Lng, talk to me about Cantrip and where you’re at with me here? Also, I don’t think Rhand’s early treatment of me is ever wolf-wolf. (And I don’t think my treatment of last is ever wolf-wolf, but worlds where Last is scum just don’t materialize for me).
KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.
I don't understand the hedging on me or Shadow... like we probably the two most towny players in this game right now...
ALL TOWN SHOULD PASS THIS MISSION
if it fails we now know that there are two wolves on this team, and yall can do w/e the hell u want with that information
but from my POV Rhand is obvious, I thought if there was two the other one was probably killjoy... but im starting to think I am totally wrong about Killjoy
@KJ: what exactly are you expecting as an answer? -_-
@Lng: Real talk, even if Cantrip is town, I’ve been much more obviously town than him this whole game so I’m no really sure how you’re seeing him as townier than me.
Eh, I'll accept it. Only cause I'm more interested in it than anything else you guys have shared this entire game, you lazy *****s.
What even is this...defeatism? Seriously, Riku, if you have concerns, voice them. You're certainly not going to change any minds by putting on your Eeyore suit. I'd still like to know if your 494 is what you plan to propose if Shadow's proposal fails.
@Lng: Real talk, even if Cantrip is town, I’ve been much more obviously town than him this whole game so I’m no really sure how you’re seeing him as townier than me.

I'm getting weird vibes from Shadow's response to KJ. I'm leaning toward rejecting this solely because I don't want to rely on Shadow's version of events if the mission fails.
@Cantrip: okay, what would you have said to KJ then? Asking “why should I trust you” is literally a useless question in a game like this. How is my response giving you weird vibes?
Lng, talk to me about Cantrip and where you’re at with me here? Also, I don’t think Rhand’s early treatment of me is ever wolf-wolf. (And I don’t think my treatment of last is ever wolf-wolf, but worlds where Last is scum just don’t materialize for me).
First of all, there are no reveals in this game. Wolves can treat each other however they want with impunity. In the last game, we shoved Mikey into the boonies almost immediately. Immediate Bussing is never wolf wolf but it happened.
Second, the question was meant to be awkward and not have an obvious expected answer. I would have hoped your answer would have been something from the heart. Instead, you try to anticipate what I wanted from you instead of just answering.
It was really one if those questions that I wasn't looking for a specific answer and would judge responses received on their merits.

I wasn’t “anticipating” what you wanted, I was calling it out as a silly question. Give me a break that you expected me to answer from the heart and have that somehow tell you something about my alignment, even if you are town I don’t buy that. Like, really, what answer would you expect me to give? Frankly, there’s no honor among thieves, so no one should trust anyone here.
And fair I guess wrt bussing, just don’t think that’s how I would approach things.
KJ, what does that tell you about Shadow, then? You don't seem to have gotten what you hoped for, but I can't quite tell where you end up in that post.
Lng, talk to me about Cantrip and where you’re at with me here? Also, I don’t think Rhand’s early treatment of me is ever wolf-wolf. (And I don’t think my treatment of last is ever wolf-wolf, but worlds where Last is scum just don’t materialize for me).

Cantrip: actually, this is now the response I was trying to illicit. The first answer didn't tell me anything. It was kind of a no answer This is a more "from the heart" answer and I like it.

Ya you are right there are no nightkills in this game and no lynches, so we can't be hedging on people...
Look at me and look at rhand, or even look at shadow, if you think that Rhand is town over either of us, then idk what to tell you...
Ignore Rhand's w/w on me and shadow, ignore my track on Rhand, and look at all of us individually and tell me what scum motive you see in anything I've down specifically, or Shadow
And then go reread Rhand and tell me he is anything but scum, and it's not like my track was unwarranted, I expressed my thoughts on rhand's early game and how it pinged me
Anyways, this mission isn't do or die...
All town need to pass this mission so we can either win, and if not, we go from there, like it isn't rocket science
Heh, I was going to tell Shadow that I would have responded with something more emotionally invested. His initial response felt detached.
@Wisp: I agree with Shadow that it's highly likely you're town. I also know you trust Shadow more than you trust me. But from my perspective, him sending this team and me having to rely on him vs me sending the same team and knowing who gets dummied will make all the difference if the quest fails. And if it's going to pass either way, then I can be patient until my proposal (unless Riku's mission goes) and then have at least that peace of mind.
To make sure I'm communicating clearly, let's say this mission goes and fails. That either means that a) Shadow actually did send Rhand on the dummy mission and there's another informant among you/KJ/LnG, or b) Shadow is scum with Rhand and sent someone else on the dummy. I'd rather not have to sort out those two situations. I'm not even sure where I'd start.
Of course, that exact problem exists for the rest of y'all if the mission proposal comes to me; I realize that. But for me, I'll always take "mission failed; I *know* it's one of Wisp/KJ/LnG" over "mission failed; it's one of the two situations I described above and I have to sift through Shadow's words to see if I can figure out if they're lies or it really is one of Wisp/KJ/LnG".
@Shadow: You say you've been "more townie" than I have. What's your take on me right now: town or scum?
But from my perspective, him sending this team and me having to rely on him vs me sending the same team and knowing who gets dummied will make all the difference if the quest fails
@KJ: what exactly are you expecting as an answer? -_-
@Lng: Real talk, even if Cantrip is town, I’ve been much more obviously town than him this whole game so I’m no really sure how you’re seeing him as townier than me.
Interesting post. What makes you say that?
@Cantrip, I trust you more than shadow to have actually dummied the person you claim to dummy.
@Cantrip: I don’t know. You’re inversely tied to Ruma, but unless we’re about to win, you’re never scum together. I had some pretty strong bad vibes from you earlier, but some decent posting more recently, aside from your continued “this quest would be so much better if I ran it” weirdness; because, obviously the quest is always better for the person proposing it because of the dummy rules, so duh.
@Lng: Casue I have been. Say what you want, but Cantrip has had some pretty lackluster moments this game.
Also, as far as dummying the person I actually say I’m going to dummy...Hey @Rhand, I maybe will try and dummy someone else and see what happens
(For the love of all that is good in this world, no one act like the sky is falling, and if you comment on this to try and break my WIFOM I will take it as a scum claim. If you don’t see what my possible goal is here, I will be more than happy to go into it after this mission, unless we win, in which case you’re welcome.)

Why is that weird? It *would* be better if I ran it. And there's a chance I *could* run it, so...

Lolol. Ok, this is what I've been missing from you. This is the first really fun-loving sounding post I've seen you make so far. Where you been?
@Cantrip: yes, you could run it, but so could I, and the weirdness is more about the “hey you guys” aspect of your posts in that you’re very obviously playing to your interests, which hey, if you’re town could be fine, but aren’t actually based in anything concrete, which your tone has continually implied.
My mouth isn’t dirty, tell me I’m wrong, comeatme.gif
I’m offended! I was all party before business at the start of this game, and I’m actually really enjoying this (save for not going on missions, cause I still haven’t gotten to use my epic mission clip that I want to). And on top of that, passing the second mission with a dummies fail is like the best thing ever. Actually, what is your take on Last, what percentage town do you put him at? (For reference, per my post somewhere above, I’d say it’s about 99%)
Just as things seemed to be going smoothly everything went pear shaped. They had a man on the inside but when the rest of your crew spots 5 FBI trucks on the way to the fort you know it's time to call the mission off and go back to the drawing board.
Mission 3 has failed.
KJ, Last, LnG, and Rhand were on the mission.
Pass, Pass, Fail
It is now proposal phase 4.1.
Riku has 72 hours to submit a proposal.
As a reminder this mission requires 5 people on it and needs two fails on this mission to fail.

I was never not going to dummy Rhand here, I was hoping he’d be scared enough to fail and I’d have confirmation on him, but he passed. As soon as I saw only 1 no vote I knew this would fail.
I am really not happy that lng didn’t vote.
So the next mission absolutely can’t have Rhand, and I’m trying to decide who else.

Given what happened with Rhand, Wisp, is not wisp unless this fails then it's 100% wisp. So if we just don't send Lngrrr and Rhand, we win?
... no because I am not an informant. So I don't think that holds.
Also, I find it weird you have Wisp in two of your choices, and yet say it is me. Even though Rhand just got dummied, and VOTED PASS. And LW supposedly dummied Rhand who voted fail. Given that informants had to fail last mission, why do you trust LW at this point?
Wisp obviously failed this mission.
Which means Lngr and KJ are town.
The way Lw keeps townclearing Shadow without real reasoning, enforces the LW/Shadow team.
I don’t think I will accept anything Riku is going to propose for mission 4: he’s most likely scum 3.
Ahh, I hate this game. Someone slap me for tinfoiling last...I just don’t ever see a reason for him to not fail mission 2.
Looked through Lng’s iso, definitely a couple things that are good, ran across a few posts that raised my eyebrows, and telling us after “Well I would have voted no” is such a cop out response.
@last: what are your reasons for liking KJ better now?
I haven’t really taken anything Rhand has said or done seriously, but if we don’t win mission 4 I will consider everything. But that sounds like work, can we just...win now?
Ruma’s defeatism strikes a false chord with me, so I’m curious to see what he proposes.
So, I can't afford not to put myself on this mission. But here are some possible theories:
Shadow chose a team with three robbers and rhand (spy). This is because shadow is a spy too. He dummied someone other than rhand, to make it seem like there is another spy.
Perhaps 3.2
[quote]
Proposal 3.2: KJ, LnGrrrR, Wisp, Riku
didn't go through because scum manipulated, and that team was all town. Let's see.
Okay, so it looks like it was mostly wisp saying it than shadow and rhand grabbing onto it. Good. That looks like town leading, scum following. I could definitely see how that could happen.
Following up
Yes (5): KJ, LW, Rhand, Riku, Shadow
No (1): Cantrip
Not voting (1): LnG
Cantrip rejected mission, LngRrr was absent.
Let's say for a moment that 3.2 was all town.
1.1 would almost always pass. Only way I can think it would fail would be Scum leader: Town, Scum. Dummy scum buddy, fail it as the leader then let the town take the fall. If Rhand is actually scum, LngRrr is town.
Mission 2:
Lngrr, Rhand, Killjoy, Wisp (Leader).
Dummy Rhand (Who theoretically failed).
Lngrr, Killjoy. I'd say these two are actually town. Even if Lngrr hasn't been great at accepting or rejecting missions *shrugs*.
Mission 3:
Rhand, LnGrrrR, KJ, Cantrip
The first mission where the leader didn't send themselves. A crafty trick. I think it could be likely to be a scum trick here from shadow as I mentioned earlier. Thus the possible team that I am tentatively going to suggest.
Riku, Killjoy, Lngrrr, Cantrip and Wisp.
One of these has to be scum. But, if we take out the two people I think are likely to be scum, it has a high possibility of passing.

Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I am also called Riku. I tend to prefer being called riku.
No. That’s just lots of words and absolutely zero reads or actual analysis, Ruma, why did you vote yes on the last mission? What were your reads, what are they now?
Given informants have to fail this mission or lose, at least shadow will have to go against a specific player. Hm.
I will think it over. Leaning no for now, and thinking about just kicking this mission to Cantrip.
Club Flamingo Wins: 1!
Anyways, if it's LW or rhand, then this mission would force you to take a stand and maybe make it harder to make teams.
Blah, this game feels tougher than normal mafia.
Club Flamingo Wins: 1!
That team with me would mean I am bussing both my buddies for most of the game. Why ever would I do that in this setup?
ALL TOWN SHOULD PASS THIS MISSION

LnGrrrR will be prodded and I will be considering my options as this is his second prod.
It is now mission 3 KJ, Last, Lng, and Rhand have 24 hours to submit pass or fail and Shadow has 24 hours to submit his dummy mission target.

There's likely one scum in you/Lngrrr if you dummied Rhand. There's likely one between wisp/ Rhand. Therefore the last one is between Cantrip/riku
ya, as soon as I saw 5 votes for yes...
opinions on KJ? liking him better than Grr at this point
the problem is still you, but I think you've been towny enough, and I cant imagine Rhand calling us both w/w with you being his partner...
So here are our worlds that we need to evaluate
Worlds:
Grr/Rhand
Shadow/Rhand
KJ/Rhand
... no because I am not an informant. So I don't think that holds.

Blah, we shouldn't have sent Last and Rhand. They were already against each other. Without trusting Shadow, it doesn't really solve that dichotomy.
Club Flamingo Wins: 1!
Which means Lngr and KJ are town.
The way Lw keeps townclearing Shadow without real reasoning, enforces the LW/Shadow team.
I don’t think I will accept anything Riku is going to propose for mission 4: he’s most likely scum 3.
Could someone compile which missions were voted for how? I would, but don't have time for it :/
Looked through Lng’s iso, definitely a couple things that are good, ran across a few posts that raised my eyebrows, and telling us after “Well I would have voted no” is such a cop out response.
But here are some possible theories:
didn't go through because scum manipulated, and that team was all town. Let's see.
Okay, so it looks like it was mostly wisp saying it than shadow and rhand grabbing onto it. Good. That looks like town leading, scum following. I could definitely see how that could happen.
Following up
Cantrip rejected mission, LngRrr was absent.
Stop being dismissive to a default no matter what I say, exactly what you do when you are scum.
No, I ignore you. You are dismissive. Major difference.
