“...To my family, if you ever find this message, then it means my enemies have managed to catch me. While I hope that they will stop after my demise, I can not dispel the fear in my heart that my death is not the only one. No, I'm afraid my death is just a beginning of the spiral of death that will take away the lives belonging to people I held dear while I was still alive. Therefore, I can leave to you only one piece of information that will hopefully end up saving your lives: Trust no one!”
Enrico, head of the family is dead, and the time to act is now. Will you help preserve the empire and amass wealth for the family for years to come; or will you try and snatch up as much as you can for yourself, ensuring your own future at the cost of the people you once called family?
Whatever you choose, you must act quickly, because no one else will wait while you grieve.
Welcome to A Death in the Family Mafia, a normal game where everyone is part of a Mafia family, and no one is safe!
#i: I am the mod and reserve the rights to change these rules.
#0: Have fun, be respectful towards the other players and follow the normal forum rules.
#1: DO NOT talk about this game outside of this thread/Role PM/QTs that I have given to you. This is a modkillable offence.
#2: DO NOT quote any private message (Role PM or QT message). Please paraphrase instead. This is a modkillable offence.

#8: Please post at least once per 48 hours. If you have not posted in 48 hours, you will be prodded. Failing to respond to the prod within 48 hours will lead to your replacement. If you know you won't be able to post for a while, please let the mods know beforehand.

Everyone had gathered in the fancy parlor to discuss the course of action now that the Enrico had passed away in what seemed to be a murder and inside job at that one. The nice and fancy parlor with the red wallpapers and nice, antique wooden furniture didn't help to alleviate the atmosphere of tension and suspicion the slightest. This matter was grave enough that all the other activities in the house had been suspended for the time being and everyone, including even the servants had been summoned.
Everyone knew that this wouldn't come to an end unless you decided to get to the bottom of it and now. There wasn't any time to be wasted, since if you had traitors among you who had gone far enough to kill Enrico, they most certainly wouldn't just stop there. Everyone's life here was at risk and more than you spent on idling, the higher the risks became. No, you needed to root out the traitors and deal with them like you are supposed to and no just let them be and hope that it'll all go away if you close your eyes and pray. Experience had thought this to all of you.
No, it was time for you to take the matter into your own hands before it would be too late!
It's now Day 1. You may post. With 16 alive, it's 9 to lynch.

@Vaimes, you need maybe a day to see Venice. Tops. Unless you are one of those horrible, "You realllllly need to spend at least 3 weeks in nowheresville to truly capture the hearty and spirit of the city!" Look pal, I have a job I have to go to. I know Americans have a bad stereotype of hitting the checklist items, but they are checklist items for a reason, dagnabbit.
KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.

I’m not much into checklist items. There are other sights I prefer to see.
for declaring he dislikes the current game state in #20, then doing nothing about it.
(tomsloger did this too and is also losing townpoints from it).
Hm. This makes me think things.
Questions for you:
In your head, does everyone start with a positive number of townpoints?
If not, did tom do something to gain townpoints before he lost them?
I'm also noticing you're not treating what Wisp did and what tom did with the same level of... ire? I guess? So why is Wisp's "not liking the gamestate" worse than toms?

Rodemy is still scummy, and Tau moves down because that felt forced
Personally I didn't like any of the entrances outside Tom
I'm gonna take this game slower than I've previously done in past games on this site, and to answer your question, I was focusing on another game, which I botched at EoD, losing to Mafia
@killjoy
What gave you the idea that I was having fun? I'm just glad to be back, had a falling out with my community, so if anything I'm not particularly in the mood for anything

IDK if you're happy or not, not so I know how that's relevant to the game.
