You said you don't listen to teammates who order you around. But, would you accept their advice? Would you listen to tips on how to approach this game, their impressions of the other players, and things like that?
@KCC: after Vaimes answers, how important do you consider RVS voting to be?
I can answer that now. Me and iso used to play "how many scum can we catch in the first 100 posts". I think iso generally won that game, but I held my own. Anyway, we could only play that because RVS is so important.

And it was my question. I understood why that "you can wait for vaimes" was attached, which I appreciate, but I wasn't concerned with my answer effecting vaimes's
Because instead of saying exactly one, and locking that group down, he’s saying up to one, which has an entirely different connotation.
Exactly one is super useful for false clearing/chain lynching/whatever, whereas up to one reads more like someone making a genuine situation read.
@KCC: technically Vaimes did participate, just didn’t vote, is that something you specifically think comes from a scum mindset more often/do you assess it based on player?

Why were you not concerned with effecting vaimes’s answer?

Yes, Vaimes did participate, I just didn't like it.
In a vacuum, not voting probably comes from scum a little more often than town, along the same lines as a vote-the-mod tell. But, it's more about the why. What was the motivation here? -It's just that I did it first. And that desire to blend in, and knowing he can just point at me if called out on it, fit with a scum mindset.
Now that the show has officially opened, it's time for the first number of the Eurovision. This time, hosts are dancing and singing to the audience, making painfully true jabs at the Eurovision and its history. While this number will give you all a bit more time to prepare yourselves for the show, you can't help but to feel anxious about the rumour you heard earlier. You try to write it off as a joke done with a bad taste, but still, something seems to be amiss here...
@Silver: it doesn’t feel like a walk back, but I’ll grant there’s not really much there to say either way.
Popping in to add that I would probably expect scum, when asked to clarify that question, would be more likely to go "1, maybe more" rather than "1, possibly 0". Barring multiple buddies in Vaimes/Silver/KCC, I guess, but I agree with Shadow that it's a townie response and I like Emiko for it.
Can you explain in more detail why your no vote RVS post is acceptable and vaimes’s is not? I don’t understand that.
Sure. I had a good reason. I wasn't going to pass up on completing the joke from the sign-ups, especially when I had the first post of the game, 3 minutes after it opened.

If I squint, I can see her thinking I was copying her.
If you squint? Your reaction was literally, "you did it first"!
Yes, but I didn’t do it because you did it. I did it because I wanted to. You proposed a scenario where I did it specifically to fit in, which is wrong. But it’s not verifiable, so whatever.
I don’t know why you’d think I would go that route to blend into RVS instead of just...casting an RVS vote.

Mkay. Your push on vaimes still seems flimsy and opportunistic to me, and I could see you taking this strong stance to preemptively defend your own post.
Your post to answer the question before vaimes answered yours struck me as you caring more how you’re perceived than for getting his response to the pressure you were supposedly interested in applying.
However, your responses to me make me less sure of that read. So I’ve got my eye on you, but I’m not to the point of thinking you need to claim or hang.

I know you unvoted, but what? If I was scum worried about needing to defend that post, my preemptive defense would be... not posting that in the first place.

I could understand this reasoning in some circumstances, but in what way could my response have possibly influenced Vaimes? It was apples and oranges

Attempting to distract while also finding opportunity to claim your post is okay by force of personality alone. Best defense is a good offense.
It’s not lock-tight, and I keep wavering on if I think you’re honest in your push of vaimes or not.

I admit, when I read your response again (before I post 134), I saw it was unlikely to influence him, though I’ll never rule out all possibility. But I was mostly probing because of the mindset I mentioned, and your claim of impatience made me more certain, as impatience leads to faster, gut-level decisions which could leak scum mindset.

Personally I don't think you're gonna get anywhere with these questions you've been tossing at me. I feel like you're focusing on stuff I don't really care/think about and don't have anything to do with my role PM. Do you disagree?

Would you take advice from teammates here?
Why? Can you remember any specific circumstances?
what do you mean ?
I did kind of think his poking was bait though.

is their read on you bad or okay ?

My answer had no overlap with what I asked him.

But it’s something I feel I do roughly every three to five games or so?

So, why didn't you say that instead of pointing back at me?
Because being scum is hard, because mimicking town behavior isn't the same as naturally having town behavior
I've seen scum try to blend in during RVS in similar ways

I'm with Vaimes here. I don't really get how what Vaimes did could ever indicate his alignment.
It's RVS. Most of the votes are just because.

That's a town game.
I can very specifically remember a game where I said verbatim, "No RVS post," but I can't seem to find the thread. I'll keep looking.
Guess I overinflated how many times I've done this.
