KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.

Your opponent rolls a 12 and you roll a 5. "Getting lucky to start the day," your opponent chuckles with a grin. Your opponent mulls to six, then five, then keeps, picking up two cards and sending them straight to the bottom of his deck. "Guess that lucky streak ended quick," you are quick to retort.
Your suspicions that they are Tron are confirmed when they play an Urza's Power Plant, then taps it to play a Chromatic Star. This matchup's hard if they get natural Tron on turn 3, but reasonable otherwise. You play a Stitcher's Supplier, milling over some lands. Whatever. You pass the turn back. Your opponent cracks the Star for green, then plays an Ancient Stirrings, finding another Tron land - an Urza's Tower. They play it and pass the turn. On yours, you play a Satyr Wayfinder, milling over a Vengevine. You chuckle to yourself, as you know your opponent is going to be in for a world of hurt. You exile five cards from your graveyard and tap your two creatures to summon a Hogaak, Arisen Necropolis from your hand. This brings back the Vengevine to crack in for 4. Your opponent draws their land, and scoops it up. "Easy," you think to yourself.
Round 2 goes similarly to how Round 1 did - a pretty easy matchup against a big mana deck that doesn't have much interaction for your graveyard shenanigans. You win the die roll here and crack a Wooded Foothills to play a turn 1 Faithless Looting, dumping a Vengevine and Bloodghast into the bin. Your bespectacled opponent leads off with a Gemstone Mines and a Sakura-Tribe Scout. "Poor opponent," you think to yourself. On your turn, you go off in a similar manner to your Round 1 game - you crack another fetchland to get the Bloodghast back and play yet another Satyr Wayfinder, luckily milling over a Hogaak, Arisen Necropolis. You cackle to yourself as you tap the Bloodghast and the Satyr Wayfinder to summon the mighty, powerful, 8/8 trampler on turn 2. Your opponent tries to do some fancy stuff with Simic Growth Chamber into Azusa, Lost but Seeking on their next turn, but you kill them too fast for them to really get their engine going. Magic tournaments are jokes when you register the best deck.
What an incredibly interesting and engaging game of Magic: the Gathering you and your opponent have played.
Rhand has been killed.
Amulet Titan, Town Vote Granter
It is now Day 2.
With 14 alive, it takes 8 votes to lynch.
Day 2 will end at 11:59PM EST, Sunday, September 1st. I've moved the deadline to EST because I will moving back to Amherst. Here is the deadline.
Well, my evil friction based plan worked better than I had even hoped for. I'll be less abrasive today.
Vaimes thought Azrael couldn't play his stuff before EoD. Az did but Vaimes was unmoved. Town.
Vezok counterclaimed the scum in a very believable way. Town.
Axel wanted to punch me in the face for my Fuwa antics. Town.
KCC felt pure all day and also stabbed Az repeatedly. Town.
Killjoy "didn't like either lynch" but ended on the scum, that's likely town.
Fuwa was voted on by a few people I find suspect and I kind of like when people want to stab me, so they are probably town too.
So late in the day one of my sneaky opinions is "Oh man no matter Az's alignment shadow is probably town here due to wagonomics, how interesting" and that holds true now that he was scum.
So let's see 7 town reads based off wagons throughout the day. Probably have to downgrade Beeboy to "maybe" just because that read isn't as strong as wagonomics but that leaves 3ish scum in Tom/Wisp/Grapefruit/DK but everyone tells me DK looks really good so we'll see. Oh, Cantripmancer somehow avoided my list both ways. He's probably ok for now.
Tom's "oh man shouldn't have hammered in case he is town for Vezok" feels super scum.
But let's go back to Grapefruit.

Ambush Krotiq makes me laugh so much. I keep rereading the card and it keeps not having Flash. In what sense is this an ambush again? I just have visions of this huge Krotiq poorly concealed in some bushes, feeling slightly sad that his carefully planned ambushes never seem to work.
I can’t quote the posts right now because I’m on mobile... Azrael hand-waved my Killjoy case multiple times during D1, then in post 997 he made a point of saying I was upset because people were ignoring my “good” reads. The read in question: the Killjoy case he ***** all over.
Plus KJ’s late day posts about Azrael were super scummy, as was the way he dodged both wagons.
Funny that the “vote for the mod” tell still works
Quote from Az »
Waaaay too long" might be a bit of stretch given that we're not all that far into D1 and this is our first major wagon Vaimes. Still, might need to alter my town playstyle to fit the reality that I just don't have time to fight off and dissipate negative attention in the fashion that I'm used to doing, and that apparently hardly anyone has the slightest idea what my meta is anymore.
Worth looking at other wagons that he didn’t think were major wagons.
Running out of steam/time here for tonight. I don't suppose anyone will just take my word for it if I tell you that KJ is hard town, tonally, also?
So far I'm at:
Town
Grapefruit
Dkingsland - numerous strong townie attitude posts.
Killjoy – strong tonally
Vez - genuine attempt to counter-claim, strong tone.
cantripmancer
axelrod
Sir chris
KCC
Rhand
beeboy
fuwa - self-deprecating frequently, fence sits on both sides of shadow and sir chris, no reasoning for sir chris vote. Inconsistent in characterizing her own attacks, seems to suggest her attacks subjective and might be valid only in her own eyes. Very light-hearted/carefree in tone, which is somewhat unusual for inexperienced scum .
vaimes
Tom
Syrenz/LW - entertains two diametrically opposed ideas using strong language for each, wavers, then picks one. Not organic read.
Shadow
Mafia
Saving this for later. Might color it.

Vaimes/Tom/Shadow team? Gutsy for all three to poke at me, but...
Very possible this is 3 town, but if this is rule of 3, then it is Tom over Vaimes every time.
That’s as far as I got overnight (in the past like few hours of actually looking)
If we are going to read anyone as high town based off day 1 and their interactions with Azreal
It's probably KCC, and vezok with being like 99% lock town
Also yikes, vote: Chris
There is no way you can PoE me as a wolf with Azreal after how he handled me and how I handled him
And I think Grapefruit is just as unlikely
Anyways I still have one more day of my vacation, so adios
I don't even remember your interactions with him, I didn't go back and read I just listed off people I think are town.
I don't even understand how that's an argument. "You can't PoE me." Like, I wasn't PoEing you, I was eliminating others and haven't eliminated you. What a strange thought. Which town read of mine do you think is overly aggressive?

All of them, that I didn't mention, generous to the point of TMI
But sure, I'll wait for a real read on me, I feel like people have been avoiding me, but that might be mostly because I haven't been in the thread as much since going on v/la
I will be back home Monday evening and then I can focus on this game
Question, did the rule of 3 become a thing before or after Azreal took his break? Either way if that actually is the case Tom would definitely be at the top for now
I still would like more content from him
Fuwa might have been a buss to save Azreal since he was the mafia joat
Still find it stupid that he was lynched, his content when he was able to post pocketed me, and if not for the double joat thing, it's unlikely he would've still died
Which to me always makes Vezok town, with the slight chance he bussed, but that buss would be stupid and highly unnessacarily.
Also the clarity coming from him about his role early gives me more reason as to why he is town imo
@tom: trying to get a dkings wagon started is about the most useless use of your vote possible.
And you don’t even explain why that dkings post is scummy.
I think my vote is already on scum, and I really want Az to claim, but I am sold tom is scum too. Even more so if Az is scum.
I don't place a tremendous amount of stock in trying to figure out why the scum kill who they kill in the night, but this one feels worth noting to me.

And we should also clear up Fuwa's claim a bit, now that there's time
Role seems pretty straightforward, and given that she's unlikely to be on Azrael's team, I don't think it's worth pressing her.
If both wagons were scum, the scumteam prioritizes saving Azrael 99% of the time. Possible that Fuwa is lying about her role, but claiming JOAT after Azrael AND vezok seems too weird for scum.
