way too confident in my being town. Eurovision ended in my lynch due to Cantrip not being able to easily read me. Also... I don't like that I dislike so many of his posts.
Tubba is doing his tubba thing, but I think that's how he does. I feel like he's more aggressive as scum. He's self aware but... that's normal for him.
Vote Cantrip.
I'll be on the road for the next half-hourish then after that I'll be occasionally glancing at my phone. I will be able to kinda sorta talk.
Happpy Birthday Rhand!
But also, seriously? I'm suddenly a town read once my lynch isn't viable?
I get what you're saying, it could be something? This kinda feels like real analysis from you, but it also feels like a push away from rhand
How do you end up with a vote on Cantrip from here?
Cantrip: I think Shadow's point is that two votes isn't much. Saying it's L-2 or claim range makes it sound like a bigger deal than it normally would be.
Deadline is 9 our time, yeah?
But im with you on rhand. His push is very snowbally and i dont like it.
As for cantrip i think everyone should be confident youre town so
KJ, talk to me about how the way Shadow approached me toDay comes from town, specifically town!Shadow.
And I had you solidly pegged as town WAY early in Eurovision. If I had stuck with my feelings there, well...maybe we would have lost anyway if you had voted me, but at least I would have had the satisfaction of going the right direction. I'm getting the exact same vibes from you this game.
Shadow, it feels like you're half-claiming, which is exactly what I would expect from scum: the maybe-claim wards off the lunch and/or gets the watcher to claim.
I'll check the thread regularly until deadline/lunch.
But
I do think its scummy from him here
Also talk to me about Cantrip being mad at Shadow for not waiting 30 mins that I highlighted earlier.
Idr what you said about it but at the time i read it as jokey because he got ninjaed?
Maybe cantrip thought the vote wouldnt have happened if hed posted before, which might be scummy but im not totally sure how

You said you thought Rhand was questionable because of the way he's attacked KCC; what are your thoughts on Rhand's last post where he says KCC and I are feeling more town?
If think that would be an obvious reason.
Also: you haven't talked to me about Shadow's approach on me. Why wasn't he trying to figure me out (if he hadn't already figured me out)?
